Oh the urge to overhaul dnds entire language system for my hypothetical campaign
#like common should just be the trade language that’s a mishmash of other languages and dialects. lots of loan words#and everyone’s main language would be their country of origin. which idk whether to make their own seperate entities or like different#dialects of dwarvish elvish etc etc based on who established the founding of the countries#and most people have country affiliations over racial ones. it’s very mixed in who lives where#also I’m thinking abt workshopping elves and stuff so that they don’t age as weird and just live more than humans rather than wayyy more#than humans bc they’ve been severed from their magical ties in Smoa thana#hey. do you see I like lore and worldbuilding#ramblings
