sif:

ditched the cloak. it was collecting dust in their closet until recently, but they realized they don't need to cling to their grief so much anymore. someone else will need it more soon.

ditched the eyepatch. the prosthetic eye is a labor of love designed by isa, as is literally everything else they're wearing.

they cut their bangs finally and started braiding their hair back so it wouldn't obscure their vision as much anymore.

they like darker/tighter clothing and prefer function over form but unfortunately their gay ass boyfriend keeps treating them like a dress up doll so they're stuck wearing waistcoats and a fancy cloak. (they don't mind. it's designed to look like loop.) they keep flowers in their many pockets to give to people.

they're a woodworker in their free time. they don't usually talk about being any sort of savior so he just becomes sif the guy who's really good at carving birthday presents for people and also tags along with isa to charity parties and fundraisers

41 year old 5'1" they/he absolutely zero intention of Changing. bonded to isabeau. they adopted a kid who leo or i might post about some other time i think. her name is estelle.

i took a lot of inspiration for the sparkly, sheer fabric on her dress from euphrasie. she's not head housemaiden yet because she doesn't feel like she's ready but everybody knows it'll be her

speaking of inspiration. she's been taking a lot of fashion cues from a certain lady in dormont that she thought was kind of scary, but it turns out she's very nice? they're besties now.

she got rid of the earrings for a little bit but then she realized she just liked how they look on her. so now they go ding ding! it's for her and nobody else, and that's how she likes it.

moved her ornaments to her skirt because they ding ding more often there. her necklace also jingles with merriment.

my glorious hag. she started shrinking about 3 years ago. all those years of bending over books has finally caught up to her. her hips are fuuuuuucked. but she has a sick cane that sif carved for her so everything's okay

she was already pretty comfortable and settled in her sense of style when she was nearing 50 so i don't think she would change much. darker clothing maybe. ditched the high-waisted pants for some looser slacks.

she's started writing a familytale of her own. the only person she's told about it is bonbon, who caught her up way past their bedtime, and scribbled all over one of the pages. she'll pass it on to sif when the time's right, after she's written down everything she can remember about their family.

they traveled for a while with everybody but eventually settled down back in bambouche to start a little family owned restaurant with nille featuring dishes from all over the globe. people travel from all over to get a taste of boniface's good eats... bambouche is bustling. (they have a few recipes that are sourced from the country. they meet people every once in a while who find something achingly familiar about it, and they usually direct those people to jouvente to get in contact with frin.)

ok. this is where lozy gets to just talk about what he thinks happens post game. i think they stick around for way longer than they really should and follow the crew around on their travels (mostly invisibly) because they're sooo fucking scared of change they're sooo scared and they're so scared of their wish fucking up beyond belief. they're kind of incapable of aging or dying in this body and theyre like permanently 26 which is what spurs them to finally move on.

i think they go back to their timeline eventually after making a Brand New Wish to "go back to their real family." alas the universe leads and we can only follow. and it turns out loop has actually made a real family in stardust's world also. this is my justification for why they can pop in between sasasap and isat worlds without much repercussion. i think they're always permanently loop shaped in isat but i imagine they can probably go back to their original body in their home timeline... might design that later. who knows. i'm fucked like that

i just think they deserve a chance for their own happy ending you know. isat's a game about how it's never too late to communicate and how you shouldn't punish yourself forever and ever. and i think theyve punished themself enough you know.

PLEASE READ; This Mother From Ghazzah Needs Your Help!

Ola is a mother of three children; Yamen, Qusai, and as of recently, Mira. Since her husband was abroad getting medicine, Ola had been taking care of her children when October 7th of 2023 came to pass. Since then, the family has been split apart as Ola struggles to support her children alone through genocide.

They are displaced and struggling to secure necessities like food and water; Ola's husband is the family's source of income, and without him they cannot afford much of anything. They have suffered such severe sickness from the contaminated water that they all had to be hospitalized at one point; they are also getting liver damage due to malnutrition.

Ola gave birth to Mira during all this, who has never seen her father and only known the sound of bombs. Ola is struggling to afford milk and diapers for her.

Recently, with the onset of winter, Ola and her children have been unable to afford warm clothing.

In order to help support Ola and her children through this genocide and hopefully help them evacuate once the crossing opens, they need to raise €35,000. So far, they've raised €15,243 with only 1 donation in the last 3 hours.

Hi everyone. I've been asked by Yahya (@yahyabkheet-blog) to share his story with you.

Yahya is 33 years old and has 3 children all under the age of 10: Dima, Mira, and Anas. It hurts him a lot to see his children suffering from hunger. As aid trucks cannot enter Gaza to deliver food like flour to the people, the only flour they have are filled with worms and weevils. Little Mira cries every night because her stomach hurts from hunger and she cannot sleep!

Hunger is not the only suffering they face. Due to drinking polluted water, Anas has developed a skin disease. Yahya's mother suffers from heart diseases and diabetes and both his parents need medical treatment. Yet because of the scarcity of medical resources and the lack of money, Yahya can only watch helplessly and his loved ones suffer.

Moreover, they are also not equipped to deal with the coming winter. They need to repair their tent so that it can shield them from the cold and the rain, but they do not have the funds to buy the materials to do so!

And that all is in addition to the frequent bombings they face! Please help them!

When he woke up next it was dark out and his stomach was growling. As he sat up he could smell the warm heat of something cooking in the kitchen. He went to the bathroom and washed his hands. He knew he should brush his teeth and he vaguely remembered Eddie saying something about a spare around here somewhere, but he couldn’t remember where. And he really, really didn’t want to go rummaging through the drawers.

He gave up and decided to do it after dinner and have Eddie show him where it was.

He ran his fingers through his hair to tame the tousled look to something more respectable. He really didn’t think it worked. He had slept with it wet and it would take getting it wet and washed before he could properly tame it.

Jeff grinned at him when he came stumbling out. “Just in time, man. Eddie’s making his famous spaghetti.”

“It smells heavenly,” he murmured.

“Just wait ‘til you taste it, Stevie,” Eddie said with a wide, happy smile. “It’ll blow your mind.”

Steve blushed. “You didn’t have to wait for me to eat, I could have reheated leftovers or something.”

Jeff and Eddie shared a grin.

“This is when we usually eat,” Jeff explained. “We were working on a song for our band earlier.”

“I’m our lyricist,” Eddie said. “Jeff is the composer. He takes my silly little words and turns them into songs.”

Steve nodded. “And you guys play at Cora’s Den?”

“The Hideout and Alleyways, too,” Jeff confirmed. “But yeah, Cora’s Den is our main spot though, which is why Mrs. Hughes pays for this apartment for us to stay at when we’re here.”

“I’m still having trouble wrapping my head around the fact that Gareth’s parents are rich enough to afford a three bedroom apartment in the middle of Indy for you guys to crash at whenever you want,” Steve admitted. “My parents would never do that.”

Eddie shrugged. “We knew Gareth’s family had money when he first started playing with us. No poor schmuck living in Forest Hills was going to buy their ten year old a drum kit and remain sane.”

“Yeah,” Jeff agreed. “We just didn’t know how much until he offered his parent’s garage to practice in. That place has better acoustics then most bars we’ve played in.”

“Just what do his parents do?” Steve asked in awe.

“They run those fancy boutiques for pets,” Eddie said. “They have five shops around the country. Here in Indy, Chicago, New York, LA...and what’s the other one?”

“Miami,” Jeff said.

Eddie snapped his fingers. “That’s it! They charge hundreds of dollars for rich morons to make their pets as pampered as possible.”

“That explains more than it doesn’t,” Steve sneered. “My parents hate animals. The thought of a pet treated better than they treat their own son would have driven them crazy.”

“Not even a goldfish in the Harrington household?” Jeff asked, cocking his head to the side.

Steve laughed bitterly. “And have the water spill on the perfect hardwood floors? Not likely.”

“Even I had a hamster at one point,” Eddie said, shaking his head. “You are seriously missing out.”

“I’m hoping when I get a place of my own I’ll be able to get a cat,” he confessed.

“Aww...” Eddie said. “What kind?”

Steve shrugged. “Probably a rescue.”

Jeff and Eddie smiled softly.

“Sounds good, Steve,” Jeff murmured.

“Food is done!” Eddie said with a flourish. “Spaghetti in meat sauce.” He blinked for a moment. “You’re not vegetarian are you?”

Steve laughed. “No. You probably missed me tucking into the bacon and sausage for breakfast.”

Eddie tilted his head to the side. “Oh right.”

He dished out the food on three plates and handed one to each of Jeff and Steve before grabbing his own plate and sitting on the other side of Steve.

They tucked into their meals and ate quietly. A testament to how good it tasted.

For Steve, it was warm and hearty, filling a void he didn’t know he had. Even when he was in high school, he didn’t have a lot of guy friends and while he loved the Party with all his heart, it wasn’t the same as hanging out with people his age.

Once they were done, Jeff did dishes. Eddie led him over to their large fluffy sofa.

Steve settled in, curled up to Eddie’s side as he talked with Jeff about the new song.

It had been so long since he felt this safe. Like if he drifted off to sleep right now, he would be protected.

And wasn’t that just something.

Eddie’s voice broke through his revery. “Hey, sweetheart. I think you’re falling asleep again.”

“Being drugged sucks.”

Jeff laughed. “It sounds like you’ve been drugged more than once, man.”

Eddie and Steve looked at each other, then Steve winced.

“I may have angered a couple of Russian officers when I accidentally stumbled on their very illegal operation under the Starcourt Mall?” he said through gritted teeth.

Jeff rolled his eyes. “Considering how messed up Hawkins is, nothing surprises me anymore.”

Eddie and Steve huffed out a laugh.

“You’ve got that right,” Eddie said. “Come on, darlin’, let’s get you to bed.”

They got ready for bed and Steve finally got that toothbrush to brush his teeth. He washed his face and Eddie led him back to his bedroom.

Once Steve had gotten comfortable, he pulled Eddie to him before he could protest.

“You’re mine now,” Steve murmured happily. “I licked you. Remember?”

Eddie chuckled. “I guess finder’s keepers. I’ll happily be yours.”

They curled up on the bed and slept soundly knowing that they were heading back to Hawkins with more then the hookup they assumed it was going to be when Eddie first came to his aid.

And Steve couldn’t have been happier.

He was going to have to do something really nice for Robin as a thank you.

As he was falling to sleep, he felt Eddie lick the side of his face. He giggled and pressed their lips together. Eddie hummed happily.

“Love you, Stevie.”

“Love you, too, Eds.”

Gil makes an indignant noise in the back of his throat. “I don’t blubber! I’ve never blubbered in my life. I feared, yes, for my dear friend and colleague, so perhaps I might have wept, but there was no blubbering."

Mirabelle winces as she settles back against the cushion. “Tears are tears,” she strains out, and pauses to catch her breath. “They were of no use anyway, because I’m perfectly fine.”

“Wrong on all counts, Mira,” Faralda says, a little snappish, and smooths the bedcover. "Certainly blubbering would have been undignified, and Gil is a proper upper-ring boy, who would have gone about his sniveling in a genteel fashion—"

"Sniveling—!"

“Well! I'd never thought there were so many shades to this subject.” Mirabelle closes her eyes and waves a hand. “Enlighten me.”

“Rated from least pathetic to most,” Gil says, and ticks on his fingers, “it goes weeping, sobbing, wailing, whimpering, blubbering, and finally: sniveling, which I have never done. The astute among you may note that this scale does not correlate to the intensity of the crying— it’s more, I suppose, related to the number of leaking facial orifices…”

“Sound reasoning,” Faralda nods.

“A talent for theory. A shame we must let it go to waste.” Mirabelle throws a look at Faralda. There is something smug in it that Gil mislikes.

2023 was a very exhausting and painful year for me. but no matter what happened in real life, i loved spending time on tumblr with my lovely mutuals. i'm a rather shy person and i'm very bad at talking online and keeping online conversations going but i honestly love every single one of you ❤️

Last song I listened to: "Ghost River" by Nightwish. Such conflicted feelings to this band. Admittedly, they were one of two that got me through grad school, but firing Tarja and Anette, losing Jukka and Marko... I don't know.

Currently Reading: Okay... so... how much I read is based on two factors. How much work is interfering with things and where my headspace is. And, uh... yeah. I'm really behind on 3 series. The last book I read was Unbreakable by Mira Grant. I need to catch up on the Wayward Children and InCryptid series by Seanan McGuire. And a whole bunch of others on my to-be-read pile (spreadsheet).

Currently Watching: In terms of anime, Nana. In terms of movies, this weekend if John Wick 2 through 4 and probably The Glass Menagerie since Sam Waterston is in it. Live action TV: I tried Bates Motel and I stopped after six episode. I'll try to get back to it.

Currently obsessed with: *gestures at mess of a blog* Arcane, Blue Eye Samurai. Pretty much been, "No thoughts, only Arcane/Blue Eye Samurai."
