In a perfect world, someone else would be on Kevin duty today. “You are literally a vampire,” Aaron grouses. “You don’t need sleep. How the fuck are you so bad at getting here on time?” “I am immortal,” Kevin says patiently, as if what he’s about to say is reasonable instead of—undoubtedly—infuriating. “Time is irrelevant.” Yep, Aaron was right. Fucking infuriating. “I will stake you,” he grumbles, then wraps his hand around Kevin’s wrist. “Come on, we’re already late.”

It’s not every day that you go monster-hunting and end up with a pet vampire instead. Aaron really just wanted a dog, but he supposes this isn’t so bad.

(It’s not every day that a monster-hunter finds you, and instead of staking you, brings you home and teaches you how to do laundry. Kevin’s not sure what he wanted, but he’s glad he got this.)

a gorgeous piece i commissioned from @kirnet of my lavellan lamenting her life

i know the wolf/halla dynamic are always talked about but helle is so halla coded. soft and silent until she needs to be swift. can be spooked easily and either flees or freezes. has the means of defending herself with her knives like halla antlers. wary of people and not slow to trust. same hair colour.

the hands represent her guilt at allowing her clan to die, yet they are never truly gone bc they gnaw at her mind. she only has her sister now who she thought also perished but (un)fortunately survived bc she had been tracking helle.

and ofc the wolf!!! the eyes in the lake!!! i am truly obsessed with the eyes in the lake, as if solas is always watching here even if he's not present.

truly helle is never alone yet she is always lonely.

•Favorite flower?

•Who does she side with over the artifact fight, if they were physically fighting?

1- tbh i dont think she really has a favorite? pre-worm mina doesn't really have the time to think about smaller things like that and post-worm mina is too busy trying not to slaughter everyone to give attention to much else. i think once she gets ahold of her urges (and after she gets rid of them) she becomes fond of night orchids (because she associates them w shadowheart). she also like glowcap mushrooms (im AWARE they're not flowers, but its close enough)

2- corny answer BUT bc she associates it w karlach's engine (and karlach herself) she enjoys the smell of the hells + machinery in general. shes also fond of vanilla and likes sitting near jaheira's tent when they camp together to smell whatever incense she's burning.

3- mina does her best NOT to sleep actually, what with the whole murdering ppl in her sleep thing. when she does fall asleep its usually on accident and almost always near karlach (the amount of times someone has caught her sleeping on karlachs shoulder while karlach tries her hardest not to move is ridiculous). once she gets the whole sleep-murder thing worked out she prefers to sleep on hard surfaces w no blankets (karlach is enough of a space heater i think)

4- when the artifact fight happens mina is still super disoriented and frustrated w her lack of memories (she's like. the DEFINITION of fake it till you make it in terms of trying to be a good leader for the little pack of strays shes gathered together), and I think she's still incredibly unsure of both shart AND lae'zel's intentions as a whole (not to mention her confusion regarding the artifact itself). things don't dissolve into a physical fight, but she does side with shadowheart just because she's traveled w her longer and has built up more of a relationship w her.

5- mina makes it a point to keep in touch with jaheira, despite jaheira not being known for her amazing communication skills. it becomes a sort of a game for the two where jaheira will do her best to go mia only to recieve a letter from mina not even a day later being like "OLD WOMAN YOU SUCK AT HIDING. DO BETTER. also i hope you're doing okay. BUT ALSO MAKE SURE YOU SEND YOUR CHILDREN A LETTER AFTER ANSWERING MINE". aside from jaheira, she also frequently checks in on shadowheart and makes sure shes doin okay in her little cottage. her and karlach meet up with her every other weekend to catch up and make dinner together. once lae'zel stops being bound to her comet duties she also joins them, shadowheart's cottage kind of becomes an essential meet-up spot for their little group. the others even make their own appearances from time to time (shadowheart has caught astarion and jaheira not-so-subtly trying to steal some of her wine on more than one occasion).

This might sound stupid, but have you ever considered giving some of the characters in your drawings imperfect teeth? I sorta have headcannons that Mina has a gap between her front teeth and that Denki has a chipped tooth! I also love how you give Bakugou gauged earrings in your art-style in reference to the Fantasy AU and was wondering what types of specific headcannons you have in your art!

Some neat ones I noticed were:

Bakugou with faint moles on his face and neck

Ochako having orange ombre on the longer strands of hair (My personal fav)

Hawks having claw-like fingernails (and painted black too!)

Mirko having piercings on her ear

Todoroki has small strands of the opposite hair colour on the wrong side (Like strands of white on the red side and vise-versa)

Toga having pointed ears! (Another fave)

I probably missed some, but those were just cool details I noticed in your art! <3

i’ll include it all under the cut so that this post isn’t too long!

i usually tend to give midoriya a slight gap between his front teeth, tho i suppose i could stand to make it more prominent. i kinda draw it the same way cody from total drama has a gap in his teeth! the most ive done aside from that is give some characters fangs (hawks) or sharper canines (bakugou). i think kaminari having a chipped tooth is actually a cool idea, especially since i had one of my own growing up lol!

aside from what u listed, i like to make mina’s tongue blue solely because it stands out against how pink she is and makes for good contrast

todoroki’s scar has a dripping effect to it since i assume the kettle water poured down his face a bit before his mother could reach him to take care of it

i draw kaminari with freckles because i think it suits him, and ive been thinkin bout giving some light ones to hawks as well

for kirishima i draw three light scars on his face around the bridge of his nose/cheeks, a small reference to his hero costume’s mask placement since i think it would dig into his skin after so much use

i also like to add bakugou’s first war arc scars, as well as explosion marks around his hands from excessive quirk use. and ive been meaning to include scars on his arms to reference the deku vs kacchan fight now that ive gone and rewatched the series!

in canon, touya has very prominent eyelashes when he’s younger, and when he’s older as dabi they’re burned off. but i like to keep them as a slight nudge to who he used to be, even if it doesn’t particularly make sense for them to be there. i just think it’s a nice touch!!

@naturecalls111 prompted me kevaaron + massage when i needed a warmup prompt bc she is the best. waves hands this is a vague au and heads up for some suggestive content ahead but it's just prelude vibes lmao

The thing is. The thing is that Aaron’s hands, while smaller than Kevin’s, are firm. It was a fuck of a thing, coming onto this team after two years of Volshan’s huge, bone-cracking hands, and being told this small blond with sharp eyes and a clever, pretty mouth would be the one helping Kevin with keeping his body well-tuned.

He certainly feels like an instrument right now, strung too tight. Everything is taut. He’s only halfway sure it’s his muscles. The rest of it might just be him, here, right now, in this moment. 

“God, what have you been doing to yourself?” Aaron mutters. He digs his thumb in deep, and Kevin can’t help the low, guttural groan that rings through the air. Aaron pauses. Kevin buries his face in the bed.

“Well, clearly that needed some working out,” Aaron says. He resumes his motions, pausing only to re-lotion his hands, and it’s just - Kevin is just -

Kevin is a fucking professional, okay? You don’t get onto as many teams as he has—let alone at the international level—without going through the team PT’s hands a time or twenty. But it’s just.

Aaron’s kinda funny, see. He's got this dry, quiet humour, usually pretty cutting, and these blunt remarks that make Kevin snort even when the recipient of such a remark sends him an injured look. The breakdown in relations with his teammates is worth it when Aaron sends him that little smile. And Aaron is smart. Obviously, medical professional, but he likes trivia and has opinions on the best way to hide a body (“My something-in-law,” he says once, in the world’s vaguest lore drop. “He’s got a variety of skills.” Which, like, ominous? If Jean were here, he’d be telling Kevin that the fact that Aaron clearly being related to some sort of serial killer isn’t flagging his boner at all means Kevin truly has taken too many Exy balls to the head. It might be true. Doesn’t change the fact that his boner remains undaunted and his neck prickles whenever he hears Aaron enter a room, so aware of him) and confiscates Kevin’s Exy racquet when he catches him at the court too late, but doesn’t make him go home. 

Which is how they end up here, actually.

Aaron says, you’re going to injure yourself, don’t be a fucking idiot. Kevin says, I need to get better. Aaron says, you’re already the best person on that court, you perfectionistic fuck. Kevin grins at him, quick and fierce, then remembers himself, and says, I can always get better. Aaron arches an eyebrow and says, not if you blow out your knee trying to conquer the world. Kevin wants to argue, but Aaron reaches over and tugs his Exy racquet free, placing one hand on Kevin’s bicep as he does so. Kevin is so struck by it that he lets him. 

Aaron says, you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to go back home. Kevin doesn’t ask how he guessed or what he’s implying. Kevin asks, what are you doing here? And Aaron says, checking the office. Thought I could get some paperwork done.

And Kevin asks, do you want company? And Aaron looks at him, expression a little unreadable, then says, yeah, okay. Come on, Kevin Day.

And he goes. And Kevin follows. 

And now here’s Kevin, getting an impromptu massage because Aaron narrowed his eyes at the way he was moving his left leg. And now Aaron’s fingers are moving up the back of his thigh, digging in, and all Kevin can think about is how badly he wants those fingers to be digging in because he’s holding on. Because he’s pulling Kevin down on him, clutching at him because he doesn’t want to let go. Or because he’s clinging to Kevin’s shoulders for dear life while Kevin proves to him that all his chat about the stamina of champions isn’t just chat. Kevin’s not picky. He’s just losing his mind a little, maybe, with how it all feels right now.

“Did you want me to do the front?” Aaron asks. “I can check your knee.”

Kevin shakes his head quickly. “It’s fine,” he says, but Aaron is frowning at him. He moves around the bed to face Kevin, and Kevin can’t escape his gaze, lying down as he is.

“Are you sure?” he asks. He presses the back of his hand against Kevin’s forehead—if he thinks Kevin has a fever and benches him, Kevin is going to be absolutely insufferable, especially because he’s fine, he’s just horny. Then he does something so completely unforgivable, and flips his hand absentmindedly, cupping Kevin's jaw. 

Kevin lets out a low whine.

Aaron steps back, and Kevin goes, “Shit, sorry, it’s—Keegan bruised me there earlier.”

The look Aaron gives him is unconvinced, but he nods. “Okay,” he says. “I'll just do a warm down then, if you’re sure.”

Kevin swallows, nods.

But then Aaron's hands are back on him. Gentler this time, for the most part, but digging into softer flesh, more tender spaces, and then—

Kevin makes a kind of gasping noise as Aaron’s hand slips a little, a little too slick from the lotion. Aaron’s apology is swallowed up by the gasp, but then cut off completely as his hand brushes against Kevin’s hard dick.

“Oh,” Aaron says, and then, “Is this why you were being so—Kevin, it’s fine. This is really normal. I promise I've seen it before.”

Appallingly, Kevin’s first instinct is to indignantly ask “Who?!”; however, cooler heads prevail and he says, “Uh huh.”

“No, I promise,” Aaron says. His voice is a little strange, but there’s sincerity in it, Kevin can tell that much. “I know it’s just a reaction, it doesn’t mean anything, it’s natural.”

Kevin blames Jeremy, who is the least honest but most sincere person he knows, for what comes out of his mouth next. Jeremy, who never tells anyone shit but is always so encouraging for people to be open with their feelings. It’s his fault, Kevin decides, because Kevin’s stupid fucking mouth decides to say, “I wouldn’t say anything.”

Aaron goes really still for a moment. Kevin is still not looking at him, so he only knows this from the sudden lack of breathing. Then, finally, “What?”

Kevin huffs, then turns over. No point hiding it now that they both know he’s hard as a rock.

It's embarrassing, but he’s said it now. He can’t unfuck that. So he stands his ground instead. “I wouldn't say it’s entirely meaningless.”

Aaron’s looking at him. Mostly his face, but he glances down at his dick, and Kevin feels it stir with interest beneath the attention. He's about to feel embarrassed, but then Aaron tilts his head, and his eyes darken just a shade, and Kevin thinks—oh. Kevin thinks, maybe this isn’t such a lost cause after all.

Laksa, is it hard to be a doctor for so many differing species on board the ship? Or do you most deal with putting bandaids on scraped knees, so it doesn't come up so much?

Well, I can tell you I’m no doctor, not even for my own kind. I never wanted to pursue that extent of knowledge and responsibility - I was in my early studies of becoming a nurse when Vort was taken over - but it quickly became necessary to step up and learn as much as I could when the Resisty took me in. New recruits and rescue missions are a mess most of the time. I stay up late researching whatever I can about whoever comes through the med bay. It’s not always so bad. But I have to be prepared for anything.
