you ever have some experiences w something and wanna be able to use it to help ppl who are in a similar situation but just like... dont know how? that's me with law of attraction shit .-.
#its like... a cult... i dont know how i could word things enough for ppl to have a revelation its a misappropriated understanding of dharmic#religions convincing you you'll get everything you want if you just 'be happy'.#that ALONE should be a red flag bc dharmic religions are notoriously known to condemn greed and desire#not bc desire and wealth (specifically) are bad but desire is what leads to suffering as in if you're thinking about the things you want to#much you'll suffer. the problem comes in- with ppl like abraham hicks- is that she kinda reminds you of your desires constantly#and you cant stop thinking about something you keep being reminded to think about. another problem is the promise she makes#that if you do master 'the law of attraction' that you'll get 'everything you want'. but thats just not how this works.#the point of letting go of desire- even if only to meditate- is to let go of suffering. it's not going to suddenly rain material wealth on#you. it will probably make you more grateful for right now instead of constantly longing but that's about it. and thats my problem with her#teachings bc its incredibly misleading to how this all works and ofc she thinks it works shes rich.#it always 'works' for rich people bc all rich people need to do is 'see the opportunities they're missing'#well poor ppl are well aware of what they're missing out on but dont have the money like you to pull out of their ass conveniently#to invest in whatever thing on impulse.#that content istg only exists to wrap people into the 'get rich quick' schemes bc once they get disillusioned and realize the origins#of what shes trying to teach says something completely different but are so hooked on 'fulfilling their desires' and 'getting rich' they'll#just hop to the next thing they see to 'get rich quick'. and still never actually get rich.
