Gameboys the movie was just okay but I think it achieved what it set out to do: create drama for the next season. I for one am very curious as to how they’ll get Caireel back together. And how they’ll navigate Wesley & Terrence’s (long distance) relationship — because I am all in for those two idiots.

OMG Kyle & Miggy have so much chemistry. That scene where Terrence crowds Wes against the wall…

And I’m glad they gave up on the triangle because as much as I like Achilles, he has no sparkage with Terrence. At all.

A little late today didn't plan ahead.

I have to give it to these guys!! I loved every bit of Game Boys and the movie. I don't know where to begin like I really love this cast. They do everything so well, I really see the chemistry between all of them. The boys even did a few tiktoks together. They all have great chemistry. I am not sure what to say because they just are my favorite cast. I just felt for each and every role these people played and I cannot wait for season 2!!

Gameboys Season 2 Episode 1 - Liveblog

it’s so cute!

and yes so far the majority of the episodes are also in gameboys the movie but there are plenty of new additions and some scene extensions and also most of the Gav specific things aren’t in these first two episodes

I would love to do a gbtm and gbs2 scene by scene comparison the pacing of gbs2 opening scene is faster than the movie, with less Gav/chatting but more screenlife/irl transitions

Gav trailing after Cai trying to get his attention is adorable and Cai is still in full antichrist mode

first “new” scene is after the new intro with this kitchen scene and their sexual tension 

Cai and his sex drive/expression is something I wonder if they’ll ever really dive into this season since the skinship is already really high in these first 2 eps

I wanna believe this cutting onions scene is meta commentary on how much they cry

ok, them talking about Arthur and Leila missing his snoring made me cry 13 minutes into the new season and some tears

and lmaooooo at Leila knowing Cai is spoiled and generally not helpful 

I really like the transitions in and out of screenlife 

in the season Gav mentions talking to his aunt but in the movie, we see it but Gav doesn’t say it/presumably Cai doesn’t know

“how to know when you’re ready” “how to make love?” “how to make someone feel pleasure?” Cai, if you even once in your life just told any of these questions and topics and interests to Gav, I swear the world would be a happier place

“of course, because I love you” just act like it, please, a little, just pretend or ask yourself what would Gav do and do half of that

so Terrence probably made those statuses and then started driving?

Episode 1 Final Thoughts:

even though it’s mostly scenes from the movie, I’m left completely satisfied  but I do really miss looking at this world from Gav’s POV

The introduction of Achilles would have been interesting as a potential love interest and character moment for Terrence - he would have to address his internalized homophobia/femmephobia that will drive his story arc for season 2. I mean, if he couldn’t handle being with Gav, who’s straight-passing, then there’d be problems with someone like Achilles.

they hadn’t introduced the possibility of Tesley in the finale. I understand why they introduced this new wrinkle because Caireel & Tesley are LDRs so it would be redundant for both couples to moan about the same things. I think that Tesley would have an easier time with the distance but there is something to be said about a bird in hand being worth two in the bush.

This bums me out. Because I kind of like Achilles but I already love Tesley.
