hate when dudebros say that sukuna “lost aura” when he switched to megumi’s body, because do they not realize he did all that in shibuya to specifically mess with yuji‘s psyche and also bc no one was around to stop him in that chaos?
like why should he immediately go on a rampage upon switching vessels, when the most important thing was the ritual to suppress megumi’s soul? plus, he probably couldn’t do anything worse in that moment than laughing in yuji’s face and dwelling in his misery while he sports the face of his best friend
#that man ‘didn’t have aura’ bc he didn’t need to rush things anymore. why would he go cause another shibuya incident#when there was enough time for that later and he could just enjoy moving around freely after escaping his prison?#also he knew he had to get rid of gojo first before he could do what he wanted so#sukuna#ryomen sukuna#jujutsu kaisen#jjk#☁️.blogging

ooc. all right, i gotta know and i ain't gonna wait for a meme for a chance to ask: why did delmud join leif's liberation army instead of going with seliph when they went their separate ways at alster? he was sent as seliph's messenger, but had no immediate reason to stay and fight with leif. was it because of nanna, or was there some other factor?
( youre so precious let’s do this )
little disclaimer first: I’ve only gone through the fe5 script about twice-ish and some LPs, so my answers might not be quite fleshed out or if there are any mistakes I made—please feel free to inform me!

Oh man, Nanna is definitely a reigning factor since that’s a close relative he’s been looking forward to finding & meeting ever since he heard the army was going for Leonster from Rivough to help Leif. (Probably spent some sleepless nights being anxious and lowkey excited to finally reunite with sis & mum.)
His first meeting and Nanna’s reaction isn’t quite what he expected—happy sappy reunion, yes, but hearing the depressing part about their mother going missing and Nanna who once was frustrated at delmud for being the “cause” of it when really young (she doesn’t seem to think that anymore), that hits him in the gut how merciless things have been toward his family, scattered all over the place separate from each other. And it’s even worse when he takes in all the damage the Manster District and Leonster have taken, surveying the civilians’ attitudes seem very much like Isaach’s population when he was a kid, the looks that they’ve been through some really rough times during the empire’s hellish occupation. It isn’t as noticeable with Nanna from the way she carries herself, but he picks up on the nuances from their quick discussion about their mother.
He stays to assist Leif’s campaign over going back to Seliph’s for these reasons:
Getting to know Nanna. since his childhood pals got to know their sibs and always seemed really close in a way only siblings understand, diarmuid would want to spend some quality bonding time with her to sort of make up for his absence. from diarmuid’s end, there’s already base unconditional familial love that’s waiting to be ignited into the real thing like proper siblings share.also by extension—getting to know nanna’s family: leif (her adoptive-ish brother) and... not... so much finn. (his somewhat evasion of finn mostly comes from feeling finn’s “unwelcoming” aura and decides to best keep his distance, more on it a bit w/ the lachesis section)
Leif’s cause is Nanna’s cause. he recognizes that leonster is very important to nanna as leif is to her to get their birthplace back, so joins leif’s ranks personally. he figures since seliph’s army is huge, that leif could use for another capable fighter among them to fend off the empire’s and south thracia’s attack attempts. “the more, the merrier” ...or as merry as they can get, that and liberating leonster was the major mission at hand for seliph’s army to focus on, so he stays as a middleman of sorts?
Acting as a go-between. gonna go off that seliph trusted diarmuid enough to send him as a messenger while leif’s army was in really bad turmoil, he likely relayed back to them he’d be staying temporarily to be close and in cener with the leonster rebellion. if anything happens, he’d send a dispatch to seliph’s army’s base to let ‘em know what’s happening, needing reinforcements, etc. which can come to be really helpful for success.(I think if they had parted ways permanently after liberating the thracia peninsula—leif & nanna and their men staying while seliph’s goes to miletos & grannvale—that would be a really difficult choice to make emotionally but would likely follow the main group to belhalla since that’s why he was fighting with them to begin with and wanted to be there until the very end. luckily, that doesn’t happen!)
Finding Lachesis & any info. he almost thought about asking finn since he’d know best, but went back on it seeing how inconsiderate that would be. so he doesn’t ever approach finn, and if they do fight side by side randomly, he doesn't say anything unless out of necessity as soldiers/comrades in war. with all the imprisoned people being let out in swarms (bc veld and raydrik having been POSs) and petrified people being freed by sara’s magic—he probably hoped among the prisoners would be lachesis. (50/50 probably mistook eyvel to be the one he was looking for at first glance but nanna clears that up for him (since he doesnt know what lachesis really looks like in person except descriptions and maybe small portrait paintings if they had any back in isaach)). since families being separated was really commonplace, he’s asked the ex-prisoners if they’ve ever seen someone like the person he describes and or names (perhaps she got captured by raydrik and was put somewhere was diarmuid’s thought) but to no avail. (i vaguely remember diarmuid saying levin told him his mother’s alive and i’ve seen references to it numerous of times, so it’d be easier for him to not fall into despair of “maybe she’s actually dead” like skasaher does about ayra.) he can only really do this stuff without rush if he sticks with leif’s army. (of course, he isn’t alone or does any of this by himself, since nanna & leif also looked for her so he goes with them a lot of his own free will.)
It’s like a big web of things that all connect back to having met Nanna and Nanna herself being the epitome of it all. screams I didn’t expect this to get even half this long, I hope this answers your questions! It was fun to think more in depth about than a few stray thoughts I had about this particular thing, which I didn’t expect to let out so soon, ovob you’re da mvp
