The article does make u give it side eye.. no usual ppl are writing such abo type things.
Also do u think jkk thinks that ppl take interest in their friendship or look at it more closely than other pairs? I remember there was this interviewer who asked jk if all BTS has the same friendships among others like how he has with jm or not. while mentioning to jm the interviewer also referred to that one moment in BTS's book. don't remember if it was regarding Tokyo trip or if it was the bar scene when jm goes after jk. leaning more into the later one. the interviewer seemed more like he wanted some controversy regarding BTS's friendships but jk handled it well.
Then when that other interviewer in US asked jk "I know jimin's in town too right?" the question ain't odd but looks like jk wasn't expecting it lol. he looks baffled there for a sec and given how they were acting secretive i wonder.
This is an interesting question and I'll admit I was intrigued a bit by each of those situations when it happened.
But first, I do want to look at it from an outsider perspective because I do think there's an answer here as well that has nothing to do with them as a romantic ship.
Jungkook being asked live during an interview about Jimin shouldn't be shocking. The interviewer was a BTS fan and for her, knowing there's another member of the group freshly arrived in the city, of course she'd briefly ask about him. It was entirely plausible during that interview. But Jungkook was caught off guard because the remark wasn't probably part of the previously established set of questions, which means he wasn't prepared with an answer in English, hence the awkwardness.
As to the other situation, that ended up a written interview for an American magazine (Variety, Vanity Fair? I don't remember, but I do know it was one with long history in the entertainment business).
If the interviewer mentioned a passage from the book in the context of Jungkook's friendship with Jimin, it shows that the person has done their research. That's the bare mininum and going as far as finding that particular source (which is mostly for the fandom circle), it shows there was a bit of digging. But even if that entire source wouldn't exist, I believe (and this is where my heavily biased perspective comes into play) that for an outsider, it becomes obvious very fast that Jungkook and Jimin have a close relationship just by observing them even in group settings. It is less complicated and less debatable for those who are not heavily involved within shipping/fandom spaces. We can sometimes lack perspective or see the bigger picture because we're too close to it. For a person who probably dedicated just a couple of hours of research because they had to do an interview with Jungkook, Jimin most likely stood out in terms of friendship/relationship of any kind.
Was the question asked in order to create controversy? It is possible of course, but in this case, I doubt it. The stakes are low. Even if the interview would gain traction given the subject, the usual readership of the magazine is not the fandom of a kpop idol. It wouldn't be worth it and I doubt anyone dug deep enough to know that group duos and dynamics can be a sensitive topic.
Lastly, apart from the short piece in W Korea being slightly weird, it does make me pay attention even more to the type of coverage and reactions that AYS is getting ahead of its release. If for almost a year, the excitement was contained in jikook circles, it seems that ever since the first teaser a few weeks ago, it has captured the attention of the fandom at large and beyond.
Factors such as their popularity as soloists do come into play to a various degree, but I believe that the footage we got so far is really appealing to a wider audience. They are simply fun to watch! You don't need to ship them or to believe they are in a relationship to be able to enjoy it. They have chemistry together and people are drawn to that.
To answer your initial questions, all these inquiries over their relationship or mentions have always remained neutral, without an actual hint at something else. Yes, there was talk about couple pjs, a Japanese website calling their announcement of the show as them looking like a couple, or using the word bromance in the headline. But all these are small details that are used as fun ways to attract/cater to audiences, while remaining in the platonic sphere. It's good for business, but everyone is keeping a safe distance. Which I believe will be entirely fitting with the actual show.

Chapter 29 - Oh, take me back to the start...
You blinked in the harsh light.
Your hands were being gripped by someone, so you opted for letting your now-watery eyes adjust to the brightness of the room, slowly.
The noise of someone crying.
You wanted to frown, but it hurt to move your face.
"Water?" You croaked, because your tongue felt like a strange object inside of your mouth. Dry as sandpaper.
Someone placed a little plastic cup near your mouth, and you swallowed its contents, almost anxiously. You coughed, your throat raw, your breath wheezing.
"Mum?" You suddenly recognized the person who was holding your hands. It was also were the bawling was coming from. You stared at a woman that looked like your carbon copy, only with a different hair color and twenty-something more years under her belt.
Your words made the woman cry even more. She was inconsolable. Why was she so sad?
"We're so glad you are finally awake."
"Dad?"
You were so confused. What did they mean, finally awake? What the… Were they doing in Japan? And your entire face and body, why did they hurt so badly? You suddenly felt the need to scream. You inhaled deeply, filling your lungs, preparing to give free rein to your instincts when you remembered.
You had been walking out of a coffee shop, expensive chai latte in hand. And then what? Did you fall asleep?
"What is happening?" It was not a horrendous scream what came out of your mouth, but a sad whisper. You felt like something had been taken away from you. Something important.
Your parents told you everything.
You were in the hospital.
A meteorite had hit Tokyo, causing devastation in and around Shibuya.
There were many, many people dead.
"Tell me their names." You demanded. You propped up on your elbows. It hurt badly, but you refused to lay down. Suddenly, knowing who had died was the most important thing in the world. But why? You had been alone… Hadn't you?
Your parents told you. There were a lot of people in the hospital, but the ones they listed had been already confirmed dead.
You didn't know who it was that you were looking for but they weren't there.
Your parents stayed for a bit longer. In that time, they told you about how lucky you were to still be alive - your heart had stopped for a little bit over a minute, but started beating again after the doctors performed CPR. You still had plenty of injuries; you had a big dark bruise across your cheek and other just as bad on your jaw, your lips were broken and bloated beyond recognition. A huge bump on your head. Cuts on one of your hands, your torso, arm and shoulders.
But you were still alive.
"Your parents seem nice." A voice said, from behind the curtain that separated your side of the room with that of your neighbor's, once they had left. A girl, about your age, maybe? She spoke to you in English, but you replied back in Japanese.
"They try." You smiled, softly. They were nice. You were lucky to have them. "They told me I look like an absolute monster, tho."
The girl you were talking to opened the curtain, so that she could have a look at you. She was wearing a pink hospital gown and had dreadlocks in her hair. She was really pretty, cute as a button, and had friendly expression to her which was what you liked most.
"It's not that bad! Seriously." She said after looking at your face for a while. "At least you will have a believable excuse for skipping work or uni. Me? What I'm going to say? My ribs hurt so much… If it wasn't because the doctor will give me the sick leave they wouldn't believe me. Plus, with those lips you look like Angelina Jolie."
You laughed, then winced in pain, then kept laughing a little bit more. You talked for a while, and you learned she was also here because of the meteorite. She told you her name was Kuina and you told her yours.
"This is going to sound weird… But I feel as if we know each other already." You said, all smiles. "Maybe meeting girls in the hospital after a horrible accident is the best way to make friends." Like meeting drunk girls in the bathroom of a club. Instant friendship.
"I feel like that too!" She exclaimed, happily, clapping her hands together. "I have an idea. The food in here sucks so, why don't we order some take away and go get it to the entrance of the hospital? We can pretend that we are visiting someone."
"With this face?" You pointed at yourself, and then turned to look at the clothing your parents had brought you. You tilted your head to one side. Sweaters, jeans, joggers, underwear… And a baseball cap. Might work. "Okay, let's do it." You nodded excitedly, and jumped out of the hospital bed. If by jumped, one meant slowly and very carefully got down, cautiously moving each limb to test the damage. Kuina was placing an order already, getting dressed once that was done.
You got dressed as well, putting on some white jeans, a pink oversize sweater, sneakers and the baseball cap. Perfect disguise.
You both left your room, giggling quietly to yourselves, standing upright and pretending to find the walls extremely interesting every single time you came across a nurse or a doctor.
You found the entrance to the hospital and sat on a bench to wait for your food, getting to know each other, talking about inconsequential stuff. Which was just what you needed.
You were laughing-grimacing-laughing (why did having fun had to be so painful?) about something your new friend had said when you noticed someone was staring at you.
A good-looking guy with blonde hair down to his shoulders, wearing a pair of black jeans and a white t-shirt, who was signing some papers by the reception desk. Probably another meteor victim getting released from the hospital. Or just someone normal, who had, who knows, gastroenteritis?
You looked at each other. You felt a sense of longing you had never experienced before.
Kuina snapped her fingers in front of your eyes. "Hey! Where did you go?"
"Okay, don't look…" You looked from the mysterious blonde man to her, but kept switching from one to the other every few seconds. You didn't want him to disappear. "There's a hot guy who is looking at me."
You facepalmed, when she, quite literally, turned her whole body around so that she could look at the blonde. "Who, that?"
"Lower your voice, Kuina!" You were turning a deep red color, and seeing as your face was already purple-ish, you were sure that was not such a good look on you.
The handsome man was smirking, obviously having noticed you were speaking about him.
And he started walking towards you.
Kuina was dying of laughter, covering her mouth with her hand to try and muffle the sound. You were just surprised smoke was not coming out of your ears.
"Hello. Sorry to bother you, do we know each other?"
You were about to say "No, but do you want to know me?" in a stupid attempt to flirt when you thought better about it. About that sense of longing, that had done nothing but increase the closer he got. About, how, suddenly and ridiculously, the only thing you wanted was to be on his arms. Because you were convinced they would feel like home.
"I'm not sure."
"Maybe we have seen each other around at the hospital?"
"I just woke up today for the first time. I got hit by that meteorite. I went into cardiac arrest." You couldn't stop talking. The way he looked at you with those bewitching brown eyes was so intense. You showed him a lopsided grin. "According to the doctors I actually hit my head very, very hard and quite a few times, so it might be that we actually have seen each other before and I just don't remember."
"I would remember you."
The look Kuina gave you seemed to say "What are you doing you haven't asked for his number already!? He is soooooooo into you", eyebrows raised and eyes widened. She pretended to receive a phone call and stood up, moving a few steps away from you, while she mouthed the words "ASK HIM OUT" as clearly as she possibly could.
You took your cap off, placed it on your lap, and run your hands through your hair, not really knowing what to say.
"The thing is…" The stranger continued. "I do remember you, I just can't place you. But I also was there when the meteorite hit, and also went into cardiac arrest, so I guess not remembering something or someone is not out of the question."
"Maybe we met right before the meteorite hit and we have post-traumatic stress so none of us remember." You shrugged, saying, as always, the first thing that came to mind. Why did you have to be so awkward? "I guess then we should meet again. Have a second-first meeting."
You extended your hand, trying to look serious, but that smile hadn't left your lips.
He shook it. His touch made you feel starving for more.
"Name's Chishiya."
Why did it feel like it was the second, or even third time you were hearing those words?

Neon Genesis Evangelion 11
Most of this episode is just characters restating the problem over and over.
Basically, Tokyo-3 experiences a power outage. The NERV base is also affected, which results in Misato and Kaji getting trapped in an elevator the whole time.
What makes this especially irritating is that the story keeps teasing interesting plot developments only to abandon them immediately. For example, the episode opens with Ritsuko and other NERV staffers discussing the three Magi supercomputers that run Tokyo-3's government. So maybe the blackout is tied in with the Magi? No, it's not. Ritsuko had planned to run tests on Eva Unit 00 today, so maybe that's what caused the blackout. No, it wasn't that.
Oooh, maybe Gendo Ikari sabotaged his own facility, as part of some weird scheme he's up to... nope, he doesn't know who did it either. He just knows it must have been a human enemy, which is ironic, since NERV is trying to save humanity from the Angels. Well, at least it'll be fun to unmask the saboteur... no, that never happens. If we ever find out who did this, it isn't in this episode.
Vice Commander Clownshoes points out how it would be disastrous if an Angel attacked at a moment like this, and that's exactly what happens. So you'd think this episode would be focused on getting the power back in time to fight the thing, but not quite.
Mostly, the focus is on Shinji, Rei, and Asuka as they attempt to enter the base without any power. Rei has emergency instructions in her purse, and Asuka declares herself the leader, and they bicker the whole way in. For some reason they crawl through ductwork, and it's kind of boring because it's not like anything will attack them on their own turf. There won't be a malfunctioning security system or anything like that, because the power's down.
As the Angel threat becomes more pressing, Gendo Ikari orders the Evas to be prepared for launch, using a diesel engine that was set up in case of emergency. We see him helping the others to set up all the stuff with pulleys instead of machines. I'm not sure how any of it works, but whatever.
So when Shinji arrives, he's surprised to find the Evas ready for use. Ritsuko tells him that his dad believed that the pilots would show up when they were needed, and so they did. Nice.
So when they're finally ready to deploy, the Evas have to ascend a vertical shaft, but the Angel is waiting above them, secreting a corrosive solvent down onto them.
They only have a few minutes of battery power to work with, so Asuka finally proves her worth and comes up with a plan. She takes her Unit 02 up into the shaft to defend the others. Rei goes down to retrieve the weapons they dropped earlier. Then she'll hand off the weapon to Shinji, who will open fire on the Angel. Asuka takes the defense job because it's more dangerous and she wants to repay Shinji for helping her out of that volcano in the last episode.
And it works! Another Angel bites the dust. I think this is the eighth one? It's enough of them that I've lost count.
With that settled, the kids chillax outside while they wait for the grownups to restore power to the city. Rei waxes philosophical about how humans fear the darkness, so they scrape away at its edges with fire. Whatever you say, kid.

Am I too late for this?
💝 A headcanon about their love language🌟 A headcanon about their desires/wishes💤 A headcanon about their sleep
Luckily I love Karma headcanons so never too late. Karma heacanon asks
A headcanon about their love language
I honestly feel like Karma's idea of love language is insulting the other person (affectionate). He's repeatedly described as a sadist after all. I think this is with some kind of mutual understanding that he doesn't actually mean it. He is also arguably portrayed to be relatively touchy, especially for a Japanese person.
In terms of receiving? Possibly a mix of quality time and acts of service, but it's hard to judge. I think Karma is very slow to trust, at least to the extent of full comfort, so doing things that reinforce trust especially would maybe ring well with him.
A headcanon about their desires/wishes
I mean we all know he wants to control the world from the shadows.
I think most people talk about Nagisa being very single-mindedly goal oriented. My opinion is that Karma is actually very similar in this regard, it's just that the difference between them is work ethic. Nagisa will work his ass off to achieve something. Absolutely, Karma will do the same, but if there's an easier route of doing it he will take advantage.
What I find fascinating about his wish to become a civil servant is that he was inspired to do so because he admired the stability they were able to achieve (likely in reference to the 2011 Fukushima disaster).
The thing about the civil service (and I can only speak to the UK on this but I can't imagine it being too different) is that it's not a career you go into if you want to be rich. Don't get me wrong, you get well compensated especially in the upper levels, but someone as smart as Karma would easily make double the salary in the private sector.
It's also not a career you go into because of your own desires. Like, you pretty much have to set aside your political opinions and prepare to do whatever the current government want you to. You also sacrifice much of your capacity to publicly speak about those opinions outside of work too.
So anyway, as much as Karma talks about 'pulling the strings', and hey maybe he does have his inventive ideas about efficiency at least, it's actually a pretty interesting career choice for his character (I mean, it's called being a civil servant). This is honestly why I love analysis of 7 years skip Karma being there's a lot of potential analytical depth here. But I've gone on too much about it already right here...
A headcanon about their sleep
I think I've settled on him being Not a Morning Person. Clearly he doesn't have a super set routine at least, because in canon we know he skips breakfast - implying he didn't leave time for that. We also get it implied in the graduation album that he sleeps amongst his work... so I feel like he's the type to be productive in the evening before eventually just kind of passing out. I don't know why, but I see him enjoying naps a lot.
When I lived in Tokyo, given that I'm only 5'5, I wasn't far off being too tall for my bed/blankets. So being over 6 foot, I can only see this being a genuine problem for the guy. Like I'm sure he probably has the sense to specifically buy a bed that fits him and such, but there'll always be standard situations. So I see him having to curl up a lot, lest he get very cold feet.
I also see him being a bit of a restless sleeper. Like, sometimes he dream-fights and just thrashes around, waking up in weird positions. Has been known to punch a pillow to death.

At 4 p.m. on the dot Tuesday afternoon, as scheduled, UConn women's basketball legend Diana Taurasi took a seat in front of a USA Basketball backdrop and stared into the camera with a signature gigantic smile.
Taurasi, 40, is still going strong at every elite level of basketball.
But for the first time in 18 years, Sue Bird was not sharing the backcourt and wasn’t within earshot as members of the U.S. women's national team gathered for a four-day minicamp in Minneapolis.
“Sue and I pretty much talk every single day, whether it's a text or something stupid someone said and she sends it to me and we laugh over that,” said Taurasi, who teamed with Bird, her former UConn teammate, to win five Olympic gold medals. “We're always communicating. It was weird. It was strange getting here and not having Sue. Usually right now we're having coffee and talking for about three hours, then we'd have dinner and we'd have another coffee and talk for another two hours. When your best friend is not on the team anymore, it is a little bit strange. I'll have to find someone else to bug.”
Taurasi also is one of the few public figures to have been in constant contact with longtime Phoenix Mercury teammate Brittney Griner, who decided not to participate in this week’s Team USA minicamp. Griner was detained in Russia on drug charges in February 2022 and sentenced to nine years in prison, but was returned to the U.S. as part of a prisoner exchange that made international headlines in November.
“It was a situation that I thought wasn't going to happen,” Taurasi said. “I'm not a person that lives in this fake world of optimism. I knew how serious everything was. I lived in Russia for 10 years. I know how serious these things are there. ... I really thought it was going to be a long time before I got to see my friend again. Every single day, we suffered and hoped that she would be back. Not until I saw her did I really believe it. Just to see her smile, just to see her free, was really emotional for everyone.
"And we knew at the same time, even as she got into that plane and we got to Phoenix, there was going to be a whole new set of challenges, a whole new reality, a whole new way of living life for BG. All I can say is that every day she's in a great place. She's so thankful to be home. She has so much admiration for all the people who pushed and helped and made sure that we got her home. It's a work in progress but it's just amazing to see her at home with her friends and family. The one thing that has never left BG is the ability to make people happy, and to make them smile. I'm just so glad she's home with her family and her friends.”
Taurasi and Griner, both former No. 1 draft picks, have been teammates with the Mercury since 2013. They won Olympic gold together in 2016 (under Geno Auriemma) and again in Tokyo (under Dawn Staley).
“We just have a special relationship where we can connect on a different level, which is, for both of us, really nice,” Taurasi said. “I've never had a friend go through this. So I think for everyone involved, it's a situation that's very particular and very strange. But BG always finds a way to find lightness in everything. Yeah, we've had probably too many jokes that I can't share, too many stories that I can't share. But just happy she's home. We talk all the time.
“We're both in Phoenix. We both live there full time. So we've hooked up a couple times. We chat on the phone, text. This morning, she texted me, 'How's camp going?' She wants to be part of this like no one else. So she'll get there eventually. She'll find her footing.”
Bird retired after the 2022 WNBA season. Taurasi, who turns 41 in June and will be 42 before the 2024 Paris Olympics, shows no eagerness to walk away no matter how difficult the preparation for games and seasons has become.
“As I look at you guys, I know some of us are a little bit on the older side,” Taurasi said to a Zoom media audience. “It's a daily grind. It's something I've focused my whole life on, to be as healthy as I can be, to be on the court, to make sure I'm available to my kids and my family. It's been something that the last four or five years has really consumed my life, to do everything possible in order to be on the court. I continue to do that now. It's something that I find as a challenge and I like to do it. And we'll go from there.”
Taurasi won three consecutive NCAA championships at UConn before going on to become the WNBA’s all-time leading scorer.
“Since I stopped playing in Russia [in 2017], I've had to reorganize the way I look at my basketball career,” Taurasi said. “When you're playing year-round you're kind of just always in shape and you're just in that constant going from team to team, always being in shape. And when you settle down and you just play the WNBA, the offseason is long. You really have to plan it out and see the times where you can really push yourself, and times when you have to look in the mirror and say, 'I need to backtrack a little bit.' So it's an ongoing journey. It's a great process. You learn a lot about yourself and how committed you are. Because when you're not on a team, you could easily not do it. You could easily just go to happy hour instead.”
Taurasi has not yet signed a contract for the 2023 season.
“I expect to,” she said. “That's something I've said for a long time, that finishing my career in Phoenix is something I have a lot of respect for and something that I want to do. But you never know what can happen in this world, right? As we've seen in the last couple of weeks, anything can happen.”
Asked if she would take less money to create cap flexibility for the Mercury, Taurasi said, “Yeah, I don't know about that. I'm not one to take less money. I don't know about you guys.”
Taurasi said he recently met Mat Ishbia, new owner of the Mercury and the NBA’s Phoenix Suns. She averaged 16.7 points last season, her 18th with the Mercury.
“Last season, for a lot of reasons, nor here or there, I didn't feel like I brought the best version of myself,” Taurasi said. “I feel like there were glimpses of days where I was like, oh, this is still pretty easy. And there were days where I was like, I'd rather be somewhere else. This is just another challenge for me, approaching this season with a different mindset. I'm excited about that.”
Taurasi famously shouted into the TV cameras, “See you in Paris!” after winning Gold with Team USA in Tokyo. The Paris Olympics are July/August of 2024.
“USA Basketball is a very special organization,” Taurasi said. “I've been a part of it since 1998 when I started playing under-18's. I played through college. It's been a part of my basketball career as much as the WNBA, as much as playing overseas. It's something that I've always taken great respect in playing. It's always been a big honor. And any time I'm asked to a camp, I'll drop everything to try to come if I'm physically ready, and ready to go.”

— like a moth to a flame.
→ pairing: war x chaerin kim.
→ word count: 2,185
→ song: i listened to so many songs writing this but the most frequent one that got a lot of spins was definitely the boy is mine - ariana grande lol.
→ notes: stop letting me self indulge in 1-2 year old wips, im so serious rn !
Chaerin woke up with the expected feelings for her 18th birthday: a sense of excitement that felt both genuine and hollow. She loved birthdays and the idea of being celebrated, but the routine had become so predictable that she knew exactly how the day would transpire. She lay in bed for a few moments, staring at the ceiling, waiting for the feeling of something different to creep in, but nothing came. She blew out some air as she rolled her eyes and turned to the outstretched window that gave her the perfect view of the sun rising over Mount Namsan.
As it always did, the day would begin with a birthday message from her parents on Skype. It had become a tradition since they hadn't been home for the celebration for the last 7-8 years.
The routine was set in stone - she'd get up, have her birthday breakfast cooked by the penthouse staff, and then be presented with the exact cake every year: a chocolate buttercream golden cake with sprinkles. Later, a private birthday dinner would be held at Pierre Gagnaire à Séoul with a carefully curated group of friends to post their equally curated group photos on Instagram. It was the same predictable pattern every year with the necessary changes to fit her social media circle, followed by 364 routinely identical days until June 1st rolled around again.
Chaerin groaned loudly, already feeling the weight of the day's familiarity ahead of her. Mentally, she felt as if she was placed behind a well-constructed fence designed to protect her but also shield her from the rest of the world. The security her parents had built around her began to feel suffocating, even if she understood its reasons. She was their rainbow baby- their only child after so much loss- and the weight of keeping her safe regardless of any situation lingered between them.
Their love for her was never in doubt, but that love had formed an environment where control and sheltering had become second nature. Their high-profile careers worsened things—her mother, a corporate executive of the successful skincare brand Misun Cosmetics, and her father, a private investor, were always away. They were busy managing their professional empires while ensuring she stayed safely inside the fortress they built for her.
She heard the familiar notification ding from her laptop as she finally got up and went to her desk. The Skype link shared by her father is ready to be clicked. She hesitated momentarily, her finger hovering over the mouse before clicking the link.
Chaerin sat at the kitchen table, eating her breakfast for the day. The chef had prepared a Moroccan-themed breakfast with a side of Miyeok-guk, which was something different that at least pleased her just a little bit.
She sat at the table and pondered what she could do for her birthday. The usual choices were shopping, which never failed to make her happy, sightseeing, crawling back into bed and streaming Netflix, or even catching a flight to Tokyo, which was only two hours away. But none of these options felt right, and she was getting frustrated.
It only took minutes before she abruptly leaped from her seat and ran back to her room. Her heart pounded with the rush of excitement as the idea struck her. Today wasn't just any birthday - it was her eighteenth! She could finally act on something she had been toying with for weeks.
To satisfy her need for something different, she's been third-wheeling it with one of her best friends, Nari, and her boyfriend, Junho, who was just weird and greasy, and his friends, who had been racing motorcycles in the shadowy streets of Gangseo District. She would say she was studying with Nari to get any deployed security off her back. Plus, she was getting older, so her parents did ease their eye off her for a bit (and a bit is being generous). It was their favorite pastime, and sometimes, she'd ride on the back of the bikes of some of Junho's friends, but that was it. It was fun for a while, but that's not what captured her interest. It was something - or someone - else entirely.
Outside Nocturne, a club notorious for drawing in some of the city's most dangerous crowds, Chaerin had first seen him. Or rather, she had noticed his friend first. A hulking figure who was broad and intimidating, with a scar etched like lightning down the side of his face. His presence was enough to stop anyone in their tracks, and to be honest, she would both embrace and run from this man if she were alone with him in a dark alleyway.
But it wasn't until he shifted aside that Chaerin saw the person who caught her breath.
The stranger who followed was tall and lean; his body cut with strength but moved with a quiet, deliberate grace. He wasn't cut from the same cloth as the boys she was used to hanging out with; he was something else entirely. He wore dark clothes - a black jacket, dark cargo pants, and heavy boots - that made him blend into the shadows. His sharp gaze gave him an aura of danger, which seemed to draw attention without him needing to say much of anything. Even though he couldn't have been older than Chaerin, he carried an air of experience that he had seen more of the world than she did.
She had watched him hanging around Nocturne for nearly a week, always at a distance. It was an unspoken game of cat and mouse, and she was sure he didn't notice her, but she made sure to see him. Whenever she was in the Gangseo District with Nari, she would always find him as if pulled by an invisible force.
But now, on her eighteenth birthday, she decided it was time to make her move. She wasn't someone to linger in the background anyway; she had to see who this man really was. Tonight, she would step into the shadows, hoping that this time, she would meet him and have the stranger for herself.
Chaerin didn't hesitate. She grabbed her phone from her nightstand and immediately called Nari. The phone barely rang before Nari picked up.
"Rinnie! Happy Birthd-"
"Nari, I've got an idea for tonight," Chaerin said, cutting her off as her voice buzzed excitedly. "After dinner, why don't you and your weird ass boyfriend come with me to Nocturne? We can have a little after-party celebration!"
Nari paused for a moment, which caught Chaerin off guard. "First of all, he's not weird! And also Nocturne? I've never been there before, but I heard like a shootout happened a couple weeks ago..." she admitted, the slightest hint of hesitation creeping into her voice.
Chaerin ignored this and laughed lightly at her friend's uncertainty. "If a shootout does happen, we'll just run for the back door, okay?"
"Chaerin-"
"Nari, come on. It's my 18th birthday, and we need to do something big! It's going to be super wild, and we'll be together, okay? Plus, Junho will be there, so it will be perfect." She said, and after a moment, Nari sighed, "Okay, you've convinced me. I'll talk to him, but count us in."
Chaerin squeals, already anticipating the stranger and the night ahead. With the plan sealed, the night promises something unforgettable—what could go wrong?
Later that night, Nari, Junho, and Chaerin arrive at Nocturne. At the entrance, the burly bodyguard scanned their IDs with a skeptical look, his eyes narrowing as he noticed they were all under 19. The legal age was previously changed about a year ago because a 16-year-old boy was murdered two blocks away from the club. The rule was set, and it looked like the bouncer wasn't going to bend for shit.
Before Chaerin could protest, Junho stepped forward with a sly smile, pulling out his wallet and slipping a few bills into the guard's hand, which she rolled her eyes. "It's her birthday," he said, nodding toward Chaerin, who stood behind him.
The bodyguard paused before pocketing the cash with a barely noticeable nod, and they were waved inside.
Junho flashed a cheesy grin at Chaerin. "I'll have the bill on your door by tomorrow," he said as she flipped him the middle finger while Nari chuckled.
As soon as they stepped inside, the music's thumping bass hit them like a wave. The flashing lights danced across the walls, turning everything into a blur of neon and moving shadows. The air was thick with excitement and the heavy scent of sweat, alcohol, and perfume.
Chaerin, without hesitation, pulled Nari to the center of the dance floor, with Junho following them. The crowd was already swaying in sync with the loud music. While Nari and Junho started dancing together, Chaerin found a dance partner on her own. A tall guy with a confident smile caught her eye and stepped closer, his intentions extremely clear. She always welcomed the attention, and her movement began to match his. The guy leaned in, his voice barely audible over the noise. "You look real sexy out there." he flirted, flashing a playful grin.
Chaerin smirked, her energy rising. "I know!" she shot back, laughing with a teasing edge.
The banter continued as they moved together, the flirtation adding to the thrill of the night. For a while, she completely forgot about the world outside of this. Every laugh, touch, and beat added to the rush she felt.
But after a while, her movement began to slow. Something in the atmosphere had shifted, and it was changing the exhilaration that she had felt moments ago. She began to feel the hairs on the back of her neck stand up.
Someone was watching her.
She could feel it—a presence, eyes locked on her from somewhere in the crowded room. The once liberating feeling suddenly felt heavy, and her body tensed as she scanned the room, searching for the source. Her dance partner quickly noticed the shift in her mood, and his confusion was evident. It wasn't until she looked up and saw him that she realized it was him.
Her eyes locked onto the mysterious stranger, standing by the railing in the VIP section, staring directly at her. His gaze was intense, penetrating, and unrelenting.
She had stopped dancing altogether, stumbling slightly from the shock and surprise. The realization had it her like some crushing wave. Did he notice her watching him this entire time? This whole fucking time?
As Chaerin stood frozen, trying to process the situation, she noticed another woman approach the stranger. The woman touched his chest, leaning in to whisper something in his ear. Chaerin stiffened, an unexpected jealously tightening in her chest for someone she didn't know. But the feeling would quickly shift when the stranger dismissed the woman with a wave, sending her back to the VIP section without a second thought.
His gaze briefly returned to Chaerin before disappearing back into the shadows, leaving her standing there with her heart racing and her mind spinning.
She didn't even know what to make of it. He physically said absolutely nothing but said so much with one look. Was he sending her a message that he knows that she's been practically stalking him? Was he daring her to come meet him? Did he care whether she picked option A or B? It felt like a game of chess, a game that she had never bothered to play, yet she was maneuvering through it without a single clue.
Suddenly, she became aware that her dance partner had left her alone. A quick glance revealed that Nari and Junho had found their way to a dimly lit table, making themselves incredibly cozy in each other's company.
Chaerin's gaze shifted back toward the VIP section, her eyes darting to the elegant curve of the staircase leading up to it. The familiar flame that she felt in her belly the night she saw him for the first time was spreading fast, and it pushed her to quickly make her way to the staircase before she could second-guess herself.
Just as she approached the VIP section, the man she had noticed before - the one with the lightning strike scar across his face - stepped in front of her and blocked her path. She was beginning to become tired of all of these fucking rules and regulations. She felt like this was more like a prison than a club. Why is nobody letting her do what she wants?
Before she could start complaining, a voice cut through the club's noise.
"Let her through."
The bouncer glanced back at the source of the command, gave a nonchalant shrug, and stepped aside. Chaerin's heart raced as she barely shoved the bouncer out of the way and made her way through the velvet rope. Without hesitation, she even edged between the stranger and the girl from earlier casually seated next to him.
She would have no idea this bold, instinctual, and unplanned move would change her life forever.

If I were to make an excuse for why I haven't uploaded anything in a month, this game is to blame.
The new idolm@ster game? Nah, I'm not playing that. I'm already busy with Star Rail and other stuff. The system also looks complicated. I don't want to touch any game like umamusume ever agaiー
Errr, what just happened...? And why is it 2am now...?
That, and this weird guilty feeling where if I haven't completed my homework, I shouldn't be writing here. I've been getting a lot of assignments where I have to write at least a thousand Japanese character report for multiple subjects. I don't have the mood to do some of them right now, so I decided to write something here instead (if I keep on waiting to finish all my work, I'll probably never get to update this blog).
As much as I wanted to complain about how unfair it is that the English class only has to write 500 words for the same subject for the millionth time, I should be talking about other things like how I went to Tokyo with my fellow university friends.
Going to Tokyo wasn't in my weekend plan, but I'm still too nervous to travel by myself so I came along for experience. Some of our classmates are currently studying in Tokyo, so they kindly allowed us to stay at their dorm. We went to this fair that has a theme of our country only to be disappointed at how bland the food taste. It was also getting crowded, thus we moved elsewhere.
We spent half a day walking around Tokyo, looking for specific spots that was used as background in the movie Kimi no Na Wa because my friend is a huge fan. She made me take a lot of pictures for her even though I know nothing about how to take a good photo (whoever travels with her was destined to become her personal photographer at least once or more).
She kept saying she gained weight and that she looks fat but I honestly couldn't tell. To each their own, I guess.
This photo was a quick one I did before having to take a video of my friend walking up and down the stairs. There were less than 10 tourists there including us so we all had the place to ourselves. I might've gotten a cleaner shot without people if I waited a bit longer but I'm happy with this one.
On the last day before going back, we went to Harajuku with other friends of a friend (I couldn't remember who is who anymore). I volunteered to take care of our bags because every coin locker in the train station was full so while my friend went shopping, I was sipping iced cocoa in starbucks. I wasn't in the mood to walk and I've been here before anyway. I even completed half of my assignment while waiting for them too.
Apparently, the hardest part of travelling to Tokyo was actually the way back. The way we had to rush onto one of the last few buses of the day to get back to our dorm. Thank god we made it because I'd rather commit unalive than having to walk while dragging a large suitcase for a whole hour. The poor junior who went with us almost couldn't make it back as he was late by a few minutes. Me and my friend thought he had to sleep at the station for the night.
I immediately became busy for the next 3 weeks. I had to prepare for a presentation about "something interesting I found in town", went on 2 field trips for different classes that I have to write those long reports after, got addicted to a new game(?), and went to do an interview for the part time job.
To my surprise, they accepted me even though I intentionally screwed up half of my quiz answers. I was starting to get lazy because after recording my expenses for 2 months, I found out that I can survive without getting a job. Though, I'm more than glad to have some extra cash to compensate that 50k yen taxi fee and to cover my foolish purchases in the future, which might as well be now since my junior just pointed out that there actually is an animate where we live.
Looking forward to snatch some gakumas goods if they don't sold out. First time I went there only Sena, China, and especially Sumika were left. And I thought she's the popular one...

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE... also thank you, I try very hard for cute njkfgh but also THANKS I MISS PEOPLE ENGAGING WITH ME LOL
Puts this under a cut for you because it is...long, friend!
My phone crashed after I got ALMOST DONE typing this and I'm so sad... onto the PC I guess. At least now I can reference a specific video :D
For reference; I'm in my early 30's so I was like growing up with Sailor Moon hitting TV for the first time with seasons R-SuperS and it was a BIG DEAL at the time. I watched it religiously up until SuperS hit, then school kinda clashed with the time slot, so it was mostly the tail end I caught of it. I rewatched it in my 20's but never... finished it because work... watching a 200 episode, monster of the week anime wasn't really... holding me at the time. Recently my girlfriend and I decided why not check out the new dub because I wanted something on I could draw to!!
I see a lot of people dog on the redubbing of it, and so I started to kinda... look into comparison videos of characters/voices to see just how BAD some might be - I also was worried that...ya'know, maybe my nostalgia glasses for Sailor Moon especially, of all things, could cause me to be overly critical of it? So I kinda...went in preparing myself to give it a solid chance to sit with me lol I think that mindset helped me appreciate the actual WORK that went into it -
Like, being a kid who grew up on the internet from 1995 onward, and you had to DIG for half the shit we had back then... I grew up with intimately knowing the struggles Sailor Moon had getting over here in some ways... I knew I was going to respect it TECHNICALLY even if the dub annoyed me in the end! So that's kinda my personal intimate experience with SM :0??
I'm a huge fan of older 70's, 80's and 90's anime and a lot of that is the WEIRD charm of the voice acting some times in dubs? Also the style GOSH, but the voice acting is either HORRENDOUS or iconic as hell.
But I also grew up with Brooklyn Molly, and Linda Ballentyne's Usagi being a thing and uh... they're something. The latter is a nightmare to me LMAO... so I'll give anything a chance.
I'm gonna reference a video for the three voice actors, I linked hopefully to each's segment :0 BUT UH, this person did these videos up through S, and it was SUPER COOL to reference these and kinda COMPARE CONTRAST some of them with my girlfriend when we watched recently!! A FUN COMPANION TO THE SERIES TBH!! :0!!!
youtube
In R we get the really iconic voice Tracey Hoyt had. Rini~ had this weirdly little deep and monotone voice. It was iconic to her, and I liked that, but I... hated how she did emotions. Hated it. So much. Which I think is where it really starts - it's 100% voice acting issues honestly. Writing too.
There's a few scenes that stick with me in my memory of being like shut the fucK UP?? and one is the flashback to Neo Tokyo when she trips in the rain. She's asking her parents for help and crying about PLEASE HELP ME!! And something about what Tracey does is she does VOLUME = EMOTION in a way. I don't like how flat her lines feel. I don't like how she does emotional readings at all and it's so WEIRD to me looking back on it now? I wasn't like some SNOB as a kid, I just... I dunno :0 I knew I didn't like her.
ALSO ANY TIME THE BLACK MOON CLAN GOT HER CRYING AND HER MOON ALL BAT-SIGNAL MODE UH.... her screaming/crying is NOT GREAT :D Super dislike it, and it made me hate her a lot LMAO???
youtube
In S we get Sugar Lyn Beard [Stephanie Beard].... our SQUEAKY Rini~ Uh. This is the one that most people remember, she did her for the rest of the show. So S and SuperS. Uh. S is my favorite arc. Manga. Anime. CHEF. KISS. I love the scouts, the plot, the fucking ROGUE GALLERY~
I was like... in the trenches with the wild shit this was when it hit america. I was like on Sailor Moon forums and shit ... I WAS SO STOKED ABOUT HOTARU...
Hotaru's plotline and her relationship with Chibi Usa, however fans see it, is so near and dear to my heart. And to a degree I have a nostalgic fondness for Sugar's performance, but I also don't like it at all. In that video at like 10:39 or something we get her just saying Hotaru's name over and over and like HER VOICE IS SO BALLOON LIKE AND WATERY IN WAYS that I just usually felt annoyed? She's two clicks from being that warble cry filter to me...
Which might be why I really liked the redubbing, Sugar is who we have through the REAL BIG CHIBI USA IS THE STAR SEASONS and we have this voice that just feels so.... idk it's weird how much I nose wrinkle at it.
It feels... idk, like I said, I'm by no means a voice actor/performance snob, but in the face of everyone having beefs with a redub I felt did a good job it's VERY curious what people go up to bat for? :0 Different strokes, different folks or whatever! :D
She sometimes feels like she's just...reading a line - but it's also this strange little lilt and hnh~ that happens at the end of a lot of lines? It's interesting to dissect I guess!! I never put TOO much thought into why I disliked her, I just... did for majority of my life and now I surprisingly found myself being like hey that's my GIRL???
To be honest though the whole uh... reign of Linda Ballentyne as Usagi was difficult for me LMAO Like I straight up WOOF... but that's me, she might be someone's favorite Usagi lol But it made those seasons hard at times.
youtube
In the new dub we get.... Sandy Fox. I think she hits this EXCELLENT mid point between the two. It's high and kiddish, and she has an interesting tone and lilt? I love how she does emotions with Chibi Usa and it just MAN. IT BE HITTING RIGHT. She was the biggest improvement to me in the casting and performance, and IT MADE THE REWATCH SO SMOOTH TO ME HONESTLY, BECAUSE SHE BECOMES SUCH A MAIN CHARACTER TOO.
I also think the writing being redone helps more in the grand scheme of things too!!
Like, for all the shit the redub gets, I was REALLY happy to have names fixed, lines fixed, dialogue reworked, VOCABULARY added, THE MUSIC FIXED - ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES.
I found some of the dumb shit like Chibi Usa's O CHRONOS~ lines to be silly, but a FONDNESS for the fact they decided NO. We're gonna DO THE THING. Like, hell yeah, man!! I can fuck with a team getting the rights and PROBABLY GETTING INTO ANIME AND WHAT THEY DO, BECAUSE THEY GREW UP ON THIS ONE - like can you IMAGINE that being your passion project in life is to get into the industry to advocate for REDOING THE ONE ANIME from your 80's/90's childhood that was treated like Sailor Moon was?
ADVOCATING FOR STARS TO FINALLY BE SEEN BY AMERICAN AUDIENCES NOT ON CRUNCHY PIXELATED REALMEDIA VIDEOS YOU DOWNLOAD THROUGH SKETCHY FORUMS AND STUFF...
Like that's so NEAT TO ME LMAO... I'm not a fan of the season but there was something deeply settling in my heart to like... know where I was as a kid on the forums watching videos of it with no subtitles, or fan subtitles and seeing it on a STREAMING SERVICE, cleaned up, crisp, with SPOKEN ENGLISH.... like idk it's silly but that was so... idk. My heart felt a lot of happiness for that? It was a treat, just for me LOL
But!!! It also is to the benefit of the redub that they got to do it all at once! One voice actor per character as much as they could help it, and just have that CONSISTENCY. Having an actor KNOW their character and roll forward with it, versus getting the show season to season, and having contract issues and having to get someone new in the seat, who maybe doesn't get the role right in the long run.
It's also kinda sweet to think the people doing it, and a lot of the new faces in voice acting these days, got into it BECAUSE of growing up on things like Sailor Moon!! There's weird levels to the redub that kinda hit me in my heart like that. I still like and enjoy how clunky the OG dub is, and I like the japanese sub of course, but there's something very SWEET about the care that has actually been put into the new dub, y'know?
Preservation of media and stuff too!! I'm big on that topic, and the redub was a team seeing opportunity to FIX a weird editing job where so much was SCRUBBED...
It's wild the hate I see when I think there needs to be some celebration for what it achieved, honestly. At 12, I never thought I'd SEE all of SM dubbed, or ACCURATELY. I grew up on Mixx comics SM manga where she was BUNNY, and watching the Dic dub, like I never thought I'd see the UPHEAVAL to revise and FIX the americanization.... SHIT IS SO FUCKING COOL TO ME.... HOW CAN I NOT THINK IT'S WORTH PEOPLE'S TIME and effort??
Again, to each their own opinion but I think there's a certain...view people need to have about what some shows like SM go through and how cool it is, it got to be fixed and to BE a passion project in doing so, you know? I was originally in the camp of OH WOW... WHAT A LAZY CASH GRAB, VIZ... but... nah dog, nah. Not anymore.
That healed some weird part of my childhood I didn't know needed it? LMAO...
BUT UH, let me get off that tangent of being soft about that shit. I'm sure there's some bullshit people could tell me about how difficult it was or how insensitive shit was - which honestly idk I think the redub handled a LOT of things very interesting and well... but this post isn't about WAXING POETIC about the redub.
The point is; that video was a REALLY COOL resource to me. My mind remembers things different a lot, so hearing the comparisons was REALLY fucking cool and it really highlighted what a GREAT JOB Sandy did as Chibi Usa honestly!! I loved her a lot, and that... helped a lot.
I guess as a kid, my annoyance with the script of R-SuperS and my lackluster care of Chibi Usa as a character made me just find her tedious and annoying. Why are we focusing on her~ this show is called Sailor Mooooon lol
But in R, sure she's a little brat and man IS SHE A BRAT... and I found myself disliking her still, but I wasn't annoyed because how she sounded. She was annoying because she's a spoiled little kid, who... I as an adult can see kinda what she's been through better with her parents, y'know? I can sympathize better now than I did at like...10/11 LOL
With S... I really grew to LOVE her because they started to really focus on her being a brat, but she's a little older now. She's little sister energy now. Y'know, we all forget she's like 900. She spends 900 years pretty much being....4? 5? Wild. No WONDER she's a fucking brat??
But with S we see her MAKE FRIENDS...!!!!! FRIENDS HER AGE!!! We see her meet Hotaru, and we see how much like her MOM she is. Her dad too! She's got a big heart, and a firey side, just like her parents and it's nice to see that come out in her determination towards Hotaru and being her friend and ENRICHING HER LIFE. Fighting for that friendship!! And I ADORE THAT. And a lot of that, again, didn't always come through because how the scripts and voice acting were handled.
I mean even in that video we HEAR some of the script changes, there was so much CONTEXT added to various scenes it's interesting! To me at least :0
S really benefited from the redub, I'm sorry fans of the OG but fuck. That shit was painful no matter WHAT and I think honestly... I grew to love the S redub the MOST ESPECIALLY HOW THE WITCHES WERE HANDLED, FUUUUUUUUUCK!~!!! AUGH. MAN!!!! Love.
I just... I dunno. We got a really good performance on her, and like it really helped the character arc SHINE in what a kind hearted girl she's gonna be growing into? It's not flippant and weird like it is in the OG, it's sincere and there's a sort of childlike not...wONDER BUT?? The vibe is BETTER??
But... SuperS is really where it started to solidfy. I mean, I joke a lot about her being GASP.... THE ORIGINAL HORSE GIRL and I am not immune to my childhood self being so heart eyes at the MERE AESTHETIC OF HER AND HELIOS, GOSH... but like, yo. That character growth in SuperS is FIRE.
She... has this day dreamy/lovely sort of vibe to her, she's experiencing first love and we're dropping the obsession with Mamo because of it, we're experiencing her having real deep questions about the world around her and people's hearts - and these are conversations she's having with someone who isn't a senshi. She's having these conversations and thoughts with her new ethereal friend. I can't imagine some of these topics with Usagi.
I love her, but she's so... unserious to a point? She has her moments, but with Chibi Usa it can be this coin flip of mocking her, or being serious, y'know? And like... she really starts to be mature beyond her years at times, she'll say things that are so wise seeming and it's our reaction and the senshi too... to be like whoa what did you say? She becomes very selfless, and yet a streak of selfishness still lives in there that all children have... and overall we really see her become a kind hearted lady. She becomes her title; Small Lady. And I love that.
I love that so much. Just how tender she is as a character in SuperS. It's so GOOD.
She comes a long way from the selfish demanding brat in R, but she's still Chibi Usa. She's still got those moments of being a defiant BRAT but.. she's sweeter. Grounded?? She's becoming a person her mom and dad can be proud of, she's becoming someone that would make her hero and ours; Sailor Moon, proud of her.
And I kinda love that by the end. She's gonna fulfill that role some day, y'know? Why SHOULDN'T we like her. Why shouldn't we acknowledge all the text and subtext about her character in those kind of ways. AND THAT MIGHT BE MY OVER ANALYTICAL ASS BUT LIKE...
A good performance carries a character's writing!
I mean, I even as an adult saw things to relate to with my own childhood I hadn't thought before which... I dunno. Steps to liking characters is relating to them, or having something resonate right? Something about sometimes saying things that shouldn't be coming out of a child's mouth, that's advice to people easily almost ten years her senior... yeah.
SORRY FOR THE LENGTHY POST... but yeah just uh... Sandy Fox did a LOT of good for the overall performance and read of Chibi Usa, and that video REALLY highlights that for me, and the script work and love from the team to do right by how Sailor Moon was edited for American soil paid off, and just... being able to appreciate things in a different way than when I was a kid did a lot for just...seeing what a good character arc that little brat gets!!
She's a wonderful little spunky dork, and I love her now where as before I just felt eye rolls incoming when I saw her!
-pet owner voice- my widdle pwincess....
Finished Sailor Moon with the girlfriend recently and have to admit the new dub honestly made me like Chibi-usa a thousand times more ;w;

Problem Child: Mikey x Reader Fluff
Part Two
Part Two
Note: Ever since I wrote this I can't stop thinking about Mikey having a child and just taking the little thing to the office with him so I decided to write something on that.
Warnings: toddlers being reckless and doing crazy things, mentions of parenting, usage of the word mommy (NOT sexually), mentions of a single parent, mentions of death, ex-wife
The banner isn't the best but it was made by me, so please don't use it without cred.
Female reader, she/her/hers, usage of Y/n
Your first week as the most notorious biker gang in Tokyo's PA certainly was an adventure.
As Mikey's new private assistant there were a lot of things you had to get used to.
Whether this be waking your boss up in the middle of the day, constantly fetching him snacks, preparing reports of the gangs and mobsters Toman had beat up that day, making sure his little son didn't wreak too much havoc, instructing the cleaning crew around to ensure there were no bloodstains in the main office.
And, your personal favourite; picking out new outfits for Mikey when he ruined his clothes with bloodstains.
It sure was a lot to take in, but over the span of days, you had gotten accustomed to Toman and their work habits.
One thing, however, that you couldn't seem to handle was the two-foot something blond constantly wreaking havoc around the office.
You weren't sure, but you could almost swear the cleaning crew had referred to the little blond boy as a gremlin time and time again. But with the way he spilt mop buckets, ruined paperwork and went out of his way to double their work, you couldn't really blame them.
The worst part was the child's innocence when confronted by his father. Something that Mikey was never fooled by yet chose to ignore.
Over the span of a week, you had come to an agreement of sorts with your boss's son. He would be a nice little boy and finish his homework from the daycare centre and in return would be granted a cookie from the best bakery in Tokyo: a place that Mikey didn't have the time to visit.
Bribing a child wasn't exactly the most moral solution out there, but considering your workplace, it was only fair to resort to...infamous solutions.
So far, things had gone great and the two of you had even formed a friendship of sorts.
In fact, you had gotten used to having the little boy prance around your office and talk about random things while you worked on your tasks for the day.
So much so that sometimes when you were visiting other parts of the office, you would lift the toddler into your arms as he idly played with your hair, even occasionally falling asleep to the sound of your heels rhythmically hitting the tiles.
At first, everyone had seemed surprised to watch Mikey's son be so...nice around an employee, but over time people around the office had gotten used to spotting the two of you together.
So it was no surprise that word ended up reaching your boss, who himself had tasked you with the job to take care of his child when he was indispensable.
Everything had been going great so far save for the occasional hitch, up until the only day you were late to the office.
It wasn't your fault, really it wasn't.
Tokyo's morning traffic was something even Mikey couldn't control but that wasn't exactly something you could explain to a four-year-old.
A four-year-old who was currently perched on the first-floor railing of Toman's headquarters.
"Kiddo, I need you to get down now, okay?"
There were a lot of things a four-year-old didn't understand, you were aware of that, but what you didn't know was that the fundamentals of height were one of them.
After all, how else could one think dangling from an iron bar 15 feet above the ground was a good idea?
"But I'm playing pirates!"
Of course, Mikey's child of all people had a weird obsession with pirates, and of course, he had to roleplay the one day your arrival was delayed.
"Well, you can come down...and we can play together, okay?"
By then a small crowd had gathered around you, none of them daring to approach the boy in fear of him claiming they were policemen and leaping off his 'sails'. They had, however, called Mikey and the other execs and were simply awaiting his arrival so he could handle the situation.
Something that you dreaded.
Mikey had tasked you with taking care of his child, something no one except the founding members of the Toman had ever been deemed worthy of.
Having his son dangle off of the first floor's railing due to traffic issues wasn't exactly something he would appreciate.
Best case scenario; you would lose your job.
Thankfully, Mikey's little carbon copy seemed to like the idea of playing with the new PA.
"Okay! The captain is jumping the sails!"
Several horrified gasps were heard as the crowd around you thickened, easily camouflaging Mikey and Sanzu who had just walked into the building.
"No, no terrible idea! Very, very bad idea captain!"
"Why?"
The innocent question seemed not so innocent coming out of a toddler looking at you with what could only be described as a tactfully sweet smile.
"Because my hand-eye coordination is terrible and you might fall!"
This time the crowd elicited more chuckles than gasps, the sound mostly coming from Sanzu and the Haitani brothers who had come to check on the commotion.
"Nonsense! My first mate can handle it!"
You didn't know whether to be honoured or terrified that the little boy considered you his first mate. Unfortunately, you didn't have time to consider either of them as the toddler did something that elicited various screeches and 'no's.
He jumped.
The two-foot something four-year-old you had somehow come to care for over the span of a week had jumped off of the first-floor bannister.
And thankfully, in some miracle that you would never forget, you had caught him.
In the midst of the panic you could swear you heard someone call out your boss's name in fear, but you were too focused on the child cradled in your arms to care.
"See, you caught me!"
The blond boy looked almost smug as he proudly exclaimed the words, going as far as to tap your cheek with one of his little palms.
Unfortunately, you didn't quite reciprocate his feelings.
"Don't ever do that again."
The crowd visibly quietened at your scared yet strict tone, their eyes flicking between Mikey, his son, and the woman who had just saved his life.
Even so, the employees surrounding you couldn't help but think you were out of line to think scolding Mikey's son was an option.
The little blond boy, however, seemed to think otherwise.
In fact, his smile impossibly widened as he nodded along to your words and retracted his hand to cover a yawn.
"Okay, mommy."
You were pretty damn sure everyone in the room had simultaneously gasped at the word, all except Mikey, who was staring at his PA incredulously.
Mikey's son, the blond toddler who had created a reputation for himself as Toman's problem child, had just opened up to and accepted someone into his life, even going as far as to give that someone a title that belonged to his dead wife.
The scene was appalling, to say the least, but somehow you managed to compose yourself as you cocked your head to the side and stared at the child asleep on your shoulder.
"Only Mikey's son could nearly give a room full of people a heart attack just to fall asleep a second later."
You hadn't realised you had said it out loud until it was too late, but the comment was surprisingly well-received as the Toman execs and higher-ups scattered around the room let out small chuckles at your words.
The sound made you turn away from the child in your arms to finally focus on the people around you. It took you a moment, but after some searching, you finally settled your gaze on the blond man walking towards you with a frown on his face.
The people gathered around you slowly began to thin as Mikey drew closer, his gaze never straying from the child in your arms.
All the adrenaline from his child's antics seemed to evaporate the longer you stood there, in fact, when he finally reached the two of you, you couldn't help but feel the need to run away as fast as you possibly could.
Even if it had just been a week, you were positive you had never seen Mikey as livid as he currently was.
Considering his son had just jumped off of the first floor's bannister, you couldn't really blame him. You could, however, pity yourself and curse Tokyo's morning traffic as Mikey finally came to a stop before you.
"Thank you."
It took you a moment to process his words, but when you finally did, you couldn't help but gawk at your boss as your mind reeled with a million different thoughts.
Mikey didn't bother saying anything else, instead reaching forward to carefully take his son from your arms. The action made you smile softly as you stared at the two blonds, noticing the physical and personality similarities between them.
It was only when he began to walk away that you realized something you should have known sooner.
Manjiro San was no longer just your boss.
He was the man you had somehow fallen for.
A man who had all but sworn off of romance after his late wife's death.
As you watched your boss walk away with his little problem child, you couldn't help but wonder whether he was taking a piece of your heart with him.

Masterlist October / Tokyo Revengers
Senju x gn! reader
Notes: angsty but mostly fluff
Words: 1575
( I had a hard time coming up with ideas for this story so it may be a bit off); the reader is a mess; clingy Senju; y/n had a bad childhood and terrible parents; friends to lovers;
---
Page 107, only two or three more to go. I need to finish it in about an hour. Then read a chapter of the other book and be prepared for school tomorrow.
That was daily work for me. Overworking, as some may call it, was the daily business for me. My parents want a good life for me and I do not want to disappoint them.
I was too young when their divorce happened, and now they push me to get good grades. Probably because they want to get rid of me as soon as possible, after all, my father did once tell me that I was the cause of the divorce. I never planned. My mum wanted to keep me, and my dad didn't. They were quite young when they had me. He said that he ruined their grand plan, becoming rich and later in life having a son.
So maybe he is right. Me being a big problem, now working to be less of a burden.
-
Friends are overrated. Boyfriends are also overrated.
Who could have known that friends steal your partner whom you only have been with for two months? A boyfriend you met via that "friend" that then he cheated on you with.
They expected some great reaction from me, all standing in front of me in the middle of the school hallway. Their shit-eating grins and teasing voices. And all they got from me was okay. Oh, their disappointed faces made my day. I didn't need them. Why would I need them, if I can continue to work towards my dreams? I will get friends eventually. For now, I only need to keep my head up high and do my work.
My mum did not know about my boyfriend anyway. And dad would have my head if he found out. I never told them because of that. I never told them about anything, when I knew that that thing would upset them. Not full points in a test? I never told them. Having a boyfriend and "friends" that bully me and push me into a mental hole that was too deep to crawl out by myself? I never told them.
-
Senju Kawaragi was a weird being. She came in into my class one day telling me she was looking for me. She wasn't even in my class. Senju was a mystery for me since day one. A random girl came up to me one day and asked to be friends. I thought she was joking. If I didn't know better, she came off like she was one of those bullies in school. I laughed right into her face. A surprised look formed on hers, while she frowned.
"I am serious!" She said out loud which made me stop laughing. And I could tell from her facial expressions that she was for real. "Okay, but why?"
"Why? Because you look like an awesome person. And I want to be friends with you!"
I knew that she would leave me alone until I agreed to be friends with her. So I nodded and said okay. Like I always did. Always saying okay to anything and everyone.
With a smile on her face, Senju left, waving me goodbye and telling me to meet her after school.
-
Because of my past experiences with "friends", I didn't think that my friendship with Senju would last. But to my surprise, the girl was very much clinging to me. I don't know what she saw in me that made her want to be friends with me, but I at least now had an actual friend that would not leave me.
And with her as a friend, I also had a bodyguard of a sort. As the nerd, I was an easy target when it came to bullies targeting. But with her around, I felt like the teasing got less. And one day it fully stopped. I was now able to just live my life in school and study hard. Harder. Harder than usual. And Senju noticed.
She was not only the person that stopped other people from pulling me down but also the person who saved me from myself. And soon I felt like I was a burden to her.
I wanted to tell her about how I felt, but she declined that I would be ever a burden. And because I never spoke out against a superior person, I kept quiet. Not only about that, but also about what my parents did at home.
But she wasn't stupid. Senju noticed quickly how my behavior changed over the days she was around me. The dark circles under my eye, me falling asleep not only in class but also after when we met. Something was wrong, and she would figure out what it was.
Days have passed since it began. My father was home more often. My mum and mine. He found the old tests I tried to hide. The beating was terrible. I tried my best to hide the scars and discoloration with the makeup my mum gave me. I also tried my best to stay away from Senju. I wasn't able to tell her what was going on, I was not able to look her in the eyes and break down crying.
But as stated before, Senju is smarter. You can't get away from a person like her. Once a person like her falls for someone like me, there is no turning back. And thankfully that was the case.
"Y/N! Y/, wait!" she screamed after me. It was after class and I had just left my classroom. By now the people around us were used to Senju yelling after me as soon as class was over, so they didn't flinch, unlike me. I couldn't turn around, I was too scared that she would see me like this. So I started to walk faster.
But not fast enough.
"Hey just wait for one second!" Her hand gripped my arm and made me stop. It hurt quite a bit. I felt like if I didn't move my arm, she would unintentionally give it a bruise. She let go as soon as I spun around, facing her.
Her face was pure shock. I could have only guessed that the make-up must have been gone by now or was not good enough to cover up my buries. I looked away shyly, feeling tears form in my eyes.
Exactly that was what I feared. She would leave me now. Leave me alone with my parents. Alone, with no more friends because I betrayed her- "Who did this?"
Senju's voice was calm. But not calm enough to not make me flinch. It was a similar tone my father would have right before he hit me. Because of that, I couldn't hold it back anymore. Right then and there I broke down to my knees and let out painful sobs.
My throat was burning as I let out the tears that I have been holding back for way too long. My face was covered in them as I tried to remove them with my hands, only to be able to hide my face in them. I wished that moment that I could disappear.
I never wanted to let Senju see me like this. She was always so strong around everyone. And now she will have realized how weak I was. But I was wrong. Suddenly I felt arms around me, and my face being pushed against her chest. Senju was shushing me like the baby I was all while petting my head. "It's okay," she whispered in my ear. This all let me cry even more. All the pain I was in, getting out in one go. All while being in her arms.
"Why? Why would you stay with me? Why with some like me, who are all weak and can't do shit on their own?" I tried to say as loud as I could, between sobs and cries.
"I-" The patting stopped. She was thinking, I could tell. So was there no reason why? "Senju?"
I moved away from her grip to look her in the eyes and to my surprise, her face was beet red. Oh-
" I- you see when I saw you I- It's hard to explain," she laughed at herself in embarrassment.
"I kinda had a crush on you since the day we met so I wanted to be around you at all times in the hopes you would love me back-" What she was saying was too quick for me. What-? Now it was my time to turn red. If it was even possible to turn red in my situation.
"What?" "I love you, y/n. That's what I am saying. But I guess I can't force you and since you are clearly in a bad situation right now I should just-" I was way too aggressive in what I was doing next. I quickly shut her up with a kiss. It was rushed and not very good, but it did the job. Who could have thought that all this time we felt the same for each other? As soon as she got in control of herself again, Senju took over the kiss and it was way better than my attempt.
And fuck it was great. In the end, we were both panting for air. "Promise you won't leave me, Senju?" "Never, my love."

Pairings - Yuuji Itadori x Reader x Ryomen Sukuna
Synopsis - Ever since Yuuji moved away to Tokyo, you've been noticing some odd changes from him, it's almost as if...he was becoming another person all together.
Theme - Monster by Imagine Dragons
A/N - An idea hit me in the head while I was working and I wanted to try this out so badly with both Yuuji and Sukuna! A concept of 'What if the vessel wasn't just the vessel?'. The vessel would eventually merged with the being to become something new altogether, and I thought...yes. why the heck not. This is gonna be a long one, So let's hop right it! Because I really like this idea, theres a good chance this is going to be either split up into parts or I'm gonna keep visiting this every now and then.
Warning - The characters in this story will be aged up due to NSFW content here. Dirty NSFW scenes sprinkled in, Gore Warning, Abuse, Etc.
-------------------
He didnt want this...
All he wanted was to keep those he cared about safe. Lying to you at the time seemed like a good idea, especially since you weren't tied into the mystical world he was now tied to, and he didn't want you too. But now, perhaps he should've told you everything.
About the finger, about the school, and...
About Sukuna.
You couldn't exactly remember why you originally said yes to the pink haired boy when he asked you to join his occult club activities that night. Maybe it was because of the fact you have nothing really better to do, or maybe because traveling through a forest of possible gruesome death seemed the most attractive thing to you at the time, yet you an Yuuji grew close together that night. Truth be told, walking through those woods during the dead of night was actually creepier than you thought but he was there by your side to comfort you the entire time, holding your hand while cracking a few jokes every now and then to calm your nerves.
"You're not scared? You seem so..well calm?" You asked, looking up at Yuuji with furrowed brows as he just smiled down at you. "Nah, not really. It's just darker and a few trees are around. Not really anything scary, right?" He said, rubbing the back of his neck while chuckling.
Maybe it was because of the warmth of his hands wrapped around your own or how comforting the presence he gave off was to you but it was probably then that your feelings for Yuuji began to grow.
"What you're going to Tokyo?" You questioned, watching Yuuji prepared a few boxes to pack his things. "Yeah, transferring schools. I'm, um .. I'm recieving a sports scholarship at a school there." Placing a few more of things away was when he finally turned to see you, clearly upset over just now being told this. Sure, you should've been happy to see your best friend be able to leave to accomplish more out of his life but it was the thought of him leaving you here that hurt the most. When he saw your face and the conflicted look on it, Yuuji stepped over towards you before wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you in your embrace.
"I'm sorry, Y/N. I just—" before he could finish his sentence, you stood up on your toes and wrapped your arms around his neck and simply smiled to him. "You don't have to say a thing, Yuuji, I'm happy for you. Just promise me that you'll stay safe out there for me, 'kay?"
Your words alone reminded him why he had to leave, why he had to go and leave you here. It was to keep you safe, safe from curses and safe from the curse lying dormant inside of him now. "R-right...Thank you, Y/N"
The school days were quiet once when Yuuji transferred schools. Sadly enough, the occult club had to disband after he left due to them not having enough members with Iguchi still hospitalized. Now it just seemed..boring without him there but he still seemed to have brighten your day with the photos he would send you every day of the bright city lights and bustling streets. His little messages and calls always well timed to reassure you that just because you aren't blocks away from each other anymore doesn't mean you won't still be friends.
So far, you've became pretty happy with Yuuji and how he's able to come so far in Tokyo. He speaks greatly about his sensei and his new classmates known as Fushiguro and Kugasaki, who from the sound of it, are a bit of a handle but great friends who still treat him well. Every week when he had his day off, he would spend time on video call to talk to you and even show you cool things that he either found around the city or around the school's campus.
Tonight however..he was late. Sure, it didn't bother you really if he was punctual or on time since this was Yuuji we were talking about here but there was a tad bit of worry lingering in your head. Soon enough, as soon as that ugly feeling of worry and doubt began to surface, Yuuji's icon appeared on the screen on the laptop as it began to ring to which you quickly opened.
"Yuuji, hey— oh my god, your face." You said right away, gasping a little at the cuts and bruises littered not only on his face but from the looks of it, his arms and shoulders too. Has he been fighting? "What? Oh, oh! These! Yeah, Fushiguro and Gojou-Sensei kinda roughen me up a little today during training but it's no sweat, really! Barely feel a thing," Yuuji tried to give you a reassuring smile while patting his right shoulder only to wince a little in pain from the impact of the pat.
"First the weird scars on your face, now bruises? Dude, I get that this is a sports thing but don't you think it's a little extreme?"
Hearing the worry in your voice, Yuuji rubbed the back of his neck with his left hand nervously as he tried to think of a way to reassure you until a deep voice came from that same hand, chuckling softly.
"What's this? A woman talking to the brat...? How amusing." Sukuna.
Hearing the voice, Yuuji instantly flinched and lowered his arms out of the camera's view. Panic shot through his body as you stared at the screen with a raised brow. "Oh, is someone there with you now? Didn't know you had a roommate."
Oh good, you didn't see him. It wasn't as if he was afraid of you meeting Sukuna, he was afraid of telling you the truth about everything. About how he was now a vessel for ancient being, how he was studying cursed energy and jujutsu, how he died yet came back to life..dumping so much on you with the chance that you might never speak to him again out of fear, out of disgust. That you stop being his friend, and that he would never..he would never—
"Yuuji?" Tapping the screen a little on your laptop as it shook the camera, he soon stared back at you and laughed nervously. "O-oh right, he's only here for a little bit of time, so I figured what's really the point in telling you"
"Really now? Could've swore I was here to stay with you forever. You could at least introduce me to your friend here." Sukuna felt a great amusement watching Yuuji squirm just to keep you in the dark. Yuuji quickly began stammering on his words, throwing you off as he made a quick excuse to leave the call early. Before you could even say a single word, he clicked ended the facetime before sighing to himself and leaning back against his chair.
"...What is the point in keeping me hidden? We are practically one now, me as you and you as me, Brat." Sukuna said, his mouth now appearing on the left side of his cheek with the eyelid opening to stare up at the boy. "Are you scared of me paying your little toy a visit? Young and no doubt a virgin, I could have some fun with her—" Yuuji quickly slapped a hand against the mouth in attempt to hush the curse only for Sukuna to migrate to the hand.
"I won't let that happen, Sukuna." Yuuji said, frowning as he heard the curse chuckle. He didn't like the sound of how he described his bond to the soul sleeping inside of him, how they were one in the same. Shaking his head, the boy tried to reassure himself that he was nothing like Sukuna and simply went to turn off the lights and sleep on it. The last thing he heard before slumber took him were the ominous words of Sukuna,
"You'll see I was right soon enough, brat..."
A week later, Yuuji came back home to visit you. It was one of the days where the school allowed their students a break from their studies and classes and so he wanted to spend it with you as a surprise. And indeed you were surprised. When you had rushed downstairs, you did so wearing only a red sleeved t-shirt that the pink haired male might have left behind with a pair of gray shorts, and so when you opened the door to see the cheery face of your best friend well...it may have left you a bit flustered.
"Hey, Y/—" you quickly shut the door in his face, collapsing on your knees as you felt your cheeks beginning to burn. 'Why of all days, Itadori?!' You thought to yourself as she slowly stood back up and cracked the door open to see Yuuji's baffled face. He looked like a puppy..a sad puppy who was just kicked off his owner's bed and it broke you. Before long, he was now in your house and sitting in the living room couch while you were in the kitchen preparing tea. Your father was currently away on business while god knows what your mother was..it was just the two of you.
And it was awkward.
As you prepared tea on the kettle, Yuuji couldn't help but look at the shirt you were wearing as a small pink blush was lightly spreading on his cheeks. In a way, it filled him with a strange feeling seeing you walking around in something of his, seeing you wearing his shirt made him..prideful. didn't help with how short your shorts were either, it was practically hugging onto your as—
"So, it's just you? Dude, you should've told me you were coming! I would've been more prepared..I barely have any snacks or anything here right now." You grumbled, snapping his attention away to listen to what you were saying. "Hey, no worries, Y/N. Honestly, I'm just hungry for something else..." that last part through him off as he covered his mouth. That wasn't his voice. No, it was but that wasn't him speaking.
As he turned his head to the side to the balcony door, there the boy saw it in his reflection. The eye of Sukuna staring right back at him, causing him to quickly cover the eye.
"Huh? Alright, well what are you hungry for? Theres probably some ramen around here someone or we could just go out to a place to eat if you want.." you questioned, back turned away from him as you began to take the now whistling kettle off the stove. No, he couldn't deal with this now, not while you were only feet away from him. Yet the more he watched you in the reflection, the more he saw your curves in those pretty little shorts or your braless breasts bounce with ease under his stolen shirt...
Shaking his head, Yuuji soon stood up from the couch and placed on his jacket. "I'm sorry, N/N, But I have to go—"
"Wait what but–"
"Sorry, u-um, Gojou-Sensei said something came up and I have to go back! I'm sorry but I'll make it up to you— I promise!" Before you could even protest, he was already out of the door and gone. As he left, you could've swore you saw an eye on his cheek where one of his scars were but that was impossible, right?
-----------------------
He honestly had no idea where he was going to run off to but the boy knew that if Sukuna had a chance to take over and you were in front of him, would've hurt you or worse. Seeing your disappointed face yet again almost shattered his heart completely and when Yuuji finally came to a halt, he found himself beside a small stream and sighed. This was all for the best. It was to keep you safe, or so he kept telling himself.
"Damn, to think you would actually run away when she was begging for you to take her there. What a wimp.." Sukuka said, mouth manifesting on Yuuji's neck as his eye looks up at frowning boy. "Its not often you get an open invitation from a woman. If I was in control, I would've taken her then and there and ram my co‐" Yuuji quickly slapped a hand over the mouth as a faint blush appeared on his cheeks, him now thinking back to you and how pretty you looked wearing his shirt. "S-shut up. Don't go saying such gross crap."
"You know you feel the same. I can see that she affects you even now judging by the sight of your pants. You wanted to stuff her with your seed just as much as I did." Sukuna said, the mouth now on his hand. Much to Yuuji's surprise, his dark brown eyes quickly shot down to his pants and just as Sukuna said, there was a raging boner standing up at attention. Swallowing his guilt, he tried to cover it only for his pinky finger to slowly graze the fabric and giving his cock a small jolt. The boy hissed a little and quickly placed his hands to his side.
"I-i..I just.." "No need to be embarrassed. That girl isn't anything typically special but just seeing her, seeing her ass in such revealing clothing. Women of this era must be extremely dirty~" Sukuna chuckled "and hearing your thoughts, you certainly surprised me, Brat..." the more Sukuna spoke, the more Yuuji thought back to you. Seeing your breasts and ass was truthfully hot, even if you weren't exactly his type, he still found you beautiful. Slowly without him even noticing, his hand slowly motioned for his cock once more and in the silence of the forest, Yuuji Itadori thought only of you during his time in pleasure.
-----------------------
It wasn't until later on into the night that Yuuji had finally texted you back, saying he would back tomorrow to make things up with you. Sure, it did cheer you up that he would be back but the way he was acting lately made you feel like something was wrong. If you ever asked, he would change the subject or just smile at you awkwardly as if admitting to hiding something but you won't force him tell you what was wrong. When He was ready, he would tell you for sure and you'll wait for however long he wanted.
"N/N, Everything alright?" Yuuji asked, gaining your attention as you snapped back to the present and out of your thoughts. Looking around, you found yourself staring ahead at a bag of popcorn and the large bright ights of a ferris wheel constantly in motion. That's right, the local fairgrounds, Yuuji had wanted to go one more time before he returned back to Tokyo and since you always liked the food here, you of course said yes. "O-oh, yeah! I'm fine. Just looking ahead at the wheel. Remember last time we were here some kid ended up puking on Sasaki from a cart above us?"
"Haha! Yeah, she smelled of salty tuna for weeks afterwards and it left a stain on her uniform" He laughed, staring at the wheel as he thought about the memory. As you stared at him and watch his smile, it had then reassured you that this was still your best friend and you smiled back. For a moment, the two of you were having a blast at the small fair, playing some of the games set up by the booths (and being turned away after Yuuji broke a few with his strength..) it felt like old times all over again. "Wanna play another game or play at bumper carts? We still have some time to kill before you gotta go back?" You asked, carrying some of the plushie prizes the two of you (mainly Yuuji) earned, you looked over to your side and saw a cotton candy display before your attention turns back to Yuuji, The two of you decided just for a moment to sit down at a small metal bench to rest your feet for a moment
Seeing the display, an idea popped up in his head and the words of Gojou appeared in his mind. 'You want advice on how to swoon a girl? Well take small hints when she gives them to you, if her eyes are lingering on something then that's probably a sign she wants it—'. Seeing as how you kept looking up at the cotton candy, he thought this might have been his chance and sat down his own plushies. Without saying a word, Yuuji got up and walked over to the stand, leaving you there by the table alone with your horde of plush creatures.
Seeing you seating there at the bench by yourself, a group of punks who looked to be close to your age strolled up to you, two of them taking a seat on each side of you while the third one was standing right behind you. "Fine evening, isn't it, love. What's a sweet little thing like you doing here by yourself, you looking for some fun?" The purple haired male said on your left side, lowering his shades as he stared noticeably at your chest. "Actually, I'm here with a friend and this seat is for him so if you could jus—" "oh a 'friend'? But I don't see this friend now, so maybe you could tag along with us back to our place and we'll show you a fun time." The punk behind you said, his hands now pressed firmly on both of your shoulders as he leaned in a bit closer to you, causing you to flinch at his touch. "I, um.."
"N/N?"
Turning your head back to in front of you, you saw Yuuji there holding a blue and pink cotton candy stick and face emotionles. "N/N, huh? That's a cute name. This your friend, N/N?" The purple haired punk said, chuckling while rising from his seat "....." Yuuji remained silent for a bit as he stared off at the hands touching you, gripping onto your shoulder and clearly making you uncomfortable. He was typically known for being a calm guy but see this angered him beyond words.
'You see what they're doing to your woman, brat? You're just going to let it happen..?' Yuuji heard the inner words of Sukuna in his head, his eyes dart away from you to the guy standing in front of him, smirking as he touch the cotton candy from the pink haired boy's hand and taking a large bite of the webby treat. "This doesnt have to get rough, all you need to do is walk away and we'll show N/N-chan here a good time she'll never forget." He said, licking his tongue over his lips.
As Yuuji's lips parted, he heard a groan coming from you as you squirmed in the other guys hold with the second punk was now leaning into your neck. Seeing your frown of discomfort, they way they were touching what was rightful his , All he needed to hear were those small words from Sukuna.
'They're touching your woman, they're hurting her. Finish.. them.. off.'
Yuuji stood there for a moment, remaining silent as he lowered his hand, a shadow now cast over his face. Opening one of your eyes as you squirm in the punk's hold, you saw something that made your heart almost stop beating altogether. That smile on his face, that malevolent smile and empty eyes as he held onto the purple haired Male's now broken arm.
The next thing was a blur. The screams of your harassers echoed around you and you heard a wet sound looping over and over again as well as hard thuds. Opening your eyes, you saw it. Two of the thugs bloodied and bruised as their limbs were bent in ways you couldn't imagine, one of them dangling up above you on a tree branch while the other one was limp inside of the cotton candy stand. Looking around for the third one, you saw him behind held against one of the food stands while Yuuji was there gripping his hand over the punk's neck. You couldn't exactly show him any mercy and yet Yuuji was clearly taking things too far, even when the guy tried to beg for mercy and claw his way out of your friend's hold, all Yuuji did was stand there with a grin you've never seen before. It wasnt one of his innocent smiles or mischievous grins, no, it was one of pure sadism. "P-please stop, I'm sorry..I'm sorry.." "you didn't stop when she wanted you too, So why should I?" Yuuji tilted his head to the side a little, chuckling a little as his grip tightened and the man gasped out for air "you'll pay for what you did. You'll all fucking pay..."
The air in your chest almost stopped filling your lungs completely as you watch this. That wasn't the Yuuji you knew, he would've never went this far just to prove a point! Slowly taking a step forward and then another and then slowly speeding up, you reached out and held onto the arm Yuuji was holding the punk up with. "Yuuji, stop it! You'll kill him if you keep this up!" You yelled only to feel a blow strike your face and send you tumbling back a few feet, causing you to scream out in pain. "Stay out of this." Was all he said until freezing and slowly turning back to see what he had done.
Crimson was spilling from your nose onto your shirt and it was gushing out by the bucket to which you quickly covered as you stared up at Yuuji with teary eyes. Regret instantly overwhelmed him as he dropped the thug and slowly reached over to you, his senses coming back to him. "N/N?" He questioned, almost checking to see if you were alright but you backed away as he stepped over to you. What has he done..? Why did he..? He watched you slowly back away with each step, fear in your bright (E/C) eyes and it broke him. "Hey, w-what's wrong? I was only trying to protect them from you, you don't have to be scared."
As people began to crowd in, brought in by the noise of fighting and your scream, Yuuji hand ghosted over the skin of yourself shoulder and you flinched. You flinched at his touch..So many feelings began to overwhelm him that he didn't notice the look of horror in your eyes as you watched what thought were scars slowly twitch and open up, revealing bright red eyes staring directly at you.
"They were going to hurt you," 'She's scared of you now after all you've done' "I saved you! They won't touch you like that again!" 'She sees you for what you are, brat.' "I just wanted to keep you safe!" With each yell, Yuuji watched as you grew more and more scared, the people around all of you terrified as they watched and some even grabbing whatever they could that could be a weapon. Gripping his head as he felt an intense pain through his skull, it was then he noticed..how small you looked as he towered over you. When did you get so small? He thought to himself, bending down to grab you when he saw his arm.
His nails were a dark purple shade, sharper and three black markings were on his wrist. Turning his head a little to one of the booth's and staring into the window was when the truth hit Yuuji hard. His body was different and taller now for some reason and Sukuna's markings were slowly appearing over his face. He was..slipping?
"Y-yuuji, what the hell is happening to you.." he heard you whisper yet before he could respond, there was the sharp pain of something blunt hitting his shoulder. Looking to his feet, he saw a medium sized rock and there another and another. The people were launching what they could at him, yelling at him to leave the girl alone and to leave. Yelling for his death, calling him a monster, calling him a curse. He stared at you for a moment, seeing how now tears leaking from your eyes and Yuuji stepped away before fleeing.
"Yuuji, wait!!" He heard your frantic yell from behind him but it didn't slow him down as he kept running further into the distance and leaving you behind. Your yells becoming drowned out by the mad laughter of Sukuna echoing in his mind.
-----------------------
No, he didn't want this at all. The day was meant to go differently, it was meant to be just the two of you having fun together and end with the ferris wheel and him finally telling you that he...
Thunder crackled outside of the decrepit shrine the boy had taken shelter in, rain pouring outside by the gallons. As he watched the raindrops in silence, Yuuji saw how the scenery slowly began to shift around him as the sky became more malevolent and the cold concrete he was sitting on now a pool of crimson water with piles on top of piles of bones surrounded him. The memories of the fairground echoed in his mind over and over again on loop of him hitting you and your look of fear haunting him, causing his eyes to water.
"Aw, are you going to cry, brat..?"
Yuuji remained silent as he waited for Sukuna to appear at any moment, yet he never came, only his voice lingered around him. "This is all of your fault.." Yuuji whispered, staring off into the rain. "My fault? I don't understand. If I recall, you were to one who eat my finger. You were the one who signed up for being my vessel, everything that has been done was all you..I merely watched from here."
"Bullshit! You made me hurt her..you made me like this!" Yuuji screamed out, flashes of who he did to those thugs showing through his mind, "You made me hurt them!"
"...No, that was all you. You can blame me all you want but I felt what you felt, saw what you saw and you loved every second of that fight. Whipping those who displease you in place, kicking the asses of the men who touched what was yours. Gotta say, made me tear up watching everything unfold" Hear the curse's chuckle echo around in the shrine, Yuuji quickly stood up and yelled out for Sukuna to show himself, only for him to collapse on his knees when feeling an sharp pain in his torso.
"No need to show myself, I'm already with you as close as I can."
Gritting his teeth in pain it was then that Yuuji saw his reflection staring back at him in the water, grinning ear to ear with malice in those sharp fangs.
"You see , Brat, becoming my vessel didn't just mean I was trapped inside of you..no no..You would slowly become me. Your small soul means shit compared to mine and it will be swallowed whole by me. I just needed us to be bound for some time and you would be mine..."
As the reflection spoke to him, Yuuji screamed out in pain as he felt his bones inside of him crack and twist as if they were rearranging themselves. His stomach felt as if it was being cut open entirely as the flesh began to slowly pull apart while tearing open the yellow hoodie in the process, the meat of his torso was forced open as a tongue lulled out and licked his abs like they were lips. The sides of his waist felt as if someone was taking a pair of axes and were merely swinging it down as flesh began to bubble through and bones formed one by one until two new pair of arms were fully shaped. Taking a deep breath, Yuuji slowly chuckled as one of his hands reached up to his head and gripped it and the others wrapped around his waist.
"N-no..no..i.."
"You should be honoured, Yuuji. You get the privilege of becoming one with me, my power is now yours and yours mine." His lips, against his will, began to speak the words of Sukuna as they formed into a forced grin. "N-no..I haven't told her yet. I haven't told N/N that I love—"
"Yuuji?"
Once when he blinked, Yuuji found himself no longer in the shrine but sitting inside of his desk in his old desk with you standing beside him. Seeing you before him, safe and smiling at him, the boy quickly stood up and wrapped his arms around you which took you for surprise in the process but you simply allowed him to let it all out when you hugged him back. "Well hello to you too, welcome back to earth, how was your trip to space..?" You said, chuckling before feeling something wet on your shoulders. His tears.
"Y/N..I..I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for everything, I should've told you everything. I should'nt have hit you. I just wanted to protect you because...because...I love you!" His words surprised you but you simply smile. "I love you too, Yuuji."
Staring back down at the reflection before him of the boy hugging onto you tightly as he weeped, dark brown eyes shift to that of a bright velvet shade. Sukuna chuckled while stretching out his newly formed body. How good it felt to be back in control, to have actual flesh again and to see this brand new world all to himself. Sure, his power was not what it used to be but he would regain all of his fingers soon enough. As his domain faded away and he found himself back in the decrepit old shrine, he smirked to himself while debating his next order of business.
"Y/N L/N...Maybe I should do this body a favor and seize you for my own."
-----------------------
He wouldn't answer any of your calls or texts. No one has heard or seen of him but now there was a witch hunt for your best friend. As you laid in your dimly lit bedroom with bandages over your nose, you stared down at your phone anxiously awaiting something from Yuuji.
Ring~~~
Ring~~~
Hearing the sound of your phone vibrating, you quickly shot up from the covers an grabbed the phone, unlocking it right away and placing it to your ear.
"Hello?" There was nothing but silence on the other end, the soft howling of the wind being the other thing you could really make out. "Hello..?"
"N/N.." your heart practically stopped for a moment but you felt almost a wave of relief hearing his voice on the other line. "Oh thank god, Yuuji..Are you ok—" "N/N, open the window." Was all he said before then line went dead and you were left sitting there baffled. Did he make it back to your house? Slowly crawling out of the bed and slipping on your bedroom slippers, you walked over towards the window and moved the blinds down only a little to peep outside. Standing there in your backyard, shirtless and with his hands in his pockets was Yuuji, seemingly back to normal and everything. There were not increased height, no weird markings, he looked fine and apart of you wondered if it was just the force of his punch that made you see him change. No..because everyone else saw his appearance too.
Taking a deep breath, you lifted up the blinds and unlatched the window. The second that it was free and opened up, Yuuji had jumped above onto the roof and crawled inside to your room. "Y-yuuji, you have a lot of explaining to do— Whoa, whoa!" You took a step back cautiously but he soon grabbed ahold of your wrist and pulled you close to his chest, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his head in the crook of your neck. "I know I do, but first I just want to say I'm sorry to you, Y/N. I never meant to hurt you.." he said, whispering in a soft tone as his hold on you tighten a bit.
"I'm leaving here after tonight but I just had to see you to tell you that I..I love you. I love you, Y/N" Taken back by his words, you felt yourself being pushed onto your bed and watched as the boy loomed over you before crawling onto the mattress.
He loved you. Those words practically made your heart skipped over so many times that you were positive that you had stopped breathing. "Let me come with you, Yuuji." You said, reaching up to his face and caressing his cheeks, "I don't know what's happening but you can trust me. I won't let you go through this alone and I'll always be here with you."
He didn't say much after that. All he did was lower his head a little until your lips were merely inches away from each other before he pressed them together. The sensation you felt was one like fireworks. Those butterflies in your stomach exploding and multiplying over and over again as you felt his tongue licking your bottom lip but you pulled away before he could fully explore your mouth.
"Always..? So you will always stay with me, N/N?" He whispered, head dipping down to your neck as he left a trail of kisses down your warm skin until he kissed the base of your throat. "Yeah..I will." "Do you swear..?" His hands began to grip your hips, running the tips of his fingers against your clothed thighs while he began to press his own hips to your own.
"I-I swear.." you said, staring up at Yuuji with a small smile. He stared at you for a moment, smiling down at you before sitting up, his large hand covering the upper half of his face.
"That's all I need to make you mine." Sliding his hand upwards was when you saw it. Those spare eyes once again on Yuuji's cheeks, staring at you as if it you were nothing but glass. That sincere smile that calmed your soul became a mischievous grin, showing the sharpened fangs he now had. You watched as those pitch blackp markings began to spread over his skin and yet the moment you sat up, two fully grown arms pinned you down onto the mattress. "Almost as naive as the brat himself but I suppose there is some charm to the naivete of a woman. Makes it easier to influence, to change.." 'Yuuji' said, dipping his head down to your ear before biting down on the lobe of it. You gasped out, squirming in his hold.
"Let me go, Yuuji! I don't know what's going on but I want to help! Just let me help you!" You yelled out to him but soon silenced yourself as you noticed the scenery of your bedroom changing. All of your furniture began to disappear one by one as a red hue began to spread around the two of you
In the blink of an eye, you were taken to Sukuna's innate domain. The water that replaced the softness of your bed now causing your back to soaked and your hair now spread out and floating in the depths. "Yell all you want but that brat can't hear you anymore. Gone forever in a dream that will never come true, but I promise I will keep you company in his stead. By the time I am done with you, will forget all about him. All you'll want is me, all you'll ever need is me. The name Ryomen Sukuna will burned into your soul and you'll learn to worship me, N/N..."
With a single swing, the soft yet wet cotton fabric of your shirt and shorts was torn off of you with ease and revealed your now exposed flesh to the cold. Sukuna stared down at them, his tongue licked over his long and sharp fangs as his eyes motioned down to your folds. His hand traveled down your thighs before his finger swiped against the outer circle of your lips yet he looked displeased from what he felt. "Dry as a drought but that's fine. I'll be fucking you regardless" he said, his index finger slowly pushing inside of your virgin cunt causing you to gasp out for air and arch your back. "You tighten just now, dirty whore...Did you often fantasise Yuuji stuffing his cock inside of you...?" he whispered into your ear intimately, he kissed the bottom of your ear and moved onto your neck, sucking until he found the soft spot that made you inhale deeply.
Sukuna sucked on your neck while constantly kept inserting his finger in you, pumping in and out, eventually adding a second digit. He curled his fingers and caused you let out a faint moan as his finger crept closer to your sweet spot over and over. It was too much, you thought as he bit down onto your soft skin, and you were feeling so good from it so far and it made you ashamed. this demon, this thing was in your best friend's body and now he was using it to currently assault your body but the feeling of it all was too good. You had to keep your eyes shut for looking up at Sukuna tugged at your heart as all you saw was Yuuji.
"Oh you are loving this..." parting from your neck,he looked pleased seeing the angry red hickey left behind.
"I-im not...I'm not..." A moan escaped your lips, feeling something wet replace his fingers. Lifting your head, you saw a mouth on the palm of his hand and its tongue gently licking the nub of your clit almost like a lollipop. "Feels good, doesn't it, N/N..?" His tone was nothing less than mocking, the mouth taking ahold of one of your lips with its teeth causing you to scream out. "I said, it feels good doesnt it? Speak when your master is speaking to you. "
"Y-yes! It feels amazing!" You tasted so sweet on his tongue, circling your clit, lapping at your clenching entrance, kissing your folds. "A-Ah~" You whimper when he folds your legs to your chest, He takes another nip at your clit, as he listened to your hushed whines. Your moans were music to his ears, yet what he wanted from you was his name. The thought of his former vessel's love screaming his name turned him on, the thought of keeping you only fueling the flames. It was harder and harder for him to contain hisself when you're drowning in the pleasure of his mouth licking and sucking at your sloppy pussy.
"I'll take you as mine. You'd like that wouldn't you? Being the woman of the king of curses, waiting for me to return to fill you to the brim." sweat felt like it was pooling out of your body from the attention he was giving to on your clit. Your bucking hips were a clear sign that you were close and so, he pulled his hand away.
"You don't get to come yet. You're only allowed to when you're milking my cock."
The things he did to were things no man has ever done before. Scratches and cuts littered your flesh and bruises were on your sore ass and stomach. There a few times to where you had even blacked out from the amount of pleasure he had given you..
Now you found yourself with you riding his swollen cock as he stared up at you with satisfied eyes, grunting while large hands were pressed against your abused breasts as his hips pumped up into your leaking cunt. Your head felt like it was spinning as you screamed out, orgasm crashing hard as your cunt tightened around his shaft.
As you felt his throbbing cock inside of you, his hand grabbed ahold of your chin and your lips made contact. Sukuna only pulled away when he silently cursed, his seed releasing inside of you for what felt like the billionth time. Taking a deep breath, he stayed inside of your warm hole, not wanting a single drop to spill and kissed your cheek.
Fucking you only assured his choice of keeping you as he own. Sukuna was going to original kill you while taking Yuuji's appearance after taking you but holding you close like this as you soon became limp (no doubt exhausted), your warmth against his own and staring down at your cum stained face..it made something inside him feel strange.
A weakness no doubt, but one at the moment that could keep him entertained. Combing a loose strand of hair behind your ears, Sukuna chuckled.
"From this day forth, you will be my bride. Consider yourself lucky..."

GLADLY >:D (it is 2 in the morning as i type this because i have lost control of my life. spoilers for p5)
So the original/basic premise was based on a couple different posts that culminated into "what if there were two "teams" of phantom thieves running around in Persona 5 era" and the kickoff point for that was immediately following the death of Wakaba Isshiki. Instead of continuing to do All That Murder, Akechi finds out about the falsified suicide note and really starts to doubt that this is his best course of action. Yaldabaoth doesn't want his pawn to slip away, so he summons Akechi to the Velvet Room in order to convince him this is still the "right" path or whatever. He's got the other wild cards under control and can keep them out of the way.
Meanwhile, in Inaba, Sho's wandered his way back there after a couple years (May 2012 to August 2014, more or less) and at this point is thinking that maybe friends might not be a bad idea. He's still got the open invite to the Velvet Room and there's been a couple weird developments with Tsukiyomi too, but he knows he can reach the nose guy and blue crew from here.
[May 2021; did this for an art final]
...Sho wasn't on the guest list and waltzes right into a scene of nose guy (who sounds really different than before), new blue shortstacks, and a kid behind bars. There's also a chance he actually went by where the other velvet attendants are currently "detained" to not influence the situation with Akechi.
Oops.
He gets in a few good blows against the weird guy before Yaldigor realizes that he's lost his chance with his pawn and now has a fairly competent wild card in the making aware of his existence and ready to end it. He runs off, Igor comes back, and suddenly everything's a whole lot different than how it played out before. The blue shortstacks were what happened to the attendant made for him (which begs so many questions, what do you mean made, old man), as it turns out, but fate has changed. Igor didn't lose to Yaldy without a fight, but that means he's fairly drained power-wise and can't exactly fuse personas himself or return the twins to being Lavenza. Margaret and Theodore are around to assist where they can, but they still lost. There's no telling when that weirdo's coming back, or how, which means they have to prepare and get their shit together before it's too late.
(Speaking of getting shit together, hey, uh, Nose Man, are Personas supposed to be able to talk to you outside of the shadow world or have kinda complicated personalities?)
Akechi's still having his own crisis in the corner because he still thinks this is some kind of nightmare (which. he's not wrong) and also Everything Else is not helping, but he's much less inclined for All That Murder which is. not something Shido's gonna want to hear.
things just kinda continue from there? Akechi deals with being a wildcard with the wrong starting persona while also trying to fix his mistakes with the whole "murder" thing (a process made harder by not being able to find out where the victim's daughter is right away), Sho gets the power of friendship to some degree and honestly probably spends more of his time in the shadow world or the velvet room than the real world (two years isn't enough time to undo all the social behaviors he got as a kid and it's still easier to fight as an opener than to say hello), and instead of a team of 8-10 persona users running around Tokyo in 2016 (depending on your point in the story), there's more like... 14 before counting any help that might arrive for the Christmas Eve Showdown (not on the grand stage, of course, but helping on the lower levels to try and minimize the panic/damage).
also sho-jose friendship is real to me because let's be real, sho WOULD pick a fight with a toddler if he found one running around mementos and then said toddler was A Lot Stronger than anticipated. neither of them are entirely sure how humans work. they spend time at the library to try and figure it out.
so i have this au
#persona 5#2PTAU#persona#persona 4 arena ultimax#sho minazuki#yaldabaoth#jose p5r#goro akechi#this au has been running in some form for over 3 years now but it took a while before sho was added. he was a very important addition#the velvet room stops being a jail and is more like a rehabilitation center (cause all three wild cards have things to work through)#lavenza being sho's intended assistant/attendant hit me pretty early on#cause like YES igor's gonna have folks ready ahead of time but Yaldy was the one that gave joker and akechi the Persona Powers#so igor probably wouldn't have made lavenza for either of them. sho on the other hand never officially signed the contract#and would still need a guiding hand to unlock his full power. she's pretty different from him (polite & unassuming) which is perfect for hi#at least in terms of seeing the world differently and learning how to work with others and whatnot#but because of the split he doesn't get that. instead akechi and joker get caroline and justine and sho get jose as his weird kid companion#it's mostly vanilla P5 with as much royal as i want to toss in cause I'm still debating specifics despite the fact that this is brain candy#...and because i don't have good ideas for someone's ideal reality. i know what sho's is and i might write or draw something for it anyway#cause uh spoilers#[he knows it isn't real but he wants to pretend it is just for a little while. he wants what he can never have and it hurts to let go.]#(the extra phantom thieves btw are mishima and hifumi and shiho because i can do what i want hifumi's persona is chewbacca.)#ANYWAY it's nearly 3 in the morning but i will happily continue to go off about this AU#i have an entire document that's just “what are contact names that everyone uses for each other” and some are more practical than others#willowarts#akage sho

━━━ Atsumu Miya is a free-loader. Living inside his twin brother's home as if it was his, he would bring home girls and annoy Osamu most of the time. Y/N L/N is quite the opposite apparently because she's a virgin loser. Being the popular anonymous BL mangaka known as Yamazaki, she stays in the homey abode of her parents and watches boys from afar for references (not for admiration sadly).
Now what will happen if fate decided to tie these two idiots together and made them live across each other in one apartment?
。m.list ❯❯ prev┃next
ONE ━━ THE TWIN BROTHER’S DECISION
"SO THAT'S THE TEA?"
You nodded dejectedly and raised the Tuna Mayo Onigiri in the direction of your mouth. You bit into the delicious rice snack, humming in delight as the saucy and sweet flavors of tuna cheered you up just for a slight bit. "They said that a girl my age shouldn't be living with her parents and should finally get a guy instead of drawing an imaginary one. You know that they're old school, Mai." You said, mouth full of rice bits and tuna.
The female ran her fingers through her short bright red hair. "Well, you are 25 now, and you haven't got a boyfriend since middle school," She propped her elbow on top of the round wooden table, resting her chin on her palm. "But they should've told you beforehand, right? How are you supposed to look for a residence in a short span of time?" She asked and watched you devour the onigiri meal with such ease. Her black-colored eyes held an uncertain expression as Mai was concerned for her colleague and friend.
After hearing the unfortunate news directly from your loving parents, your mind had to process the sudden information for two solid minutes. The first person you thought of to call is your closest friend, Mai, your roommate back at art school and a mangaka in the shounen industry. Although the two genres have completely different backgrounds, you two are stuck together like peas in a pod through the grace and glory of fawning over 2d men.
Ain't that great?
"They said I could stay back for two weeks until I could find a place to move in. I still have nine days to move out. And as for the residence part..."
You rummaged through the leather bag slung over your shoulder and took out a creased brochure of a newly built apartment based in the heart of east Osaka with its breathtaking cherry blossom conifers and pious shrines. The leaflet's minimalistic design delineated the idiosyncratic architectural structure of the tall building on the front page. Anybody could tell that this jointly owned establishment may settle for tenants with stable incomes.
For someone who changed the BL archives with her plot-driven works, Y/N could provide the fees to rent a homey room on the clabber-plastered apartment complex.
Mai shifted on her seat and studied the brochure on the table with interest— crossing her legs and leaning her torso forward to get a full view of the given pamphlet. "The building does seem promising. You could even check out your works in the Manga Shops at the city." She remarked as her eyes skimmed through the brochure, taking note of the facilities and rooms for the future tenants.
"Right? I already checked the place out yesterday, and coincidentally, the studio office is close by," The H/C-haired female pushed back the tiny strands of baby hair tickling her forehead as it was annoying her smooth skin. "They even allow pets. The apartment buildings I visited mostly don't allow pets, and the others who do, they have weird-ass tenants whom I don't really wanna be neighbors with." She ended, scratching the back of her neck.
"Soooooo, that's the apartment you're planning to move in."
You nodded your head, "I prepared the papers and told my parents about it. Maybe you can help me move my things out?" You suggested to your friend as your leg overlapped with the other, biting into another piece of onigiri from the porcelain plate.
Tilting her head to the side, Mai let out a light scoff from the BL mangaka's proposition as she gestured her hand downwards. "I'm offended, Y/N! Of course, I'll help you." She expressed her whimsical disbelief through her words. "I thought we were best of friends." The young lady teased.
"After all those collab fan arts of the Akatsuki, why wouldn't we be at this point?" You joked; however, the shinobi anime reference wasn't technically a gag as you both had a history of fangirling over the smexy criminal organization— even if you both had a peculiar taste in men. "By the way, why did you choose this place? Isn't this sort of far away from your workplace?" You questioned the red-haired female, a bit curious on why she decided to meet up with you in this Onigiri Restaurant.
Mai's lips turned up into a smirk as she motioned her finger for you to move closer. "My assistants and I decided to eat here after a hard day's work. By the time we were all seated, our eyes got blessed when the restaurant's owner catered to our table!" She whispered with excitement dipped on her tongue.
"Oh boy, if you had seen him, you would've gotten the inspiration to make a character from his well-sculpted face."
You raised a brow and let out a snortle, "We went here because a hot owner caught your attention? I should've gone with you then." You played along and couldn't help but laugh at your friend's reason for dining out a distance away from her studio office.
Like middle schoolers, you both giggled as Mai continued her story of the dashing Onigiri restaurant owner with her witty play of words. You never had any interest in dating; however, you still bid no mind to your friend's fawning over pretty men who would unlikely pay attention to either of them.
"That owner you're talking about might not visit his restaurant, Mai."
"I know, silly! But I do wonder what that work of art does outside his work."
Osamu is a very patient man. May it be through his responsibility of running an Onigiri business, or may it be just a simple waiting in line at the subway station of Tokyo, the male wouldn't lose his temper nor be frustrated over such trivial things.
But when his exhausted figure slugged inside the comforts of his home and found the living room all trashed with empty bottles of energy drinks and bags of chips, Osamu was finally at his breaking point.
"Atsumu, you mother-fucker... COME DOWNSTAIRS THIS INSTANT!" He burst out, calling out his twin brother's name as he began picking up the trashes scattered throughout his coffee table and his lawson couch. His ears caught the sound of loud footsteps thumping on the wooden-tiled floor as he could immediately tell that it was a certain someone who came down the stairs.
A bed of ruffled blonde hair popped out of the stairway as a certain setter casually jumps into the scene of the untidy crime, walking towards the other twin with open arms.
"Welcome home, Samu! Did your staff make a mistake in the newly-opened shop back at Shinjuku? You look a bit frustrated right now-"
Atsumu stopped himself once he noticed his twin brother standing over the mess he forgot to clean up. His arms dropped to the side while his chocolate eyes shifted over to Osamu's annoyed expression, "Okay. This time, I absolutely forgot to clean up." The male tried to explain himself.
The quiet one of the two shook his head in disapproval, sighing out and pinching the bridge of his nose to calm his fiery nerves. "I found this apartment, Tsumu. I think it's best for the both of us if you could finally get your own place." He stated, hearing the slight choke coming from his brother's throat.
"WHAT?! What made you think that this would be the best for the both of us, Samu?" Atsumu protested, his eyebrows furrowing together in confusion as to why his brother would suggest that sort of idea.
Osamu raised his hand and lifted three of his fingers to his twin's eye level. "First, you sometimes disrupt my sleep whenever you'd bring your flings at home," He stated and didn't bother to let the other speak their mind about the issue at hand as he continued his statement of reasons. "Second, you'd sometimes forget to do your lists of chores and often lie that you didn't do them because you were tired from training." He paused for a moment, thinking of a third reason until it clicked in the back of his mind.
"Lastly, you're a 23 professional athlete, who makes a lot of money than what I usually make, and yet, you're living with your twin brother."
Atsumu stared at Osamu as he crossed his arms, "So? You'll kick me out if I don't move out of your place?" He derided, his voice mostly holding a hint of teasing as he knew his brother wouldn't act so rashly over those reasons.
Oh, was the male so wrong.
"Yes, Tsumu. I'm kicking you out."

Chapter 2:
「6:30pm」
Horns honking left and right, men in suits exiting the train. Women sitting on benches holding their phones with their shoulder–typing away on a laptop. High school girls walking around in groups, giggling and smiling at one another. Obviously they were having a good conversations. Tourists and visitors checking out pastry displays, hands on their chins- undecided on what to get.'Tokyo sure is busy, huh.' Y/n said to herself.
Y/n was currently strolling throughout the streets, glancing every now and then at food restaurants— trying to see what she was in the mood for. Tapping her phone screen once again, she checked the time. In a thin helvetica font, the numbers "3:25" were written along with the words "pm" right next to it in a smaller font size. Dropping her hands down, her arms drooping right along- a sigh left her lips. She's been walking around for 15 minutes and still couldn't find what she wanted to eat. She stopped by a bakery, checking out what they had to offer, didn't really liked what she saw and left. Then went to a classic sushi restaurant— that also served Ramen. Once again, she turned her head and walked out of door. From there, she just began going back and forth through restaurants— which leads her to right now. She went deeper into the city, wandering further away from the school's location. To be honest, the whole mission even slipped her mind- she had a new job now: finding where the fuck to eat. Being really the indecisive person she was, this whole thing took another hour. Yeah...a whole HOUR.

At last, the woman was finally making her to an empty table carrying a black tray, filled with her meal order. Placing her order on the beautiful round tan wooden table, she pulls out the chair tucked under—sitting herself down. Y/n glanced down at her food and honestly, it looked good as hell. Kinda reminded her of how those anime food gifs looked like that you search up on Google. What was her food choice? Well, it was Ramen:
I know, I know- early she said she wasn't in the mood for Ramen but shut up! People can change and y/n's appetite craving sure did.
Picking up the pair of wooden chopsticks with her right, slowly watching as the steam from the noodles rised up only to disappear within the air—y/n began to eat her meal. Grasping the thin long lines of unleavened wheat dough between her chopsticks, she silently blew on before placing them into her mouth. Using her left hand, she grabbed the chirirenge—dipping it into the bowl, scooping up a spoonful of the well seasoned broth. Y/n brought her left to her lips and slowly drunk the liquid. She continued eating, placing the tender mushrooms into her mouth, savoring the flavor. Taking more sips of the broth with her chirirenge, her right hand going to her bowl again to grab a piece of sliced meat then taking another chomp. She was enjoying this a little more than she should but so what? She deserved it. Still, time was going by pretty fast actually and she still yet to remember her mission.

Three hours have now passed since "3:25pm". Y/n was now finishing up her glass of water, as a waitress came to pick up the empty bowl along with the tray. Grabbing her phone, she made her way out of the door. It was now 6pm. It was less crowded now, but since it wasn't dark yet, people were still around checking out the city. It was the beginning of summer after all.
Y/n was now walking down the streets of Tokyo, before she head back—she wanted to stop by the convenience store to get a few things. Taking a sharp turn to the left, then pushing through a sea full of people— she made it to her destination. The convenience store. At this moment, y/n was ready to take in on her indulges of just buying snacks like crazy. She barley had enough time to eat a proper meal because of her crazy schedule, so she always just ate a quick snack to pass her hunger over to complete her mission.
◇
Placing her hand on the door's handle, pushing it forward and stepped into the store. She stood there in awe for a few seconds until a small smirk appeared on her lips, she was now in her snack buying heaven. Automatically going towards the back of the store, she grabs herself a few drinks. Next, she went to an aisle and grabbed a few packets of candy. Moving onto the next aisle, where all the chips, cookies, instant Ramen,(etc) were at—y/n just stood there. She had such a wide variety to choose from but first she grabbed a couple of her favorite cup Ramen and her cookies as well. Now, what type of chips did she want? When it came down to these, y/n always liked to look at the flavors and see if there were any new ones. And if they were? Well she'll try them. Shrugging her shoulder, she went up and grabbed a few of the ones she always ate then a few of the new flavors. It was now time to check out, she had enough snacks to last her a decent month or two. Carrying all of her items to the front counter, she casually dropped them as the cashier began scanning. Y/n stood there looking at the small monitor, watching as the numbers went up after every beep—she hoped that she'll be able to pay for everything.
The cashier placed all of her food items into white plastic bags and placed them on the counter.
"Your total is ¥2664.19." The worker said. ($25.19 in USD)
Immediately, she goes into her pocket and pulls out the cash needed to pay. She hands it to the cashier and grabs the white bags resting on the countertop. A 'Thank you' leaving the person's lips as y/n nodded her head and walked out the store. Now it was time to head back! Today was a victory. She got to wander around Tokyo, Eat a decent meal, and not to mention got snacks. Y/n smiled to herself and pulled out her phone. Since she had snacks, she was gonna shoot Megumi a message to see if he was willing to eat some with her. Maybe they could find a good sho–wait a minute. At this moment, she froze. Megumi? Letting out a gasp with a surprised expression, she came to realization.
"OH SHIT, I FORGOT ABOUT THE MISSION."
In less than a second, y/n was on her feet, dashing down the street. she was pretty fast, considering she was a Sorcerer and running was a common thing.
Unlocking her phone with her thumb, she went to her contacts and immediately called her partner.
"please, please, please... pick up." She said to herself. Even though she knew he was a Sorcerer and could handle himself, her gut told her something wasn't right and this threw her into a panic.
"The phone number you are trying to re-"
It was no use, he wasn't picking up. How would she know where he was? He could be anywhere—they spilt up to look for the finger, to see if it was in a different location. So many thoughts were running through her head, she didn't even know where she was heading to. The only thing she could think of was her friend's safety.
She finally came down to a decision to first check the school. If he wasn't there, she wasn't sure what she'll do but she'll leave things up to future her. Making a sharp turn to the right, she went into an alley way. Jumping on top of trash can, y/n used this as little boost to pull herself up to a building's rooftop. Since she spent so much time doodling off, it was now dark. Which was a good thing—so people wouldn't see her leaping from building to building. It would be weird as hell if they did.
Going through hellish missions of fighting curses did pay off. She had agility and was able to pass over buildings with ease, swiftly taking a right turnnext a left as she went further down. Pushing her foot upwards off of the concrete roof, she leaped into the air, grabbing onto a branch from a tree. She then released her grip and landed on the sidewalk, proceeding to sprint towards the school.

At last, she was at the school's gates. Instinctively, her eyes began examining the area. Checking the ground, she saw a few broken shards of glass, this must have meant something happened. Y/n looked up and her heart almost dropped into her stomach. There were multiple broken windows and she felt lingering curse energy oozing out from the school. Without wasting anymore time, the woman ran into the school. Busting through the doors, she swiftly headed to the staircase and started ascending the steps with speed.
┆

Seeing that there were nobody on each floor, her last step was the school's roof.
Making it to the last set of stairs, y/n prepared herself—she took into caution of a cursed being present. Gathering and focusing on her curse energy, she was ready to take on the curse at any moment. Steadily, she made her way up steps and pulled the roof's door open. To her surprise, it was nothing was she intended it to be.
On his knees, completely worn-out, covered in injuries head to toe, uniform in a mess, and the obvious bleeding from his head. She knew it, Megumi was hurt.
Immediately, dropping her plastic bags, she rushed over to him- completely ignoring her sensei. Lowering herself down to his level, and before she could speak- her friend did.
"I'm fine, no need to worry." He said with his eyes closed, looking away from her direction. He wasn't fine, he was holding his torso—blood was dripping down from his hand. Y/n blamed herself deeply, it was her fault that he was in such a state. Grabing his right arm, she slung it over her neck as it rested on her shoulder. She then slider her left arm around his waist to help him back on his feet. Megumi wanted to protest but he knew thay she wasn't planning on letting him go. Now they were both on their feet, she finally looked up and noticed a tall man with a stupid blindfold—Gojo Satoru, their teacher. She didn't only notice him but a shirtless boy hanging over his shoulder? He had pink hair with a black undercut, she swear she saw him before but couldn't put her finger on it.
"Aww! Y/n you missed it!" Gojo said with a pouty voice in attempt to sound like an innocent school girl.
"Miss what?" She responded.
"Nothing." Megumi spat out in an annoyed tone.
Gojo was opening his mouth to speak again but y/n cut off him.
"Who's that?" Y/n was looking at the boy who was knocked tf out on Gojo's shoulder. Her sensei only hummed in response, this irritated her because he didn't answer her question. Megumi noticed this and sighed,
"I'll explain later."
Y/n glared at her injured partner, not liking that the two were being secretive but megumi did say he'll tell her soon, that was enough. Both of them started walking towards the roof's door. Bending her knees down slightly, she leaned to the side and used her free to pick up her snacks. With this, she completely lets go of megumi as he fell onto the ground with a harsh slap. Before megumi could literally curse her out for dropping him after she offered to help him, she quickly picked him up bridal style. Fushiguro was silent. it wasn't that he accepted what she was doing but more like in shock and didn't have words.
Satoru just stood by with a dumbfounded look on his face and only was able to say "O-"
Y/n didn't really care, it was bothersome to carry him on her shoulder all the way down some stairs. As she said before, she's a Sorcerer.
Megumi looked up at her with an angry expression, it seemed like he was gonna pop a vain. She only smiled in response and simply said, "Hold on." And with that, she jumped off the school's roof, heading back to the dorms.
