osamu likes to get me little things here and there, really any time he sees something that makes him think of me! lots of times it’s flowers, especially when the wildflowers are blooming ‘cause he prefers to pick them himself. he also knows i like little mystery boxes so sometimes he’d get me some of those to open together. <3

perhaps cliche but italy! i especially want to go to rome, but he wants to go all over the place. i think the first time he brought up italy and i agreed, he gave me a list of like 40 cities or towns he wanted to visit. i told him we wouldn’t have enough time and then gave me another list, but only brought it down to 30 places…

Murderbot has been, for the past four years or so, my annual comfort read. I'd never really managed to imagine what the characters might look like though, and while that in itself is not usually a disadvantage, it does sometimes lead to me not quite being able to distinguish between certain characters. Your blog has changed that, and for that I thank you. I love how you depict ART/Peri, Murderbot's facial expressions, and Three's general befuddlement ("this is not protocol"). I'm on FT now, having gone through ASR, AC, RP, ES, and NE on my 2023 read, and I have your blog on quickaccess, for match-and-read. Thank you again. ☺️☺️☺️

OK SO, to design u in ppg I need to know, what do you consider to be your most prominent features so I can exaggerate them properly

like for me the thing people tend to notice first are my big glasses and big ol schoz, so i exaggerated them, as well as my hips. what would that look like for you? (I'll also use your drawings of yourself as a reference ajjsjf)

So mainly the features I tend to exaggerate/think are most noticeable are my square-ish head/jawline, big eyebrows and big nose. My nose is like, hooked sorta but the bridge isn’t a smooth curve it has a bump? It’s hard to explain in words so like

When I draw my nose I haven’t…found a good way to stylize the bump LMAO 😭 so I just default to a kinda generic cartoon ‘big’ nose. so if you find my snoot shape is too difficult to stylize feel free to do the same thing!

I also do kinda tired-ish eyes w eyebags/eye lines underneath bc god gave me resting misery face

Hair is long & kinda messy/layered it’s kinda boring overall. I do have a cowlick that makes my side bang a nice swoop so that’s always fun to draw bc it’s like my one feature that’s actually Cartoonish hehe

Overall I’m fairly short, a lil pudgy & kinda hourglass-ish but like if u put an hourglass under a hydraulic press for a few seconds. like a peanut basically LMFAO

Also u can go absolutely buck wild with the outfit. literally do whatever u want ur sense of fashion is impeccable & I trust ur judgement (if that’s too vague & u need sth to work with tho I do favor muted teal & blue colors!)

Something Special For Amethyst (Amedot Fanfiction)

Summary:  (Takes place after Reunited) After Lapis Lazuli returns from being in space for the past 2-3 months, Peridot feels inclined to do something for her favorite quartz, Amethyst, who has been there for her for the past few months. So Lapis and Steven help Peridot do something special for Amethyst.

Notes: I hope you enjoyed this Amedot fanfic. There was two things I wanted to write post-Reunited, and both were amedot related, this being one of them. I hope this isn't too bad. Also I know this wouldn’t be canon in a million years. I hope the idea of this would be canon, but I don’t know. It most likely won’t. I’ll just pretend it’s canon for now, I guess.

Before Lapis came back, Amethyst was always there for Peridot. She always comforting her, always encouraging her, always there. Even though she missed her best friend, whenever she was with Amethyst, she had this tingly feeling, that she never had with Lapis. She felt like she could be herself, and that she didn’t have to hide who she was or be overly happy and overly bubbly for Amethyst’s sake. Steven came in to the beach house to find Lapis and Peridot sitting on the couch, talking. Lapis seemed interested in Peridot’s ramble. “Hi guys!” Steven waved.

“Hey,” Lapis smiled. “Peridot was just telling me about improv, and how fun it was.”

“Yeah. Things got really intense during her scenes with Amethyst sometimes,” Steven said, knowing that Amethyst and Peridot did get really flirty on stage. Everyone was aware of the fact they were flirting, except for them.

“I’d have to watch it sometime then,” Lapis enthused.

“Speaking of Amethyst.., where is she?” Peridot interrupted.

“I think she’s in town, or at the forge with the others,” Steven answered.

Peridot sighed, “Ughhh.”

“What’s wrong, Peridot?” Lapis asked, noticing Peridot was slightly tense.

“I just.. Feel bad..,” Peridot admitted.

“How come?”

“She’s done so much for me.. And I haven’t done anything in return,” Peridot reflected.

“She always enjoys your company,” Steven insisted.

Peridot blushed. “She does?” Peridot asked.

“Yea! Why do you think she hangs around you?” Steven asked.

“Out of pity.”

“No. Because you’re her best friend!” Steven insisted. “You know how Connie’s my best friend? Your hers.”

Peridot blushed, “O-oh, right.” She cleared her throat. “I want to do something for her.. I want to give her something.. I want to make her feel how she made me feel.”

“Happy?” Steven asked.

“I suppose,” Peridot answered, not knowing any other words.

“Want me to help?” Lapis asked, feeling a little left out. “I know me and her haven’t gotten along in the past but..”

“Of course, Lazuli,” Peridot interrupted.

“I can help too!” Steven insisted.

“Wow, thanks,” Peridot acknowledged.

“So what does she like?” Lapis asked.

“I know she likes food, human activities, and comedy,” Peridot responded. “Hmmmm…” Peridot got up. “Steven, do you have some paper?”

“Of course!” Steven responded. He stood up on top of the couch, and got a piece of paper from one of the shelves. He handed it to Peridot, he also handed her a purple marker.

“Here.”

“Thanks.”

She sat down and took the cap off the marker. “Hmmm…” She started writing, ‘Amethyst, thank you for everything. I know I haven’t done much, and I feel bad. You mean a lot to me, even though I haven’t shown it. You do. -’ “I have no idea what else to write..”

“Maybe write how you feel about her?” Steven asked.

“It’s hard to put my emotions into writing and context, Steven.”

“How come? You’re pretty emotional..,” Lapis smirked, teasing Peridot.

Peridot glared at Lapis, “I am nothing close to emotional! Take that back!”

“You literally got choked up and threatened to leave when I said you should be the pearl,” Lapis argued.

“Because I’m nothing like Pearl!” Peridot cried.

“Sureeee,” Lapis smirked.

"CLOD!" Peridot cried.

Lapis laughed.“Anyways, how does she make you feel?”

“She makes me feel a lot of things that I’ve never felt before,” Peridot admitted. “Like whenever I’m with her, it’s hard to stop smiling. And when I’m with her, it feels like everything’s okay, even when it’s not. When I’m around her, I feel like I can be myself, and I don’t have to hide who I am.”

“Well.. write that,” Steven suggested.

“Oh um okay.” Peridot continued writing ‘It’s hard to explain how I feel, because overall I’m not really a overly emotional gem, but when I’m with you, I find it hard to stop smiling, and it feels like everything it’s okay. Even when it’s not. I feel like I can be yourself, because you like me. You like me for who I am, and I can appreciate that. Even though Lapis is back, I don’t want things to go back to how they used to be. I still want to do improv, I still want to hang out with you, I still want to garden. You’re my best friend. Thank you for everything. ~~Peridot.’

Peridot looked up, her face was a deep green. “Peridot.. Are you okay?” Lapis asked.

“Yea.. I am..”

Steven whispered into Lapis’ ear, “Peri has a crush I think.”

Lapis whispered back, “I thought it was pretty obvious.”

Steven and Lapis giggled.

“What?” Peridot asked, flustered.

“Nothing!” Steven lied.

“I want to do more than just a card..,” Peridot clarified.

“What about those flowers you guys gardened together?” Steven asked.

“What about them?” Peridot asked, confused.

“Maybe make something out of them,” Steven suggested.

“Like what?” Peridot asked.

“A mini bouquet?” Steven suggested.

“No. That would be overdoing it,” Lapis answered, quickly shutting down Steven’s idea. “How about a single flower?”

“Not a bad idea, Lapis.”

“What flowers do you guys have?” Steven asked.

“Roses, peonies, daisies, tulips, carnations, asters, lilacs, orchids,” Peridot listed.

“Well she did say roses are a little controversial one time,” Steven pointed out.

“Right..,” Lapis sighed, still shocked and slightly somewhat hurt by the fact that the gem Steven held in his navel wasn’t a Rose Quartz, it was Pink Diamond’s.

“How about a peony??” Steven suggested.

“Hm. Okay.”

~~a few hours later~~

Amethyst came in to see Steven and Lapis sitting on the couch. Steven was showing Lapis something, and Lapis looked amazed. “Heyyy Stevo, Lapis,” Amethyst smiled. “What ya doing?”

“I’m showing Lapis some of my stuff!” Steven responded. “This is the first time me and her have actually hung out since..”

“Since I destroyed the boat your dad was renting,” Lapis said. “Sorry about that by the way.” “

You only destroyed it to protect me..,” Steven reminded.

“I still feel bad..”

“Where’s Per?” Amethyst asked. “She’s usually with one of you two, when she’s not with me.”

“Hold on.” Steven got up and walked up to the bathroom door. “Peridot, she’s home.” Peridot opened it, she had a piece of paper folded up into a card in her hand, with a peony in the other. Peridot walked up to Amethyst.

“Oh hey Per!” Amethyst waved. “What do ya have there?”

“Here,” Peridot blushed, handing Amethyst her card and flower. “I-it’s for you.”

“For me? Huh?” Amethyst asked. Amethyst opened it, and then read the card out loud - “Amethyst, thank you for everything. I know I haven’t done much, and I feel bad. You mean a lot to me, even though I haven’t shown it. You do. It’s hard to explain how I feel, because overall I’m not really a overly emotional gem, but when I’m with you, I find it hard to stop smiling, and it feels like everything it’s okay. Even when it’s not. I feel like I can be yourself, because you like me. You like me for who I am, and I can appreciate that. “D-did I do something?” Peridot stuttered, nervous.

“No, it’s just..,” Amethyst stammered. “I love it..”

“You do?” Peridot asked.

“Uh, yeah! Nerd!” Amethyst gushed. “And this peony is so pretty, Per!!”

“Hehe.”

“But, Peri, you didn’t need to do all this,” Amethyst said. “You know that, right?”

“I know but..,” Peridot blushed. “You’ve done so much for me. And.. I just wanted to make you feel how you made me feel.”

“So I made you feel gushy and goopy?” Amethyst asked, teasingly and implingly flirtatiously.

“U-uhm,” Peridot stuttered. “Is it a good thing that I made you feel that way?”

“Dude, literally nobody has complimented me like that, in that way!” Amethyst answered. “Of course it’s a good thing!” Amethyst wrapped her arms around Peridot’s stomach, holding Peridot close, showing her gratitude and affection for Peridot. Peridot’s mouth opened, surprised by this, but then she nuzzled her face into Amethyst’s shoulder.

“Awww,” Steven smiled, gushing over how cute Amethyst and Peridot were. The end.
