i LOVE your body horror/biology jaime designs so much. question about how you think khaji's healing factor works - does it have any interesting ways of dealing with head trauma? it's never seemed to be a problem for jaime, but comics tend not to address that getting your head smacked into things is bad even with armor, so idk if you have any thoughts. is khaji doing something fucked up in there or is it just comic logic.

I have a general idea about Jaime's enhanced healing which you might have already seen here, but I don't really have anything specific for head trauma.

The comics don't have much explanation in terms of healing, but there is a bit with prevention of head trauma I guess. In Rebirth (one of the few good things about it) Khaji mutates Jaime's skeleton. Not much more detail is given about it, but my personal head cannon is some kind of carbon fiber coating. Its lightweight, sturdy (5 times stronger than steel!), and isn't toxic inside the body (we already use it to make stuff like hip replacements)!

They would have to work around the release and production of new red blood cells, maybe interweaving with the network of capillaries, but it could work! Carbon fiber is already similar to a woven texture. It shouldn't be too hard to weave in a few blood vessels (<- that sounds. so much more fucked up when I put it down on paper.)

It wouldn't necessarily help with healing but hey, prevention can be better than a cure!
