Hello, if you are still doing matchups would it be alright if I request one for the Humans are Cute AU? It's quite an adorable AU.

I'm 21 in college for digital media, 5'1 or 5ft exactly, I have wavy strawberry blonde hair with pink streaks. I'm often told I act mature, I'm very patient, and I'm a good listener. But sometimes I notice I'm very bold when approaching situations some people don't want to get into or would otherwise avoid, I don't know if that's a bad or good thing though (I rarely get into any trouble, but I've gotten myself into scary situations before because of this habit). I prefer long conversations over quick ones and I often get socially tired after being around groups of people and I absolutely can not stand loud noises.

Aside from that I do enjoy dancing every now and then, I'm an ex ballerina working on getting fit now like TFP Optimus(odd motivation for getting fit I know-) and I've been getting into traditional art recently. Aside from those activities I started meditating as well to help with my anxiety or pent up stress.

If you do matchups don't worry at all about the timing of the post, only write if you feel like writing. ♥️

Ratchet is your Owner!

At first, Ratchet was against Bumblebee and others getting him a pet. He had his hands full anyway with annoying patients and youngsters, and he didn't want another responsibility, he had those enough as it was.

But you're different. You're young, but mature for your painfully young age. You're at that age where humans are chaotic, but you are calm and patient and Ratchet likes it. He may try to return you, but all sales are final so he decides to keep you.

Despite your size, you're headstrong and yet you still don't get in trouble even when dealing with other pets or owners. Some say it's your natural ability to avoid trouble even when staring at it right in the eye.

It takes a moment, but each time Ratchet returns to his habsuite, you're there welcoming him and asking him if he wants to rant or just destress.

You're such a pretty little thing, Ratchet enjoys combing your beautiful hair and petting you as if you really were a cat or dog when he is feeling tired and overwhelmed. You know it's very therapeutic for him and you allow it. That's what you were sold as, as a warm, loyal, and supporting human.

Not that you would live up to those words, but you could tell Ratchet was just... Tired. So you accepted him as your owner, for he deserved someone to be there for him.

Ratchet likes you also because he can talk with you without worry, though mostly he nags and complains, but you are there for him and when you give him your opinion on things, they aren't actually shit. No, you're really smart for a human.

Ratchet takes notice that you don't like to interact with other pets or owners too much and he makes sure to give you privacy when you get tired of the company of others. He is the same way so he understands how you feel.

The medic also makes sure not to shout around you so much because you don't like loud noises. He gives you your own silent space where you can meditate in peace and when he returns, you're well-rested and welcome him back, which makes the old mech smile.

"Kid... Thanks, for being here."

Oh man suddenly sucked RIGHT back into changeling kids and

It's been something I've thought about before, but the bots take a Long Time to realize that the kids could potentially eat them if they tried.

Ratchet is the first to realize. He notices the first time that he sees Raf stuffing shavings and idle screws into his bag. "Oh. They consume metal." It's worrying but he thinks it's fine, he doesn't need to worry. After all no earth metals come close to Cybertronian- there's no way they can eat that. Theeeeen there's an accident and Ratchet can't fix them because they refuse to tell him what their weird biology is like and it's a long argument later that he gets some baseline rules and explanations set up and he realizes-

Oh. Yeah. No. Raf has more difficulty than he ever has before with metal, but even Cybertronian armor can't outright beat troll teeth.

Ratchet drinks a lot of high-grade and then asks the kids specifically what their diets are. There's a lot of shuffling and pouting and winces but they tell him eventually. Ratchet makes sure they have everything they need, even if he has to go take them on trips to the junkyard.

The kids are super grateful because Ratchet also doesn't want the other bots to have that realization because it's scary enough watching the kids scale an entire Decepticon and stab them with a knife it's more terrifying knowing that the kids could basically eat them alive like a scraplet. Ratchet helps hide/doesn't mention the metal eating part from the rest of the bots and in return the kids do what they can to avoid annoying him. It's a comfortable arrangement.

Of course that plan goes out the window when Raf and Bee are playing and Raf accidentally leaves a massive bite dented deep into his arm, but hey. Ratchet tried.

What about the rest of Team Prime? How would they react if the human children had died?? and after they come to terms with their deaths would it still be hard to mention them in a conversations with others?

Bro, what's with the angst? XD but you know what, I enjoy angst!

I was gonna add all the team members, but this got too long and I don't want this text to go excessively long, so if you want another team member you want me to write about their reactions, give me their name and let me know through the ask box! Here's round two!

Ratchet

Ratchet, my dear grumpy Ratchet has lost many things. As a medic, he's seen death, whether on a battle field or on a medical table. It was just part of being a medic and a veteran of war, but it didn't mean it didn't hurt any less when it came to his own failures at trying to save a life.

Eons of war had made it impossible for him to quench the guilt that still lives in inside him. Losing lives and finding some that were destroyed by the hands of the Decepticons, mentally or physically. It makes him sick. He has thought that he's seen it all. Blood, the horror, the crumbled planet he used to call home once now dead. He's thought he had seen it all, little did he know that he has not...at least not on Earth...

When the human children dies under unfortunate circumstances, he's firstly in shock. The children seemed... Impenetrable. They've been through slag that not often humans experience and with such short lifespans, as well as fragile bodies, it impresses Ratchet immensely. They were steadfast, strong and determined. Something that he begrudgingly finds to be fond of with the human children.

The shock eventually fades into denial. "Its a joke, right? Milo survived running head first into a robot battle and she lived!"

When non of the team members of Prime answers, he was just bombarded with unwanted thoughts of deaths he has failed come strike his spark. For some reason, the children's death becomes intangible pain coursing through his wires. Its slow, his vents are slow and heavy and he finally realizes...they were really gone.

He secludes himself (which Optimus envied at the time) he broods about what way they could have done to avoid their deaths, wonders if they were slowly dying a painful death or a peaceful one.

The silence in the base is unbearable. Practically throbbing his old audio receptors. At this point, he begs to any higher being to just listen to Miko's hardcore metal shriek music. He sorely misses the clacking sounds of Raf's computer. He misses the silent and kind atmosphere Jack held whenever Ratchet was in his presence. The questions the children asked, whether it was too illogical or obnoxious, he would answer anyways.

I kind of want to think that Ratchet and Optimus are both similar in coping with grieving, however, he expresses it more often. He's more impatient and grumpy. He gives short-clipped answers when asked a question and genuinely sleep deprives himself as he works on new projects to keep him occupied.

I also think he would break. Its the middle of the night, team Prime is off doing their own grieving and Ratchet is alone at the base just working on stuff when the slightest of familiar voices echoes in his mind. He whips his helm around, searching frantically for those voices. He's exhausted and Sleep deprivation has caused him to hallucinate and it takes him a few moments to realize that.

He slowly turns around to face the project he's been working on and without word just smashes the device to tiny pieces, taking out all the anger and all the grief he's held in. He yells and eventually finds himself sitting down with his helm held in his servos, and optic fluid running silently down his face as it falls to the cement floor.

Optimus finds him and instantly knows he had his breaking point and merely guides his oldest friend to the medic's berthroom and enforces him to rest for a few days.

Ratchet never gets over their deaths. But he never gets over talking about him. He talks about Raf's incredible intelligence, Jack's leadership and Miko's intense braveness. All the stories that Ratchet tells about the children are cradled closely to his spark. It's the least he could do to remember them by as the best ally the Autobots has every had.

The changelings don't know about them but if tfp Soundwave showed off his cassettes and whatnot... you can bet they'd steer very clear of the cassettes once they were told what cassettes Are. Attacking or hurting another changeling's familiar is bringing all out war. And you don't fuck with that.

The Autobots would be very confused, but I feel the kids would try to Intimidate the cassettes away rather than attacking. Easy enough when you can either bend metal like paper or just straight up eat it while staring someone in the optics

Yes!!! They pretty much end up in one of the back rooms of the silo that aren't powered, Bee turns on his night vision/infrared and they goof off

As much as it is a dysphoria/self-conscious thing it's physical too. Raf's head hurts a lot in changeling form because his senses are powerful and he hasn't "toughened up" like Aaarrrgghh due to the changeling process screwing him up. He's way too sensitive to light, smells, or sounds.

So Bee could still hurt him, on accident, but it's a much more manageable kind. Bee's a Scout! He's literally made to be able to turn almost invisible. Turning off biolights, using alternate forms of vision in the dark, gears and silencers set up so he makes almost no noise when moving. The only thing he can't really control is smells and Raf finds he enjoys the smells of energon, coolants, grease, and all sorts of mechanical smells he's always exposed to around the bots.

So there's an entire section of the base designated to "Raf time" where the lights are permanently off, you're not allowed to talk above a whisper, and he gets to play and rough house with Bee without his head killing him

What happens to the tfp kids when their familiars get rescued?

Big Panic

They've been avoiding the Order for ages and manage to skip the summons to attend Gunmar's return, and they're biting their nails trying to figure out how they're going to potentially save the world from evil trolls without revealing to the bots that they're the bad guys

They have no idea what's going on in Arcadia Oaks. No idea at all. They've purposefully excluded themselves from other changelings to keep the bots hidden and that's working against them because the moment they can't turn human anymore they don't know why

And typically for changelings, that means your familiar is dead

They panic a Lot and are struggling with being unable to be human anymore. The only one even mildly pleased by it is Miko and she's still out of her mind with worry for her familiar

When Strickler reaches out to find the remaining changelings in the world he doesn't find them, because they're hidden and they're hidden good. In the end it's up to someone to go physically look in Jasper, Nevada for the changeling younglings who apparently didn't even attend Gunmar's return and so might still be alive. And there's not many changelings still alive.

Panicked shenanigans ensue, lmao

Y e a h and it's like, several months After the Eternal Night because nobody had the time to go check on other changelings. It was mostly a "Well we've got a lot of familiars with dead changelings now and if we can find SOME to take their own it'll be great" and another big chunk of "we're literally an extinct species now that there aren't going to be any more of us so we have to at least try to work together as a species"

Hilariously I keep coming back to them visiting Arcadia and the Tarrons noticing them Immediately and then going all "CYBERTRONIANS?" "AKIRIDIONS????"

Oh man.. If Team Prime visited Arcadia with the changeling!kids getting their familiars, Toby would be so starstruck by the bots.. Steve and Eli too probably 🥰✨ And meanwhile Miko is like "Look, Jackson and Raf. These are how normal kids react to alien robot creatures, I'd tell you to take notes if it mattered anymore" "OK MIKO WE GET IT JEEZ" 😂

HSHDHFGDJFHFH I'M DYING YEAH MIKO WOULD SO DEFINITELY DO THAT PBFBFBFT. She's so salty the boys suck at acting.

The thing is the bots didn't even INTEND to be revealed. Bulkhead went through with the kids so they could have a ride around town (investigating to see if the news about Arcadia was Real) when these two teens just ran up yelling "CYBERTRONIAN!!!! We did not know there were any on Earth!!!!" And then suddenly turning from 'human' into an alien (it was Aja)

And suddenly Bulkhead was yelling too and then everyone was yelling and things got too excited

I have been THINKING ON the changeling TFP kids AU and it took me FOREVER to settle on their designs.

Jack inparticular gave me so much trouble and yet now I love the design I settled on

Raf actually pretty much never uses his troll form, his human form is tiny and he likes it that way. Jack could handle being human more often if it weren't for the fact that flying is the best thing ever and he likes having a club at the end of his tail.

Miko would give up her human form in a HEARTBEAT

Changelings were made for war and subterfuge against an enemy that had no idea they existed. The process to make them was painful, torturous, and some changelings remained stuck; helpless and twisted in the Darklands for centuries before being taken and swapped into a human's place. 

There was a key part to the changeling creation process that many didn't know. Only changelings and the trolls responsible for their creation truly knew. 

Every changeling, upon being matched with a human, was sliced open. They were given no pain relief. They were held down and had their chest ripped open until their heart beat against frigid air. It was agonizing and everyone screamed, everyone struggled. 

Then hearts were exchanged. A human familiar with a stone heart that sat heavy in their chests and weighed them down. A troll changeling with a flesh heart that twisted its tendrils through them. 

A changeling did not permit their familiar harmed. And so every changeling created, every tortured troll twisted into monsters, bit their tongues and kept their fury down as the being that held their heart was taken from them. 

Changelings did not see their familiars after leaving the Darklands. Not outside of their magic; their inborn abilities linking them to their precious life partner. 

Changelings did not have a choice. Because to fight was to die. To fight was to have one's familiar slaughtered. 

Some changelings excelled in their roles as infiltrators and spies. Some did not. 

Failures were not permitted to survive by their Gumm-Gumm overlords. 

Changelings were watched over carefully by senior agents when they were first introduced to the human world. To make sure they stayed hidden, to teach them human ways, to keep them from betraying the fragile balance of existence changelings existed in. 

Many changelings were put in places that wouldn't notice their oddities, in busy or neglectful families who wouldn't pay their 'child' much attention. They were either already in or transplanted to small towns that nobody knew about to give them perfectly bland, out of mind backstories once their human forms were grown. 

Jasper, Nevada was one such family. A town that by all rights barely existed. A place that would never ordinarily take international students but did through creative manipulation on the Janus Order's part. A place to relocate families of new changelings or simply have the changeling settle in as an "exchange" student. 

A place that the Janus Order miscalculated.

I,,, haven’t watched TFP in forever but I am Hysterically obsessed with the idea of the Trollhunters universe existing there and in the first TF:Prime episode the kids are all perfectly normal acting like this is fine and then 

They all go home and meet up in an alleyway somewhere scream whispering “How did the Autobots manage to accidentally end up with all Three changelings within fifty miles????????!!!” 

Like they didn’t Mean to get involved with robot alien stuff but all of them agree immediately that the Janus Order can never know

Tfp changeling kids are Not sweet and harmless they are changelings they're dangerous and fighting machines

Raf doesn't like fighting, but he will. He's big. They think he's got some krubera in him, his senses are Really good and he can track anything. But all he's gotta do is change shape and he's a great meat shield and battering ram in one giant pacifist body. Miko and Jack take advantage of this and they're all about the three of them working together, so if Raf doesn't wanna fight and he'd rather do tracking and shielding and be backup, they'll let him sit out fights. He's very strong though. The one time MECH tries getting the bots Raf rips their shit apart like it's made of foil. Doesn't need weapons bcz he got these hands

Jack's got wings and otherwise he's like the kind of troll Jim turns into - Jack is speed and condensed strength and he's a damn speed junkie. Once the bots learn about them being changelings he's always in his troll form so he can fly and literally hop fly between bot shoulders like some terrifying stone bird. He loves being up high and he's good at getting a vantage point. He's a LOT stronger than he looks and he is 100% able to take a staff and whap the shit out of someone, he's good with spears and staves. Throws a javelin like a boss. He is the hit fast and hit hard type of the three

Miko is the oldest and the craftiest and the one most likely to do something like a changeling. She's deadly. Four arms for throwing four sharp items at once. Four arms for four swords. Four arms for grappling with sharp claws. She's scary. She's the eldest and has 700+ years in the Darklands to back up her viciousness. Miko as a human is fun and goofy, Miko as a Changeling is dangerous and will gut you with a grin. She's small and thin and very agile, very fast. She tries to hide this from the bots bcz she Knows they wouldn't exactly approve of someone like her who embodies changeling perfection so well

Jack and Raf let her be the leader bcz she Won the position in a fight. (Raf actually took one look at Jack and Miko raring for a fight and took a step back like "you two go at it, I don't mind". Miko won. Easy. Jack was trounced like the whelp he is next to her and Raf.) She's very specific about her leadership though - if it's a changeling thing? Her word is law, because she knows changeling stuff best. If it's a moral thing?? Group discussion.

As far as the trio cares, compare the trolls and bots and they're the Decepticons. And they don't like it. They don't LIKE the way changelings treat each other. They don't LIKE the way trolls treat changelings. They look at the Autobots and they just went "We wanna be more like that" and have been modifying their behavior accordingly, with some hiccups. Like Miko is actively trying to stop the "kill everything that could endanger me" instinct, she nearly killed Fowler like five times and the others held her back and they're literally this

Raf's already pretty chill so he's the only one of them not having a problem with the "let's all become Autobots" plan. Jack's an angry violent fucker bcz he hit changeling puberty and is filled with magical hormonal rage and furious injustice at all times. Miko and him scrap all the time just to keep their cool. Like, changelings Gotta try to murder someone at least once a day or they get Twitchy and that's dangerous for everyone involved. Even Raf joins in on the sparring every now and then

Jack wants to fly, wants to get the magical burning under his skin to stop, wants to prove himself before he comes of age and the Janus Order decides he's not useful enough to keep alive.

Raf wants to be human, wants to stop hurting and itching in his own skin, wants to just explore science and technology in peace without wondering who may kill him today.

Miko wants to never be human again, wants to tear the beating human heart out of her chest, wants to be good enough that nobody will even think about challenging her right to live.

All three kids want a lot of things and as changelings, they're used to not getting them.

But none of them were quite expecting the Autobots.
