happiest of happy birthdays to my favorite person! i truly hope you have the most wonderful day today. there are a million things that i’d like to say here, but of all of them, this is the most important: you are loved.

you are the better half of my soul, my very best friend, and the person that sees me for who i am and doesn’t ask me to be anything else. your friendship has gotten me through some of the darkest days of my life — your grace, humor, and understanding have been my light at the end of the tunnel for longer than i can remember, and for that i hope you know i’m endlessly grateful. but you’re not just my friend, and that’s the amazing thing. you’re a light, a joy, and a warmth for so many people here on tumblr and in the real world around you, and every day i’m reminded we’re all so lucky to have you. could we live without you? probably, but life would be a whole hell of a lot more boring.

i commissioned the insanely talented @ziorre to bring to life a moment of quiet love between my pretty boy ryan and @echo3-1’s most perfect girl lily — and unsurprisingly, she knocked it out of the park. the textures, the lighting, the intimacy? i cannot describe how happy i am with how these two look.
