Shout out to @drcoachjen ・ If you would have told me four years ago I would be coaching pole vault...I would have laughed. Fast forward those four years, I’ve been mentored by some of the best coaches in the country @coachchaderack12, @pickerbuzz, and @alphao.n.e and have gained the confidence to marry my love of science to the sport I love! #Repost @olympian_012polevault ・・・ This morning I woke up and I still dreaming about what happened yesterday.It really took me back when I decided to walk out of a hotel at Drake Relays stadium in 2013 leaving all my family and 🇨🇺 Pole Vault team behind and knowing that I couldn’t see them again.It was a big decision in my life but like I say everything happens with a reason.However,when I got to this country I wasn’t be able to understand nothing cuz my native language is Spanish it was difficult for me.I said to myself you can do this think that you wanna be an Olympian again so as you know to become an Olympian you have to practice really hard so I said now it’s time to put that energy on the English language so you can make new friends and make your dreams come true.Like I say I still learning a lot about this new language but I am so proud of everything I have had done so far and here I am after six years of hard work I am🇺🇸 citizen.While I was trying to figure out all that of course I didn’t want to pole vault any more. I stoped jumping for five years and I decided to go back to jump last summer since I knew that it was a possibility that I could jump for another country.Now I wanna be one of the best pole vaulter of my new country🇺🇸 and show to anyone that you can do anything you want in your life.You the boss of your life. Work hard and never give up. I really feel that I was born yesterday. A lot of emotions. I still processing everything in my head 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰.
