why did you choose your url?

When I was a wee teen and started getting into celtic languages, I found out about Hiraeth in welsh and I loved it to death, it sort of reminded me of saudade in my language. But hiraeth was taken so I just switched the i for y (let's ignore how it'd change the pronunciation shhh). Other word inspired url would have been fernweh. See a pattern there? Yeah.

eeheheh yeeeaah, I have an art blog that I barely ever used because I ended up posting here. And a fic rec blog that I just use as personal fic rec collection.

how long have you been on tumblr?

I joined in my first year of uni, so 2011 and I've been using it pretty consistently ever since

do you have a queue tag?

ah I do! It's massive 10k queue of Liked Posts from hell because for a solid couple of years I just liked stuff on mobile where it went to die in the Likes.I began doing it back when talking over here and sending asks was pretty common so people would know that I wasn't online. And I prefer tagging everything at once instead of as I go, so I prefer doing it this way.

why did you start your blog in the first place?

Hold your pants kids, because it was because of Doctor Who and Sherlock. Eventually Hobbit and Merlin, but it's always been a mess of a blog with a mix of fandom stuff and gifsets and then art/photography/etc.

Even though I'd been reading fanfic for years by then it was the first time I experienced "being" in the same place and interacting with other fans. But I've always kept to my own lane so nothing changed much tbh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

why did you choose your icon/pfp?

because the moment I found out there was a ball joint doll of Michelangelo's David I started laughing, but when I saw photos of the phoses and there was one with David doing a thumbs up I lost it. I've been using thumbs up David ever since

why did you choose your header?

uuuuh I don't have one, and I can't recall if I ever had? I do miss the days when I spent hours fiddling with themes to put snow falling for winter.

what’s your post with the most notes?

I thiiink some Merlin fanart of a Silmarillion shit post? Or maybe the most recent post about the heartbreak of finding out a bookmarked fic had been deleted.

how many people do you follow?

499 but honestly, most of these are probably deactivated and I haven't seen anything by them since like.. 2015. I need to clean up, oops

how often do you use tumblr?

everyday, even if just for a quick scroll on my phone. I've been more on twitter even though I really don't like it, but that's where most content is at nowadays T_T

did you have a fight/argument with a blog once? who won?

oh there was something back in the first months of creating a tumblr and it was mega random, bc I was replying to a portuguese mutual and replying in portuguese in the tags, but apparently on of the words offended a random american so that was fun. I had fun replying, I'm pretty sure they didn't enjoy reading it.

how do you feel about ‘you need to reblog this post’?

nothing makes me scroll past faster, my eyes roll so hard I almost astral project and the Spite rises in me.

do you like tag games?

yes, they're fun! And those asks games too!

which of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous?

Nowadays no clue because tumblr engagement and usage changed so much and I just have no clue how it goes in their blogs. But I'm mutuals with some artists and writers that are pretty popular, so maybe they are! I just don't know ^^'

do you have a crush on a mutual?

No crushes in anyone, I miss having crushes :(

my phone bg and lockscreen:

I'm one of those people that haaaaate people in backgrounds, so I usually just use photos I took.

Currently it's a photo of the Baptistery of Saint John in Florence in the lock screen, and a detail from the Church of S. Tiago (romanesque church) in Coimbra. Going for that high contrast with some golden/yellows.
