in the newest mha chapter in the scene with the new unknown character A few people suggested that the scissors were actually cutting off the fingertips of the character. What are your thoughts on that?

ooooh because their fingers are darkened when we see their hands?

honestly they don't look that cut to me? If they were they'd be bleeding and we'd see a trail on the wall I think. Also, they maybe wouldn't want to be touching anything, but it's possible they have some kind of resistance to pain.

i personally think whatever they were cutting is either their hair (less likely) or whatever this is :

that is muzzling them and potentially previously holding them tied somewhere. or their restraints, whatever they are.

Like he’d be able to feel singing technique and his partner lets him try to feel it out more but obviously he doesn’t see it, he just notices how flustered they are. i also went ahead and closed my asks so i can answer the rest of these through out the week without spamming too much or letting my inbox get too full bc that easily overwhelms me and i think the amount i have rn is perfect!

matthew was always so enamored with your voice. it was partially what drew him so close to you- that and the fact that foggy’s heart rate had never sped up so fast before. hell, even karen’s heart fluttered when you first walked into josie’s bar.

you and your band had taken your time setting up, going through a short sound check and some rearranging of the stage before you stepped up to the mic. you gathered the attention of everyone to introduce each of your band members and yourself before starting on the first song. a few covers and a few original songs were played before your set was over and matt couldnt help but feel disappointed it was over so fast.

the whole bar seemed to be in love with you and it was lucky on his part that you suddenly appeared next to him to order a cocktail. he started talking before he even realized it.

“you guys sounded great up there, especially the lead.” he grinned, turning to face you a little more comfortably.

“oh, thank you!” he could hear the flutter in your heart as you looked at him.

“are you the lead? i uh… i cant exactly tell.” he laughed, waving his hand in front of his face for emphasis.

you giggled and nodded, taking your drink and stealing the seat next to him. “yeah, thats me! most people think addison is the lead since she plays the guitar. theres not a lot of lead bassists out there.”

the conversation had flowed smoothly, leading to him buying you another cocktail- your favorite, a salty dog, one he had never heard of but was inclined to try if it meant meeting up with you again. numbers were exchanged and a date had been set for next week by the end of the night.

he replayed that night at the bar as he listened to you humming to yourself as you sat cross legged on his arm chair, plucking at the strings of your bass. his apartment was slowly taken over by your things; mainly instruments and music theory or music history books, the occasional pedal board or guitar stand. his closet was split in half and you had filled up your side. he had already tripped over a few amps on his way to the bathroom at night.

you ran through the opening riff to a song matt hadnt heard yet, muting the note a little too early and shifting in your seat. “what are you thinking about?”

“me?” matt asked, turning his head towards you.

“yeah.” you laughed, setting your bass on its stand to come sit in his lap. “you have that look on your face. your thinking face.”

matt laughed, letting you settle down in his lap as he wrapped his arms around you. “my thinking face?”

“just answer my question!” you huffed playfully, tugging his hood onto his head and pulling the strings.

he swatted your hands away with a laugh, tugging the hood back open. “i was just thinking about when we first met.”

you inwardly cringed, thinking back to six months ago. “god, i sounded awful back then.”

“you did not!” matt laughed, pinching your side as you started to protest. “yeah, you've definitely improved over the months, i can hear it, but that doesnt mean you sounded bad.”

you squinted at him playfully, swatting his hand away as he went to pinch you again. “those vocal exercises have been working like crazy.”

he nodded in agreement, his hand settling around your throat to feel the vibrations as you talk. “your voice has definitely gotten more powerful. you have more control, too.”

you hummed, cheeks flushed as his fingers twitched against your skin. “yeah.” you breathed out in agreement, ignoring your heart pounding against your chest.

“you know, your voice feels nice.”

“it feels nice?”

matt laughed slightly, shrugging. “yeah. the vibrations when you sing? i can usually feel them. through the air or the floor, either way, it feels nice.”

“i always forget my boyfriend has superpowers.”

“they're not superpowers.” he chuckled, thumb rubbing slightly against the side of your neck. “can you sing for me?”

youve sang in front of matt plenty of times. you honestly sang more than anything else, but him asking suddenly had you nervous. not only do you have to sound good, but now you have to feel good too?

“you don't have to.” he said after a beat of silence, “save your voice for your gig tomorrow, i’ll hear it then.”

“you’re coming tomorrow?”

“of course, i wouldn't miss it for the world.”

you grinned at that, leaning down to kiss him as you felt giddy with excitement. he hadnt missed a single gig since you both started seeing each other, but the excitement of him being there never left.

his fingers tightened around your throat mid-kiss, causing your cheeks to heat up again as you pulled away. matt’s face was equally as warm, his head tilting as a smirk tugged at the corners of his mouth.

“you know, you look good with my hand around your throat.” he hummed, squeezing ever so slightly for emphasis.

“how can you tell?” you teased, your own hand subconsciously coming up to rest on top of his.

“i just know.” he chuckled, pulling you back down to kiss you again. “bedroom?”

-i'm like half certain i've heard this commentary before. maybe not the whole way through & it was probably actual years ago

-nice hearing stuff like this. in-depth personal view of the album-making process. makes it seem like more of a real thing i could do myself someday

-i love hearing musical artists, especially neil cicierega, talking about the meanings of their songs. like, not only has this song been claimed to hell & back by the tumblr gays, but with later ones i just can't see where he gets these ideas from. also, claiming there's any one meaning or plot to a song just seems silly to me

-shoutout to neil reusing a midi from like, 1998, that he made at 12 years old, whose entire melody was reused for the main verses of everybody loves raymond. loved finding that out on my own 2 years ago. now it's common trivia in this fandom. not bad times

-i've never heard rush before however i disagree with neil's understanding of 6/4. 6/4 is meant to have emphasis (onbeat or another term i can't remember) on the 1st & 4th beat of every measure, which is greatly different from a measure of 4/4 then a measure of 2/4. it's why his 5/4 always sounds weird, because while it's recognizable in sequences of 10/4, it's more 2 measures of 4/4 with one of 2/4 tacked on the end. that's also how it's different from 3/4. i don't know much music theory but what i do understand i will fight to the death about

-like, his whole stance on interpreting songs is something i agree with almost entirely. you can take it at face value, you can dig to their very depths, you can listen to songs without caring what the lyrics mean whatsoever, and those are all fun. & yeah while any of these people can be annoying as one of the types who enjoys gliding on the surface more than anything i find those who dedicate themselves to figuring out the whole meaning of a song over anything else to be both slightly scary & slightly annoying <3 keep up the good work

I scrolled through the article 3 times to reexamine the picture of the nails...

Abu tells me: it's there it wasn't a disappearing picture!

I remember when we went with Queen Elizabeth II

And she had told me we were gonna go watch them excavate coffins... No one else pays attention to a little old lady in a plane full of rambunctious boys. Except me.

So when we got there jesse tells me "hey you know everything, what's inside these?" And he got distracted by kids and had to yell turned back to me and said "huh whats these all about huh kid what? Tellll me!"

"Bones" and i walked away and he got to me and said "those are big bones"

I looked at the coffins and said "not really. They look to be normal size" cause the coffins were normal sized although tall but we were talking bones not fat which was all gone already...

So he was all bugging "so they're WHALE?!?!!?"

The Queen whisked by me giggling and I didn't know why...

Me: we're mammals! Think! What's wrong with you anyways?!!? You got too much airplane food?!?!

The Queen is in the corner hiding her mouth with her hand and just laughing and laughing do hard! She sounds like she's wheezing from the dirt and dust.

Jesse: is the quee ok?

Me: yes she's okay just a bit coughy. But there's noting wrong with her. Go on and look. [He starts towards the queen] at the box, dummy

Jesse: look i need to stsrt getting a little respect around here i aint her roayl highness majesty but i am an adul-- what?

Me: you really think the box is made of bone?

"See these are all wooly mammoth coffins! Come look!"

"Jesse i thought all these caskets in these here tombs were all about rocks?"

Jesse looked at me

I shrugged palms up "Idk all the people left? Or maybe they were evil and had to have rocks piled on top of them!!" I ran towards the sunny door way because I don't make shit up, usually and the Queens smile was getting me to giggle and if she winked again id lose it.

Jessse: did you hear her? She was just repeating what i told her earlier. What im thinking here is all these are filled with Gold!! Because these people were the best and wanted to take all the gold with them! Here let's lift the lid off.

Queen: oh no! I don't mess with wooly mammoth bones. Human's only!!

Jesse: well, ill fond someone queen this will be amazing. I'll be right back. Keep an eye on the kids.

The queen stepped outdoors with me and we giggled ourselves silly until he returned.

He came out shortly and said he had help but the Queen said she needed help up the excavation laddar to get the boys and girls from the park and have lunch/supper.

He asked if he could continue with the coffins... She giggled.i told him she had said sure

So while upstairs picning in the grass... Alex, William and Jabar in the trees eating. William climbed down and said Jesse bad a wheel barrow

So i was sent to scout... It was empty.. So i returned to report the news

But William had seen it was full so he went around the corner, looked down and saw the ladder on the ground and the rocks piled down in.

Upon his report the Queen looked alarmed. I told her "don't worry. He told the kids a billion times how fragile everything is so he knows not to bother with to damage but also hes doing something stupid. Don't worry it will be fun. Always is"

The Queen decided to change from her usual dress and to put on slacks. Yes she ladders in heels and dress and hats and gloves and even a scarf from time to time.

"Think they're ready enough?"

"Oh you look nice. I like the blouse. I really like the polka dots. Come on boys. Youll need to drop the ladder for us ladies, shes old and privileged, I'm young and stout with a bad back. And come on jabar you can hold my hand like a good boy.... Or not" as he ran past us to tap William on the shoulder... But then he doubled back after telling William he was going to walk with me and the Queen.

At the pit as we called it we hollered for Jesse and we heard scrambling and rocks dropping and sounding like they were breaking.

"Like ice in a glass" said the Queen in a giggle

"JESSE! HEY GET YOUR ASS IN HERE! WE NEED HELP DOWN!"

"Yeah well we need the ladder!!"

"THERE AINT ONE!!"

Jesse looked pale

"Idk ask one of the kids. See if you can climb down" he caught me on his shoulder as i slid down the wall "you gotta see what i did kid i think i messed up... There was a body..."

I heard the Queen shouting i stopping to motion them to get the ladder and to climb down and ESP my twin not to jump

"You coming?"

"What? Yeah"

"So i took the body out and put all the rocks in here But they sure aren't gold. Why is your eye twinkling? Is it okay? I mean. I did good right?!?"

"Was it a real body?!?!"

"Yeah!! See! And i covered it with a tarp!".

"Let,me,see! Let me,at her!!"

He led me around the corner of the coffin and I lifted the tarp... I noticed it getting darker slowly from the doorway light then it was completely dark. I looked up. Everyone gathered in the doorway, shocking Jesse into a startle as he stood behind me rubbing my lower back. I dropped the tarp stepped back quietly, closed my eyes and bowed to the queen once to notify her the body looked undamaged.

She giggled... Jesse continued his speech and she couldn't help but burst out full blown hee haww

Jesse was all telling us how thrilling and masculine his discovery was and how if we left the room and went into the other chambers he would remove the rocks and put them in the wheelbarrow upstairs and discover a body completely undisturbed by the weight of the rocks!!

The boys eyes were in awe... The actors anyways... As we had all laid/sat in the grass telling the story of Jesse downstairs.

"But Jesse!! The rocks!! There's too many!! How on Earth did you get the lid off and so,many rocks appear? Did the lid break"

"They just popped up like popcorn! And the lid os here under this tarp safe and sound. See your majesty? Its perfect. We were very gentle. But this. This is magic!"

"Oh okay boys come on lets get through with the show" she was unpleased but tolerant.

"But Jesse you're like magic!! This! Look guys! Wait! I found a nail to the coffins! The Whale bone coffin!!"

2 boys had to laugh... And it started a train of giggles.

"I bet this one nail held this entire room of coffins together by itself!! And when you opened this one coffin! Just this one! It popped out! Amazing! Unbelievable!"

Everyone began to walk out..

"Thanks kid, know I love ya!"

"I know im appreciated!" I threw my arms ib the air and skipped to catch up with Everyone else.

I went into the next chamber which was filled with anger. We blew it out like dust and sat down and I said what i saw of the body and then we discussed theories and ideas of what the room we were in used to be. We discovered it used to be a home. And we were in the kitchen.

On the way home we of course had to wait for Jesse to load the last of the plane including his rocks that might turn to gold had said the Queen.

One of the protective squad mentioned how stupid and disappointing and annoying that Jesse James character is and how he almost ruined the entire tomb, disturbed a body, could have killed the Queen whom didn't want use the ladder, carried her on his shoulder, and on and on. So angry, bitter and adult like.

We all agreed and I looked around the plane, let out a great exhale of air and said "yeah and it was the best day ever!"

This man whom hadnt winked, snorted, giggled or even grinned the entire day snorted then suddenly he collapsed in his chair and began laughing, slow shoukder shaking at first then into insanity of hilarity. Then he bent around the back of his chair and said "thanks for being the best boss ever!!"

And for the first time in quite awhile, Ms Queen Elizabeth II blushed.

MELODY

MELODY had been to the lantern festival a couple times. Once last year and another when her trip to visit conceded with the festival and she always loved it. So much so that she had built up the courage to ask Jasmine to come with her. She wanted the other girl to see it with her. For them to let their lanterns float and even though it put a blush on her cheeks Melody was more than excited for this night.

Even while she sat crossed legged on the grass staring at the lantern. "Yours looks good already." Melody offered taking a cheeky little look over at Jasmine's. "I tried to plan but now I cant decide of my plans." Half of her wished she could draw a mermaid if she was honest. @leanobeano

JASMINE was honestly excited to head to the lantern festival. The fact that Melody wanted her to come with her made it that much better. It was amazing to be able to go to one of these places with a girl she was interested in. It made it all that much more magical.

She blinked, surprised as she glanced up from where she had been carefully making the queen chess piece on her lantern. "Oh...thank you. I mean it's...a work in progress. I want to get as many colors on it as I can. But maybe I should shape it first. What do you think?" @Ashley

Melody smiled up at Jasmine because even if it was a work in progress melody thought it was pretty. And it gave her an excuse to not pay attention to her own drawing. Or lack there of one. 

"If you make a strong outline the colour should just slip right in. And you can always fix the outline after if the colour drifts a little. " melody offered with a shrug. Little ideas slipping into her own mind now that she was thinking of colour. @leanobeano

JASMINE hummed. "Oh...that's a good idea. I want to make sure the shape is still pretty clear..." Even if people might not understand why she did the outline she did, it meant something to her. And that was what mattered in that sense.

"What about you? What are you putting on your lantern there?" @Ashley

MELODY nodded glancing at the chess piece. She didnt know which one it was but she at least knew of it. "I think it will be. Plus I'll help you fix it if it isn't as clear. I promise." And melody already had an idea of what to do if needed. If only her mind was so clear for herself. 

"I dont know. I was thinking maybe a sea motif. Start with a few sea shells and move on from there. I want to at least do a gradient of blues if I dont do the sea thing." @leanobeano

JASMINE smiled. "Well you are a real gift," she informed Melody, delighted by the offer of help. "and an artist from what I remember right? Getting help from an expert."

She tilted her head as she worked at the outside frame of it, careful with each line. "A sea motif. That sounds beautiful." @Ashley

MELODY'S cheeks turned a touch pink but smiled. "Its only a hobby so not too much of an expert but I can handle a few straight lines. " melody explained with a shrug focusing back on her own starting to draw the outline of one shell on the bottom.

"My brother and I used to collect them. I have a whole box full of them actually. Places we travelled to when I was younger." @leanobeano

"Hey now, more expert than me," JASMINE pointed out helpfully as she started to add a little color, now that the basic frame was set up. "A collection of seashells? That sounds lovely. What do you do with them? I mean you could decorate with them couldn't you?" @Ashley

MELODY scrunched her nose at Jasmine at the tease even if she appreciated it. "Yeah some people do. MELODY pursed her lips before she shook her head. " a story for another time but I dont think I'm ready to bring them out of there box." Meldoy admitted before putting a smile back on her face. "What about your chess piece? Is that uh I dont know which one it is." @leanobeano

JASMINE hummed. "Okay...well this one..." she debated for a minute and then shrugged. "It's the queen. A powerful piece on the chess board. That's the kind of person I'd like to be." @Ashley

MELODY pursed her lips and nodded. "Right if you take the queen you've basically won right? I've never tried to play." @leanobeano

JASMINE nodded. "That's right. The Queen's powerful. Much more than the king, which i think is amazing." @Ashley

"You know I think that's pretty much right for situations even now." MELODY tempted. "It shouldn't matter and what not but like I think that a queen should be able to be as powerful or more powerful especially without someone by their side." @leanobeano

JASMINE hummed, just opening her mouth to go into the Queen thing a little more in depth when she heard a shout that chilled her to her core. "Princess Jasmine! Your highness I know you are in this town. Come out now!" She flinched, ducking her head behind the lantern. "Shit. I...I think I should go..." @Ashley

  MELODY

MELODY'S head popped up unlike Jasmine's and she looked for the source of the sound before glancing at Jasmine again. She knew a little. She remembered some of it from that dream. Enough that she could make an assumption. 

And if she was right then she needed to do something. "Stay here for a second." Melody murmured pushing herself up and putting the lantern down.

"Excuse me did I hear you correctly? You're looking for princess Jasmine?" @leanobeano

 JASMINE

JASMINE's eyebrows furowed. "But-" she started, before she ducked down, the advisor turning toward Melody as she spoke. God her heart was pounding like crazy. This wasn't supposed to happen. All she wanted was a good night with a beautiful girl.

The advisor turned to face Melody. *"Yes. Have you seen her? I know her to be residing in this town. I must find her as soon as possible." @Ashley

 MELODY

MELODY nodded before pursing her lips. "Well maybe? You see my friend is super into history and she thought she had found the princess. You know conspiracy theories and everything but that couldnt be right because why would a princess come here. Sure you know there is that elena girl which I mean is an interesting story on it's own considering shes on the run and yet everyone knows shes here. It's amazing you know nothing else has happened. " melody rambled with a shrug. "But yeah so we saw this girl and my friend is super certain it's her and well now I can't help but looking around to see if shes around and long story short I'm pretty sure I saw her heading into townhall when I was walking here. Oh do you know how to get to town hall?" Melody offered trying to give her most innocent smile. @leanobeano

 JASMINE

The royal advisor started to cross his arms within a few seconds of the girls rambling, and then that became a full on glare as Melody kept rambling. It was a genius move. JASMINE was utterly in awe of the girl as she hid behind a few of the lanterns. "Miss if you could quickly tell me the way to town hall. I don't care for any of your stories, just which way?" @Ashley

 MELODY

MELODY smiled brighter at the mans glare but she wanted to act like she hadnt even noticed. She was just this really helpful girl. 

"That's awfully rude. I really just wanted to help. I mean look out into this crowd. You're screaming into the air about a lost princess. And no one else came up to you. And you know I've been so much help that you should definitely let me know when you find her. I'll be here all night since it's the lantern festival and its such a beautiful night. My seven cousins will be here too. Plus my parents and my uncle. It's a big family event." Melody explained smiling brighter. "Oh yeah town hall. Okay so you have to go straight till you hit the tree with the wobbly branch then turn left onto the yellow bricks. Get to the end of the street and turn left. Walk alllll the way down and look for the big building there's also a wobbly stone infront of it so please be careful." Melody explained. @leanobeano

The advisor just turned and started in the direction the girl had suggested, determined to find the lost princess of Agrabah. And of course, the man had no patience at all for Melody's rambling. Once he was sufficiently out of sight, JASMINE popped up from her hiding place, moving immediately over to her date. "I can't believe...that was amazing Melody! I really...thank you. Thank you for doing that." @Ashley

 MELODY

MELODY almost immediately covered her mouth trying to hide her giggles. She was surprised too that she lasted that long but she got made when people tried to mess with people she cared about and jasmine fell within that now.  "I cant believe that worked oh my gosh." Melody murmured still laughing. @leanobeano

"That was genius," JASMINE informed the girl, a smile lighting up her entire face as she made her way closer to her. "Really...I can't thank you enough for what you've done for me. That was...that was really impressive." @Ashley

  MELODY

MELODY blushed at the compliment dropping her hands letting the pink tinge be visible as she smiled at Jasmine, taking the other girl's hand. "I like to think I can protect the people I care about." Melody explained trying to focus on Jasmine's eyes and not letting her own drift down to the girl''s lips as her own heart pounded. "You're absolutely stunning when you smile like that." @leanobeano

"And it...doesn't bother you that I haven't explained?" JASMINE couldn't help but question, even as she gently squeezed Melody's hand. "I mean I...I appreciate it. I..." she could feel her own cheeks heat a little herself. She was so used to being the one to flirt and to throw the compliments, she was somehow caught off guard when it was reversed. "You're sweet.  How did I get so lucky to meet a girl who was this sweet?" @Ashley

 MELODY

MELODY shook her head stepping closer. "I know you have your reasons. You can tell me the story when you're ready." Melody doubted she was in danger and like she had said before she had done some research, there just wasn't a friend part of it because Melody didn't want to spill a secret that wasn't hers. Especially one she was guessing about. "But just so you know, it doesn't change anything for me." Melody offered leaning up trying to give Jasmine enough time to pull back if she wanted to pull back. But she was still running on the confidence that she had done that and she wanted to feel out how much she could get away with. If maybe she could kiss her. @leanobeano

JASMINE wasn't used to being the one caught off guard. But here she was, overwhelmed with how...patient Melody was with her. And just how...well how sweet. It didn't bother her that Jasmine hadn't shared everything yet. Why didn't it bother her? "Nothing at all?" She questioned, though apparently the answer was really clear as Melody leaned in, and a smile spread across Jasmine's face once again as she leaned in to meet Melody in the middle and kiss her gently. @Ashley

It didn't change anything at all because MELODY had her own secrets. Secrets that one day she hoped to share with someone but couldn't. So she understood it in some regard. And really her biggest thing was that she wasn't putting the people she care about in danger. So she was okay, She was more than okay. Even with her heart beating out of her chest when Jasmine closed the distance and kissed her and Melody didn't hesitate to return it. "I was going to be the one to kiss you." Melody murmured gently with her eyes still closed almost hiding but not. @leanobeano

A giggle escaped JASMINE before she could keep it in. She couldn't help herself. "Oh alright then. If you want to kiss me go ahead." She closed her eyes and puckered her lips, a little teasingly, but well intentioned. What? She liked kissing Melody. If Melody wanted a go herself, why not? @Ashley

MELODY giggled at the puckered lips but she didn't let that stop her. Nope. Melody set her hand on Jasmine's cheek tried to rein in her smile. And when that didn't work she brought Jasmine in for another kiss.  @leanobeano

JASMINE's grin didn't really go away, especially not as Melody drew her in for a kiss. She kept her eyes closed, focusing on the feeling, reaching out so she could wrap an arm around Melody. "You sure have some moves Melody. I am more and more impressed." @Ashley

MELODY giggled at that moving to hide her face in Jasmine's shoulder. "I'm not sure they can be called moves but I suppose I'll take the compliment, princess." Melody teased with a little raised eyebrow. @leanobeano

"Oh dear, now the cat's out of the metaphorical bag, you'll be calling me that any time huh?" She shook her head, though the fact that Melody hadn't left had JASMINE so awed she couldn't really complain. "I suppose I can give you a full introduction now hmm?" She grinned, leaning in just to plant a light kiss to Melody's lips again. "I'm Princess Jasmine Fatima Malva Bera Al-Saleh of Agrabah. It's lovely to kiss you." @Ashley

"If I'm allowed to I think I'll make sure to use it." MELODY teased before she was left blinking at the many names. So Jasmine really was the princess of Agrabah. What a turn of events this was because Melody until this moment was still just guessing and making assumptions. "However you're only getting Princess Jasmine out of me.  It'll take me a little longer to know all your names." Melody mused lifting her head from the other's shoulder. @leanobeano

"I suppose you are. I certainly won't stop you," JASMINE replied with a grin. It felt good to be able to say her full title again. And to have Melody be okay with it and the lie she'd given before then. Jasmine couldn't believe how insanely lucky she was. "Fine, I accept. Though I should think the Fatima one should be at least somewhat familiar," she remarked with a small smile, though she shook her head. "Call me whatever you want. I'm just glad you're not angry with me." @Ashley

"Well yes Fatima is one that I am used to." MELODY mused shaking her head as she squeezed Jasmine's hand pulling them back to their abandoned lanterns. "Everyone has secrets and stories. Heaven knows I have some too. So I can be patient until you're okay to tell me everything. I don't ever want to push someone, you know?" Melody explained. "I can't be angry about you protecting yourself." She could just hope Jasmine wouldn't be mad one day if she found out. @leanobeano

JASMINE allowed herself to be drawn back to their lanterns, awed and pleased to be holding Melody's hand and be able to keep the relationship they'd had together. "I do know...but I...I also want to tell you about it. I do. Really. I want to be able to tell you about where I've come from." @Ashley

"You can tell me tonight if you want?" MELODY offered, "We can ditch this and I dunno go somewhere quieter that he won't find you. Or we can continue with the lanterns tonight?" @leanobeano

"I...you know what, I think I'd really like that. Just the two of us? We could take our lanterns with us, launch them somewhere that no one will notice us," JASMINE suggested. "Make the night ours." @Ashley

"Yeah I'm good with that." Picking up their supplies MELODY glanced around spotting her cousins off doing their own things. "As long as we avoid town hall we should be good." Melody wasn't sure what other place would be good. Without the forest, and with the lake being used. "Maybe the park?" @leanobeano

"The park would be a wonderful choice. Just like our first date," JASMINE reminded her, a bright smile on her face as she started away from the lake, still gripping onto Melody's hand. "If only I had all the picnic stuff again." @Ashley

"It seems like I just want to unconsciously mimic it." MELODY mused with a shrug swinging her free arm back and forth, letting the lantern move and twist in her hand. "Sparkling cider, only this time right?" @leanobeano

 JASMINE

"Ah you remembered. Yes. Sparkling cider is a good choice. Hmm....should we get something to toast to for tonight before we head to the park? Or is that unnecessary?" JASMINE questioned as they walked, already thinking about how she could make things nicer for Melody. She couldn't help it. It was the first time in a while she'd been able to be out on a date, and the first in her life as Princess Jasmine, most determined lesbian. @Ashley

"Why not? Sparkling cider, lanterns, I'd say that's something to celebrate. Especially if by the end of this night I could be calling you my girlfriend?" Melody asked though she was scared to be the one to put a label on it. Except she didn't think either one of them were into anything but relationship. They weren't just play things to each other. @leanobeano

  JASMINE

If anyone ever said Melody had no game, they were clearly idiots. Jasmine was finding herself wide eyed and stunned. She even had to stop for a minute to process just what the girl was saying. "You're serious? Okay...okay we need more than cider. We need to get....blankets and maybe a dessert so I can kiss my new girlfriend under the stars." @Ashley

Of course she was serious? Melody didn't go around just kissing anyone. and she didn't want Jasmine off kissing anyone. The thought of it would break her heart. She thought Jasmine hadn't liked her at one point and it broke her heart so now she just needed to know where they stood. And apparently that meant Melody had a girlfriend.

"Then what are we doing standing here? Off to castle suites?" Melody laughed running alongside her girlfriend to the apartments. @leanobeano

Jasmine laughed right along with her, running back toward the apartments and completely forgetting all about the man who had come to find her. In this moment there was nothing and no one but Jasmine and Melody.

It didn't take long to get to the suites, and she paused by the stairs only so she could draw Melody in for a little kiss again. "Your floor or mine? Wait...I have the cider still." @Ashley

 MELODY

Melody couldn't help the laugh when Jasmine kissed her again and wow her cheeks were starting to hurt. She even lifted her hand to press against her cheek.... then smacking herself in the cheek with the lantern.

"That didn't happen." Melody quickly stated hiding behind the lantern. "Yours is technically closer? Or you can get the cider and I can get the blankets at mine?" @leanobeano

A giggle escaped Jasmine despite herself. She felt like she was floating in a sense, like she could float away with happiness. This only solidified the surety that she could never in no sense of the word kiss a man like this. There was nothing like this feeling.

"I saw nothing," Jasmine replied with a laugh, glancing away with a grin. "Hmm...good idea. We part ways, meet back right here." She squeezed Melody's hand and reluctantly pulled away so she could hurry and grab cider and some glasses. The sooner she did it, the faster she'd be back with Melody and holding her hand. @Ashley

Melody didn't want to take too long, that would be the worse thing now. She hurried up to her own floor tumbling inside grabbing a fluffy blanket bundling up the entire thing in her arms instead of folding it up perfectly like she probably should have. And somewhat precariously placed her lantern at the top of the bundle.

With a confirmation her door was locked again Melody all but ran back to the elevator tapping her foot until she was one floor lower and the doors opened to Jasmine's floor. This night didn't even feel real and right now Melody was sure unless she saw Jasmine's smile she would keep doubting it was real. @leanobeano

Jasmine raced to grab the cider and the glasses herself, her own lantern haphazardly in hand as well as she rushed back toward the elevator. She was just in time for the doors to swing open and for her to spot her girlfriend standing in it. Wow.

"You are so beautiful," Jasmine murmured, rushing in and clumsily pushing the button to get back to the ground floor. @Ashley

  MELODY

There went Melody's cheeks again, grinning so brightly that it was hurting her cheeks again.  She had a girlfriend. she had a girlfriend. Oh gosh there were going to be so much family that would have to know. And that worried her because what if Jasmine didn't want to be part of any of that.

"Not as beautiful as you." Melody whispered refusing to let that thought ruin their night. @leanobeano

"No, I'm sorry...but you see my new girlfriend is absolutely the prettiest girl in the world," Jasmine argued with a cheeky grin, drawing close again. It was a shame her hands were full, otherwise she'd take Melody's again. As it was, she'd settle for being close to her. @Ashley

Summary: Tony Stark always knew about Peter Parker. He didn’t know that Peter was going to get superpowers and become Spider-Man, but he always knew about Peter because Peter was his son.

This will span from pre-Iron Man up through the rest of the MCU (eventually including Infinity War) and will be for the most part canon compliant except where I’ve taken some liberties and interpreted canon a certain way.

Chapter One Hundred Seven

They never found out what had been going on with Loki and Thor because nothing came of their appearance and then disappearance because aside from a blip somewhere in Ireland that wasn’t necessarily them, there was nothing and while Tony waited for the other shoe to drop and something crazy to happen somewhere else in the world, nothing did.

“So, do you think he was just popping in for a visit and didn’t even think to stop by here?” Rhodey asked during a team meeting.

“I don’t know,” Tony said. “And there’s no way to contact him. I called up Jane and she -- well, apparently they broke up sometime before he left the last time and she didn’t have a way to contact him anyway which is sort of why they broke up.”

“But nothing’s happened right,” Sam said. “I mean, no random Asgardians have shown up so--”

“Not since then,” Tony said. “At least not that my satellites picked up anyway. But Coulson or Fury would have mentioned if they heard anything.”

Tony kept paying attention, but nothing outside of the usual happened. Ross’ announcement that Spider-Man was Tony’s son had been a small blip that most people didn’t pay attention to despite all the pictures that Ross had managed to get of Spider-Man coming and going from the tower. Mostly, he just sounded like a conspiracy theorist especially after Tony tweeted that his son was definitely not Spider-Man and that the theory had made Steve laugh. Still, he was sure some people did believe Ross’ story. It was also a concern that Ross was clearly keeping an eye on the tower.

There was a whole thing with the resurgence of AIM in the middle of August but it was such a disorganized mess that they didn’t get very far in even setting themselves up as a threat and Tony had them all rounded up and arrested in the course of an afternoon.

By the time that the summer was actually over, Tony was starting to relax on the Thor front. Peter on the other hand was a tad disappointed that he hadn’t gotten to meet the god yet. It turned out that next to Iron Man, Thor was Peter’s favorite.

“He’s an actual god,” Peter had said, “but also an alien. And just cool. He’s just so cool.”

Sam found the whole thing amusing. “Your kid has good taste at least,” he said, “if he had to crush on any of us.”

“It’s not a crush! I just -- he’s a god, Sam! And the lightning--” Peter trailed off as Sam laughed and Tony tried not to join in.

“He is seriously impressive,” Natasha said in Peter’s defense.

“Yes, exactly,” Peter said.

“Which is why you had a crush on him,” Sam said matter of factly and Peter threw up his arms in the air and Tony knew that he had figured out he couldn’t really say much else to make a difference to the conversation. Mostly, though, Tony loved the level of ease that Peter had with the rest of The Avengers.

But when Peter’s birthday came around, Tony decided that they needed to go on a mini-vacation. Not to get away from anyone, but because Tony wanted to spend some time on his own with Peter away from wedding planning and everything else that was going on at the tower. They went to California because Peter had never been to the West Coast and because Peter had also been interested in seeing the rebuilt Malibu house. It was fun to show Peter around and take him to a few of Tony’s favorite spots. All in all, their vacation was a nice break from the usual. They got back after a couple of weeks away and right in time for Peter to get back to school and Tony to move forward with the new suit. Everything was ready and Tony just needed to have the housing unit put in his chest.

On the night before school was starting up again, Peter was leaning against Tony’s side. There was a movie on, but Tony had long given up on watching it because the plot had changed so drastically that the movie was downright silly and either way, Tony had gotten busy answering emails because Pepper couldn’t understand why Tony was delegating everything to do with SI for the next week or two. Tony still hadn’t told her that he was going to be putting in the housing unit for the nanotech in his chest. He and Shuri both agreed that it was the only way to make it as effective as Tony wanted it to be.

“Is it going to be a long operation?” Peter asked.

Tony looked down at him. “A few hours.”

“I don’t like that I’ll be in school and I won’t be here.”

The whole thing with Thor had really hastened Tony to get the device ready faster. He wanted to be prepared for the next time something happened and things would have been dire if Thor’s return had signaled the beginning of something being wrong. Sure, Tony had his other suits, but the nanotech one was going to be better than any other. Steve and Peter for their part thought that he knew best despite the risk that the surgery would bring him.

“You’ll be here plenty,” Tony assured him. “Nothing is going to go wrong. I have the best doctors on this and we have a good plan for how we’re handling this.”

“Dr. Cho is pretty great,” Peter said with a grin.

Tony wrapped his arm around Peter’s shoulders and pulled him closer. “So why did you want to watch this movie again?”

“Ned recommended it,” Peter muttered. “I don’t think I’ll be taking his advice on movies again any time soon.”

Tony laughed. “On that we can agree, kid.”

Steve didn’t argue with Tony once Tony decided that he needed to get the housing unit put into his chest. It was Tony’s body and Tony’s decision and while Steve did voice his questions and got Tony to think about the pros and cons, he left it up to Tony because Tony knew best when it came to his suits. The device was different than the arc reactor, anyway, in that it wasn’t working to keep Tony alive. Looking at the ring with the shrapnel that had almost killed Tony, reminded Steve of how much Tony had gone through and survived.

He was with Tony during the operation, holding his hand while Dr. Cho and her team worked on Tony with a combination of Dr. Cho’s tech and Shuri’s as well. It brought down the risk for the procedure considerably. When it was over a few hours later and the whole thing was successful, Steve let out a sigh of relief.

“Good,” he said.

The whole thing was taking place in the compound since the facility had a medical wing and Tony had gone ahead and added an operating room to it too. It meant that Tony was going to be staying at the compound for a few days even if that was more of a precaution than anything, but it was better for him to not have to travel to the tower while fresh out of his operation. Steve had insisted on being there so his anklet was off. The FBI had only checked in on them once since putting the anklets on and the only reason they showed up in the first place was that Sam’s had malfunctioned. It was lucky that they were all in the tower at the time, not that Fury had been sending them on a lot of missions lately. Things were on the quiet side.

“He’ll be asleep for a little longer,” Helen said. “We’ll move him somewhere comfortable. You can call Peter in, if you want.”

“I’ll go get him,” Steve said and leaned over to kiss Tony’s forehead first.

Helen smiled at him.

When he returned with Peter in tow, Tony had been moved into one of the rooms in the medical wing. Tony was still asleep, but he looked peaceful all tucked into bed.

“Everything went perfectly, Peter,” Helen said. “He’ll be awake in an hour or two. Myself or someone from my team will come check in.”

“I’m glad,” Peter said as Helen grabbed a few things and walked out of the room. “I was actually a little worried,” he admitted to Steve. “I just -- I’ve lost all the father figures in my life and he was doing this and I was worried.”

Peter walked to stand by Tony’s bed and Steve moved forward and placed a hand on his shoulder. “You dad rarely does anything that isn’t for a reason. And if he had suspected that this was any riskier than it needed to be he wouldn’t have done it because the last thing he wants is to leave you. Shuri and Helen worked this out and you know how smart they are.”

“I know,” Peter said and looked up at Steve. “I just couldn’t help it. And thanks for helping me get out of school today. Dad just kept saying how I didn’t need to be here.”

“Yeah, well, he hates that we fuss about him.”

Taking it easy was boring. At least, it wasn’t bed rest. Tony could move around and he could go to the workshop but he was limited by how long he could work and how much he could lift or really do which ultimately just made him grumpy. Steve was also hovering for most of his time in there and jumping in to do things for him which Tony had found endearing at first but then kind of frustrating. So, he was happy to be back to normal a month and a half later even if Steve still seemed a bit wary of him doing much. Pepper was worse. She had started to just show up to make sure he was okay every other day right after Tony moved back to the tower and she’d fussed and fussed over him after telling him off for putting the housing unit in his chest in the first place until Tony had enough.

“You know,” Steve said one afternoon, “it’s almost been a year since I came back.”

“It has,” Tony said. A full year. It had been more than a year since the whole fiasco with The Vulture too. They were lucky that there hadn’t been any big villain like that popping up since but even if there had been, Tony was confident that Peter would have been able to handle it.

Training with Steve and the team in general had made a huge difference to Peter’s capabilities as Spider-Man. Peter didn’t use the Iron Spider suit often, opting for his other suit over that one most of the time, but he had gotten so much better with his powers and just his physicality because he wasn’t just following his instincts which were often good, he was doing more. Strategizing and thinking his plans through and really knowing his strengths and weaknesses and using that knowledge to do things in the best way possible.

“And it hasn’t been all bad,” Steve said.

“Yeah,” Tony said. “I half expected you to get too bored to stay.”

“I’ve found that life can’t be boring when you’re in it. But, not just that, it makes a difference that we’re together. You’ve made this worth it and it’s just one more year, Tony.”

“We better hope nothing crazy happens before then,” Tony said. “I thought Thor coming back meant--”

Steve nodded. “I know. I know. I did too. I just wonder what the whole point of it was. He wouldn’t have shown up and left that quickly without there being some reason and I just don’t trust that Loki was with him. Wasn’t he supposed to be dead?”

“Yeah,” Steve said. “That’s what Thor said.”

“Jane was confused about that too. She seemed concerned -- but she hasn’t called which means she hasn’t found anything alarming. At least I have this thing now,” Tony said and tapped his chest. “It makes me feel a little better about any possible threats.”

It was Tony’s fear -- and had been since going through that wormhole -- that they’d be faced with something from outside their world again. Even if nothing came to pass, he wanted them to be prepared. After all, he’d seen what some of those aliens could do and create and it was only a matter of time before Earth became a target again. Ignore This Principle and You'll Destroy Your Real Estate Career

I admit it. Im a recovering engineer. Truth be told, I should never have gone to engineering school. I didnt know myself at all. I didnt know my strengths and weaknesses, my likes and dislikes. I didnt know I was created to be an entrepreneur and certainly didnt know about the power of real estate investing. So, in my Junior year of high school, I learned that there were no degrees in parapsychology (yes, Im embarrassed to say Im serious). I wanted to do something adventurous, and thats about the time I heard about petroleum engineering. So I signed up. That was my first big career mistake. But I shouldnt lament. I enjoyed a rigorous education, and my (more valuable) MBA degree seemed easy by comparison (no calculus or physics!). And I learned an important Buffettism before Id ever heard of Warren Buffett. I hope you already know about it, in name or in practice, but if you dont practice it, youre sure to come to financial ruin. Its called the margin of safety. This post is the 7th in a series that Bryan Taylor, John Jacobus, and I affectionately call Warren Buffett is my Real Estate Mentor. We hope Buffetts wisdom impacts you as it has us. What is the Margin of Safety? The margin of safety is a principle of investing in which an investor only purchases assets when their purchase price is significantly below their estimate of intrinsic value. In other words, when the purchase price of an asset is significantly below your estimation of its intrinsic value, the difference is the margin of safety. Because investors may set a margin of safety in accordance with their own risk preferences, buying assets when this difference is present allows an investment to be made with lower downside risk. Well, if youre driving a truck across a bridge that holdsit says it holds 10,000 poundsand youve got a 9,800-pound vehicle, you know, if the bridge is about six inches above the crevice that it covers, you may feel OK. But if its, you know, over the Grand Canyon, you may feel you want a little larger margin of safety, in terms of only driving a 4,000-pound truck, or something, across. So it depends on the nature of the underlying risk. Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting 1997 This really did remind me of engineering school. When designing drilling rigs or bridges, we had to design all of the components to withstand all of the forces that could be involved. When all the calculations were done, we had to slap on a margin of safety or safety factor. If the safety factor was 3.2, we had to make it 220% stronger than it needed to be. (That would mean a margin of safety of 2.2, but that is getting technical.) To a 19-year-old punk, this seemed like a needless waste. Wait the biggest semi-truck allowed on this road weighs 80,000 pounds. But we have to design the bridge to withstand 256,000 pounds? Isnt that a huge waste? (I didnt know that one in four U.S. bridges failed in the 1800s.) Thirty-six years later, this makes a lot of sense. But it didnt then. I hadnt thought of this engineering term when making investments, but the widely-read Buffett connected the dots for me. The margin of safety is a key concept for us to understand when making an investment in something that has inherent unknowns. Which is every investment I can think of. The margin of safety is a risk management concept that forces us to think about our purchase price relative to our estimate of intrinsic value. Using non-financial examples, like Buffetts bridge, really drives the point home for me. Having a margin of safety is an intuitive concept when deciding to cross a bridge (unless youre a daredevil), but can be more difficult to see when studying, say, a pro forma analysis of a potential investment. So, What Does This Mean for Real Estate Investors? Real estate has numerous unknowns. Your floating debt may change based on unpredictable factors. Your local economy may suffer layoffs. Your property manager may make bad decisions. Your turnaround plan may suffer from unforeseen tariffs on raw materials. The list goes on. The challenge is to not focus on accurately calculating a margin of safety for all of these unknowns. You just cant do this effectively. (Check out this earlier article on becoming a billionaire by being approximately right on a few key variables.) The key is to purchase real estate at a price that allows for a safety net in the event that some random combination of these currently unknown events occur. Related: 3 Ways to Reduce Risk in Your Real Estate Portfolio Some Practical Examples Ensuring that your investment property has adequate debt service coverage (DSC) is a great example why building in a margin of safety is crucial. You must ensure that your cash flow is sufficient to cover your debt obligations. But should you simply make sure that it covers it by just 100%? Or should you make sure that you cover debt service by more than 100%? You know the answer. You dont want to risk some unknown occurrence which would increase your operating expenses and leave you unable to pay your mortgage. Thats a good way to learn a very hard lesson in real estate. Youll be glad to know your banker wont allow this to happen. They insist on a margin of safety of at least 25% (debt service coverage ratio of 1.25xyou should aim for much higher than this). Another great example is forecasting occupancy and rent rates on multifamily properties. You can easily find data that shows average occupancy and rent rates for comparable properties. When you do, should you simply use those averages for your forecasting purposes? No. When applying a margin of safety, youll want to forecast your occupancy below market averages and the same for rent rates. This is often described as being conservative, but really youre adding a margin of safety in the event your property suffers low occupancy or your forecasted rent rates are not happening. Your investors will thank you, trust me.

Why Im Not Investing in Multifamily Right Now As the author of an arrogantly titled book on multifamily investing, Im frequently asked why Im not (or why Im rarely) investing in multifamily right now. And why our company has expanded to self-storage and mobile home parks. Its a fair question that deserves an answer. My response involves the margin of safety. As Ive said in several recent BiggerPockets posts, most anyone in the multifamily world knows prices are crazy overheated right now. Yet there are still plenty of eager buyers, seemingly eager to overpay. I have some theories on why this is happening, and some insightful commenters on my last post added some more. This is obviously continuing to drive prices higher. I hope youre not one of these overzealous buyers, but if you are, I urge you to STOP IT! My firm is still reviewing multifamily opportunities, but we believe that most of them will be on the other side of a market correction. Correction? When? That would require a crystal ball to predict. And those who live by a crystal ball are destined to eat ground glass. Buffett wont even predict the timing of these downturns. But he has learned to act appropriately at each point in the cycle. And thats what we must do, too. I was at a large conference in Miami two weeks ago, and one of Americas most famous multifamily syndicators challenged my thinking. He has been incredibly successful during this nearly decade-long run-up in prices, and hes earned the right to be heard. He said, Dont worry about overpaying for multifamily. Just find a great property in a great location. He went on to explain his reasons. (Im not naming him because I didnt catch the exact quote, and I dont want to make him look bad.) My friends, my mind drifted quickly to Mr. Buffett, who has been massively successful since about the year this guy was born. Through many recessions, wars and more, Buffett has amassed one of historys most enviable fortunes. And hes given us his wisdom all along the way. Would Warren Buffett ever say this? Would he say, Im fine with consistently overpaying for companies I buy? Not on your life. Buffett clearly looks for companies that are undervalued, with latent potential that is yet unrealized. Buffett had the guts to buy financial equities when the financial markets were in a free fall in 2008. Buffett has consistently said no to buying at the top of the market. Buffett lives by the margin of safety. We would do well to do likewise.

can i b real w u i waited until 3 am to type this n a lot (esp from panels/early in the day) is HELLA fuzzy!!! sry! ;w; also it’s like. 4 am as im typing this n im not in the mood to write a diary! recalling everything is tiring, yknow? n i need to go to bed ghh... anyway!!

we left late bc i couldnt decide who to cosplay n i arrived late :(( anyway, it hadnt been 5 minutes there when i dropped my plastic purple heart ring i had from the dentist n i was so sad :( but i went to the bn-ha panel n i dont remember a lot of it sry. i remember iida wore a giant floppy sunhat that said Sunny Vibes on it tho n momo wore a black n white striped dress w sunflowers!

After this was cafe-stuck and it was fun! everyone kept calling jade a furry n i asked nepeta if she’d ever seen Nyan Neko Sugar G!rls to which she said no n someone asked her if she’d heard of/seen nek0para n she said she’d heard of it but it was “a bit.. too Extreme/Much for me.....” and someone asked the group (vriska, jade, john, dave, nepeta, tavros, aradia) why they were doing this and they said it was equius’ and john’s (i think?) prank that got way too out of hanf bc kanaya made the outfits for reals. someone asked vriska if she was a furyr cuz she had a spidersona and throughout the panel vriska and tavros kept talking abt how vriska took away his legs/him not having any. i asked the aradia n vriska if they’d work good together to make a good hall0ween themed cafe if this cafe were real n they were like “what’s hall0ween?” n the others told them it was a holiday that had candy n dead bodies n stuff! n someone asked abt who has the least human rights or just rights in general n john was like “jade u dont rights, ur an animal” n jade was like “trans rights”.

i decided to skip the d-dlc panel bc i didnt rly wanna write poetry cuz i do that at home n i dont rly care abt theories n discussing stuff like that so! i went walking around the dealers room n stuff. my crown actually came off at this time n i remember feeling like my crown had fallen off bc i thought i heard the mini whoosh it makes when it falls down but when i looked behind me, it wasnt there so i checked the aisles nearby n it wasnt there so i assumed someone had snatched it off my head but after a lot of walking, i found it half-underneath a con table w black tablecloth?? so i picked it up n went to the cosplay help desk and the guy safety-pinned it to my wig so i was all good to go!!

after that, i tried to look around to see if i could find any ens-tars cosplayers bc the meerup but i didnt see any so i was like oh well whatever im going to the LL panel anyway. so i went to the aki hana panel n i have videos of it! so im not rly gonna talk abt it. they played kings game there tho and “who’s most likely”! they said “who’d like an!mal crossing the best” n my immediate thought was rin so i raised my hand but the answer they had thought of was kotori, which actually makes much more sense haha. they said my answer was valid tho. i still got candy for answering! anyway the punk set ruby next to me ended up being the hifumi from yesterday that gave me the flower tin n they said it was nice to see me again n i said i wasnt able to go to the ES meetup bc i was only told when it was, not where it was, n they said that Eri/Eli (?) 9im guessing that was the host of the meetup) had to cancel it n i went oh. at the end of the panel i received a kotori pic! also a girl dressed up as a witch complimented my tsukasa outfit n i knelt down n said “thank you, princess” or smth i was like “i had a ring that i was gonna use to like. pretend to give to pretty girls but.. i lost it” n they seemed flattered but we parted ways!

after this was the aqours panel n the hanamaru did a dance n the you also did one but then they started playing the p0cky game n Headphones n i got kind of bored so i left n i heard “tsukasa!” n it was the jakurai from yesterday (that told me abt the meetup) dressed as mao in a yukata w their friend as oni ritsu n they looked so good! the jakumao apologized saying the meetup was cancelled. i think we talked for a sec then i went to go check out the rw-by q n a n it was a whole lot of roasting from the audience haha bc they did questions one at a time (ex: questions for yang, now questions for blake...) n i asked yang how she gets her hair so nice n she went “...nice?” w an unbelieving laugh/tone then they moved on n i was confused but oh well! they asked summer how she felt abt sloppy seconds bc taiyang n how taiyang’d feel abt a 3rd wife n nora got asked how many pancakes she could eat at a time n she was like “how much time do ya have?” n after the qna they started playing a weird game n it was rly boring so i left but the panel was almost over anyway. 

after i left i ran into a ramuda n they recognized me as tsukasa n they’re into ES n they said they hadnt watched the anime yet n they were surprised to see valkyrie in it bc they thought they werent gonna b but they said they hope the anime doesnt butcher shhu bc they like shu n know a lot of ppl hate shu n stuff. we talked abt the ES cosplayers at the con for a bit n i told them abt the ritsu+mao cosplayers n we had anice time talking n they said they rly liked rabits n i was like oh dude me too!! “i havent met anyone who hates ryu-seitai. like, Good.” n they were like “how could you hate ryu-seitai, they all wanna b nice n make friends” n i was like “yea mayb except midori” there was more but yea! i also ran into the witch girl n her friend from earlier bc they went “tsukasa!!!” n her friend (cosplayin smth from hn-k) showed me they had/got a leo plush n i was like “OH MY GOD. HE’S FINALLY BEEN FOUND!! HOLD ON CAN WE HAV A PIC W IT” so we took a pic of the leo plush beside my “where is leo??” sign like!! hell yea! n i was like “leo needs to pay child support. he’s evading his taxes. tax fraud” or smth around this point i think. at some point, on the escalators, i noticed a juto n a samatoki but when they got off the scalator they were heading for the exit so i couldnt rly ask for their pic so i decided to try n find em later.

then i went to the bn-ha panel but it was full to the BRIM but i made the mistake of sliding into the middle of an empty row for a good seat but the prson sat in front of me had big poofy hair so i couldnt see like half of the characters n ppl filld all the seats to my left n right so i couldnt leave. i was rly bored n trapped so i went on my ipad for almost all of thepanel n read part of a chiana/zu fic n stuff until the girl w the big hair left then i focused a Little more on the panel but i was still bored so wehn i noticed the ppl to my right all leave except the one guy next to me, i left the panel. i was sad bc at the time of that panel, there was a DR murder mystery panel that i couldve tried to attend instead but i was trapped so i couldnt :((

after that i decided to wander around for a bit before idolfest but when i went in at 5 pm, i 4got just how small that room was n how few chairs it had, n there were ppl standing against the walls so i leaned my sign against the right of the double doors BUT I LOOKED AHEAD N THERE WAS!! A HYPM!C PERFORMANCE STARTING TO HAPPEN!! DIVISION RAP ANTHEM WAS STARTING UP N MTR WAS ON THE STAGE!! but there were tall ppl standing in front of me n i was crowded against the back so i raised my ipad way above my head n started recording n watched them thru my ipad util someone opened the right door n i had to scramble tog rab my sign n lean it against me somehow n it made my fildiming falter but!! god i was just so exciting bc i wasnt expecting A HYPM!C PERFOAMNCE!! they did so good too ;w; after that, it was a solo hanayo perfoamnce then 3 songs from a non-anime-specific idol group that did 3 voca songs (one of which was LUVVVORATORY!!) n another non-anime dol group that did kpop songs (they were rly pretty n good) n then a you solo then a you/hane duet! ALSO during the hypm!cperformance, te juto n sama n a gentaro were dancing in front of me n right after the perfoamcne, a BB group opened the door but realized they missed the hypm!c performance n left n i decided to try n find em later too. 

after the last performance, there was still time, so a samus came over to me n asked to take a pic of my sign n they said they like ens-tars too n they said they cosplay tsukasa too n they ran a panel as him back in georgia n we talked abt best boys n i showed them all the keychains on my bag n when i pointed at mika n said 2nd best boy they went “:o me too!” n there was a lot more said but we went on talking for a while abt ens-tars n they showed me pics of the tori n arashi cosplayers that day they saw. 

after that i just walked around for like 45 minutes until the samus saw me again n waved me over so i was talking w them n they were apparently drinking alcohol despite being 18 n their friend was 23 n we were just talking abt stuff n i noticed a trigger group on the escalator n we called out to them n i took their picture n samus was like “dude it’s so cool that ur into id0lish7 too” n then we kept talking n at one point the samus was like “tsukasa i luv u” n made a lil finger heart n i tried 2 make one but my hands were kinda full but i managed to make one! they also said earlier today, they saw a sasuke cosplayer getting arrested n they took a pic of it for their snapchat lmao n it was them in front of a cop car n they said the person said “dont touch me!!” to the cop. the friend w samus said the only idols he knows were the combie one n that saki was def best girl hands down like, its a fact n i was like “ur right. it not even a hot take, its the Facts.” anyway then i wnted to walka round a bit more so i did n at like. 7:10 i decided “why not go near the photosoot area n registration to see more cosplayers that r there bc ive just been walking repetitive loops around the dealers room entrance n the con floor so! there could b some new cosplayers there! n lo n behold i found a tenn n ryuu that i had seen briefly earlier! n took their pic! then less than a few ftaway, i tried to walk past some ppl but there was a bag in the way so i stepped over it (like, not on it, i mean. like, Over, to avoid it) but i noticed it was an MTC itabag n the person next to it had bunny ears n it!! was the juto n sama i was looking for! so i took their pic n was talking abt how cool it is to see more hypm!c cosplayers here this yr until some guy came up n started telling the samatoki they looked like kaworu n they mistook them for kaworu n they said they didnt kno who i was supposed to b but i looked nice (iirc?) so i left n near the prop check table, I SAW THE BB BOYS! so i ran up to them n asked for a picture n then i started talking abt the hypm!c thing n there being so many this yr when there were none last yr n the jiro was like “aa ur tsukasa” n we started talking abt ES a lil bit n the anime then i complimented their ritsu+mao plushies on their bag n left!

after that i just roamed the halls until 8 pm. then the v0ltron panel! keith n lance hd like, a roasting rivalry going on n keith was like “i keep getting bullied! i dont deserve this!” n i kept askiing questions. me, a green ranger, a dave, n the dave’s friend were mainly the ones asking questions lmao. anyway keithd b like “lance dont touch me oh ew” and i asked keith what his fav anime was since he said he was a weeb n he said blue ex0rcist n i asked keith if hed seen LL (bc LL cosplayers were dancing to the music outside the panel room n i heard it) n lance was like “oh yea, he knows all the dances. he does them in his room” n keith denied it n at one point, i was like “since keith n lance share one braincell, who has it the most” n they said keith. the bonding moment was also mentioned a lot and alluras death n how lance can get much more “game” than keith (like, ladies. sorry im tired they might hav used another term) and an amami in the audience told lance to fortnite dance with him aftr thelance fortnite danced n!! just. a lot happened. it was a very casual-ish panel imo. haha.

after that i 4got that the bn-ha panel was at 10 not 9 so i just decided to wander then hit up the dance floor for most of the duration n i spotted the juto n sama n a nurse ramuda that i remember the samus talking abt n also someone who looked like the arashi the samus showed me but in an ali!ce madeness returns dress  o i asked the ramuda for a pic and then started dancing and the juto got into one of the dance circles n just started going hard as HELL n i was just dancing in the area they were near n out of the corner of my eye i’d see juto just absolutely KILLING IT w their dance moves bc they were dancing in front of their friends (occasionally w samatoki or posing w them) n i was just jamming out n during a slow song i pulled up a pic of chiaki on my ipad n started slowdancing w my ipad n the girl near me was like “that’s a Mood” n i think i heard the possibly-arashi n the others laugh a bit bc i was slow-dancing w “chiaki’ haha but god the dance floor was WILD! there was a guy w a saxophone at some point playing along w the music then a guy w a guitar! n we yelled lyrice to dont stop believing n stuff.

the the bn-ha panel! ...i was bored. most of the time i put tape on my leo sign and looked up wigs on ebay n stuff n sometimes i couldnt hear v well bc i sat near the back. they started up like, truth or dare but w a beach ball to decide who got to ask the dare or w/e? but i noticed a gentaro in the back of the room so i was like “ill just wait until the end of the panel then ask for their picture” then trivia started n they eventually asked what episode dabi appeared in n i was thinking “ep 7 of the most recent season” n some guy guessed that (he was the only one who fuessed) but the izuku n katsuki looked at their paper n i heard them mutter “episode 31″ so after somebody guessed ep 42 n the panelists said ‘”guess between 30-42--” i said ep 31 n went up n got a pack of aiw stickers but i shoulve taken the superhero shirt tbh. aftr that i decided to leave n asked the gentaro for a pic n they were one of the ryuus earlier they said n also a jakuarai from yesterday! they were like “oh! ur the tsukasa i keep seeing/running into!” n i was like “oh! hi!”

idk what convo this was in but someone was like “do u like how they did anzu?” n i was like “oh she’s so cute they rly said Fuck Anzu Haters” n they agreed.

HELP! Car & Insurance for 17 year old.?

Hi, I'm 17 in a week & will be starting my driving lessons. I have my theory booked for a few days after & aim to pass in around 6 weeks, depending on the waiting list for the test, having 3-4 lessons a week. Driving a car isn't a problem for me, have had plenty of practise on tracks in my dads weapon ;) & have for the last 8 weeks or so been going to an empty industrial estate one or twice a week, driving my mums cooper S or occasionally my uncles M3. Just need practice with the ways of public roads from my instructor. Anyway, as you can probably tell I've had a fair bit of experience driving fairly fast cars, so thats where i need advice - can anybody suggest any fairly fast cars that are reasonable to insure? or any cheap insurance company's, or any ways to get insurance down, as long as they aren't completely ridiculous lies, I want to keep it as legit as possibly ideally. So far I've been quoted 1600-ish on a standard golf on my mums insurance, but ideally want something a bit quicker then that. My budget for a car + insurance overall is 4-5k. My ideal car would be a GTI, anybody know where i can insure one cheap-ish? ALSO, *PLEEEEASE* no do-gooder's telling me it is 'fronting' to go on my mums insurance, I am well aware of this, however I am also aware that if the car is registered in my mums name with the DVLA, then they don't have a leg to stand on. Long story short, a guy ran his car off the road into my front yard and hit a tree. The tree is a complete loss. He has insurance (thank god!). How much should I expect to receive from the insurance company for the value of the tree? The tree is a mature Blue Spruce. It was about 20-25 feet tall, had an 8-10 inch trunk, and a spread at the base of about 15 feet or so. I know that I should at least be entitled to the cost of removing the tree/debris and planting a new tree. But you cant really plant a 25 foot Blue Spruce! So, the problem I am having is determining what value should I be entitled to considering the maturity of the tree? Who can I call to get an appraisal? Other info: I live in a subdivision of custom brick homes on a large lot (about 1 acre) and my home is worth about $275k.
