House problems a-happening which is entertaining by itself so I've been distracted the whole day to actually draw. Basically, the doorknob to my parents' room is being fecky, and it also just so happens that the key to it is missing and there's no spare. It accidentally got locked, so I've spent most of my afternoon picking it (which was unsuccessful, my hands hurt...) And now that my stepdad is home, they're experimenting on it now (the base had to be forced open and turns out, the small piece of it was what locks it in place and just closing the door immediately locks it as if it's an auto-lock).

#aria rants #that doorknob is ridiculously strong that its fascinating honestly. my mom said its imported from overseas plus the fact #that its from waaaay back when. it's older than me basically and IT SHOWS cuz man... i went to search up several lockpicking vids #and even tried out different ways of it with different stuff (no lockpicking tools...) and DAMN its impressively strong #its also the fact that the way the door is made is that the space of the doorknob and the wall is hidden by its frame #so i cant try the card technique. like-- the entire door is anti lockpicking istg whys it built like that. its made of thin wood #i think the fact that its made of wood is a good thing with how ridiculously impressive that doorknob was #its still locking even tho its been forced open by its base + the lil cave by the frame has been dismantled #it gets a small opening and the thing just locks and WONT BUDGE like damn... youre a strong one aintcha?
