💐 Do your drawing suit your aesthetics?

hmm, i'm not fully sure what the 'aesthetics' here means but if it's about irl tastes, i'd say it's actually the opposite, in that i started drawing elves and then realized that i want my house to (theoretically) look like a FA noldorin castle lol. realistically decorations of those sorts are unfortunately hard to find or make, though I am thinking of making a nice cloak for wearing around the house!

🌈 Do you use more warm or cold colors?

probably a pretty even balance? for sketch layers I usually use blue and yellow/orange to differentiate parts, and characters/backgrounds are just whatever fits best. it might skew a bit towards cool colors though, mostly since maglor is very blue.

🙃 Which is easier: faces facing left, right, or front view?

never front view - left or right depends on the day, but it's usually 3/4 angle facing left. i've actually been using the gil-galad variations series to practice different angles, though some gils are more inclined towards one direction than others.

📏 What’s your go-to canvas size?

i use autodesk sketchbook, and the default canvas size is 1920x1076 px, so i usually start there and crop as needed. for pieces i know are going to be bigger i usually set it to 3000x2000 and crop, but sometimes stuff like the family tree end up needing extra canvas extensions

uhh based on the baby videos i'm going to say around 2, and my oldest distinct OC (now my dnd character) is from a ten-printer-papers-long thing i drew when i was 4. i did a lot of random sketches for a while, and started digital art in 2020!

If you could show one piece of your art to your childhood self, which would it be?

ooh good question! hmm.

i'm going to say the gil galad variations here. in terms of purely technical 'wow, i did that?' i have a handful of painting studies i really like, and there's a star wars piece i just finished that feels like it poured directly out of my brain and onto the page. i'm pretty sure the maglor wedding music one was the hardest-to-pose pieces i actually finished, and the melkor one is one of my favorites in capturing a concept,

but when i was a kid, i remember the weird sense of disconnect where complicated, good-looking art fell into the 'wow, i'll never be able to do that' category. and while the gil galads series does have a good range of distinct faces, poses, and coloring, it also shows a few months of progress in a pretty simple format.
