The door slammed, causing you to jump in surprise before hearing a duffel bag hit the floor. A sigh fell from your lips before realizing Rin was home from practice and by the sounds of it, he had a terrible day. You gently set down your textbook before standing and heading into the kitchen to find Rin searching through the cabinets obviously trying to find something to eat despite his sour expression.

“…bad day?”

His eyes narrowed at your comment but said nothing as he continued to find something to eat.

“Did you want to talk about it?”

“No,” he said quickly before turning his back to you.

Shaking your head, you came up behind him before encircling his waist with your arms. You gave him a light squeeze, catching him off guard.

“Why don’t you go take a shower,” you suggested. “And I’ll start us dinner.”

Almost immediately, his body relax before hearing a sigh escape his throat. “…okay,” he mumbled. “I’m sorry.”

You planted a kiss to the back of his neck. “Shower first, food second, and we’ll talk more after,” you instructed before shooing him toward the bathroom.
