reo is absolutely listening to every word you're saying.

of course he is. you two are on your first official date and he would be a complete asshat to not be actively engaged in conversation with you. listening attentively as you ramble about your hobbies and interests.

but he isn't. listening attentively that is, he's also not an asshat but he feels like he seems like one. it's not his fault though, not entirely. it's just that your mouth is so pretty. he can't hardly focus on the words they form when he's too distracted by the pretty tint that coats your lips.

they look sweet like a ripe strawberry, and he'd be a liar if he said he didn't want a taste.

he continues to watch your lips as they form words, but having no idea what you're saying. if he concentrates really maybe he can pull his attention away from the siren call of your sweet mouth.

your worried tone finally snaps him back to reality, your fingers curled nervously around the drink you'd ordered.

"yes?" he replies, feeling as though he'd just awoken from a trance.

"you looked a bit zoned out, i know i talk too much, sorry." you say, taking your bottom lip between your teeth.

that is almost enough to distract him once again but he remains strong.

"don't apologize. i enjoy hearing you talk, i just had something on my mind."

you nod, tucking a few loose strands of hair behind your ear, and give him a nervous smile.

much later when you and reo's date is over and he's walking you home, a hand on your lower back, you feel a bit sad that the day has come to an end so soon.

a few steps more and the two of you arrive at your door, the sadness feeling a bit heavier.

"you didn't have to walk me all the way up, you know? you could have just watched me walk into my very secure apartment building from your fancy car."

reo gives you a small smirk, reaching out to brush his thumb across your bottom lip.

"i gotta see you for as long as i can," he replies, "especially when you have a lip tint this irresistible on."

his eyes flash as he pulls his thumb away from your lips towards his own mouth.

you feel like your entire body has been set on fire.

with the smirk still on his lips, he tells you to dream of him, watching you unlock your apartment door and doesn't turn to leave until you are safely inside.
