me, sobbing: everyone tried so hard in onikakushi-hen...... rena found keiichi in the woods, injured, and dragged him back home and called the doctor for him.... mion came over even though he'd said vile, cruel things to her, because they could both see their friend had been deteriorating and they loved him and worried about him. they both came and waited for the doctor to get there, and they tried to act like it was a normal day, to put their friend at ease.... because they CARED and they wanted him to be ok........

and the whole time, keiichi is so SCARED, the whole world is a monster out to get him, he can't escape or think clearly, he doesnt know any peace, but he STILL TRIES, he writes notes and gathers evidence even as despair and paranoia crush in on him from all sides, even as he loses the ability to trust anyone close to him..... he hides it in his room where he thinks it wont be found, and he runs, and he tries to defend himself..... everything is an uphill battle, everyrhing a struggle, everything is trying to get him and he STILL tries and scrabbles and fights back with all his strength........

every instance of everyone missing each other, talking past each other, information unshared letting paranoia fester.......... they all care so much and try SO HARD.....
