It's decided, Richard is the local friendly vampire lord, interested in the villager's well-being, charming to all the ladies of the village and would ask them about the newest beauty tips, is really intently listening to the problems of the farmers, encourages artists and musicians of the villages, would host garden parties and cozy dinners at his castle, would visit the local school and host a kid friendly q&a about vampires, you need some shoulder to cry on or feel down? Do not fret, Lord Kruspe is here to give you bone crushing hugs (quite literally if he isn't careful enough with his vampire strength) and share his century old life experiences just to make you feel better 😌
you know it really isnt immoral, if you do it right, to raise cows and sheep for meat. so. well. i think there should be a story about, vampires who have a town of humans that they keep well-maintained, so long as the humans donate their blood once a month, like vampire blood farm stuff
but instead of antagonistic everyone's like. no he's a nice man you leave the count alone. he keeps us safe and cared for and he just needs a lil snack now and then, it dont hurt anyone. like a cow that loves the farmer and the farmer that loves the cow, even with both knowing one will end up on the other's table. because its like. its like. cows just have such pretty eyes, you know? they love you so much. i think it should be like that

THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT ABT THE BSD MANGA ILY THANK YOU I FEEL LIKE MY OPINION IS FINALLY VALIDATED WHICH IS: BSD has turned meh. I have become indifferent towards the plot due to the fact there are no real stakes - I feel like the OP characters like Dazai will always have a solution with a deus ex machina feel to it, making it impossible for me to care. With the recent chaos happening in the manga (I too gave up on the manga a year or so ago!), I was baffled to find out I could no longer enjoy it. My memory is poor, and I can't really pinpoint it at the moment, but BSD just... doesn't engage me as it used to. Keep in mind I was an obsessive fan of it and analyzed it to the tiniest details, but all of my great love for the series has long died, sadly. But! I am glad to hear you feel similarly about it because, yes, the potential was there, but it got terribly wasted.
Bruh don't I feel it, me and @autumn-foxfire have like monthly bitch sessions about the state of bsd at this point. I was also super invested in it in initial arcs (Up until the guild arc ended) and then slowly started petering off only to drop it the first time around the hunting dogs introduction. Then after some time i was like okay ill go give it a second shot, came to the vampire arc went 'wow this is really fuckin stupid' and dropped it again. Idk will I pick it up again, maybe I'll just stick to being an anime only, even tho I also have problems with some adaptation things but that's BESIDES THE POINT.
Please click under for The Point
The thing about Kafka is: He's really good at coming up with interesting concepts and ideas and REALLY BAD at executing them in any sort of satisfying way. Like, when I say I only like bsd until the end of the guild arc, I don't mean it was perfect. It could have handled it's female cast better, it would have been fun to see more mafia and agency team ups besides soukoku and shin soukoku, I still don't get why shin soukoku is supposed to be a replacement in training since Dazai and Chuuya still work together perfectly and even if they hate each other they hate each other less than Akutagawa and Atsushi AND have way more experience fighting together but that once again is besides the point. The point being those arcs of bsd were SATISFYING. We got introduced to two organizations, seen them butt heads and then have them forced to work together against a common enemy. It's very simple but it's effective and it's satisfying.
And then the rats struck.
While up until then bsd wasn't perfect it was fun and had lovable characters and an interesting plot and engaging dynamics. Rats arc wasn't horrible per say, the idea of the cannibalization was really fun (Though I think Kafka should have used it to get rid of Mori, nobody fuckin likes Mori) but this is where we slowly get introduced to what I think are two main failings of Kafka's writing: That he's unable to handle characters properly and that he likes writing smart things but doesn't know how to write smart things.
Kafka has a very, very bad habit of INTRODUCING TOO MANY FUCKING CHARCTERS. Every arc is a new massive group with like a bunch of members, one of who may actually end up being fleshed out before they are inventiblely replaced by another large group or maybe two why the fuck not. The mafia and the guild left lasting impressions on me and I can still name all the main members but fuck me if i know a single rat aside from Fyodor (AND ILL GET TO FYODOR). Kafka feels like someone who's idea of rising conflict is 'introduce a bigger enemy each time' and it's just so annoying. Chapters and arcs end up centering around these groups of new characters while old characters, who we loved the manga for, just fall into obscurity. He almost had me in the hunting dogs arc by giving Yosano a backstory. I was so excited! I was like!!! finally development for the agency!!! But that barely went anywhere did it. I've talked about this with Foxy but it really feels like Kafka is just BORED of the og characters and is trying to silently sideline them for his new shiny characters. When's the last time we saw Chuuya again, you know, the ex partner of one of the series protagonists? The next predicted mafia head? Is he important? Foxy tells me Dazai's been sidelined too, fUCKIN DAZAI, for a good while I was sure Kafka liked Dazai a lot better than Atsuhi for protagonist and now he's getting sidelined. I know bsd is still really popular in japan but at this point i think it would have been more merciful for Kafka to just end bsd and start a new manga with new characters instead of doing whatever weird metamorphosis this is turning out to be.
Introducing new characters isn't a bad thing of course, but bsd has become mcdonalds of new characters. They are cheap and disposable. I can't feel anything for them because I know nine times out of ten they'll barely make any impact and they'll disappear as soon as the new group slides in. When adding new characters you should do so while knowing what role those characters will play in your plot, what will they bring. If a character is just there to waffle around until they get shoved away they should probably be cut because they are wasting time and space. AND YOU SHOULDN'T SIDE LINE YOUR CORE CAST FOR UR SHINY NEW CHARACTERS YOU'LL GET BORED OF IN COUPLE OF ARCS ANYWAY, ARE YOU A TODDLER???
I still think that bsd could have been SO much better if instead of focusing on the next big evil group they just focused on shifting tension between the agency and the mafia. I mean they've had to team up for the guild and then they immediately got thrown into the cannibalization. It would have been interesting to see them pull against and pull towards those ties made during the guild arc when they are forcefully pitted against each other again (and decide that killing mori would be in everyone's best interest). Instead we got, idk I already forgot what the rats arc ended up being about, atsushi and aku team up again yadda yadda yadda, Chuuya gets done dirty and never recovers, Fyodor ruins Dazai
SO ABOUT FYODOR. As I said, Kafka strikes me as someone who REALLY likes to write geniuses and who wants people to think he's super smart but also has no idea how to show his work. At first this was okay. We had Dazai and Ranpo who were very good at pushing the plot along and sometimes you'd get explained how they got to that conclusion and sometimes you didn't but it usually wasn't a big deal. But then the writing became more and more and more of 'well he's smart so he figured it out so just trust me' without actually explaining anything and as you said, it ended up feeling boring, unengaging and very deus ex machina. You know what Kafka's writing reminds me off? That video about how Sherlock is so happy to stroke itself to how smart they look while never showing their work, you know the one. Kafka likes writing smart characters but doesn't actually know how to write smart characters so instead of giving us reasons and clues and explanations to how they come to some conclusion, how they predicted or planned or whatever, he just goes 'oh well they are super smart so they figured it out'. I don't think I need to explained why this is bad, annoying and unengaging writing. This is why i say Fyodor ruined Dazai for me, Dazai was fine as a genius but then they had to pit him against Fyodor who's another genius and things just got ridiculous. You know how in that sherlock video the guy points out the one scene that encapsulates every irritating thing about sherlocks writing. This had been it for me and BSD (thank you Foxy for helping me find the panels)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THATS NOT HOW CODES WORK, THATS NOT HOW ANYTHING WORKS, THEY WOULD JUST BE COMING UP WITH TWO DIFFERENT SETS OF CODES HERE. Even if they were both smart enough to remember every conversation in detail, how on earth are they supposed to 'guess out' what the other means. How are they supposed to confirm or deny that's what a certain word means in a way that can be understood, how can they even guess what the word the other guessed is IF THEY ARE BOTH TALKING IN CODE. KAFKA'S ANSWER: THEY'RE MONSTERS, THEY ARE JUST THAT SMART, NO NEED TO EXPLAIN IT BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST THAT SMART AND THAT'S YOUR SOLUTION AND THAT'S BULLSHIT. This scene broke bsd in half for me and honestly made me dislike Dazai for a long time (I got better), but it honestly shows so well how Kafka wanted to make his characters so smart he actually made his manga really fuckin stupid, ruining very good and interesting concept he had started with.
In the end, Kafka writes how I wrote when I was 15. With no idea where the plot is headed, adding new characters and situations whenever it strikes his fancy whether they work for the story or not, ending up just flopping around plot holes and fizzled out character arcs and boring ass writing. And that's fine for a 15yr old writing fanfiction. It's not fine for a presumably grown ass published author of a relatively popular manga.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Thoughts on Legacies Season 3 Episode 1
Warning: Spoilers below, do not read if you are still to watch the season 3 premiere of Legacies.
“We’re Not Worthy”
Tumblr media
Okay so I’m going to start with the acknowledgement that I know Legacies is a different tone to The Vampire Diaries, and that TVD was a different tone to The Originals, I am also going to acknowledge the fact that out of the three The Originals is by far my favorite, with TVD firmly in second place to which I am starting to believe Legacies will never manage to take said place from TVD.
For me the stronger episodes of Legacies are always going to be the darker ones, although I must admit there have been extremely cheesy moments that I’ve found to be a guilty pleasure...however, the overall softer more child friendly tone of this show has been hard to get behind but as a HUGE TVDverse fan, and fanfic writer, I’ve been pushing pass it and it sure does help that we have had several solid episodes per season, just no solid season, in my opinion.
My favorite character in Legacies has to be Lizzie Saltzman, Hope Mikaelson was hard for me to love because of the epicness of kid Hope but now I’m a strong fan of hers, and Josie Saltzman has her moments too.
Now on to the actual episode “We’re Not Worthy” thoughts...
Okay so Hope is MIA once again in another series premiere but instead of the show allowing it as a chance to further the supporting characters I found myself screaming at the television for Hope to just wake up already! (more on her waking up further down) This was an episode very much centered on Lizzie, Raphael, Josie, and Landon with some strong MG moments, and where I normally love any episodes Lizzie centric this one was a total dud for me!
Lizzie reverting to her old self is always a pleasure, especially seeing her protective sister side kick in towards Josie, Josie who just comes across completely ungrateful towards Lizzie, I know their co-dependency has a lot of issues but for me it gives me ugh feelings towards Josie and I know the word ungrateful is strong especially considering I did get Josie’s side but still, I’m glad we are going to have some Josie time out (talking about that further down too) to which I hope allows Lizzie, and her friendship with Hope, my favorite friendship Hizzie to grow, as well as allowing Josie to come back feeling lighter and being more fun as a character in general.
Raphael who is easily one of my least liked characters trying to force Landon to come back to life was some reasonably good filler, Landon’s quirkiness is often a pleasure to watch, especially alongside the over-campy guilty pleasure villain The Necromancer, a villain that could only work in the Legacies format. However, the idea of Landon in Raphael’s body was all kinds of wrong and I’m so glad they did not go down that route, I mean Hope waking up to find Landon in Raphael’s body would just be too cringe, mostly because Haphael or Rope, or whatever shippers call that one, should never happen IMO.
MG is a character who is just kind of there most episodes but then come the odd episode he really shines when given the chance and he really did in this episode, his team spirit was almost inspiring so major points for that and his cuteness.
So, in this episode we find Legacies tackling Camelot, with easily the worst CGI from the show so far, with the worst villain of the week the green knight, and the worst acting Nimue by far!
This is easily the worst take on a rather epic tale I have seen to date it just felt all kinds of rushed and far too much like a theatre play on school that a kid wrote :(
Raphael turning out to have royal blood and being the descendent of Arthur would be interesting if it were any other character like MG for example, but with Raphael’s ill advised sudden love for his best mate’s girlfriend and him being MIA for a lot of season 2 his character just feels very misplaced to me and this plot feels to me like hey he does have a purpose after all, no thanks writers!
Lizzie and MG feel to me like their going down the route of a romance now more than ever, and although I did briefly ship them in an episode in season one I just feel like too much and at the same time not enough has went on for them to just wind up together this season, I’d like to see more growth between them both, changes, and development before they wind up together, if they wind up together but for now I’m not a shipper!
Now when Hope finally does wake up after Landon is brought back to life that whole scene just feels so lackluster, now I know what your thinking one minute I’m like wake up Hope next I’m complaining about her waking up but seriously her wake up could’ve been a bigger moment and I wouldn’t have minded next week’s episode being inside Hope’s mind which I reckon would have been a whole lot less Disney than Josie’s mind, a cheesy episode I enjoyed.
I just feel Handon reunited after one died and the other woke from a coma could have been more romantic or something, I do not ship Handon but they have had some really good shippable moments that I can not deny to the point I cannot deny them having a moment that forces me to ship them, this episode not being one of them.
So, we tackled Nimue’s involvement, Hope’s coma, Lizzie and Josie, Lizzie and MG, Landon’s brief death, and Raphael’s royal lineage which means it’s time to discuss Josie leaving to spend some quality time with her mother CAROLINE (Caroline Forbes easily being one of TVDverse’s greatest characters) Now a break from Josie I think is a great time not only to further herself but others when dealing without her, although I have a feeling her brief departure will not be very long at all.
Any mention of Caroline gets me screaming “Come back, Queen, come back!” and I know Candice King keeps saying never say never so each season I await only to be broken hearted for now two seasons in a row :(
I get actors wanting to pursue other things, TVD was 8 years of that cast and crew’s life and TO was 5, so they deserve the break 1000%, I loved Freya’s return and I was never much of a fan of her character but it felt so needed for Hope and I cried at that reunion unashamedly. Which is why Caroline’s return would mean so much not just for fans of her character but for fans of the twins and finally getting to see mummy Caroline with grown daughters, on that same note bring back Rebekah Mikaelson, crazy aunt Bex would be perfect for a pop in to see her niece Hope.
Overall, this episode of Legacies easily goes into my do not rewatch unless your binging the show as a whole! It does have some great moments such as: Landon’s defiance over being revived, the overall campiness that is the necromancer and Lizzie putting Alyssa in her place, but it also has some horrible moments like Chad’s untimely death (loved him) Alyssa’s non exit, and literally everything Nimue related including the Shrek in armor villain of the week that they called the green knight.
NOTABLE MENTIONS
1) Chad’s dead, again! Only this time I feel like it’s a proper exit for the character, although hoping they bring him back. Love his scenes with the necromancer and even found myself shipping the two (Chad and Ted forever)
2) Josie’s off to see mummy Caroline, any mention of Caroline is notable. (Come back to us Caroline)
3) What the heck is going on with Lizzie’s hair? Is it a really bad wig or just styled so awful? It does not do the character or actress any justice whatsoever. (justice for Lizzie’s hair)
4) The Necromancer is clearly sticking around! Not to mention Alyssa and Raphael are still very much tied to him which we found out by Chad’s death (my heart keeps breaking)
5) MG, who is not my favorite character, is easily the character that shines the most in this particular episode. (MG on the rise?)
Episode Rating - 2/5 (Not the worst, but close)

Chapter Eight- Part Four
Phina woke up in a hospital bed, hooked up to multiple machines. Her head was pounding, her leg, burning. She almost didn't know why, until the memories came back. A tidal wave of trauma that almost swallowes her whole.
"El," she whispers, her voice cracking, "Eleven?"
A nurse, who was checking all of her machines, snaps her head over towards the girl, wide eyed.
"Oh my god, you're awake," she shouts.
"Why is that so shocking," Phina asks gruffly, raising one eyebrow.
"W-with the w-wounds you sustained, and the amount of blood that you lost, we thought you would go into a coma," she explained.
Phina lookes at her, wide eyed, "how long have I been out?"
"Only a few hours since we found you," the nurse says, "which is why I'm so shocked. Oh my god, what am I doing, I'll go get your parents."
The nurse rushes out of the room leaving Phina to her own mind. She was ok, but was El? Something told her that the girl wasn't ok, that something bad had happened to her.
Karen Wheeler rushes into the room, letting out a cry when she sees her daughter, Ted Wheeler walking in calmly behind his wife. Without hesitating, Karen runs towards the redheaded girl, pulling her into a warm embrace. Phina winced, white hot pain lighting through her. She didn't care though, she wrapped her arms around her mother, hugging her just as tightly.
"Oh my god Phina! Why do you have to scare me like that," Karen sobbed into her daughters hair.
Phina didn't answer, she couldn't, her mind was on over drive, the trauma she'd been through, was holding her tongue like a snake holding its prey.
Her mom pulled away, but Phina didn't have anytime to breathe, as three bodies bounded towards her. Mike got to her first, wrapping his arms around her torso.
"Don't hog her all to yourself Wheeler," Dustin yelled, rounding to her other side, copying Mike.
Lucas pushed Dustin over, "you're one to talk!"
Phina yelpes when the intense pain flashes through her again, making all three boys jump away from her. They looked at her wide eyed, but she gave them a calm smile.
"I'm a little battered and bruised up boys," she joked, "you gotta be careful with me."
They gave her cute childish nods, Dustin giving her a mock salute. She saluted him back with a chuckle.
"How's Will," Karen askes the boys.
Phina glances at her mother, and then looked back at the boys, "they got him?"
Lucas nods, "he woke up an hour ago, we were with him when they told us you were awake."
Phina let her head fall back against her pillows, thanking any and every god or goddess she could think of. Will was ok, her boys were ok, they'd all be ok.
She turned her head to look at her parents, "could you get me some water, and something to eat?"
"Of course," Karen jumpes, "is there anything specific you want?"
   "Anything," Phina replies shortly.
Her parents leave the room hesitantly and she waites a moment before she lookes back at the boys, "what happened, after I blacked out?"
The smiles on the boys faces fell, Mike's head dropping so he could look at the ground.
Dustin lookes at the other two for a moment, but sighed and turned back to Phina, "you and El where surrounded by this, this, I don't even know, we couldn't see you.
"All we could hear was El screaming and the Demogorgan screeching, then this blinding white light bursted from the center of the darkness, and it disappeared just as quickly as it came, the black stuff leaving as well. El and the Demogorgan were gone, and you were laying on the floor, burning, like actually burning. You were on fire," Dustin shudders at the memory, "Lucas grabbed the fire extinguisher and put you out, but we couldn't touch you for a good 20 minutes because you were still radiating heat."
Lucas liftes his hand and shows her a little burn mark on his finger, "I didn't even touch you, I was just reaching out to touch your shoulder and the air around you burned me."
Phina held her hand to her mouth, to keep a sob from releasing. El was gone, and she had hurt Lucas.
"Oh god, Lucas I'm sorry," Phina said, reaching her hand out to grab Lucas's burnt hand.
"I'm ok, really. It only stung for a second," he smiled at her.
Phina then turnes her head towards her brother, who had not looked up from the ground this entire time, and she saw the single tear drop from his eye. She gave the other boys a look and they both nod in understanding, leaving the room.
"We're gonna go check on Will," Dustin says.
   "Yeah," Lucas agrees.
They leave and Phina turns to Mike, a sad smile on her face. She slowly moves her body over to one side of the small bed, tapping the spot next to her. Mike doesn't say anything, but he climbs into the bed besides her.
They lay next to each other, their hearts both breaking because of the girl they lost. Phina puts her arm around his shoulders, comforting him in silence. He rests his head against her shoulder, letting out soft cries. She doesn't shush him, just lets him cry. He needed to cry, they both did.
Her own tears finally flowed, for the girl she shared the same past with, for the girl who quickly became a sister to her, for Eleven. She was truly gone, just as quickly gone from their lives as she had entered it. El had lived her entire life in Hawkins Lab and had only experienced a week of freedom, and she was on the run for all of it. El deserved more than she got, she deserved a life of happiness and friendship, but she was given the short straw, and Phina will forever hate whoever decided fate. Why her, why not me, why did you have to pick her.
Their parents come back into the room, but one glance at their kids, and they were walking back out.
Mike's sobs slowly fade into soft cries, hiccuping every few seconds.
"She's gone Phina, she's gone," Mike finally whispers.
"I know," she grips him tighter, "I know."
Mike grabs her shirt, holding it like a life line, "and I almost lost you."
Phina's heart shutters, breaking slowly into a million pieces, "I-I...."
She didn't know what to say, what could she even do to console him? She had almost died, had almost been gone like El, she couldn't imagine what that would do to him.
She sighs, "I know, Mike, I know that what I did was reckless, but I did it for you guys, my boys. El and I, we were not going to let anything happen to you, and we were willing to die for it, for you. I will not apologize for protecting you, never."
"But you promised," Mike whispers, "you have never broken a promise."
Phina nods, "yes, I did break my promise, and I'd do it again a million times to make sure you were safe."
Mike looks up at his sister, "I know you would, and that's what scares me the most."
She smiles at him, "you don't have to be scared anymore Mike, because the Demogorgan is gone, and Will is back, and we will all heal. Together."
Mike smiles back at her, holding out his pinky finger for a pinky swear, "together."
She wraps her pinky around his, "always and forever."
   "Always and forever."
-1282 words-
If any of you watch The Vampire Diaries or The Originals, I'm sorry but I couldn't help myself but use it, it's to cute not to ok. Anyway, hope you liked the Mike and Phina scene, I honestly love it because I love sibling relationships in anything really. Next part is going to be the last of season one, hope you're ready for it.

#coffy... coffy ily.....#it drives me crazy sometimes I KNOW cordy likes buffy hellooo you don't just open up to anybody s01e11#but she's never allowed to express it properly!!!!#sometimes I think about the ted episode. and coffy. and how cordy would've thought everyone was INSANE if she'd been fully in the know#like the fact that no one was taking buffy seriously? and I get it was the weed cookies or whatever the fuck#but even just as it was cordy was fully on buffy's side the entire time#cordy gets the fucking girl code okay#she's the type of girl to carry extra tampons around in case anyone needs one#she's a grade a bitch but also I think about “can you drive me home?” “of course” a lot#also I think it's funny she's the first person to ever mention that it's weird buffy has to play by human rules when she's the slayer#god fucking help me can you imagine her in s5 or s6? the whole buffy never gets paid anything by the council#it's not even MENTIONED it doesn't even cross buffy's mind during the whole “retroactive pay” scene there#that would've been resolved in like 10 minutes tops with cordy on their case about it bc she WOULD think about it especially by then#I just think coffy should've gotten the chance to actually talk#but they never do. ever 😒 (via @camellcat)
OKAY I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS TOO. everyone was totally gaslighting buffy about ted, and cordelia was the only one on her side. plus, willow calling buffy getting exceptions "fascist" is so ridic, there are no societal structures that acknowledge superheroes lol (ok an argument can be made for japanese imperialism since the emperors supposed to be god incarnates, but, you know, whatever). kinda feels like she just said it to be argumentative :/
there are so many moments like that of cordelia being the only one who understands or supports buffy, but because everyone just hears what she says and not what she means ("we're all concerned about how gross you look," "vying for bitch of the year," etc.), they assume she's just being a bitch. by the second season, the scoobies are all way meaner to her than she is to them. like, she calls xander a loser (which he is - and honestly, there's a turning point where that becomes an endearment for her lol) or buffy a freak (which she is! she's "superman." i really don't think she means it in a wholly negative way; again, it's like it becomes an endearment), but she genuinely tries to be helpful. she researches, patrols, investigates, and fights alongside them; she stands up for xander, she even says that she'd still date him if he were a fish monster and he just makes fun of her about it when it was actually very sweet? almost everything out of her mouth is ridiculed, eye-rolled, or she's put down in some way.
ok now this is just turning into a cordelia rant, but: the whole thing with her car being blessed to uninvite angel? she is mistaken about something that is objectively esoteric. she hasn't known about vampires as long as everyone else, and she straight up just doesn't know that this rule only applies to homes. and nobody tells her. they just exchange glances and roll their eyes and act like she's So STupID and sELF-CEnteRed, because she's not in on this niche knowledge??? she mentions it more than once, and apparently they EVEN ACTUALLY BLESSED HER CAR? when they could have just TOLD HER?
back to coffy: in the end, cordelia doesn't have to be there. she's there because she cares about saving the world, she cares about buffy. and they drive her away! xander and willow fundamentally betray her! it's crazy how casually cruel everyone is to both cordy and buffy!
and can you imagine if she were there s4 when buffy is dealing with the roommate from literal hell? she'd totally be like, "buffy, you're right, she sounds like a monster," when everyone else is telling her she's being irrational! again! after they've known that when buffy thinks something is hinky, it (iirc) always is!
anyway thank you for coming to my ted (heh) talk lol i've been watching buffyverse for, like, 20 years, but only got into coffy in the last year so i have a lot of Feelings about them (and cordelia is one of my favorite characters in fiction ever).
i do find it funny how much the writers didn't know what to do with cordelia in "dead man's party."
straight up, they knew that she would be on buffy's side, but didn't know how to navigate it in a way that didn't make her look like a better friend than xander and willow. like, "ok we know she wouldn't actually be mad about buffy leaving🤔 but we can't have her be nicer than everyone else🤔 i guess she'll just be kinda obtuse once while defending her and not talk the rest of the time???🤔🤔🤔🤔"
......yeah you know that cordelia, she loves to stand back and not speak her mind lol
anyway, they should have had a scene together after the party where cordy comforts buffy but in her cordy way. maybe says she likes her dress, but that it's a shame that it doesn't fit her. and i think she'd ask about angel! she wouldn't be all fuzzy-wuzzy about it, but she liked him before he went evil so i think she'd be curious.
you know, i think she'd ask what it was like to kill him. and buffy would be like, "what the HELL, cordelia?!???"
and cordy would get all defensive like, "well, like, was it a total bummer or was it carthardiac?"
".................you mean cathartic?"
"yeah, whatever!" and when buffy doesn't answer, cordelia would say that she's sorry they didn't get the soul thingie to work ("that smudge stick smelled So bad, it sucks that it wasn't worth it. i had to wash my clothes TWICE to get out the STINK.")
and buffy would break. and tell her everything. and for the first time in her life, cordelia would have nothing to say, and just hold her.
