the shorelines around Gros Morne, framed by the distant -almost surreal- Tabletop Mountains, are some of my favourite places in the entire world.
#moi#as in i took these pics from my phone ;_;#i don't have a tag for that yet and i can't think of anything right now#newfoundland#gros morne#ocean#oceany stuff#oceanies#feel goods#my happy place#honestly#it's obviously perpetually windy in this area#thanks to the ocean + tabletop mountain placement combo#and it's glorious#feel like home#cold briny depths#most of these were at “Cow Head”#beautiful lil cove village#gorgeous view#and the people in the hotel we stopped at for bathroom breaks were wonderful#i'm used to getting looks for 1: still wearing a mask and 2: my general everything#so i'm on-guard even here in newfoundland#i had forgotten about the standard newfoundland down-to-clown 'ima talk to you and it's gonna be great' attitude and way of being#which y'know is extremely necessary for living in small settlements isolated as everything is here#it's just... it was surprising and refreshing and relieving and warm#i also suspect Cow Head gets a LOT of tourists#we saw license plates from the states!
