oh yeah, the fandom used to be super strict about mizuki's pronouns. if you used she/her it was on sight back when i started playing. i'm fairly certain that the shift from she/they to they/them in official translation was for this reason

#that said some complaints about the official TL stem from the statement about Mizuki's pronouns they made #they officially stated that characters will refer to Mizuki how they perceive her. so Kanade used she/her meanwhile Ena used they/them #which made no sense back then and DEFINITELY doesn't make sense with the context of Thorns #obviously when this statement was published some fans were concerned at how they were handling it because it could easily go wrong. and did #they never officially rescinded the statement but since they decided to stick to they/them (which was more preferred by the fandom)#they effectively have.#asks
