Hello! This is David-de-Bergerac, and I wanted to just do a small little update for newer people who might be like "this dude doesn't post a lot" and yeah for that I'm sorry. Life has been doing what life do, and it's been hard to concentrate. I want to get back to doing this every once in a while though, at least somewhat more consistently. Mostly my time has been taken up by these goobers

So you know, that's how it's been. Basically, when I have time, and the brain, I'll make new posts here.

While I want to say "hey if you want to help take care of these cats too I have a tip jar" I think tumblr took that away from me so just go check out my youtube because I'm working on stuff for over there too and maybe ad revenue can help us afford food and vet visits for these goobers.

An era has ended 🥲

On this blog's future...

Yuzu and Shoma now have both retired from competitive skating 😭, but they are not lost for figure skating at all! Yuzu already showed us what he had in store after going pro and he offered a whole new world. What will Shoma do in the future? Let's find out together! As Yuzu and Shoma are still skating this blog remains active as of now.

I cannot guarantee you how active it will remain though or how long, but be sure that I will notify you if I am stopping posting altogether.

Thank you for following! Thank you to everyone who sends asks and who messaged me privately. Creating this blog as a platform to share my love for two incredible skaters has been a fun journey, but it would not have been as much fun without you. 🫶

For anything about me and my thoughts on skating and anything related to this blog, you can read my introduction post from July 2022, most of what I said there still is the same today with one big exception that I will not post about competitions on here anymore. I will do that on my main account @jennibeultimate though or on my X/Twitter account @Dornrschen8.

BUT you are still welcome to send me questions about figure skating related things or Yuzu and/or Shoma ☺️

I have some ideas for new projects on Yuzu and Shoma. And I am looking forward to The Sorcerer's Apprentice in Champery to see Shoma live again. ☺️ It hasn't settled in yet that I won't see Shoma in competition anymore and I feel very thankful that I have seen him skate live so often....it will just take time to adjust to a competition world without Shoma...it will surely be different from now on...

I feel blessed to have followed Yuzu's and Shoma's journey for so long and I am looking forward to what the future will hold! Wishing Yuzu and Shoma all the best! Thank you for your skating! ❤️

It was 10 years ago today... 🥳

Ten years ago today I started this tumblr to show my love and respect towards Tina Aumont, she didn't have any website, and I decided to make this tumblr to celebrate her life and success, but also to celebrate her flaws...

Tina Aumont didn't have an easy life, but she was really special and a real free soul and that was the side of her that I wanted to explore here.

Over the years I've been collecting tones of magazines which I'm sharing, I've watched almost all of her films and I'm making screencaps, and now this blog is not only foccused on her but also on her beautiful family.

Over these 10 years I've met lots of people and this site has grown a lot, creating a beautiful community for Tina fans and lovers. Now I'm including her always beautiful mum, her aunties, counsins... and who knows what will come next.

One thing is certain, you are helping me a lot and I really appreciate it because Tina was love, and I try to give you all love Tina had.

I wish Tina somehow could knew about this site, but also all the meaning, all the love and inspiration she is still today.

Tina, we love you and we miss you, we would like to make you know that you are loved and we wish you could have stayed with us a little longer, but now you are with your mum, aunties, uncles, your ancestors and your babies, all together shining in the sky.

Fashion Blog Revivial

It's that time of year again, when haute couture fashion weeks take over the charming streets of Paris. And once again, I find myself unable to share as much on my blog as I had hoped. Last December, I made the difficult decision to leave my job due to burnout caused by a somewhat toxic environment, which unfortunately also exacerbated my autoimmune condition (a truly vicious circle of tiredness). After some rest, I had to go on a job hunt and fortunately, I started a new position last month, with a boss who appears to be very kind! Dealing with burnout also meant my creative energy suffered, but I have finally recovered  after taking time for healing. I sincerely hope you will continue to follow along this time, as I intend to provide more frequent fashion posts! Thank you so much if you still follow along. Wishing you nothing but the best. ♡ ♡ ♡

50 Days of Magnolias and Arson!

Doesn't it feel like longer????

Anyway, the reason I picked MagnoliasandArson as my user/blog name is threefold.

Magnolias symbolize luck and stability, and I'm manifesting good vibes.

I used to draw flowers out of the ash from burnt matches (I was an artsy kid, and couldn't afford charcoals).

My favorite stories are beautiful tales of woe and misfortune- elegant flowers crafted of ash.
