Supreme Replies are replies that demonstrate a several lack of awareness and thus, are utterly ridiculous (like the "no u" you've mentionned) and ultimately don't make any sense.

"why is she always talking about Willy damn it. Let's give another witty comeback : I wear my sins proudly (wait does it means I'm proud to have slaughtered people to come here? Oh, I'll let Hubert deal with those details) for they are the reason i fight to free Fodlan from the Goddess's so called jugdment (wait does it make sense? Okay, in itself, this isn't a Supreme Reply - but you realise that in the same map Petra calls herself "the will of the Emperor" forgetting her allegiance to Brigid and the current situation... who lacks self-awareness?

A special one that doesn't come from a Battle :

Claude There's only one goal for grave robbers like these. Right, Flame Emperor? You're here to steal the treasure that rests within the Holy Tomb. Flamey For a fool, you catch on quickly. Those Crest Stones will be ours. That infernal power, which is masquerading as a medicine but is truly a poison, will plague this world no longer.

She insults Claude who only asks a question, and the mumbo-jumbo about medicine and poison - but I want to disqualify it, because the mumbo-jumbo that would qualify as a Supreme Reply is a lolcalisation goof to avoid sheding more light as how Flamey actually wants to use those stones laying uselessly there "neither medicine or poison" aka who could either be used to do good things, or bad things.

of course when we know what they are, we know they are not "uselessly" laying there :)

Besides, we all know what Supreme Leader thinks of the faith (she even apparently changes her pov only after talking to Manu), so this is basically... talking to say nothing.

Then this (it doesn't really count though, since it's not a "reply"!)

Lysithea. How unfortunate that a talented woman like you should throw her life away on a pointless battle.

"I hope she won't hold it against me when I tell her defending her home and country is pointless."

That chapter we all know and love (i know, no "no u"!)

Rhea : An ancestor of the Hresvelgs, who became Adrestia's first emperor… He saved me. Supported me. Gave his all to the cause of defeating Nemesis. That I should find myself here at Tailtean, striking down his scion… Supreme Leader : I don't advise presumptions, Rhea. I will not die by your hand.

"Why the fuck is she still raving about Willy. I know, he was stupid and dumb and saved it instead of letting it die. I know all of that! Stupid Willy. Anyways, I'll just cut her saying something cool."

In itself, that line isn't material prime to be a Supreme Reply. However, by the time you reach this penultimate chapter, Supreme Leader's feelings about Nabateans have been made clear (either in her sekrit history talk, or in both of her and Hubert's supports), they are creatures incapable of having human feelings, and later on, she textually says they are beasts who don't give a fig about human lives.

So here, Rhea angsting about Willy contradicts what she thinks, a Nabatean can have "human" feelings like sadness and regrets. But instead on focusing on those, or even saying some stuff like "yeah sure you miss my stupid ancestor because he was a pawn you manipulated, beast!", she only focuses on the witty "i will not die here" part.

Supreme Leader : So it's true. You don't value human life at all. Isn't that right, Immaculate One? Rhea : Nonsense! Fools who do not accept their own sins are undeserving of salvation! You humans are the ones who betrayed! You betrayed me, and you betrayed my mother! Supreme Leader : I did not betray you or her. I never believed in you from the beginning.

(the never believed in "you" is a lolcalisation change? In the JP version, it feels like she is more general, and says she never believed in the beginning)

"Rhea : you betrayed me and my mother the goddess"

"Supreme Leader : your mother isn't real"

Again, when the opportunity presents itself to discover more about Fodlan and what Rhea means by betrayal - but more important is Supreme Leader's "I never believed from the beginning", like, what is even the link with the betrayal Rhea's raving about? When you betray someone, it's because that someone put their trust in you, right? So Rhea is saying she trusted humanity - Supreme Leader says in reply that she never believed in Rhea, but that's like trying to fit a circle in a square - where's the link?

"You betrayed me" "I never trusted you" "uh.. yes but I did? This is why I'm calling you a traitor? Because you spat on my trust?"

To be honest, I'd say I prefer the last one !

She centers the conversation on herself, dodges the implications of what her foe is saying, the line is nonsensical and wants to feel cool and we have the bonus "retcon" : she never believed in the CoS and its faith to begin with (when apparently she did in her support, she prayed when she was Solon'd?).

So I'd say, for the podium :

I have been a witch for a long time but only been a heathen for a few years. I have a really hard time doing things in my practice because I feel people do what they need to do. You do a money spell when you need one, read the tarot card when you're unsure of where to go next or want to know what the future holds or where your lost item is or want to talk to deities. I dont really need anything right now or even need help from deities. Yes I like my deities and I like talking to them but my life has been lacking spirituality lately and I don't know how to get it back since I don't need anything. Deities can be there efir support but I don't even need support. I don't know what to do. I can talk to them via clairaudience too so I don't even need tarot. I guess I just need a reason to do things other than needing something if that makes sense. You ask questions and get support for things and do spells but when happens when u don't need any of those things cuz ur stable and your life is stable. I def think about them but I haven't talked to my deities in a while and any time I might wanna do a spell I just feel like I only come to them when I need something and I feel rude. Do you have any tips or ideas of things I could do or ways I could change my mindset? Thank you for your time.

It's possible that the reason why you feel stuck is because you're conceptualizing Heathenry similar to how you conceptualize witchcraft: As a utility.

Witchcraft is defined by how it's utilized—as a system for accomplishing certain tasks and achieving certain outcomes. Your practice is defined by what you accomplish with it.

Norse Heathenry, on the other hand, is a spirituality informed by the customs, practices, superstitions, folklore, and worldviews of pre-Christian Nordic societies. It describes a way of thinking, feeling, conceptualizing, and interfacing with the world inasmuch as it describes a pantheon of gods and their mythology. What you do or don't accomplish with is sort of besides the point.

I rarely go to the gods to ask for things...and I could stand to ask for their help more often than I do, to be honest. Instead, the reason why I talk with them on the regular is purely because I want to. I find the experience super neat, and I'm curious and want to know things: How they're doing, the ways they think, what's currently on their mind, what secrets of the universe they can tell me, etc. These are things they're always happy to indulge me with.

It goes the other way as well. When Loki, Bres, Brigid, or whomever drops by, it's rarely because they need me to accomplish something, but because they like spending time with me and want to know how I'm doing.

I say this to illustrate that you can have all kinds of relationships with deities without your practice being less heathen for it. In fact, I know a number of people who don't really do a whole lot of work with deities at all, and may instead focus on ancestors, spirits...or perhaps something like community and lifestyle instead.

Are you named after anyone? unfortunately, st. brigid of ireland, but also apparently it's a name thats been in my dad's side of the family too? either way my parents knew of the name due to irish catholic reasons. yipee! though im cool with it bc st. brigid used to be the goddess brigid from irish myth, and also both of them were badasses <3

When was the last time you cried? .....genuinely i think the last time i cried was in like. early march when i watched the holdovers? i think? taking a break from college has greatly decreased the frequency at which i cry lmao

The deities I’m currently working with/worshiping are Bastet, Aphrodite, and Brigid.

The reason why I don’t share their alters online is because that’s their sacred space. It doesn’t wholly belong to me. But I will say that they’re very small alters because it’s easier to keep up a consistent practice that way (at least for me).

My Bastet alter is my favourite. For those of you who don’t know she is the goddess of cats, protection, bringer of good health, and perfume. She’s also largely associated with women’s secrets, fertility and childbirth. I love worshiping her because it makes me feel closer to my own cat and reminds me how lucky I am to have been born a “woman” even if I don’t always identify as a woman. Like, women have this ability to create spaces in the world and I think it’s beautiful. My favourite example of this is actually the nail salon scene in legally blonde.

Bastet is the protector of these spaces and has been for centuries.

But the main reason I started working with her is because of my own cat Pepper. Bastet is the goddess of cats and it felt right to have an alter for her. Honestly the most important relationship in my life is with my cat. Some people don’t understand that, but she is my everything. She has kept me alive just as much as I keep her alive. She has saved me in ways nobody will understand, and I thank Bastet every day for trusting me with her care.

My Aphrodite alter is quite simple because I only work with her on occasion. I struggle a lot with self care and self love, and it was getting. Pretty bad. I’ve noticed ever since I started giving her flower offerings when I’m having a spiral I almost feel like “hey. Chin up princess.” energy around me, which I’m very grateful for. I want to be working with her more often, but I’ve gotta do some soul searching first.

My third and most simple alter is my Brigid alter. It’s on my desk where I do the majority of my writing. This is because Brigid is the goddess of creativity (among MANY other things). I am prone to creative slumps, and I find working with her very helpful for consistent creative flow. I’ve been working with Brigid the longest and i know our relationship will continue to grow and way I won’t expect.

Anyways this got super long, but I feel like this is such a big part of my life and I never really share it with anyone. While sometimes I’m glad to have that space for myself, I thrive on talking to people about my interests. So I’m glad I’m sharing.

A comprehensive list of Curt's favorite things about Ken, in no order of importance:

His curls. they get a little reddish when he's been outside a lot, bleached by the sun until the brown takes on a coppery hue.

His smile, broad and teeth a little crooked. One of his front teeth is twisted sorta sideways and ken hates it but Curt loves the human imperfection of it

His fingers. They're long and delicate and knobby at the knuckles, always scratched up or bruised from the work he does, nails short and meticulously kept clean.

he loves his moles, loves tracing them with his finger.

His stomach. ken is active and in shape but he always just has a slight curve to his stomach, just enough flesh for Curt to sink his teeth into and he loves that

His wrists and ankles, they're bony and a little coltish and kens always gnawing on the curve of his wrists. it drives Curt nuts.

Ken's favorite things, also in no order of importance

Curt's eyes. They're intense and dark, clever and always look at you like he's sizing you up for a fight. There's so much warmth to them too, when he's not about to land a punch.

His body. Curt is compact and fit, not much of his body is wasted when it comes to muscle and Ken loves it not just for horny reasons but also because of how dedicated and capable it shows Curt is.

He loves when Curt is soft spoken, that new york drawl dropping the t's left and right. Important to Impor'an, Curtiain to Cur'in. Soft in ken's ear as they cuddle.

His hands. Boxer's hands, all square and strong. Hands that get things done.

His laugh. he has such a big loud laugh, the kind everyone in the room knows he's there in a second.

His necklaces. Curt (in my head) wears a st. brigids cross and he's always playing with it either with his lips or his fingers. It's a source of endless visual entertainment for Ken (horny)

Curts really good with kids. Ken has feelings about it

“Where are we going?” Brigiding had already asked a variation of the question several times, regardless of how much it seemed to annoy Minty. They had been walking through town for nearly twenty minutes and he was growing tired and frustrated, thus whining and questioning ensued. 

Minty let out an exasperated sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose. “Please, just follow me,” he insisted, adding “and maybe shut up,” under his breath. 

Admittedly, he was amused by the other’s frustration, as goading each other had become part of their relationship. The usual cycle consisted of teasing, fighting, and makeup sex. It didn’t make sense to the people around them, especially their friends that knew their history, so it was only logical that they never put a label on things and continued to see other people as well. 

“Sit,” Minty instructed, sitting down on the grass and motioning for him to join. It was quiet, calm. It was a spot he often came to when he needed to unwind, though this was possibly the most nervous he’d ever been. “What we have… it’s been working for us, I know that. But it’s not enough.”

“You mean you want us to stop being dicks to each other?” Brigiding asked. “That seems like a tall order on your part.”

“No. I mean, yes, but not like that,” his brows furrowed as he tried to find the right words before settling on simple honesty. “I want you all to myself.”

Brigiding, for the first time in the entirety of their relationship, was speechless. “You do?” she finally asked, blinking rapidly. 

“I have for a while, but I kept sucking it up and ignoring it because I knew how easy it would be to fuck things up. But we’re too old for this shit, I want you and I know you feel the same. So what’s the point of these stupid games?”

Another quiet beat built up tension until Brigiding broke it by kissing him. “You’re right,” he breathed out, “and you have me.”
