(Previous) "Acid?" Hank tilted his head, curious about what that meant. Hank pulls things out of his pocket. "This is the communicator right?" He holds up the communicator. He continues to rummage through his pocket to find his wallet. He pulls it out and looks inside, "Oh yeah, the ID card! That was on my list of things to do. Yesterday they told me they had already turned off the printer and didn't want to turn it back on so I should come back today." Hank tapped his chin, "I had thought tablets would get checked out when I would actually do the field work so they dont get lost or broken in the meantime."
Huh. Maybe they weren't talking about Captain Tim. But why would they warn a scientist about Lord Hater?
"Yeah, Lord Hater's arachnomorph has acid spit." Commander Peepers let out a sigh. "...I'm trying to tame it but it's... a slow process."
Then he turned to see what Hank pulled out. "That's a communicator all right." If it wasn't overshadowed by bigger issues he'd put the ID card issue in his own to do list. It... really wasn't hard to boot that thing up. Lazy jerks.
"Huh. Maybe they changed the policy?" That sounded inefficient, but maybe they had enough issues with that to make it worth it. "I'll check that out later." Maybe he'd see about ordering some tougher cases for them too.
