I've been having so much fun learning new languages over winter break and I'm so sad cause I know I'll probably stop keeping up with it once the new semester starts and I'm just too stressed/tired
#my duolingo streak has reached a grand total of 10 days and i say that unironically proudly#i started doing spanish korean and arabic on duolingo and I've been keeping up with Spanish religiously but also been pretty consistent#on the other two#and ive been listening to a french podcast to keep my french skills fresh#im hoping to at least be able to keep up with Spanish cause as a future healthcare worker in the US i really dont want to not be able to#at least partly communicate with my patients and i know so many of them are going to be Spanish speaking#thankfully im taking ASL as an actual course this semester so I'm at least gonna be forced to keep up with learning one language#and im taking that for the same reason i want to learn Spanish#my sister in law whos a nurse told me this horror story of having to examine a deaf SA patient and not being to communicate with her#it makes an already dreadful situation just exponentially worse
