oh so my wool duster coat lost a button the other day (I found it), and it tore right out of the fabric. left a dang HOLE. I've reattached that button before, so that's not super surprising. but sewing a patch onto the back side of the wool, without the stitches being visible from the front, takes a little more effort than just slapping a button on.
not helped by the fact that Allen wanted attention and proceeded to hop up on my lap full of coat to curl up against my chest for most of the album I had playing. he was so cozy. I couldn't move him... ;_;
and THEN, I noticed that the topmost button was doing the same thing, so it got a smaller patch and new threads. hopefully this holds a while.
also I finally got the coins out of the hem that have been in there for like 5 years since I repaired the hole in the pocket lmao. I kept forgetting. big coat is so quiet now... no more twinkle bell noises when I walk. u_u
#yes I have opened the bottom hem between then and now to do repairs.
