Oh man, my WIP that I currently have had to put on pause because of Life - I wrote a passage about Steve Harrington coming out to Hopper, and I am very fond of it. My other favourite creations of 2022 are some stencils my partner and i made together.

What’s something you would like to create content for? There are many things that I'd like to create more digital art for but which I simply am not at the level I'd like to be with, you know?

What’s something you’re currently obsessed with? The band IDLES are pretty up there for me in terms of what I spend the most time interacting with or thinking about.

What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year? A particular friendship which did not end well.

folks, let me take you on the little adventure I just had.

so Ghost’s US tour dates came out. the show in Providence, RI, at the Dunkin Donuts Center on September 12th, would be the closest to me. so I scroll down to check the presale tickets, right?

instead of being listed at the Dunkin Donuts Center, it simply says “Dunkin’, Centreville, VA”. ‘okay,’ I think. ‘maybe they just made a little mistake.’ I go to check the ticket site, and it says the same thing, this time with an address. it occurs to me to check said address (Dunkin’, 14631 Lee Hwy, Centreville, VA, 20121)

you know what that address is?

Mina is a POLY BISEXUAL ICON and is in love with Lucy AND Jonathan. when we get in a little later and see Mina and Jonathan actually interacting in person you will understand. they are head over heels for each other and it is so cute. 

Lucy is also poly and bisexual. she literally has a line in a few days that’s the most hasn’t-realized-she’s-poly shit ever.

Monday Something

Andrew returns to Tangmere- and boys will be boys.

The Mess greets his entrance by erupting into cacophany of shouts, whistles and general cheers, loud enough to fill the room to the rafters

Andrew laughs even as he throws up his hands to try and quell their noise. They all ignore him, contining to cheer, shout and yell.

"Enough. Enough!!" He shouts.

A few stray whistles straggle out into the sea of chuckling which follows after the shouting. He runs his eyes over all of them, met with broad grins, eyes which are entirely too keen, bent smiles.

Barker has strode over in all the commotion and buffets him on the shoulder with an open palm. "Well... how dost thou Foyle, as a married man?"

He smiles at his billet-mate, at all of them tips his head breifly, "Well...I'll tell you something- it's made me realise how much you snore Barker."

Barker pulls an mock wounded expression, and there are more chuckles around them, now directed more at Barker. Andrew takes the chance to quickly stride across and claim the empty armchair Jones had been in previously. Eyes are still on him, expectant.

"Samantha sends her thanks to you for the chocolates and the telegram" He settles into the remaining soft bits of the cushion, they're there if you know how to sit. "As for anything else-" he can almost see their eyes get bigger, ears stretch closer "-It's really none of your business is it? 'Timber', throw me that paper would you? Home's wasn't delivered when I left this morning." He catches the lobbed newspaper fairly deftly, pointedly opens it and disappears behind the leaves.

There's an audible sigh, the others deflating into soft grumbling but they gradually shift back to where they had been as he came in. Just because we're all lads here, and young and exuberant, each can still have their secrets. His eyes wander randomly over the printed pages of the Times, settling on nothing in particular.

Goodness, I sounded like Dad then, warning them off. He shakes his head to himself - at himself.

1945 Summer Hastings Beach

There's a moment - a second, a little more perhaps- when Christopher sees Andrew's eyes light up in that particular way that presages mischief. Then his son is up and running, Sam's straw sunhat snatched in a twinkling from the picnic blanket beside her, carried off as hostage.

Sam springs up as if she is starting the hundred-yard dash, tearing after him over the beach. "Andrew Foyle! Give That Back!"

Andrew throws a grin over his shoulder, keeps going. Christopher watches the chase. Sam catches up, of course she does, at the water's and Andrew is dodging about, holding the hat above his head, teasing her with it- Sam who isn't quite tall enough, especially in bare feet, to reach what his son is holding.

He can hear her recriminations and laughing entreaties carried over the beach on the breeze as they dance about. Sam makes a lunge, gets too close and Andrew's arm slips about her waist, pulling her in, netting her.

She's still glaring, it's there in the tip of her chin, but she tilts her head so Andrew can kiss her firmly on the lips... Then makes a grab for the momentarily disregarded hat, shoves him neatly in the chest and leaps away as Andrew flops back into the sea. When he surfaces it's clear he's laughing through his splutters. He picks himself up, and Christopher sees them ambling back up the beach in a more orderly fashion towards him, laughter and smiles bouncing back and forth over the double arms-length between them, Sam idly swinging the hat in the hand safely furthest from Andrew.

fandom(s): pretty much exclusively one direction but i’ll incorporate other universes (ie: works like a charm, my hogwarts au) sometimes!

where you post: ao3! exclusively - can’t imagine myself posting anywhere else!

most popular one shot: that’d have to be sleeping on our problems if we’re talking hits and before we knew if we’re going by kudos! 

most popular multi-chap: i haven’t posted very many mult-chap fics (yet) so the only one that qualifies is Don’t Let It (Me) Break which is 33 chapters and also my most popular fic in general going by hits!  

favorite story you’ve written so far: i’m proud of every fic i’ve posted so far and love them all for different reasons but i think my favorite is just a flicker in the dark which incorporates all my favorite things: exes to lovers (favorite trope), enemies to lovers, mystery, paranormal elements, magic, pets, ghosts, worldbuilding, sharing a bed, protective (and a smidge of jealous) harry, and a lot more!! 

my second blff which has yet to come out: feeling borrowed, always blue is also one of my favorites!!! (another exes to lovers dhjdk ft. a fake relationship, wedding planner harry, fashion designer louis, a baby, and lots of angst!! with a very happy ending!)

fic you were nervous to post: ...all of them? i’ll say the top three would be before we knew (wrote it super fast; also it was a rough time of year for me :/), bruise you like a peach (so many people whose opinions i care about over on twitter were excited about this one and i was feeling the pressure hdjkdk - it worked out well though!!), and my most recent one, sweet like honey (mainly because i’ve never posted in a collection before nor participated in a fic fest! but thankfully i’ve gotten over the nerves for the next one!)

how do you choose your titles? not very well! no but seriously, choosing a title is always such a difficult part of the process for me! i tend to use song lyrics but sometimes i just come up with something that references an event/dialogue in the fic or a theme that’s relevant! 

do you outline? Y E S! not going to lie, but i genuinely wouldn’t be able to write without a decently detailed outline! it’s different if it’s a shorter fic but for the longer ones, my outlines average about 3-5k! that’s not just including character information and scene lists! it also includes any important worldbuilding details, any links to articles i’ve referenced and might come back to, other lists about certain parts of the story, and anything else i need to keep in mind!

complete: i have 16 fics posted to ao3 + one unrevealed blff fic which is also complete so 17!

in progress: uhhhh, let me go count -

EIGHTEEN! hdjkdk 18 fics that i’ve begun and have at least 500 words of! some have only 1k and others have closer to 10k! but they’re all technically “in progress” so... hehe. 

coming soon: those 18 for starters... and also hopefully eventually the other 10 fics i have on my main wip list... but in the *nearest* future: my tangled au, sky high au, and perseus/medusa inspired au!

prompts? i’ll gladly accept any prompts! can’t promise you i’ll ever write them but not counting fest fics which have to be written from a prompt, i have about five fics i’m currently intending to write based on prompts from other people and two that are already posted: before we knew, yet again, and in a world alone!

upcoming work you’re most excited about? at the moment: my tangled au, perseus/medusa au, and also a potential mandalorian au... hehe. these are all wips, though so for actual upcoming fics, the only one i can guarantee is feeling borrowed, always blue which is set for december!
