guys i know the conversation surrounding the vackers’ accents has been beaten to death but. for people who didn’t notice (like myself). i’m rereading book one and on page 64 (paperback) it says,

“…You’re even a natural at our language. Your accent is perfect. Almost as perfect as these guys’.” He [Kenric] pointed to Alden and Fitz.

having alden and fitz, who are known for having crisper pronunciation of words, and sophie, someone that grew up in america where words are known to be pronounced harshly/bluntly, be examples of perfect or near-perfect enlightened/elvin implies that elves are supposed to sound not just like babies, but ideally sophisticated babies? or perhaps brutish babies. idk food for thought
