So we've had to take a slight detour on the Amy-Claire's Week Of Birthday Celebrations (Featuring Awesome Family And Friends!) journey... I've got an ear infection 👂🏻! Yup, despite the fact I'm on antibiotics for a kidney infection, I've managed to get a bloody ear infection! Basically, I get subcutaneous blistering as part of my condition, I got blistering in my ear, the blistering turned yucky and got infected, and my ear drum got all red and swollen, and my ear/face/neck hurt. Luckily the local oncall GP were amazing; they rang me back in an hour, listened when I told them I've had this before and just need Otomize, didn't demand I pointlessly track to the practice, told my mum the emergency oncall number (to be used should shit hit the fan overnight), offered to get me seen by ENT TODAY, and told mam I was the best patient he'd dealt with all day! Yay for the oncall gp 🙌🏻👏🏻🎉! Also yay for dad for dashing straight to the surgery to collect the script, then straight to the chemist to get the special smelly ear spray... YAY DAD 🙌🏻👏🏻🎉! So I've now sprayed my ear three times (which means I've been sitting with my head cocked to the side like a curious bird all night) and I'm really hoping this works some serious magic before tomorrow...
