Possibly the funniest part of Metal Gear is that the plot thread of Ocelot being possessed by Liquid's arm gets resolved by Ocelot revealing he was just lying about it the whole time.

I'm deep deep deep into my MIU404 rewatch and I'm giddy with excitement over how well Last Mile has been doing after 3 days (970 million yen!!!!!!!!). My twitter is just nothing but Hoshino Gen and MIU404 and Last Mile tweets now. I feel so much better and just happier aaaaah. Maybe I'll get back into my ANN listening too.

Also reeling from the discovery that not only is Hideo Kojima getting into MIU404 and promoting it to his followers in JP and EN, he and Gen have known each other for much longer than I thought and are absolutely adorkable together. His bday post recently had them in the most dorky pose I felt my day get better and my soul be renergized.

I mean look at them. This is adorable. I love them here!

(I'm aware that Gen featured in Death Stranding (music only) and was a guest with him on the gaming mini program hosted by Honda Tsubasa last year. But he tweeted a photo of a younger-looking Gen with an Idea/Koi era hairstyle! Also : looks like Gen recorded something? There's a short clip of him flipping through what looks like a script book and a suspended microphone too.)

Wow. 11 whole days of Death Stranding pictures and I'm surpised thst people actually liked them. I wanna thank everyone who came and showed support all the way up to my Birthday. Death Stranding came out 4 years ago.

Time flies really fast, doesn't it?

I'm happy I got to meet so many people through this game, and it's narrative bridging us all together. For many, it arrived at the right time and helped guide us through some dark events.

Speaking for myself, this game helped me cope better with the loss of my grandma, who died the day of Covid Lockdowns in my state. I don't think I would've healed as easily if it hadn't been for these games' themes hitting close to home.

Also damn do I love Higgs, Sam, Fragile, Heartman, Deadman, Amelie, Cliff, Lou, Diehardman...its rare to find a game where you love the humanity in each of its characters and these guys delivered.

Death Stranding also gave me the excuse to create Gene Dawkins. I think of all my OCs, she's one of the coolest I've conceived. Now I'm building my own lore into this world through her story, and I can't wait to share it with the folks in this fandom I admire.

There's a lot of good strands here in this bunch. I hope we all continue to keep bumping into one another on the beach 💙

Watched a stream of a guy playing mgs. He was saying his YouTube review of mgs3 got lots of hate comments cause he said the game felt a bit too easy and he didn’t like the huge item menu system. Metal gear fans are so fucking annoying
