okay but can we be real i dont think alot of people understand what its like to have grown up where people judged you for your hobbies or the things you liked.

its kind of a sillier example but 2020-2021 i used to watch youtube on my TV and i'd spend hours on hours watching hatsune miku live concert recordings. i liked (and, still love) imagining myself in the crowd, screaming along to my favorite songs. and my mom wasn't the worst offender of the judgement (in fact, she sort of just dismissed it half the time), but she didn't get it and didnt want to understand it. and that disheartened me. my dad is the worst offender unfortunately, because he would find any way to tear me down from my interests by making fun of them constantly. most of it comes from him being on the older side so i cant blame him for not.. *wanting* to understand. but to go out of your way to hate on what your kid enjoys?

it sucks.

and they judged me for writing poetry. they judged me for writing at all. they judged me for liking videogames. they judged me even for the clothing that i liked to wear.

moral of this story: go find people who don't care how much you yap on. go find people who yap WITH you about shit you don't even know about. one of my best friends @cowsgobaa is a prime example of this! i didn't even KNOW who PTV was before i met him, and then months later i find myself looping circles, today i saw the whole world, a match into water, one hundred sleepless nights, the jaws of life, hell above, king for a day, pass the nirvana, etc.

go find your people. they're out there. ready to hear your silly words on things you know so much about. even if they don't get it, they're still listening and they still love hearing you talk so enthusiastically.

It makes me happy when they listen
