Despite my misgivings before, I finally mustered enough strength fo finish watching TFP. I have a lot I wanna say about it, but one of the things i appreciate and like the most is TFP's portrayal of Megatron. I love myself a redeemed megatron but damn is it good to see him evil again and just be allowed to like him as an evil character. like there is an enjoyment being able to appreciate him as an evil character even if he is redeemed in most current iterations. sometimes i tend to forget he is evil and tfp is like 'nop nope he is'

aside from that. the thing i like the most is that he let. go. of his obsession toward optimus.

he wanted to rule earth and cybertron, getting back at optimus or attempting to make optimus suffer became such a small issue to him in those last few episodes. the fallacy of many megatron's is that they stop caring about the war, the movement and the people that follow them and only care about getting back at optimus (and then, becoming his ally which puts so many decepticons at odds rightfully so--especially in idw).

in tfp he didn't fall into that formula. like yes at the end of s2, it was clear he just wanted to see optimus suffer, but at the end of tfp he really wanted to conquer worlds for his own selfish reasons, but it also meant that the decepticons would win. it also meant there would be an establishing deception party and rule and he would've achieved his goal.

this is shown by him even trusting ratchet. he didn't just kidnap ratchet to get on optimus's bad side, in fact, optimus had nothing to do with it. this was all because ratchet was a major part in his plan.

he WANTED starscream to kill optimus when the base was killed. which is something he prior attempted to kill Starscream for. he didn't care who killed optimus, he just wanted it done.

when he fought optimus, there wasn't the usual banter and playfulness that he inserts to piss optimus off. he was trying to kill him brutally, with absolutely no care or light-heartedness involved. he was furious, he was angry, he didn't want optimus there.

i like this megatron bcos it's very similar to the WFC trilogy megatron (which honestly I'm still trying to figure out how he was wrong in those first few episodes because I'll never disagree with him and others revolting against SLAVERY). megatorn wanted to win, he wanted to make the decepticons greater, he wanted to be a ruler. it wasn't about optimus. not anymore. and i honestly think that's the best way megatron becomes a leader. when he lets go of his rivalry or whatever toward optimus and actually does what he's supposed to do and focuses on his cause.

Ideas where Megatron hypnotizes Starscream into being a loyal and happy SIC please! ⭐ (G1, TFA, TFP, Cyberverse, WFC Siege)

G1

after a failed mission, Soundwave suggests that they hypnotize the sic

Megatorn loves they loyal and happy sic, constantly having Starscream within an arm’s length

Thundercracker and Skywarp don’t like hypnotized Starscream, and go to the Autobots to try and rescue Starscream

Tfa

instead of killing Starscream, Megatron uses the allspark to hypnotize Starscream

unfortuantly, after the allspark breaks and a shard hits the hypnotized Starscream

the clones come from the hypnotized Starscream, leaving him an emotionless hunk of metal that mindlessly follows

the clones are not hypnotized and flee to the moon to try and work things out.

Tfp

Starscream is blindsided when Megatron returns and is reduced to arm candy

Op would find star, and feel bad for the seeker

so the autobots save the seeker

Cyberverse

Starscream is found after the death cult

out of personal safety and safety of the crew, Starscream is hypnotized

they slowly ease the seeker out of the hypnosis as they slowly trust Starscream

Starscream would get some well deserved therapy 

Siege

Honestly, as long as Starscream has a huge hero worship for Megatron I don’t think that Megaron would hypnotize Starscream

if Starscream ever gets doubts, then he’ll get hypnotized and forget why he ever questioned Megatron

Omg I love TKK design too its like one of my favorite Megatorn forms. What form do you always imagine Megatron in whenever writing your fics if you don’t mind me asking

Hi Anon! No, I don’t mind you asking, ask away. 

Ooh yes, one of the redeeming things in Bayformers are the robot designs. I love how utterly alien they are. And I love the layers of armour. Armour plates, so cool. And the new TLK verion with the horns in the helm, that was the best bit. 

As for my fics, I imagine Megatron looking like he does in the canon verse my fic takes place in. Vast majority of my fics, Uninstall included, are in the TFP verse, so he looks like that.

And in that one Armada fic I have written, yes he looks like he does in the cartoon, antlers and all.
