You weren’t sure what a date with Billy Hargrove would entail. You had heard the rumors about the new King of Hawkins High – how he took a different girl home every week, and his sleek, blue Camaro was permanently parked out at Lover’s Lake. You were shocked that Friday when you were alone in the auditorium running through light cues, and Billy approached you.

“Tommy’s not here,” you called to him as he walked down one of the aisles. Tommy Hagan had been charged with sweeping up the auditorium during the lunch hour for two weeks after playing what he thought was a harmless prank on a freshman on the basketball team, and you were sure Billy had come looking for him.

“Is it just you in here?” His question caught you off guard, but you tried not to let it distract you from your work.

“Yeah. Did you need something?” Billy sat down in the chair next to you, and you finally looked up from your stack of cue sheets to see his signature smirk and cerulean eyes, deep like the ocean. You could smell his spiced aftershave, a hint of cigarette smoke, and the cool aroma of winterfresh gum as he leaned in closer to you.

“I just came to see if you’re free tonight.” Billy smacked his gum as he rested an arm over the back of your chair, awaiting your answer. You froze, unsure if this was a mistake or some kind of cruel joke.

“What for?” You searched his expression for any clues as to what he might be thinking, but it was unchanging.

“To go out,” he answered nonchalantly. Your breath caught in your chest, and crimson heat crept up to your cheeks.

“Like…on a date?” He had to have noticed your blushing and the perplexing look on your face, but he kept his cool completely.

“Of course.” He beamed, his blinding smile causing your stomach to erupt into butterflies.

“With you?!” Billy’s exterior cracked slightly with that question. He looked offended, almost irritated, and he started to fidget with something in his pocket.

“Look, if you don’t want to –”

“No!” You cut him off in a hurry. “No, it’s not that at all. It’s just –” He looked intently into your eyes as you tried to find the right words to explain your bewilderment. “I guess I didn’t think I was really your type.”

Billy chuckled and looked down at his shoes before meeting your eyes once more. “Well, I guess there’s a lot you don’t know about me. I’ll pick you up at, say, 8 o’clock?” The voice in your head was screaming don’t do it; you know better, but everything else in your body reacted in the complete opposite fashion.

“Sure,” you agreed softly. Billy smiled once more before standing up from his chair, taking smooth strides toward the auditorium’s exit.

“See you tonight,” he called over his shoulder, never looking back. You heard the door close after him, and all you could do was stare wide-eyed at the wall while you tried to process what had just happened.

Of course he brought you to some random clearing in the woods. You were sure he was either about to murder you or try to get laid, and you couldn’t decide which one was worse. You assumed a date would occur somewhere conventional, like the movies, a restaurant, or the mall – not here at…an overlook? You tried not to let your apprehension show as Billy shifted his car into park.

“Well, here we are,” he declared, opening the driver’s side door and climbing out of the car into the chill of the starry night. You were surprised again when you heard the passenger door opening just a few seconds later, and he helped you out of your seat, steadying you on the uneven ground.

“Where is here, exactly?”

“I’ll show you; come here. And be careful. There’s a lot to trip over out here in the dark,” he warned. That didn’t make you feel any better about the possibility of being murdered, but you didn’t have much choice but to hold onto his arm as he led you to a guard rail at the top of the overlook.

“Wow,” you murmured. Every single light throughout the town of Hawkins was visible from where the two of you stood, and it was absolutely breathtaking. You had never seen so many shooting stars, and the deep navy sky was littered with sparkling clusters which were usually totally camouflaged under the umbrella of downtown’s streetlamps.

“You like it?” Billy sounded hopeful, like he actually cared whether his choice pleased you, and you nodded. He let out a small sigh of relief, and he slowly took your hand from his arm, interlacing your fingers together. The setting was more romantic than you had expected, and you couldn’t shake the nagging thoughts in the back of your mind that something was still amiss.

What if he had taken you here just so no one would see you together?

What if he was ashamed to be with you?

“Billy?” The anxiety in your voice must have been obvious because you felt him tense up beside you.

“What’s wrong?” he asked.

“Nothing at all,” you half lied. “This is amazing. It’s just – are you embarrassed to be seen with me?”

“What?” The hurt in his tone tugged on your heartstrings. “No…no, why would you think that?” His other hand covered the top of yours, and he turned to face you. You could hardly make out his features in the dim glow of the city lights below you, but you could feel his concern tainting the atmosphere.

“I guess I expected a date to be somewhere more public. And when you took me to a hideout in the mountains, I was worried it was because you didn’t want anyone to know we were together,” you admitted, avoiding his eye contact. His warm hands squeezed yours just a little tighter.

“Hey, look at me,” he soothed. “That’s not what this is. I didn’t want anyone to interrupt us. I wanted to be alone, just the two of us, so we could talk. You know, have real conversations. I’m so tired of my dad, my coaches, Tommy, Troy, and everyone else breathing down my neck, criticizing every decision I make.” Billy cupped the side of your face, grazing your cheek with his thumb. “I don’t want anyone getting in the way of something that could be really, really good for me.”

Your scarlet flush returned at his reassurance. You never would have dreamed Billy could be so gentle, so emotional. But he wanted to be here with you, marveling at this beauty, and it was the start of something wonderful.

“I believe you. I’m sorry for assuming. I’m just not used to things like this,” you whispered. He closed the distance between you so that your noses were touching, and you could feel his breath against your lips – a cool, winterfresh breeze.

“Do you want to be together? Like, as a couple?” Billy almost seemed nervous to ask you, but you were elated, answering him without wasting another second.

“Yes. Of course, yes.” You couldn’t stifle your grin. You felt sunshine in your chest, and you didn’t know what else to say in that moment, but everything felt perfect.

Billy leaned in slowly, his lips connecting with yours in the sweetest of first kisses. Time slowed as the two of you connected, and nothing else mattered while you basked in his warmth, stars showering overhead as the town of Hawkins slipped into a slumber below you.

ooo!! well, when i first made cable for class, he looked like this:

i knew i for sure wanted to give him a harness bc i thought that would be real cool (and also to suggest he’s a little,, y’know 🥴)

and then when i decided to play cable for the campaign, i wanted to redesign him to better fit the world. at the time, i had no idea what his backstory would be, and i texted my sibling, “i need to redesign cable for a dnd campaign” and they were like, “please make him slutty” in reference to his outfit. and i was like,, actually, y’know what? YEAH. so i decided to apply that to cable’s character and backstory, hence i made him work at a brothel, and i designed his fit like this LMAO.

so that is where my brain went. leather? chains? belts? alright!! and a collar of course. the horn jewelry was also a given because i looooove tiefling horn jewelry, and making it gold goes with him being red. i also wanted to give them makeup and heels. i love someone who just exudes confidence in what they wear, and i needed cable to have an “i know i’m pretty and i wear what i want, fuck you” attitude aUGSHSJ

i also knew i wanted to give them tats, but didn’t decide how heavily tatted he’d be until i saw someone on twitter with a bunch of tats, and i was like— yes i need cable like this immediately.

It takes time to undo almost three decades of bad learning from his dad, but he's teachable, and he's willing to listen. He's still very insecure at times, and he definitely cares what people around him think of him, but you make him feel safe, so he's always willing to be vulnerable with you.

I think Suklha would have a certain relationship with a few of them, her view towards the characters are unique.

I'd like to imagine Erlang, having the determination to break the corruption within the heavenly court. Create a deal using Suklha's power once in a while, supporting his ideals and ambitions despite being in the dark. While Erlang is more confront and blunt with his ideas, Suklha is discreet and uses manipulation tactic to make others fight for her. "Its not cowardice, its strategic" she'll say.

I like to say, their relationship is like Ares and Athena. One is a god of war while the other is the god of strategic war or wisdom. One completes the other but at the same time, wants no part in dealings with the other's behavior. They're like siblings who would support once in a while but also hate eachother, Erlang having trouble using his third eye since Suklha likes to use certain word to lie but also tells the truth. (Doublespeak) Meanwhile Suklha always irritated at how bloodshed hungry Erlang is once in a while, even managing to blame her for his own actions.

There are two reason why Suklha believes their relationship are unique. They're both insectoid families and Centipedes are a motherly insect.

Knowing their history and past life's, Suklha gained sympathy towards the spider family. Putting aside any trickery and gambling she has, just to aid them. Put an ease towards the misery their life is heading, even if its not a lot its still enough to gain Suklha's care. She acts more like a grandmother and protector towards them, sending a few deities who dares to play with the spider family away with her bargaining.

Violet is probably the most closest amongst all, besides a few of the sisters. she's the one who talks to Suklha the most, all her fears and woes and worries poured into the centipede's ear. Suklha is a good consultant, a little bit blunt and harsh but her words are good and full of wisdom.

In comes the fourth sister, an introverted and rebellious lady who would fight for the freedom of her own family. She barely talks to Suklha, preferring to watch her from afar than personally. the fourth sister adores Suklha discreetly, she learns about her from her own sister's and mother's experience. She even made a promise to herself to one day be as spiteful as the Centipede.

Suklha knows about her, a few words from violet and the other sisters helps her get a grasp on what kind of person the fourth one is. Yet, she never misses the way her eyes linger a little longer towards her monkey companion. With all the respect that she has, the fourth sister feeling is the main reason why Suklha post-poned her answers towards Wukong's proposal.

Theres a second reason too, just like Bajie and Violet. She knows the celestial court deems her more as a demon than a deity, an extraterrestrial primordial demon wreaking havoc amongst their realm, for such a thing to be in a relationship with the god of trickery. It'll be the birth of natural disasters they believe.

I like to imagine the celestial court puts the purple talisman on the spider family, not long after Suklha's death.

With the Bull being a sworn brother to Wukong before his numerous faults, Suklha knows a lot about the bull king. They've bonded a few times, the bull king and Suklha sharing their thoughts once in a while. That is, before he submit himself to the celestials. Suklha looks at him with disdain and pity, theres nothing in her heart besides the feeling of guilt.

One or twice, she tried to bargain with them, yet they all refused. Perceiving Suklha as a trickster, one much more cunning than a fox demon. Despite the benefits and the close relationship both had, they prefer cowardice than sacrifices.

Same with both Red boy and Princess iron fan, they both refused to accept her lending hand. Preferring to keep their own theories and trauma, letting it fester to their own dismay. Even at the end of Suklha's death and Wukongs end, they still choose to keep their eyes close. Living in their own fear.

I believe Red boy tried to kill Suklha a couple of times, believing shes a damsel in distress that sits besides Wukong. It should be easy to capture her and eat her body is it not? Oh he's a bit wrong at that.

Safe to say their relationship is a bit distant, Suklha have a sense of pity for what happened to Princess Iron Fan, but at the same time, she feels offended at how she's constantly turned down just because "a fox might be the contender for your slyness" is what she uttered whenever Suklha forced them to accept her support. The family is blind, stressed and neglected, the traits that Suklha hates the most. Which is why she kept her distance.

Im still in the midst of watching the game, unfortunately i cant buy it since its pretty expensive in my country's currency. 😭 forgive me if some is like different from the plot, im using the main JTTW ideas to make sense of it all.

Tim is juuust white and twinky enough(but not nearly as much as fanon Tim enjoyers seem to think) on first spec for a lot of ppl to project on, so he gets...idk let's call it diluted. Short answer is that canon Tim would drop kick fanon Tim for speaking about Jack Drake the way he does.

Long rambling analysis is that fanon Tim leans into his time as Red Robin(because it's the only Tim comic they've read IF they've read it) which was more supposed to be a story of how someone behaves when they are so deep in their grief that they literally can't see which way is up than a display of how Tim normally behaves and thinks. Everything else is just kind of.. assumed filler based off of what his wiki says. As a result Tim gets written as this shy, spineless, borderline megalomaniac child who is ignored and undervalued when in 85% of canon he's the complete opposite(nu52 Tim is a blight). Where fanon Tim is a genius prodigy, canon Tim is the average smart kid with a big mouth who chose to be a hero. He had to contend with the knowledge and fear that he is not on the level of the other heroes and adapts to it by bringing antagonists to his level instead of meeting them where they are. He's interesting because he literally has to think differently but he's written as Bruce junior for some reason.

Also, unlike most of the batfam, he has(or had) strong ties to his civilian life, and had to find a way to balance them, something that is completely ignored in fanon when that was his appeal in the first fucking place. Instead, fanon warps his parents into these grotesquely neglectful charicatures to justify the truth of Red Robin when again, Red Robin was about grief through the lens of an unreliable narrator. Jack and Janet were just... parents? They were neglectful in the way that any teenage superhero's parents have to be so that they can be a superhero on the DL, and he loved them. Taking that away takes away the impact of their deaths on him, and strips away yet another element of his character. Also, I literally cannot overstate the impact that Steph had in Tim's life. Because ppl want to ship him with other male characters, their formative and thematically integral relationship gets tossed to the side along with all of the nuance that came with it.

Because I can't stop talking I also think that fanon Tim is also probably tied with Dick when it comes to suffering from the poor attempt at TMNTing of the robins- i.e. Dick is the face, Jason's the angry one, Tim's the smart one, and Damian's the fighty one while Steph&Duke don't exist because I guess there aren't any more one word traits to assign them. Tim is very smart, yes, but hes not the smartest(because obviously area of expertise is a factor) or the best detective of the Robins- and DEF not the smartest of the Batfam by any measure of intelligence- and it certainly isn't his defining feature like fandom wants ppl to think. He's got other things to him that are more interesting.
