Thinking back to when I was separated from my hiking group and was all of 15ft away from a black bear. That's what reminded me that I am meat.
#that and the time I almost got fucking bitten by a saltwater crocodile#jackal's journal#like I saw it swimming up towards our boat (I was on an outer seat)#and I was like 'hmm' and scooted the fuck over and shoved some people out the way#then mother fucker lunged up and I heard a big ass snap#not today
