the warners and their interests/special interests, as told by me. because i'm right

so i already have a whole post dedicated to ONE of his special interests, which i declared was academics. but i'm going to focus on his theatre kid-ness and his admiration for shakespeare. in the original series, he's shown acting out two of shakespeare's plays: hamlet, and a midsummer night's dream. he gets offended when the narrator suggests that he doesn't understand what he's saying, and let's be real, he definitely does. it's YAKKO. he sang all the words in the english dictionary for pete's sake. in the reboot, he gets so offended on behalf of shakespeare that he breaks out into a freestyle rap. (and also it goes hard.) i touched on this in my first post, i think yakko would take interest in literature. i think he'd write poems, specifically. think about it. he's so musically inclined, he's so dramatic, it's perfect for him. i think he might write poems that LOOK serious, but really, it's just big words that have silly meanings. i'm not going to try and give an example because i absolutely suck at poetry, but i highly doubt that yakko would.

well, don knotts, obviously. it is the only interest of the warner kids that actually jumps out at you, as it's like? the only thing mentioned? it is a constant of wakko's character! he's also been shown to make silly gadgets, at least once from my memory, and carries his gaggy bag everywhere. besides the elevator. i think he has an interest in engineering, or construction. inventing in general. inventing silly little gizmos. maybe some of his gags were created by him!! it's so cute to think about :) don knotts specifically is definitely a special interest of his though. also i think a hobby of his would be drumming. i think he would do a "ba-dump-tsssst" one day and think, "hm. that was :p that was fun, i should learn how to play these," and he does just that. i think he plays the drums while elvis sings a little ditty. (he keeps elvis in his hat.)

there are only examples of this in the reboot, but women's rights movements. women's history. i think she also likes the horror genre, and takes interest in teen romance novels. she's definitely a gurokawa girl tell me i'm wrong i dare. i think she enjoys fairytales, too. in fact i think she was shown to do so on multiple occasions, although the only one coming to mind is cutie and the beast. i mean, i think it counts. i also think she takes a particular interest in fashion, i think she knows how to sew, knit, AND crochet. i think she also sings heavy metal whenever she's understimulated. specifically heavy metal, like i think she wouldn't be happy until her eardrums were BLEEDING. i think she also takes an interest in poetry. i think she gets it from her brother. we see this a lot in dot's poetry corner, and i think maybe mathterpiece theater could be an example of this on some level. also her, slappy, and hello nurse perform macbeth. *WAIT THAT'S ANOTHER THING. yakko was the one translating in that skit, not dot, like usual, since dot was performing. which proves that yakko DOES know what he was saying while performing the plays. that look of annoyance was DEFINITELY "how DARE you insinuate that? do you think i'm stupid?" instead of "how DARE you reveal me as being stupid?" i don't know if there WAS a lot of confusion on that, but i saw someone say that yakko's rap battle put it into perspective, showing that he does understand? and like... it was just kind of a "ding" in my brain like. did you not know that? and now i realize maybe i'm just autistic. AHAH! JUST LIKE THE WARNERS! the point of my post teehee. and now i'm done i think. GOODNIGHT EVERYBODY!

Kitchen nightmares

All you wanted was to surprise Delia and surprise her you most definitely shall. Delia never spent more than an hour away from the coven, especially when times were tough. Delia was always so worried because of the lack of witches in her coven. These places used to be filled with teeny witches running a muck, but the days were hard when the world seemed so against individuals with any sort of differences.

Today was different, the girls asked Delia to take them shopping and much to their surprise she gladly agreed. She even decided to treat them to a movie afterward - a cheesy romcom. They all begged you to go with them, except for Delia she knew you didn’t like shopping and anything too gaggy romance after her many attempts of begging you when you both first started dating. You politely turned them down, and the wheels were turning in your head plotting the perfect evening for your wife.

You weren’t really the most domesticated woman in the world, but you thought you could hold your own. So, you decided making a lovely dinner for your wife to come home to would be perfect. She was the only one who ever threw down in the kitchen in the coven, she never had anyone making anything for her until now.

As soon as all the girls left the academy, you quickly wrote down a shopping list. You raced to the store to get all the ingredients and a bouquet of white roses.

When you got back home, you set out to try and get all your prep work done. How hard could that be? Harder than you had imagined.

Everything that could possibly go wrong while cooking did. You started off chopping your veggies and with one slip of the knife, “Shit!” You rushed to the sink to clean off your finger, and then remembered your magic and healed it instantly. You huffed as you threw away the ruined contents of the broccoli and went back to cutting up some more.

Things were starting to look up. You had the veg sautéing on the stove. Your steak was sizzling in the pan. All you had left to make was the sauce. That couldn’t be so difficult, and just when you thought things were going better, you were trying to put all the ingredients in the blender to make your sauce you hit start before you remembered to put the lid back on.

As all your hard work was flying all around the kitchen, and you started cussing up a storm you heard a curt, “hmmm” come from behind you.

Your head whipped around so fast, “D-Delia, I didn’t think you’d be home so soon!”

“Oh, darling. What are you doing?” she inquires as she looks around the messy kitchen before shaking her head.

You pout, “I really wanted to do something nice for you! You always work so hard to make sure the academy is always taken care of, these girls have a mother figure they deserve, and you never let our marriage fall through the cracks with such a busy life. I just wanted to do something special for you for once.”

Delia giggles as she walks closer to you, and wipes splattered sauce off your cheek, “Darling I love you and all, but please step out of the kitchen.”

You grumble under your breath. She innocently whispers in your ear, “Besides I can think of better uses for those hands…”

You look at her, “Delia, what did you do with the girls?”

“I gave them the money to go to the movie without me.” she winks at you and takes off running upstairs.

You think to yourself before taking off after her, ‘How did I get so lucky?’

A Look into Gotham Rogue Designs

Part 8: Harleen Quinzel aka Harley Quinn

Ok. So this is going to be difficult. Throughout the days of old comic books and old media, Harley, Ivy, and Selina were kind of sexualized with their costumes. Now their costumes make a bit more sense to their character but back then it was made as a way to sell more comics to guys. A good example of advertising more to guys than others in more "geeky" interests is The UK Playstation 2 Magazines. They started to appeal to the LADS in around the 2000s. Babes, intimate times, and video games with bobs! When the market started to be picked up by a more diverse audience and the magazine went back to normal.

Now the 'sexy designs' are dulled down a bit. A bit. They still dress how their character would dress of course.

Now this is a difficult situation to talk about because of two things.

1. I'm not a huge fan of Harley Quinn as I am a huge fan of Riddler.

And

2. The designs are usually very bad.

Harley is very different and interesting because of her origins. She first appeared in Batman the Animated Series as a way to give Joker a side kick. (There was a side kick before Harl unfortunately called Gaggy or Gagsworth G Gagworthy who was so unpopular that he was killed off.)

The original design was very Harlequin inspired. The ruffles on the neck and wrists are very similar to those designs for harlequin dolls.

This was also the time where the hints of Ivy and Harley being lesbians started to come to light. Saying that it's also where the most disturbing and disgusting part of any Batman media started to come out.

The Toxic relationship between Joker and Harley.

This relationship happened on and off depending on the type of Joker. Sometimes it's ignoring her but sometimes it'll escalate to straight up domestic abuse. And I think that's why Harley became more popular when she started going solo. Teaming up with other villains than Joker.

Anyways. Lego. We all love a good Lego Harley. And Lego Batman doesn't fail in this lane.

Keeping the classic Harley design and colors was always fun considering that it was timeless.

Here's where it gets difficult.

I love the Arkham games. I do. However I hate the designs of the girls.

Arkham Asylum has this Harley which I hate violently. The only good side is the make up.

Then Arkham Knight had this Harley and I also hate it. This is Harley Quinn but Gotham is cold. Why would a woman expose her freshly made muffins in cold weather?

Now Batman: Assault on Arkham Harley isn't that bad. This is a very updated classic Harley and I respect that.

Then Suicide Squad happened. And I'm not the biggest fan of it. Sure, she's crazy with her wardrobe but I honestly don't think shes comfortable in any of the clothes she's in.

Yes, she's interesting to see but sometimes she just looks uncomfortable.

This design is also used in the Harley Quinn show. Which isn't that bad. Not absolutely spectacular but good.

The design is also spliced and used in video games like Injustice. I've never played Injustice cause I'm not that much of someone who grabs a bunch of arcade fighting games, so I can't say a lot about this one.

This Lego Harley is honestly one of my favorite lego designs, she has a similar style to the Lego Batman Movie Harley. Her goth vibes just tie this all together as well.

Who Is This Character?

NO YOU'RE ALL WRONG. IT'S NOT A HARLEY.

This is Echo. She's the stand in for Harley in the Gotham show.

This obviously isn't Harley but I wanted to include her since shes a stand in for Harley. The design is absolutely horrible. I hate the makeup, the hair, even the costume as a whole. I know she's supposed to be insane and this is how she dressed herself but honestly, she looks as if a three year old dressed her.

Look at other insane characters like Jonathan or Jervis or even Jeremiah and Jerome! They are all absolutely NUTS! But their outfits aren't ripped from an old Halloween costume.

Her costume does reference her original design and I actually like that but that doesn't excuse it being one of the worst "Harleys" here.

Now then, I can understand why some peeps like Harley. She's a great character if done right. Does it mean her designs can be better? Yeah. Again, sorry for the unfortunate things about not only her but the other Gotham Girls designs but it's history.

I wanted to talk about Cody, but I think it's time I show some love to my buddies, the Chaotic Warner Trio 💕💕

First of all, they're adorable. But they're super crazy!! I can see why everyone's afraid to take care of them because who knows what they have on their sleeves?? Yakko's going to roast you all day, Dot is gonna be sassy at you, and Wakko is going to grab who knows what in his gaggy bag! (not that gag you nasty LMAOO)

Despite all that, they're all alone in the Water Tower and I feel super bad!! They're still young and wanna live their life happily and I wanna make them happy!! Especially Wakko, Yakko and Dot can handle themselves fine but sometimes Wakko is sometimes swept under the rug and I'm not okay with that!!

As long as I'm looking after them then I'm a happy sister!!
