I think about the fact that a big issue post reveal for undercover au is obviously the lack of trust. And I think about Sam & Tucker feeling all bad about it, 50% ("it was probably mostly just trust issues Danny has") and 50% ("was there, something we could've done to show him he could trust us? Something we did that made him think he couldn't? ... Man...")
And so maybe one of them gently asks something along those lines later and Danny's just kinda like ("... I guess,,,, I just,,,,, didn't have a lot of experience,,, with trusting anyone...... All my life???? (Save for my sister?)
And now they're all crying because "man..." Fenton has had No friends, gotdamn.
-
Bonus, if Jazz knew the whole time: but then Sam is like "so you're sister knows?" And before she could say anything Jazz enters the room (she was listening through the door) like "yeah I knew the whole time" and Danny goes through a couple micro expression before settling on "younger sibling stink eye".

The HK comic was very sweet and wholesome and I loved every second of reading it! :3
Also does Dewi give hornet back her thread? Im pretty sure she needs that for silksong when that eventually releases lol
Also to go off on an unrelated tangent/rant, people have been supposedly like up in arms about how "Silksong will never release!" and how "Its taking FORVEVER to come out!" But like.... First of all, its and indie studio. Secondly It was only announced in 2019, which, yeah, was 5 years ago, but with the way people were describing it I thought it was announced like way earlier. And hollow knight was released in 2017, but the way people talk about it makes me think its like a classic from early 2000's or something. Sure, its a good game, but why are people so stuck on the Silksong thing? Like at least you're pretty sure you're probably gonna get a full game when it releases. With other communities/fandoms you'd be lucky to get even an announcement. Like Deltarune for example. Not even Toby Fox was sure he was gonna be able to do it in the first place lol. And if you think 5 years is bad of a wait, imagine waiting for a new LITERALLY ANYTHING WHATSOEVER from Bethesda that isnt the 100th re-re-release gold ultra plus edition of fucking Skyrim again but now on the fucking smart watch or whatever. I'm 90% sure that most of Bethesda's existance as a company has been spent making something for Skyrim instead of working on anything new or original.
Sorry for the random rant btw
Anyways love your art, have a nice day, kay bye imma go die of awkwardness in the corner :)
First off thank you very very much. I am so glad to hear how much you like the Hollow Knight comic. And to answer your question, Hornet allowed Dewi to keep that thread. She gave it to him as a peace offering for helping the bugs get back home and to lead Dewi through the maze like cave. Don't worry, she has PLENTY of thread back in Hallownest.
And regarding the impatience of Silksong. I get it. I am the very lucky few to get into the game NOW. I haven't had to wait as long as the many other people waiting for Silksong to release, and in that regard I am quite spoiled. Yeah, Deltarune won't fully release in at least another 5 years, but I wouldn't want to say I'm morally better for my "patience". Waiting for a game or any kind of media SUCKS. The fandom keeps it alive, but even those can grow stagnant. As long as you aren't harassing the creators or fans of the project, you can be as angry or frustrated or sad as you want. I think it's normal and can help others feel less alone in their feelings as well.
Not to say your points of contention above aren't relevant!!! Patience and kindness are always important to keep in mind with artistic projects. Art is HARD and can be very taxing. I hope I'm not dampening your message. ❤️ Thanks for sharing

hi hi ! congrats on getting all those requests done:D
i habe a request for hypmic if its okay, could you write some headcanons on dating both samatoki and sasara at the same time? especially with the uh rough end to mad comic dialogue, i think it would be interesting having them getting along again and dating the same person. and if its not too much, maybe both sfw and nsfw headcanons for the threesome?
thank you !!❤️❤️ hope u have a great day btw !
Samatoki x reader x Sasara General HC (SFW + NSFW)
Tumblr media
ooh hii star!! thank you for all your kind words <3 I wish you also have a great day!!! writing for poly is so fun and hard in the same time..
NBreader, fluff, swearing, just wholesome stuff;; also teasing, fingering, oral (giving/receiving), threesome;;
SFW:
-Fuck. Samatoki has no idea how he ended up in this shit. And the stupidest thing here is that he actually likes this shit.
-Let's be honest, he was feeling something for Sasara due to the Mad Comic Dialogue era. Even if they don't talk all this time he was still thinking about why his friend changed his behavior so suddenly back then.
-But now here he is. Not only talking with this airheaded clown but literally sharing his precious lover with him! Maybe it's a great opportunity to finally shed some light on the rough end of their duo.. But honestly all Samatoki can't think about is burning jealousy inside him.
-He would be so so envious in the beginning of this polyamorous relationship, as it's all kinda new for him and he still can't understand what he's feeling now.
-When Sasara is so chill about it..! Well if you love them both then why not? He's kinda open minded so he doesn't mind trying something like this.
-"Maybe back then me and Samatoki didn't work out together.." - he sighs, then this casual goofy smile appears on his lips - "But you know what they say? If at first you don't succeed, try triad again..!"
"The heck do you mean?! I'm gonna kill you..!" - Samatoki mumble with soft blush while you start laughing.
-Sasara will always try to cheer up Samatoki with jokes, reminding him of good old days when he annoyed Yakuza the same way. But now you are also here, helping comedian come up with new jokes.
-Your life has become a little bit more chaotic because now almost every day something funny is happening with you three and Sasara's terrible puns adding fuel to the fire.
-So you were a little afraid that Samatoki would soonly lose his patience and just leave you two but one situation changed your mind.
-You were on a little cute date in the library. Bad decision, really, especially how loud Samatoki can be and how Sasara can't keep his mouth shut for more than five minutes.
-So very soon the young Yakuza showed his hot temperament and accidentally hit one of the bookshelves, too angry. Various encyclopedias and journals fall down to your legs.
-"Woah, buddy! You have no shelf control…!" - Sasara whistled but you froze in place, thinking that it's gonna be the last step before Samatoki snapped. He looks at you two with the most angriest annoyance in his eyes, and then..
-.. he laugh. To your (and Sasara's) surprise he just burst out laughing, his pale face softened almost immediately and a slight blush appeared on his cheeks.
-You were kicked out of the library anyway. But as you walk away, Samatoki gets between you two and hugs you by shoulders, still with a wild smirk on his amused face.
-"Hehe, they're such sissies..! Don't let us have some fun.." - he mumbled while Sasara sigh nervously.
-"Aren't you the one who ruined everything..?" - you chuckle without malice but your boyfriend just scoffs.
-"Blame this funny fella, not me."
-He becomes more chill after that, and less jealous. After all, Samatoki can see that Sasara also really loves you and him and all his worries about being abandoned again disappeared.
-And honestly, it's hard to be angry at someone who shows his love and care with such goofiness. Brilliant comedians always have a bunch of half compliments - half puns about your appearance, or just some joke to light up your or Samatoki's mood.
-He's just so silly, you absolutely love to tease him a little. The way Sasara's face becomes hot and red when you interrupt his chatter with a sudden kiss is so cute. Extra points to his shyness if you do this in front of Samatoki who's now smirking at him, asking what's wrong.
-It goes in a circle - these two men teasing you, sitting on both sides of your trembling figure, kissing you passionately, arms roaming around your body, as they can stop to touching you, their pretty darling.. then you and Sasara keep making Samatoki blush with stupid jokes and quick sudden kisses there and there, your arms in his white hair while comedian stroking his trembling hands, and Samatoki tries to act like he's just annoyed, not embarrassed. But you two can hear how fast his heart beats.. And then, finally, you and Yakuza confuse this poor goofy man with more smooches and strokes, his face almost lit red when Samatoki kisses him roughly and you keep squeezing his waist. He even has no single thought or pun to calm down himself.
-But actually every one of you can say that two others enjoy that really much.
-People get so confused sometimes, when with one hand you hold such a cheerful and funny young guy, so many puns break out from his mouth.. when with another one you are holding such a big cold well-known member of Yakuza who keeps piercing at strangers who dare to look at you three strangely.
-But who's give a fuck when the main thing is that you all so happy now?
-You didn't expect but your relationship has become much softer and calmer now, as you three support each other. It even looks like Samatoki becomes more chill with you and Sasara around and Sasara looks more at ease now, as if he wants everything to be like that for a long time.. And your own confidence has risen as now you have not one, but two men who're always ready to listen to your vent and take care of all your problems.
-It's like a comeback of Mad Comic Dialogue, but only for you to see, darling. And for you to reward these boys..
NSFW:
-Your time in bed would be a little bit messy the first few times.
-Samatoki has a habit to get too passionate during sexy times and prefers some rough fast pounding when Sasara likes to be playful, teasing you for some time until you start begging in a whiny voice and only then give you some deep long thrusts.
-So you all have to talk a little first, before you want to have a threesome. And oh god you feel like it was a mistake.
-God know what these two were talking about when you were not with them, but now they both suddenly get down to you, Samatoki keeps your legs spread as Sasara starts teasing you with such light strokes to your crotch, sending tingles to your already heated core.
-You never saw them with such smuggy smirks, Sasara's jokes took such a playful mocking tone and Samatoki got along with that so quickly, also threw in a few teasing comments about your blushing face and pathetic gaze.
-Having one man go down to you is good, but two? It was the best orgasm in your life as you keep squirming around, voice so high pitched as you grasp sheets around you, almost tearing it from intensive pulsing waves of pleasure between your legs.
-Samatoki would like it if you would go down to him together with Sasara. He doesn't want to admit it but the view of these two blushing faces with needy eyes and hot tongues around his dick sends him to heaven. And vice versa, as Sasara also would like a double attention to his throbbing cock from his lovers, he quickly becomes a whiny moaning mess so you two need to hold his trembling legs tight while sucking him.
-And what do you think about trying to take them both, as you kneeling in front of two smirking men, both dicks in your hands as they cooed to you how good and obedient you are?
-If we start talking about oral, why don't you try the daisy chain too? Cause it would be such an interesting experience due to the fact that you all have different paces.
-And to the main act: most of time Samatoki is the one who's preparing you, his fingers so deep inside your wet hot hole while Sasara keep playing with your body, squeezing nipples and leaving hickeys on your collarbone (Samatoki doing the same on your thighs).
-The tower bridge, golden classic. Their favorite position, it doesn't matter who is in what place, as it's just perfect thing to have fun and pleasure to y'all in the same time.
-Sasara learn Samatoki to play with you longer and Samatoki learn Sasara to love fast and aggressive sex so now be prepared for a long night with these two men teasing you in such different but pleasuring ways..

weird q's for writers! randomly generated: 32, 26, 12, and 16
Oh! :D
12. If a genie offered you three writing wishes, what would they be? Btw if you wish for more wishes the genie turns all your current WIPs into Lore Ipsum, I don't make the rules
Answer: Wish #1: the patience to finish a wip before I start a new one. Wish #2: the motivation and inspiration to write, instead of arm-wrestling writers block for control everytime I sit down at my laptop. And wish #3: a book like Tom Riddles Diary, where I can write down any hyper specific research questions for my wip and it automatically spits out the answer so I don’t have to go scrubbing through google trying to piece it together myself.
16. What's the weirdest thing you've ever used as a bookmark?
Answer: just a candy wrapper I think. Piece of loose paper. Scraps on my desk. Nothing to weird 🤷‍♂️
26. How do you get into your character's head? How do you get out? Do you ever regret going in there in the first place?
Answer: I either go back and read comics/media that I like them in. If I’m getting into the head of a specific character, like assassin Spider-Man for example, I’ll go back and read his comics to get a sense of his character. Lol if there’s a specific fic I like that hits the characters characterization spot on, I’ll go back and reread that too to get myself in their head. I think the only head I regret going into is Wade’s and that’s only because he can be so hard to write sometimes XD
32. What is a line from a poem/novel/fanfic etc that you return to from time and time again? How did you find it? What does it mean to you?
Answer: ahhh that’s a good one. Hmm, let me think. There’s not a lot of specific lines I save when I’m reading, mostly paragraphs, plots, or ✨ vibes ✨ if I had to go by one recently that’s been sticking in my brains, it’s this description Peter has of himself:
“If we went out in public together, no one would be looking at my ghostly underfed gremlin ass.”
Why? Idk I find Peter referring to himself as “ghostly underfed gremlin ass” is so funny and his self-esteem issues appeal to me 😂 it’s from “Teeth” by Grouch that everyone should DEFINITELY go read because everything Grouch writes is amazing and “Teeth” is my most recent obsession.
Thank you for the questions!! They are delightful to answer :3

Alright, almost the new years or is actually the new years for some people! Happy New Years, corpupine btw! We are getting closer and closer till that speedpaint or whatever video where you answer questions and for Ch4 to start (I don't know how early is early January though, I am still excited nonetheless). Now I got your comic back early 2022, as well as the Fatal Error comic coming back in Jan. or Feb. I think, and Heart and SOUL coming back in Jan. All really good comics. Oh yeah! ^_^
Oh yes! Happy New Year 2022 to you as well!
I'm answering this a bit late because I just got back in town after vacation. It was good! Much needed I think.
Unfortunately, the way I've been progressing on the comic, the video and chapter 4 are probably coming out in very late January but most likely in February. I'm continually trying to make progress, but this is the part of the comic process where I tend to work the hardest but experience the least amount of return. In other words, I'm a bit burnt out already and the year's only just begun . . . yaaay?
So, as I continue to progress I will update you on if I need to push the release dates back further. Thanks so much for your patience in all this! I'm glad to be included in your list of good comics that you're excited for. This new year is going to bring many new adventures! Thanks for reading <3

Ok, if anyone haven't noticed before, due to the amount of atla stuff i've been rebloging recently, I was rewatching atla after a long time. And now I'm on to tlok. Except for season 1, I haven't rewatched anything from tlok ever. Especially s2, which i hate.
So, I'm gonna live blog. I'm sorry for all my followers that couldn't give a shit about it. But i’m tagging it as #pris rewatches tlok so feel free to block
some thoughts on The Legend of Korra season 1:
- first thought: i love all the ways that Korra is so different than Aang
- I know I learned to love Tenzin with time, and I think is because it took me a while to realised how everything we know about him is what the narrative (and also him, I guess) wants us to think, not exactly how he actually is. We are constantly told how Tenzin is calm and patient and wise but we keep seeing him being nervous and impatient and making wrong decisions ( some of them completely biased and stiffed). And I learned to love him when I realised that he has (and us as an extension) this idea of what a airbender should be, and he tries to be that, he tries really hard to be that, but is not who he is. And I think this is more explored in s2 and s3 (I love his contrast with Zaheer)  but I'm getting ahead of myself. So... to cut things short, I appreciate how the narrative keeps telling us how calm and collected Tenzin is and then keep showing us how he is not.
- Mako, my boy Mako. On the first episode when he appeared I was like "why do I hate him, again?" and then 2 episodes later I'm like "oh jesus Christ will you shut your mouth!!!?"
- Lin, is a perfect human being, never done anything wrong ever in her life. (And I must confess, her voice is so sexy)
- the whole thing with Pema is so 😬
- i recently read a fic where in different occasions Sokka and Toph (or was it 2 different fics? Who knows?) complains that pro-bending is lame, is not truth to the real spirit of fighting or bending or whatever, and that earth ramble was the real thing. And although I agree that pro-bending brought something new to the styles of bending (you can see by the way the characters moves that there is not that clear distinction between the bending elements in their style of bending anymore, not like there was in atla. And I don't know if it was proposital or a mistake/laziness by the team), I must say so that is so cool to watch!!! I would definitely be a fan of pro-bending if I lived in that world.
- Lin sacrificing herself to save Tenzin's family? That's the shit! That scene haunts me in my dreams till this day.
- knowing how this romance plot is going to end is what's keep me going, honestly. Every time I have to see Mako and Korra interact in a scene I just get this nervous laugh.
- we haven't gone through the other seasons yet but I feel like Amon was the dude who had the best plan. The guy thought and planned his moves and I admire that in a villian.
- not to compare tlok to atla but...... I feel like the new avatar team misses a guy like Sokka. The plan guy, the guy with the ideas. And not just a person to have ideas but a person who think things and how to do things. I feel like this new team avatar just reacts to stuff. That's why their opponents are always ahead of them, because they never think things through. And I know that this is particular to Korra's nature, she's impulsive and always tries to strike first. (Alot like Zuko in s1). But they needed someone like Sokka in the group to balance things out. And I don't think any of the new avatar team is like that. Not even Tenzin.
- general Iroh was kind of the idea guy, and a good one, but he also only appeared for 3 episodes and never again. So... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- btw, he deserves the name he was given. That dude never stopped even when the odds were all against him. I never checked for the tlok comics but I think I should. I would love some spin offs of the United Nations forces. Would love some stories with Bumi and him, please and thank you.
- to be honest I don't like how Korra got to airbend in the end. She couldn't airbend because she was never in the face of danger or because someone/something she cared about was in danger. It was always because she never listen, she never had patience. Or whatever it was necessary to airbend. Like Aang, when he couldn't earthbend, he couldn't do it because he was never willing to stand his ground and face things head first. And he was only able to do it when he finally stood his ground. But Korra, Korra only did it because the narrative needed her to.
- not gonna lie, that ending with Tarrlok and Noatak? The saddest thing ever.

Hiya, i was wondering where you would reccomend a star wars fan wanting to get into the EU should start, im particularly interested in mara jade, thanks! I love your blog btw x
HI! I see you’re a recent addition to my randomness! Welcome!
The EU/Legends is a bit hit or miss quite frankly. Since you know about Mara I’ll assume you know about Timothy Zahn’s original Thrawn Trilogy, Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, & The Last Command. If not, start there.
As for the rest…. the old EU didn’t have a cohesive story group till much later in its life so the authors would pick and choose from other people’s work and usually get other authors OC’s characterizations wrong.
There are a few interesting books that spring to mind. The Truce at Bakura, Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor, The Courtship of Princess Leia (goes a bit OOC but the worldbuilding is A++), Tatooine’s Ghost (for your Han/Leia feels), Kevin J Anderson’s Jedi Academy Trilogy if you want to read Luke starting up the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV–doesn’t really hold up for me on reread but a first-timer might find it interesting). Do you like x-wing pilots? Do you like Wedge Antilles? The X-Wing Series by Michael A Stackpole and the Wraith Series by Aaron Allston are fun.
Were you left wanting after watching Solo? Try The Young Han Solo Trilogy, The Paradise Snare, Hutt Gambit, & Rebel Dawn. A much more satisfying back story for my favorite smuggler. There is also another trilogy but its just random adventures set between the other books but they were written first and are more space adventure then character building.
But, as far as wanting to read more Mara, she only appears briefly in a few books (more like cameos). Has a small part in the Corellian Trilogy, Ambush at Corellia, Assult at Selonia, & Showdown at Centerpoint.
Otherwise, you have to go back to Zahn go get any good Mara stories. She as a few solo stories and comics: Alliances (novel), Choices of One (novel), Mara Jade -  By The Emporer’s Hand (comic), & if you can get your hands on any of the Tales Of books she has a few short stories in Tales from Jabba’s Palance (Sleight of Hand), Tales from The Empire (First Contact - which is more about Talon Karrde then Mara but it is when they meet) and Tales from the New Republic (Jade Solitare).
Then there is the Hand of Thrawn Duology, Specters of the Past & Visions of the Future where those of us who had to wait for each book to come out finally had our patience rewarded with Luke and Mara getting together LINK as you need the wayback machine to find it. And the last of the EU pre-story group era, Survivors Quest which is Zahn again and is all Luke and Mara sharing an adventure together.
Everything past The Duology is Del Rey as they took over the rights from Bantam Spectr. Del Rey’s era can be broken down into 3 main storylines with multiple books in each.
New Jedi Order (NJO)  22 Books/short stories
Legacy of the Force (LOTF) 15 Books/short stories
Fate of the Jedi (FOTJ) 9 Books
Mara appears in NJO and LOTF SPOILER she doesn’t make it out of LOTF
A lot of fans lost interest at NJO but I love them! They added so much more drama and character building to what had become a stagnant world. You can only fight the Empire so long before it gets old. Other authors had tried to bring in new villains but none lasted more than their own books or were quietly pushed aside when they failed to get readers interested. But an extra-galactic invasion with aliens that use biotechnology was interesting and new! Tested the characters in new and interesting ways and gave them new perspectives on morality and the Force.
The LOTF is where even more fans abandoned ship and is where Disney!canon got most of its inspiration for the Sequal Trilogy but the EU did it better.
FOTJ is kinda weird but if you made it all the way to this point you might as well keep going!
The last EU book to be published was Crucible which was supposed to be a farewell to the old characters (Luke, Han, Leia, Lando) to make way for the next generation. There were even book on the list that would follow this setup but…
Tumblr media
And everything was canceled and the EU turned Legends, was retired and Crucible was like the last hurrah instead.
I never got into the prequel era so I can’t recommend anything from there, but if you want the full list of books try here. A bit of a daunting list but ask around to see if any are worth your time.
Thanks for the ask! I’m always up for sharing my love of Star Wars Legends!

Another Interview!
Readers, I have been lucky enough to get another interview with an Archie Writer. His name is Bill Vallely, who is currently self publishing. His book, Tips to Prevent Dry Eye...That Work! Is coming out this January. It’ll be done in graphic novel form, with some jokes to lighten up the subject matter,  and looks super interesting, so be sure to check it out even if you don’t have dry eye!
Anyway, without further ado, here it is!
Susan Michaels:  Tell me more [about how the relaunch of Harvey Comics was your idea].
BV: Back in the late 80s, my writing partner, Mark McClellan, had a roommate who was connected to Jeffrey Montgomery. Jeff was looking to start a comic book company. I suggested that Harvey Comics had characters everyone already knew (Casper, Richie Rich, etc) that were stuck in legal limo. Why roll the dice to create something new when properties that were well known were just sitting there, gathering dust? Montgomery’s business model was to focus on marketing Casper t-shirts, mugs, key chains, etc. Later he decided that the real money was in feature films and Direct to Video films.  BTW, I'm getting ready to release my first self published graphic novel - "Tips To Fight Dry Eye ... That WORK!"
SM: Wow, I really like the cover for that! Here are some questions I have: (If there are too many or you can't answer, just let me know)What was your favorite/least favorite franchise to write for in the HB Archie? What was your favorite/least favorite character? What was it like writing for Archie, as a whole?SusanISo I learned that one of the characters, Scrappy, who was disliked by the fandom, had a new version of the character in hopes of “reviving” him to the fandom, but in the end was unceremoniously dropped after slowly having more infrequent appearances. Is that true? What's the story behind that?
BV: No question, my favorite character to write for was Mr. Spacely in “The Jetson”. He had an energy and anger that made him a lot of fun to write for.  What I loved most was working with the most underrated man in comics, Sid Jacobson. Sid co-created Richie Rich, Little Dot - most of Harvey’s characters. (Casper started as an animated cartoon. That Casper was very different from the one we know now.) I’ve never been very fond of Casper. He always struck me as being kinda mop.
SM: Casper's older then I thought...do you know anything about the aforementioned Scooby question?
BV: Well, Scrappy did wind up being the bad guy in the Scooby Doo feature film.He was an attempt to bring life to an old franchise that had mixed results. There are those who loved Scrappy - and then there people like me.
SM: Gotcha. I was talking about his Archie incarnation-I heard that the "animosity was too great" and things went south from there?
BV: This was a very weird period for me. I had been hired to be Humor Editor for a comic book version of Penthouse Magazine - it was called "Penthouse Comix". I was editing Adult Comics during the day and writing Yogi Bear at night. I was largely out of the loop then.
SM: Oh, got it. That must have been quite intense. While we're still on the subject of Scooby though, do you remember a villain you created called "The Gray One"?
BV: That was mine.Yup.I wrote that story mostly to create a secret agent called "R.U." I did that strictly so I could write the line, "Scooby Doo, where's R.U.?"
SM: I noticed in the story the Gray One's perception of the gang was a little...skewed, and since sometimes other writers of the comic had the gang acting rather differently, I was wondering if that was commentary on that.
BV: I wanted to play with the formate a bit.Try pushing the characters in directions they hadn't gone before.Telling a story from the criminals point of view, then finding out that he was fooled all along, struck me as being fun.
SM: It was.
BV: What I wanted to do was show that all the villains the Mystery Machine fought in the past had ganged up to take down our heroes, but sadly that was not to be.Aw, you only said that because it's true.
SM: Yep! So past villains ganging up on the Scooby gang? What happened to that idea? I mean it doesn't seem to have seen the light of day, but what happened there?
BV: The thinking at the time is that kid comics couldn't handle extended story-lines. Each comic had to be a complete story, never refereed to again. What can I say? They had a point.A six year old buying a comic is a very different animal than a 45 year old comic book collector.I was happy that Sid allowed me to get away with as much as he did.
SM: It's odd, because some of the stories (I don't think they were yours) took a very adult direction...did having the infamous comics code in place ever make anything else difficult?
BV: The Comics Code had largely died in the 90s. Marvel had stopped submitting to the CC.Besides, if anything, I was more of a censor than anyone else.I always remembered that I was talking to 6 year olds, and tried to keep the comics appropriate for that group. After all, they were sold on racks that said "Wholesome Family Entertainment."The average comic sold 30,000 books. With a 3 to 1 pass along (that's other kids who read their friends comics) that's close to 100,000 young minds reading the book. Before turning in a script, I would imagine a football stadium filled with children. Is there anything in my story that I wouldn't say to those kids on a PA system.I have no problem with adult comics. Hell, I helped made them. But they have to be clearly labeled. I've never been a fan of sneaking things past the editor.
SM: This is kind of a silly question, but did you see anyone who worked at HB studios? (I know they probably just licensed it, but I was wondering just in case) Also, for that "Dry Eye Tips Book" did you do  that illustration? I really like it! So you mentioned that you wanted to push characters in new directions, how was that? (I did notice a more sensible Scrappy and a less bland Fred, but I want to hear what you had to say-and I’d like to apologize that these are Scooby-centric-old comics are difficult to come by and Scooby were the ones I happened upon more of) Did any other comic series push characters in new directions? Which Scooby villains did you want to bring back?
BV: Back in the day, I mostly wrote in my living room in Los Angeles. I rarely showed up to the office.Yes, I drew all the illustrations in "Tips To Fight Dry Eye ... That WORK!" And if you could mention that the book is coming out on January 1, 2019.  The next Graphic Novel I want to do is on President Warren G. Harding. I know it sounds dull, but Warren was the original G. O. Party Animal. The book would be sex and hootch and Red Hot Jazz. You're having trouble finding these books? Not half as much trouble as I am.About pushing the characters in new directions, I wanted to do it in a way that stayed true to the characters. One story that I wanted to do, but was shot down, was to have Judy Jetson fall in love with some romantic mope from another dimension who said that one second would her would be worth the end of all worlds. She runs away to smuggle herself to his dimension, while being chased by the cops. She discovers that the cute guy lives in an anti-matter dimension. If they touched, both dimensions would be destroyed. Judy thought the guy was spouting the nonsense boys tell girls - she didn't know he was serious.I was told that was a little too dark.I did a Magilla Gorilla / Yogi Bear story, strictly to show the differences between the two characters. (Yogi is a selfish, charming, lout while MG means well but causes trouble anyway.)I wanted to watch the entire run of the first incantation of SDWAY, and have them all in a room, plotting revenge. Cooler heads prevailed. All the villains, that is.
SM: I’d be happy to mention your book! (I don’t have dry eye, but I do love that cover XD) I don’t have many more questions. So you wanted to go strictly off of SDWAY series, then, but as a result of the higher ups the comic series wasn't continuous with any of the cartoons? Also, if they didn't want you to watch the shows, how did they have writers familiarize themselves with the material? Or were you given creative freedom there? Also, what would’ve happened at the end of that Jetsons idea you had?
BV: I wasn’t confrontational with anyone - I didn’t have to be. H/B was lucky to be edited by the most under-rated editor in Comic Book history; Sid Jacobson. Back in the 1950s, Sid improved the art at Harvey Comics, and the rest of the industry followed suit. Sid was always willing to listen to any idea, then improve on it. It was a happy time - I’d work with Sid again in a heartbeat.OCT 20TH,
SM: Sorry for implying that there was anything confrontational going on behind the scenes. That wasn’t my intention when I asked. So what I was intending to ask when I was curious about the execs and continuity was if, timeline-wise, that meant it was unconnected from the cartoons? (If it is, no worries-I’m mostly just curious-if a bit pleased that either way, it seems that the infamous Scrappy-Doo Era and said character’s cartoon personality were not a thing here) This one is about your book-so is it all going to be in the form of comic, a semi-story with the dry eye symbolized by the little devil? So I asked what your favorite/least favorite character was. What was your favorite story that you wrote? What happened to Richie Rich that put it in legal limbo? (All I know was it used to be Harvey comics, then it became a cartoon for a few years) Thank you for your time and patience :)
BV: Jeff Montgomery and company viewed the characters as products to obtain movie contracts and sell T-Shirts. He viewed the comic book production division as a necessary evil - until he decided we weren't necessary any more. What he didn't understand was that, while the comics didn't make as much as a single Richie Rich Direct to Video Movie, they were the engine that kept the characters alive. Without the funny books, people forgot about Richie and company.
SM: Yikes.
BV: On the day we were fired, I walked into Jeff's office (while he was in the middle of a meeting with someone from Paramount) and stole his equipment. Staplers, pens. That kind of stuff.
SM: Then what happened?
BV: He pretended I wasn't there and nothing was happening. I loudly stated "I'm stealing this ... and this ... this is mine now". I kept that stuff, too.1
SM: Wow, that's-wow! XD
BV: It's the reason I'm self publishing these days. I guess I could get work if I begged. But the best I could hope for would be to insulted, paid a $40 page rate, and maybe make the company rich.Self publishing is no more risky, I have a lot more freedom, and the potential rewards are high.
SM: I did not know that! That's a really funny story, by the way. Also, do you have any answers to the other questions I wrote about above?
BV: Shoot them past me again.
SM: So what I was intending to ask when I was curious about the execs and continuity was if, timeline-wise, that meant it was unconnected from the cartoons? (If it is, no worries-I’m mostly just curious-if a bit pleased that either way, it seems that the infamous Scrappy-Doo Era and said character’s cartoon personality were not a thing here) This one is about your book-so is it all going to be in the form of comic, a semi-story with the dry eye symbolized by the little devil? So I asked what your favorite/least favorite character was. What was your favorite story that you wrote?
BV: 1. No, they had no relation to the cartoons at all. 2. My book is a graphic novel - told entirely in comic book form. I'm doing that because Dry Eye is an unpleasant subject to discuss. The comic book format will make the story clearer and more fun to read.  I have a fondness for "Escape From Nyak, Nyak, Nyak." I had to move to New York to work for a company I wanted nothing to do with. That story was my goodbye to California and Harvey.
