Could you clarify the character tags for UTMV?????? I'm trying to find what the tags are but I can't find anything 😭😭😭 The only one I could find was Nim weirdly enough LOL

for clarification: individual character tags for utmv characters (like ink or error) are actually under ADDITIONAL TAGS!

i think (im not an ao3 volunteer dont take my word on this being the true reasoning) this is because characters like ink and error still classify as sanses whilst characters like nim are original characters, so they get their own individual tags underneath character tags not additional tags (which include subcategories of tags of any kind, including characters)

basically it's like this:

character > nim (because she's an original character)

character > sans > additional tag > ink!sans (because he's an au sans)

the news was for the fact that ao3 officially has tags for characters like ink and error (along with other undertale au characters) when previously we just had to write their names and then hope n pray to god that someone tagged their fic the same way we searched it

this also helps for people in excluding these tags if, let's say, they wanted classic sans fics but au characters keep showing up. they now have a tag to block instead of manually writing every possible version of "ink sans/ink!sans/Ink Sans" possible

so if you want to look for specific utmv sanses, try looking for additional tags not character tags!

i apologize if i caused any confusion, and if this explanation somehow disappoints people, but this is still revolutionary for fic writers and readers into utmv after years of our fandom being neglected in tag work over at ao3 for years

unfortunately i don't think it's been recently updated, but i do know that any new content that's been dug up has mainly been miscellaneous artwork luckily, so not groundbreaking lore.

and general disclaimers, but rahaf implied that killer has mpd, which is one, an outdated term and two, a bad stereotype to enforce and we do not use mpd specifically. if people use plurality concepts with killer that's fine! but don't use mpd and be careful when discussing it bc we don't wanna push bad stereotypes.

and a small detail i enjoy is that every ending that exists is canon, whether if he escapes with color or if he stays with nightmare, both are canon in different timelines. yippee!! write him whatever and it'll be okay. he's silly like that.

there's only been 2 concrete comics about killer's soul and his 4 stages (in the document) and i think they're very cool too *nods nods*

also one day i was really ill and downloaded every single comic piece i could find of killer and i have them all saved on my computer and tbh i should do that scrounging and saving again i miss doing that.

Headcanon no. 1: Ink's memory problems are actually due to his vials. If he were to stop taking them, he'd actually have pretty decent memory, and remembers stuff that happens when he's blank (even if he doesn't have enough emotions to care about it at the time) Headcanon no 2: Realistically, Horror being starved but also being one of the bigger Sanses out there isn't the most logical. So I've made up my own theory so I can have my cake and eat it too HEHAHA. Which is when Monsters don't get enough magic in them, (mainly via monster food mostly) their bodies compensate by creating a whole lot of physicality to hold themselves together better! Which is why I like to think the monsters in Horrortale are so much bigger than normal.

GIVING THEM MORE STABLE AND SOLID PHYSICALITY MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE ESPECIALLY IN THE SENSE THAT MONSTERS ARE JUST ALL MAGIC. IF THEY CAN'T EAT FOR THAT MAGIC, THEIR COMPOSITION IS GOING TO NEED TO RELY ON OTHER COMPONENTS, LIKE ACTUAL SOLID MATERIAL...
