I just need CYLAS up and about just a little longer so I can endlessly inconvenience him and have everyone horrified by his continued existence

Silas’ (Or Cylas idk how y’all spell it) va is the same that did Mr Krabs. So there’s some cursed knowledge for y’all. Clancy Brown, look it up-
He’s also Frederic in tangled the series, and now every time I rewatch that show I can’t help but hear Silas in his voice. (Thoroughly fitting, imo).

Terrible terrible crossover idea- so in tfa starscream is voiced by SpongeBob and Bulkhead is voiced by Patrick in TFP Cylas is voiced by... Mr.Krabs so just here me out here, Cylas but he exists in TFA and has Krabs voice. We now have the horrible Bikini Bottom Detroit trio

On the topic of human characters: Know what I hate? Human villains! I don't wanna see puny humans doing evil, the Decepticons are enough of a threat! Didn't enjoy Cylas much in tfp and those few in tfa annoyed me too (especially the headmaster, bitch got an F in fucking design class)
Tumblr media
This bitch, knows EXACTLY what she's talking about and i agree wholeheartedly.

Do you have a WIP you haven't talked about because it's not fleshed well enough?
Hmm, let me look through my notes because I think I talk about most of my WIPs even when they're just bare bones I chew on
A few of the plotlines I don't think I've talked about yet but I've been internally toying with include:
The earthspark mecha reconnect with Cybertron, only to learn the war is still very much ongoing up there (Rodimus and Megaempress may or may not be two big names involved here)
Earthspark Tarn and Overlord arrive on Earth, with a mutual deal that circles around killing Megatron. However, they end up disagreeing on how exactly they're going to execute this idea, and Tarn ends up doubting his alliance with Overlord the more he spends time with the blue mech.
Earthspark Trepan somehows his way to earth, and Megatron is torn between what, exactly, he is going to do with Trepan. Sometimes in this plotline, Trepan end up striking a malicious deal with agent Kroft and GHOST, which doesn't bode well
In general I have a million ideas about Megatron's pre-war past being dug up and consequences ensue
Vaguely tfp but it's been several years since the Great Cybertronian War ended, since the transformers left to go back to Cybertron. Except, for one reason or another, necessity calls Optimus back to earth and he isn't alone (he's with Megatron. Megatron is here. And his 💖husband💖, as it's made increasingly clear that a lot has changed since the bots left)
Instead of getting strapped down to the laboratory table, CYLAS becomes a decepticon and joins their ranks. He wanted to be one so bad? He gets to realize it's not all cupcakes and rainbows as it really sets in that he's not quite human anymore and that the decepticons suck fucking ass.
We only saw a bit of the bot brawls in Earthspark, but I like to explore the idea a little further— especially with the concept of an exgladiator getting involved with them.
Quintessons invading earth, causing the autobots, decepticons, and humans alike to need to team up is a favorite concept I like to fuck with
Tfp decepticon win or seemingly decepticon win scenario where Megatron, as part of his ever enigmatic plans, starts a planned pregnancy because to him? They've won, and it's time to move on to the next phase of the plan. Sure, rebuilding while on earth was not anticipated, but it's nothing the decepticons can't puzzle out :)
This one's a little more freeform and sillygoofy but, as part of peace negotiations, Megatron wants something unexpected: a sparkling. He wants Optimus to give him a sparkling.
Tfa decepticon win scenario where a disgraced decepticon traitor teams up with the autobots to topple Megatron from his throne
An au were some especially ambitious humans find a (bayverse?) hatchling, and take it in. They're about to learn raising a sparkling is you guessed it pretty fucking hard
What were things like when earthspark Megatron freshly defected? I like to think about that
Other stuff probably

Meltdown is dramatic as hell, definitely one of my favorite technoorganic villains that were human in transformers.
Don't get me wrong, Silas/CYLAS is up there too but that's moreso because of the implications and I feel like as a character CYLAS was very underutilized for the amount of body horror and he was pretty limited because of him ultimately being in a children's show. TFP was willing to get pretty dark but it wasn't going to get that dark and it preferred to stick to robot violence. In general Silas is an interesting villain, but he's very obviously meant to play less than second fiddle to the Decepticons.
Mandroid, imo, we just haven't seen enough of for me to develop a higher ranking for him. While he shows promise, what I've currently seen of him and running on the assumptions the first half of the seaaon gave us, eh. He feels more like a result of GHOST rather than a straight out bbeg yet. I want tfe to convince me and argue more on Mandroid's case. He can be a very interesting character if they keep going and elaborate further, maybe I'm just sizing up the new kid on the block in the villain game. I feel like a good move on them is if they keep going on his Cybertronian enhancements and we get More on how he got the arachnamechs and where they came from.
Meltdown is interesting, because he's something more different than the technoorganic route the two up above took. He's acid goo. He isn't really organic, and he isn't really mechanical — he's a vaguely humanoid bunch of acid goo that maintains sapience and full control which is interesting and seems to have unlimited amounts of acid goo.

I am weirdly obsessed with the whole CYLAS situation because I wonder what could've happen if he wasn't just tossed to the side and killed off in a "tie up loose ends" episode. Don't get me wrong, Thirst was a cool episode, but it feeks like it existed purely to deal with what toys the show was done with (CYLAS, synth-en, the Insecticons, Arachnid...)
I wonder what could of happened if he stayed rogue. What if he was kept around the Decepticons for a while more? How much time was left on his little technoorganic situation anyways? Could he have possibly been redeemed? How would mecha and people regard him longer term? How would Knockout, Bumblebee, and Starscream tolerate him existing for a little longer? Would Knockout have said "fuck it, fuck you man" and tossed him on the table just like canon? Shockwave's opinion? Fuck, is there a chance he would've tried sucking up to the autobots, and how bad of a decision would that have been? hOW DID CYLAS'S SETUP WORK AND HOW WAS HE ALIVE AS LONG AS HE WAS???

All of it???? ALL OF IT? Who even made that au, and why do they want to M to suffer so much?!
So technically that's @wildlygay 's au, they're who introduced me to tobots and this au!
I cannot answer the second half of the question.

Actually now that I think of it, shattered glass earthspark and shattered glass beast wars sound super interesting both dynamic wise and design wise.
Imagine shattered glass Tyrannotron or sg Mandroid.
actually fuck it let's expand this net of ours design and dynamic wise. Imagine shattered glass CYLAS and the circumstances that would lead to that (sg MECH and the Decepticons working together?) Imagine sg cyberverse Quintessons. Imagine sg g1 stunticons. Imagine sg Armada Starscream. Imagine sg tfa Soundwave. Imagine sg tfp Predaking. Imagine the sg rid15 Pack. Imagine truces in sg.
I fucking love shattered glass okay?

By FAR I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT DR. MERIDIAN'S ACQUISITION AND/OR CREATION OF THE ARACHNAMECHS.
They have an uncanny resemblance to Quintus Prime's sigil, and no i don't think that's a coincidence. They have... something to do with the terrans, but i don't know what. It reminds me of the situation in Cyberverse with Starscream, the Allspark, and the giant scraplets far too much. Even Wheeljack couldn't seem to find their power source and there's SO FUCKING MANY OF THEM. They aren't Cybertronian in origin, but they seem at least somewhat self aware. Ik i call them ticks constantly but that's kinda what Mandroid and the arachnamechs remind me of; parasites that came from GHOST and became a big problem on their own. He had them before the battle that claimed his original arm, as he mentioned that it was the arachnamechs that dragged him to safety.
Something isn't right with that situation and part of me is just drawing conclusion after conclusion with the emberstones and what went down in cyberverse

my brain went on a tangent because i realized that Cybertronians have CNA.
do you kNOW HOW FUCKING COMPLICATED DNA IS??? ohhhh how different CNA and sentio metallico has to work, the fact that I'm betting energon is the cybertron equivalent of an amino acid soup just fuckin crystalized and directly pumped into their robo-veins and arteries after being liquefied. How do splitspark twins work, and how do they know they are twins? If they have CNA, are bots who are made in the same batch genetically related?
How in the EVERLOVING FUCK DOES SARI WORK?????? she's like a tootsie pop, except instead of a soft chocolate center with a hard candy shell she's an enigma of organic tissues and cybernetic parts. It is canon that she's a fusion between some of Megatron's machinery, Isaac's DNA, and the protoform, but we don't really get any indication of what is even going on there.
Plus, in most continuities you have bots being made in a VARIETY of different methods and? That's definitely gotta cause some integral differences of major structures. If you look at earth creatures, you generally have the same structures such as most tetrapods being different configurations of the same organs and bones. Transformers though?
You can't do that for cybertronian life.
I am going Fucking Nuts over the absolute implications of having so many methods of reproduction, and that's just canon! I'm not even factoring in fanon methods of reproduction, which complicate this already complex system far more.
