Ultimately the resolution of Jason and Cass fights comes down to the fact that while he has his own ideals that don't mesh with the bats, Jason can be flexible. DC skipped the whole reconciliation with the family but while he's willing to kill it's generally a means to an end to him, not the whole entire point unless you're talking about Joker. Meanwhile for Cass the question of killing vs not killing is dead serious to her which means any time they're working together and things start going off track it's like:

Jason: Look if we kill this guy we send a message to his boss which makes it easier for us to negotiate with him from a position of power and I just think that-

Cass, snatching one of his guns and pointing it at her own head: Go on, pull the trigger. Kill him. Kill me. Go tell Batman that you let his daughter die to make a negotiation easier. He already let you die so no problem right? You think we should die? You think our life only worthwhile as part of a plan, just because we're killers? Are we doomed? Are we rotten to the core with no hope of redemption? Go on then, kill us and kill part of your soul alongside it. You clearly don't care for it so why are you even trying? mitchell's trigger for snapping and going hogwild is learning that lucy betrayed him, he thinks "why bother with humanity if it's always against us? let's strike back." hal's trigger is tom and alex losing faith in him and believing the worst despite contrary evidence, he thinks "what's the point? no one thinks I can be better, why delay the inevitable?" it's all about power and violence when mitchell drinks blood, he does it when he's angry to lash out and reassert control by treating someone as lesser; the world hurts him and he hurts it back. it eventually gets to be about power for hal once he's on enough of a roll, but in both seasons four and five we see him relapse on bottled blood, no power assertion involved, he simply finds existing as a person deeply challenging and then with blood suddenly he can make a move on alex the way she's wanted for months.

I’m having NO coherent thoughts tonight but just thinking about how important the respectful treatment of their dead is to the Dudedain and how important it is to make sure their kin have good resting places and still just thinking about Rammas Deluon (shocking no one) and how uniquely awful it must have been for Corunir to see the bodies of his friends decaying there with nothing he could do about it. interesting but i do agree with the other reblog, in my opinion it’s more likely hoyo would make childe fight us based on tsaritsa’s orders than us turning on him ourselves. for me, I don’t see it as romantic(?) well we’ve seen how we’re probably the only ones childe trusts outside of his family (telling us about his abyss story since it was also mentioned he would never tell this to just anyone) but we know how extremely loyal and devoted he is to the tsaritsa(with how he carried out the whole releasing a monster to liyue thing even tho he himself said he was reluctant and didn’t like involving the weak/helpless). he’d probably be like “dont take it personal comrade, think of it as a rematch.” also maybe in natlan we will find out more about the tsaritsa’s goal and maybe it’s something the traveler cant agree on. but i dont know, that’s just what I think🥲

The problem is... It's the most obvious thing to do and so far Hoyo have avoided obvious things.

Would be a nice subversion of expectations if they end up doing the obvious thing exactly once, of course.

In other words, he's a bit too pathetic to be tragic in this way.

And also there's Skirk's prophecy about overturning the world, so he can't die before that is addressed.
