Ehem ehem. So, *clears throat* about Anselm in Shadowrun Dragonfall you mentioned,

I didn't know much about the videogame and just checked it out, and THAT WORLD!?!? ANSELM FITS TOO WELL IN THAT AU I'M LIKE WTH!?

Look, I haven't watched the movie, nor played that game but they both clicked for me!

I need your headcanons/ramblings/theories and everything on our German freak man in that AU!

This man is such a weirdo he can fit into any genre and it just works. And Shadowrun as an incredible mix of fantasy and sci-fi and dystopian elements is wild and amazing in itself. But imagine one of the CEOs, the higher ups, the big bosses, the rulers of the biggest conglomerates in the world being Anselm.

this man is all business until he is not

other leaders have no interest in working with him because he is simply to erratic

but they also don't want to be on his bad side for the same reason

they can't predict how Anselm will react to smth

people have tried to overthrow him and take over

those people are dead now

now for a Runner Anselm is a both dangerous but very lucrative employer

he will give out some of the weirdest jobs that pay so well it's ridiculous (and suspicious) but also some of the most dangerous quests ever (with an attitude like it's smth a baby could do)

weirdly Anselm only employs "family" (none of them even look related to him but he calls all of them cousin) but he does hire Runners from time to time

if you work for him multiple times and he likes you (nobody knows what the requirements are for Anselm to like you - it seems to change every time with every person) he will offer you a permanent placement in his company

if you agree he'd be ecstatic but even if you decline he'd be disappointed but would accept it for now ("maybe another time then?")

if you end up working for him, especially if you are in closer contact (like a body guard perhaps) there are things that strike you as odd

not just Anselms normal odd but odd odd:

he is very attached to his weird collection of trinkets where you still don't know what everything is (you swear one of those might be a dildo made out of moldavite???)

one late night you swear you saw the eye behind his fogged up glass glow in the dark

you have no idea what he is inhaling but you're pretty sure it's not actual oxygen

you're pretty sure you saw something shiny on the leg with the brace, like on his skin

so you're pretty sure he's not human

which would actually explain a lot

and well you wouldn't be the first person to work for a fucking dragon

but you'd have never thought a powerful and mighty dragon would ever be this weird

it's fun though, the job never boring and if you end up flirting with your boss and he reciprocates?

well that is between you, your morals, your sense of selfpreservation and your weird dragon boss with the funky german accent
