Grier: I know. This is almost too painful to watch... It must run in the family.

Nikostratus: *surprised* Surely I was not that bad!

Grier: Heavens no!

Nikostratus: Good, because-

Grier: You were much, MUCH worse.

Nikostratus: ....

"Daaaaaaad!" A blood-curdling scream echoed through the rooms, prompting the dad to drop everything and run towards his kid's room. He didn't hesitate in front of the closed door, privacy be damned, bursting in.

There was a human in his son's bedroom.

He raised his hand, prepared to strike, but Dustin ran in front of the intruder, blocking them with his tiny body.

"My fault! My fault!"

He sighed and deflated with relief, his powers retracing back into his body. Of course, it was his son's doing. He looked at the floor and the unfamiliar sigils painted on it, in a spot usually covered by the now rolled-up carpet.

"Did you summon a fucking human intentionally?"

"Yep!" Dustin pushed his chest out like it was something to be proud of. 

Well, a successful summoning from a different plane, at his age… 

"The fuck would you do that for?!"

"For you!" he yelled back, seemingly frustrated. "You've been mopey since Robin moved out!" he huffed. 

"I'm not mopey!" his dad bristled. "Besides, this is not a pet, we can't just keep it!"

"But he could stay for dinner," the boy countered, always ready to bargain.

"I'm sending him back."

"But dad-!"

"And you're grounded."

"Dad!"

His father ignored him, motioning the human to follow, which he did without hesitance but with nervous movements. When the doors closed, he immediately turned towards him, almost causing the poor human to faint. Good.

"What were your intentions with my son?"

The pale face in front of him blanched further.

"I don't-! I never-!"

"The summoning goes both ways. You must have wanted something for this to work."

"Uh, I was missing a player for DnD?" he offers, flailing a bit.

"He wanted to bang a demon!" comes a yell from the other side of the door.

"No radio for a week!" he yelled in that direction, pulling the human away.

When they are out of earshot, he slows down and eyes him over appraisingly.

"Is that still on the table?"

"What?"

"The banging."

The human goes red but gives the demon in front of him a once-over nevertheless.

"Yeah,” he nods, swallowing against the dryness in his mouth. “Totally.”
