re: the heota controversy, I speak korean and I lurked some kmelos (not on twt because they never talk publicly there lol) when it was happening and they weren't happy, very few defenders. it was more his tone and the way he worded things that they didn't like, he's preachy and patronizing and hyper-defensive sometimes (in a very "korean man" way)? and this is when he's addressing his fans, so it's very??? kmelos liked his apology, but some went "he's always been like that, is he gonna change"

(and yes his previous scandal was mentioned too)

also idk if you're aware but there was a related uproar because "dirt" on the other members were sent to the twt account that exposed heota. the kmelo consensus was, it was sent by heota akgaes trying to bring the rest of the group down, because it was obscure stuff only a bitubi stan would know... I'm fairly sure imelos just assumed it was random haters, but kmelos were shocked that bitubi has akgaes that bad

and THEN relating to his "attitude and tone", kmelos brought up how heota has a pattern of putting down other members (well, 99% limited to kwangie/subie) publicly, apparently lots of fans took issue with that for years but were bullied and called sensitive snowflakes if they said anything... literal pages of fans pouring their hearts out, most of them surprisingly levelheaded and sympathetic to all members (including heota, but still calling him out), and ruminating on how kmelos silence reasonable negativity for the sake of their "nice fandom" image, plus call anyone who complains about anything akgaes (hm sounds a bit familiar)

tl;dr the birthrate message controversy had kmelos venting furiously/infighting/probably crying for two full days

The last thing Hayoon had expected Ilhoon to say was that he knew a vet. The Choi family dog had a habit of getting into things he wasn’t supposed to, but that just seemed to be a running theme in her family.

The golden retriever was happily wagging his tail as he was checked over by this woman, Ilhoon leaning against the wall while Hayoon rubbed her pregnant belly.

Ilhoon’s neighbour, Josie, just so happened to be a vet.

“He’ll eat anything,” Hayoon frowned, “I never had a dog before so.., I don’t really know what’s normal,”

“He seems fine, you’ll probably just need to let it pass through his system,” The vet smiled as she stood up, pulling her gloves off, “What did he eat again?”

“A whole jar of Kimchi,” Ilhoon answered.

Josie grimaced, “It won’t do anything bad but.., it’s not going to be nice cleaning up after him for the next few days,”

Hayoon also grimaced, “That’s going to be my husband’s responsibility then,”

“So, you-“ Josie pointed at Ilhoon, who quickly shook his head.

“I’m not married to her,” Ilhoon answered quickly, “She’s my best friend,”

“Sorry,” Josie smiled, “Just.. not a lot of pregnant woman have male friends where I’m from,”

Hayoon shrugged, “Ilhoon’s one of the god fathers to my children, I have four so far,”

“Four?!” Josie blinked.

“With two more coming,” Hayoon smiled, “Do you want kids?”

Josie shrugged, “I don’t know,”

Ilhoon chuckled, “You have three dogs though,”

“Animals and children are very different,” Josie pointed out.

Hayoon blinked, “You haven’t met my children,”

Ilhoon laughed, pushing the long hair out of his face, “Thank you for helping, Josie,”

“He’s cute,” Josie patted the dog, glancing at Ilhoon before she gathered her things, “I’ll be leaving now,”

With a simple goodbye, Ilhoon closed the door after his neighbour before looking at Ilhoon.

“You wanted to talk to me about something-“

“She absolutely likes you!” Hayoon exclaimed, “Ilhoon!”

“What?” Ilhoon sputtered out, “She’s my neighbour!”

“And she’s cute!”

"i never think that you, or what you need is too much. if i thought that, i wouldn't be with you." he says with an endearing smile. he knew that being with ilhoon would entail things like reassurance and comforting - it wasn't too much for him to do and something he was aware ilhoon needed. he smiled at the thank you and kisses his head. "of course - i know it can be hard for you to do these kinds of things, and being able to take care of you is a reward to me." smiling when told ilhoon would tell him multiple times a day making hayden chuckle and push back the smallers hair to kiss his forehead. "i couldn't agree with you more about that. you are my forever too. i'd find you over and over again in every lifetime."

And Ilhoon would sigh softly looking up at him "are you sure? it you don't think that sometimes it's a bit too much?" Ilhoon knew there were times he was constantly trying to ask for reassurance when rationally he knew the other didn't mind he gave it to him without questioning it too much, but that didn't mean he didn't feel a bit guilty that he was insecure and always asking for reassurance. "I really appreciate It, baby, I know it's a lot to handle stress wise so it means a lot to me that it doesn't bother you to take over." he would smile very fondly up at him "Then I'll make sure I'll start reminding you multiple times a day." And he would lift his hand up reaching out very gently stroke his cheek humming very softly "Not to sound cheesy but I really think we are fated to be, we're soulmates, you're my forever you know that."
