oh my goddd finn infodumping tiiime!! this is gonna get long i have a feeling so buckle upp!

10. what inspired this character’s creation?

i have, wanted to play a lost knight so bad for so long! like, all my characters are either wanderers with no attachments who are upset or people who are running from something who are also upset. for finn I wanted them to pursue something instead and I wanted that pursuit to be interwoven with the instinct to protect! so even tho finn starts off with amnesia in the campaign and does not know their purpose, i'm hoping the person they are supposed to protect (i pitched it to the DM as a princess but I've given them full narrative control over molding that to however it fits their worldbuilding!) will show up and that'll mess with finn's head!

35. when did they feel loneliest?

probably when ae discovered that aer princess, someone they were. deeply in love with and were supposed to protect... had been murdered. (and before they even get to process this, they had been framed for said murder.) but because they are bonded magically to the princess as this homebrew subclass i took as a ranger called Witchguard, ae know that the Princess is alive. so up until the amnesia hits... ae believe its a kidnapping.

36. how do they fidget?

probably pulling at the threads at the end of their scarf, which is already torn in one side. and when they're fidgeting they keep shifting their weight from one talon to another, feathers quite literally ruffled.

45. what lies do they tell themselves?

ooooof this is. oooof. finn, i think, is overconfident and believes that every trouble that comes their way they can cut it down, that there's no problem they ever met they can't solve with a blade. also that that they're out on this quest out of a sense of duty. not anything else.

58. how often do they swear? do they mind when others swear?

i think they swear a normal amount, like if they are around other people they wont swear but if ae are around their party they'll swear it really depends on the circles they are in! i think they used to mind if people swore in front of like, the higher-up royalty bc there's this whole image to maintain,, but now they dont mind bc they are very far away from those people.

65. what would their go-to karaoke song be?

i LOVE THIS actually i am SPOILT for choice its either Thousand Miles or. OH OH OH GOT IT ae will be drunk-singing Shallows karaoke by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga insisting on singing both the parts with exaggerated dramatic moves.

tbh jack i'll keep it real,,,... finn was born out of my, intense need to play a tragic knight hopelessly in love with their princess, for better or for worse. there i said it. its the beau complex. 😔✌️
