Installation and Setup Guide for Split-type Air Conditioners
Tumblr media
When the sweltering heat of summer hits London, having a reliable air conditioning system becomes not just a luxury, but a necessity. Among the various cooling solutions available, split-type air conditioners emerge as a popular choice for both residential and commercial spaces. This article provides a detailed installation and setup guide for split-type air conditioners, ensuring that you can enjoy the benefits of air con rentals in London without hassle.
Understanding Split-Type Air Conditioners
Split-type air conditioners consist of two main components: an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. The indoor unit is responsible for cooling the air within a space, while the outdoor unit expels the heat outside. This separation allows for a quieter operation indoors and offers flexibility in installation. These units come in various capacities, typically ranging from 4kW to 17kW, making them suitable for diverse environments such as offices, server rooms, and homes.
In London, where the climate can be unpredictable, having the right air conditioning solution is crucial. Split-type air conditioners are particularly advantageous as they provide efficient cooling while being energy-efficient, which is a significant consideration for both the environment and the wallet.
Preparation for Installation
Before embarking on the installation of a split-type air conditioner, there are several key factors to consider. First, it is essential to assess the space where the indoor unit will be installed. An ideal location is typically on an interior wall, away from direct sunlight and obstructions that could hinder airflow.
Next, ensure that the chosen location for the outdoor unit has adequate space for ventilation and maintenance access. It's advisable to keep the outdoor unit elevated from the ground to prevent water accumulation and potential damage.
Another important consideration is the electrical supply. Split-type air conditioners require a dedicated power source, so it may be necessary to consult with a qualified electrician to ensure that the electrical setup complies with local regulations and standards.
Steps for Installation
1. Mounting the Indoor Unit
The first step in installing a split-type air conditioner is to mount the indoor unit. Here’s how:
1. Find the Right Height: The indoor unit should be mounted at least 7 feet above the floor for optimal airflow. It should also be positioned towards the centre of the room for even distribution of cool air.
2. Mark the Wall: Use a level to draw a horizontal line on the wall where the unit will be installed. Then, mark the positions for the mounting brackets.
3. Drill Holes: Using a drill, create holes in the wall for the mounting brackets. Ensure that the holes are deep enough to accommodate the plugs that will hold the brackets securely.
4. Install the Brackets: Screw the mounting brackets into the wall, ensuring they are level and securely fastened.
2. Drilling the Hole for Piping
Once the indoor unit is securely mounted, the next step is to create a hole for the refrigerant lines and drainage pipe. This step is crucial in ensuring that the indoor and outdoor units are connected properly.
1. Select the Location: Identify the best spot on the wall to drill the hole, which should align with the mounting brackets.
2. Drill at an Angle: Use a core drill to make a hole that is approximately 70mm in diameter. It is essential to angle the hole slightly downward towards the outside to facilitate drainage.
3. Protect the Edges: Use a protective sleeve to prevent the edges of the hole from damaging the pipes.
3. Connecting the Indoor and Outdoor Units
Now that the indoor unit is installed and the hole is drilled, it’s time to connect the two units.
1. Run the Refrigerant Lines: Carefully feed the refrigerant lines, along with the electrical wiring and drainage hose, through the hole.
2. Secure the Connections: Connect the refrigerant lines to the indoor unit, ensuring that the connections are tight and leak-proof. This may require a spanner or wrench.
3. Connect the Drainage Pipe: Attach the drainage pipe to the indoor unit, ensuring it leads towards the exterior for proper condensation disposal.
4. Installing the Outdoor Unit
The final step in the installation process is to set up the outdoor unit.
1. Choose a Level Surface: Place the outdoor unit on a flat, stable surface, ensuring it is adequately elevated to prevent water accumulation.
2. Secure the Unit: Use bolts to secure the outdoor unit to the ground or a mounting bracket to prevent movement during high winds.
3. Connect the Refrigerant Lines: Similar to the indoor unit, connect the refrigerant lines to the outdoor unit, ensuring all connections are secure.
4. Power Supply: Finally, connect the outdoor unit to the electrical supply, following the manufacturer's guidelines.
Post-Installation Considerations
After installation, it is vital to conduct a thorough check to ensure everything is functioning correctly. Turn on the system and observe whether the indoor unit is cooling efficiently. Check for any refrigerant leaks and ensure that the drainage is functioning properly.
Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance. It is advisable to schedule periodic checks and clean the filters regularly to maintain air quality and improve efficiency.

On Friday morning, when Bradley got to work, he walked right over to Nat where she was sipping a coffee in the hangar. Her eyes were wide, clearly anxious to hear some more details about Meredith, but Bradley just walked right into her arms and hugged her.
She kissed his cheek and whispered, "What happened? Aside from the glorious fact that Merebitch has to fuck off now!"
"I'm being deployed."
"No!" she gasped, hugging him tighter as she set down her coffee. "Will you need help with Noah?"
"Nope," he said with a smile as he pulled away from her a few inches. "For once, I got that part covered."
She listened as he told her all about Wednesday in the courtroom and how you agreed to stay at his house the whole time he was deployed. He was in the process of adding you as a temporary guardian for Noah. He was also going to add you to his credit cards as an authorized user, but you were definitely going to protest. If he had any way of getting your social security number, he would have already done it behind your back.
"Oh, I see," Nat replied with a smirk. "Your babysitter is going to be staying with Noah? For six weeks?"
"Girlfriend, actually," Bradley replied smoothly.
Nat looked pleased. "I still maintain that you have me to thank for that. If I hadn't downloaded that dating app on your phone, none of this would have ever happened. Now tell me I'm the best."
Bradley rolled his eyes and sighed deeply. "You're the best, Nat."
"Yes," she agreed. "And I'll help your girlfriend with Noah while you're away. Make sure you tell her to come to me if she needs anything. Anything at all."
"Thanks, Nat," he mumbled as he reached for his helmet. But Bradley knew you'd be just fine. Nat would be a safety net in case you needed something, and that helped put his mind even further at ease.
After a morning of training exercises, Bradley headed inside to eat lunch and check his text messages.
My Princess: Daddy, I'll be on campus until at least 6. Kind of panicking over how much work I still have to complete before graduation.
He knew this was partly his fault. He was the one who hadn't let you return to your little rental so you'd have some peace and quiet away from him and Noah. But you and he both seemed incapable of being apart now. The way he knew how your body felt tucked against his chest in the middle of the night had him desperate to keep you in his bed. And the way Noah was so attached to you, Bradley was convinced he'd start calling you mommy soon.
As he carried his lunch to one of the cafeteria tables, he texted you back to remind you that he'd help you finish up with your school work this weekend. But he also knew you needed to take a break tonight, so he texted someone else as well.
------------------------------
You were exhausted by the time you got back to Bradley's house on Friday evening. The Bronco was already parked in the driveway, and you noticed that the boys must have played with some sidewalk chalk. As you made your way up to the door, there were pictures of dinosaurs, and Bradley had written We love Princess next to the front porch.
Quickly, you unlocked the front door and called out, "It's me!" Noah came running toward you from the kitchen, and you caught him in your arms.
"Daddy's making dinner," he informed you, and you rushed for the kitchen to investigate.
"Hey, Baby," Bradley said, smiling at you over his shoulder.
You set Noah down on one of the chairs where the table was covered with his coloring books. "You're cooking," you said in shock. "Do you want me to take over?"
"No, I got it," he replied, and you peeked in the pan to see he was making chicken stir fry. "The sexiest woman I ever met taught me how to cook this."
"Oh really? Where is she? I'd love to meet her," you said sarcastically. You were rewarded with Bradley's big hand smacking your rear end before he pulled you closer to him.
He kissed you while the food sizzled on the stovetop, and he murmured, "You had a long day. Let's go out after we eat."
You let his lips linger on yours, enjoying the rough feel of his mustache before he pulled away to focus on what he was cooking. "You want to take Noah out to see a movie or something?" you asked, reaching to pull out some plates. A movie would be really fun, but you also hated the idea of Bradley paying for your ticket along with everything else. He was no longer paying you to babysit Noah. And now that school was ending and you weren't being paid by the college for your work study, you had no income. "Or we could just do something fun here instead?"
"We're going out to the bar," he informed you easily as he turned the stove burner off.
You laughed and put your hands on your hips. "And what about Noah?"
"Got it covered, Princess."
"We actually do need to find him a new babysitter," you reminded Bradley as you glanced at where Noah was quietly folding up construction paper.
"I already did," Bradley promised, kissing your cheek and carrying plates of food to the table. "Amelia Benjamin will be here in about thirty minutes. I wouldn't trust her with Noah for six weeks or anything like that, but I'm sure we can get away for a few hours. Just you and I." He was looking at you intently, waiting for a response. You were honestly surprised he'd managed to set this all up today. "Baby, you need a little break, and Amelia is out of school for the summer," he added softly before he started to blow on Noah's dinner to cool it down.
"I really need to finish my school work," you reminded him as you sat down and tasted his chicken stir fry. It was pretty good, and he smiled as you took another big forkful.
"We have tomorrow and Sunday to work on that. I'll help you."
You were quiet for a moment as you ate. And then all you said in response was, "This is delicious. I can hardly believe you made it."
Bradley set his fork down and took your hand in his. "Come to the bar tonight. Now that I took you out to lunch yesterday, all I can think about is showing you off all the time, okay? Nat will be there, and I kind of already told her we'd be there, too."
"Fine," you said, agreeing with his plans. "But the rest of the weekend, I'll be working."
Bradley's smile held steady through dinner, and when Amelia arrived to watch Noah, he was still excited to be taking you out. You were promised that the evening was casual, so you changed into some jeans that were a little baggy on you and a button down shirt that you tied in the front so it was cropped a little bit. Bradley was in jeans and a colorful floral print shirt, and when he led you out to the Bronco, you offered to drive your car to the bar instead.
He opened the passenger side door of the Bronco and kissed you. "Don't want you wasting your money or gas or anything on me, Princess." And you climbed inside with the realization that you were in a very adult relationship here, and maybe you were in over your head.
--------------------------
Bradley tried to brace himself ahead of time. You were a headturner. Fucking stunning, even in your jeans and beat up Sperrys. But even though you had your fingers laced through his as he led you inside the Hard Deck, you drew the attention of at least half the guys in the place. So he withdrew his hand from yours and slipped his arm around our waist which did essentially nothing to stop the looks he was getting.
"What do you want to drink?" he asked, and you looked up at him with such innocent eyes. He pulled you snug against him, and your hand came to rest just above the waistband of his jeans. His cock throbbed for you and that trusting look on your face. You just knew he was going to take care of whatever you needed, and it was going to make him hard if he didn't get control of himself now.
"A beer," you told him, and he leaned down to kiss your cheek next to your ear.
"I see Nat over by the pool table. Why don't you go wait for me over there while I get us some drinks." He squeezed your ass as you turned to walk away from him, earning him a heated gaze over your shoulder. And then he noticed that your eyes caught on something by the bar before you turned back to look at him briefly before you walked to the pool table.
When Bradley turned toward the bar, Helen was there, watching you walk across the crowded room with a scowl before she said, "Rooster," in a bland voice.
He had somehow managed to forget that Helen would be here tonight. Great. "Hey," he said awkwardly before he ordered two beers and watched her expertly pull two pints and slide them across the bar.
"I'll start a tab for you," she said, barely meeting his eyes. "You know, I'm surprised you brought her here. She looks like she's barely legal. And I don't mean that in a nice way. She's probably going to get into some shit." And then Helen turned to help the patron next to him as Bradley's eyes found you.
"Fuck," he grunted. You were leaning back against one of the posts as Harvard and Yale closed in on you. Yale was leaning close enough that you tried to pull away, only to end up pressed against Harvard.
"How old are you, Angel?" Yale asked as Bradley got closer.
You rolled your eyes and said, "I'm twenty four, and I'd appreciate it if you stopped touching me."
Harvard and Yale laughed at the same time, and then Harvard told you, "Maybe you don't know this yet, but girls fight over the chance to come home with us. We're roommates. And we're really good about...sharing."
When you glanced up, your expression was one of extreme annoyance before you met Bradley's eyes and smiled softly. "Then you can share each other," you said before stepping into Bradley's open arms, careful not to bump the beers.
"I see you met my girlfriend," Bradley said, his voice loud and deep as you wrapped your arms around his waist.
He kept his eyes on you while Harvard muttered an excuse and Yale repeatedly said, "Sorry, Rooster," until he was too far away to hear.
"Friends of yours?" you asked, reaching for one of the beers.
"Not really," he replied, watching you take a long sip. "I thought I told you to go wait by Nat."
You licked your glossy lips and said, "And I thought I'd never have to see that flower stealer ever again." You tipped your head toward Helen and held your chin high.
"Flower stealer?" he asked with a smirk.
"I could call her a wannabe homewrecking bitch, but we're in public," you deadpanned, and Bradley actually started laughing.
"Let's go," he said, taking you by the hand as he chuckled, leading you toward the pool table. He watched Nat light up and start asking you a million questions about Meredith and the court appearance even though he had explicitly asked her not to. And of course Jake was here, trying to discreetly check you out.
Bradley wasn't really sure why he had expected this evening to be a nice break for the two of you. He was constantly having to physically touch you in some way, otherwise you got cornered by someone. "Everyone here is so friendly," you remarked after your third beer. Bradley pressed his lips to the sheen of sweat on your pretty neck just as Omaha looked like he might be getting some ideas in his thick skull.
"Yeah," Bradley mumbled. "Or maybe you're just a smokeshow, Baby."
You giggled and asked, "Will you let me go get the next round? I kind of want to see what my buddy Helen has to say to me."
"Go right ahead. Get whatever you want, and put it on my tab."
"You want anything, Daddy?" you asked, rubbing your hand along his abs again, clearly feeling a lot looser than you were two hours ago. He thought about taking you to the bathroom and fucking you as your fingers tucked inside his white undershirt and found his bare skin.
"I want you to go get your drink and get back here quickly," he replied, his voice raspy. "That's what Daddy wants."
He watched you shuffle away after promising him you'd be right back. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Rooster. My man. Where did you pick her up from?" Omaha asked, leaning past Bradley to get a good look at where you were standing at the bar. You had no idea how appealing your ass looked in those jeans, otherwise Bradley was pretty sure you wouldn't be standing like that.
He turned back toward the other aviator and said, "I didn't pick her up from anywhere. She's my girlfriend."
Omaha had the audacity to whistle before he said, "Shit. How long you been hittin' that, old man?"
Bradley felt his hand at his side clench into a fist. He didn't mind the reminder about his age when it came from you, but when it came from someone else, he wanted to start swinging. When you called him old, it was because he couldn't figure out the settings on his phone, something you assured him you found charming. And you weren't a child. You were a capable adult, smarter than pretty much anyone else he knew. But he still just wanted to protect you, even though he knew he didn't have to. The sting of Greyson and Meredith was still too close though, and Bradley had to work at loosening his hand once again.
He was about to tell Omaha to fuck off when he saw you out of the corner of his eye. You were reaching for your drink just as Bradley saw Cyclone of all people reach his hand out to stroke one long finger across the perfect curve of your cheek. You were saying something to Cyclone, and you didn't look too happy. And now both of Bradley's fists were clenched as he watched you duck away from his commanding officer and head his way.
"Oh my goodness," you muttered, sloshing some of your beer onto your hand. But Bradley's gaze was fixed on that of Admiral Beau Simpson as the other man nodded in his direction. "That guy at the bar insisted on buying me a beer as well as a glass of the bourbon he was drinking."
That's when Bradley noticed you were holding two drinks. "Which guy?" he asked, even though he already knew. You turned to look at the bar and nodded toward Cyclone.
"The older one," you muttered before you looked up at Bradley. "He asked me if I was single and insisted on getting me the drinks." You held out the bourbon to him, and he took it.
"What did you tell him?" Bradley asked, fingers tightening around the glass as he felt the weight of your gaze and Cyclone's on him as well.
You licked your lips and said, "I told him I'm here with Bradley Bradshaw, and that he should stop pawing at me."
"Good girl, Princess," Bradley muttered, wrapping one big hand around your waist and pulling you close as he sipped the expensive bourbon courtesy of his boss's boss. Beau Simpson wanted something Bradley had, and the idea of it was enough to make him feel giddy.
"I don't really like this bar very much," you said, an edge of annoyance lacing your tone of voice as you sipped your beer. Bradley let his hand slide down lower and grip your ass, and you did nothing except snuggle in a little closer to him.
But then Bradley tipped the glass of bourbon toward Cyclone and nodded his head in thanks. When Admiral Simpson nodded before letting his gaze dip down along your body, Bradley smirked and downed the rest of the amber liquid. Then his lips were on yours, still wet from the drink. He wanted to mark you, brand you as his own. He wanted to do the filthiest things to you in front of everyone else.
You moaned against his lips, and Bradley took the beer out of your hand so you could wrap your arms around his neck. "What's that for, Daddy?" you asked when his lips found the side of your neck. "Oh, god," you whined as he sucked on you there.
Bradley knew you liked Daddys, and Simpson was older than him. Hell, half the guys at the bar who were looking at you were older than he was. Bradley wanted to make sure everyone knew who you were here with. Maybe he especially wanted to remind you.
So he let you finish the beer from Cyclone while he stood behind you, his big hand splayed across the bare skin of your belly. He kissed the side of your neck and praised you for being a good girl. And if Cyclone happened to be looking in this direction as Bradley's fingers dipped down into the front of your jeans, then so be it. Let him watch. Let everyone else watch as Bradley got his tipsy, twenty four year old girlfriend whining for his cock in the middle of the Hard Deck on a Friday night.
"Daddy," you moaned, grinding back against his erection, back arched as you set down your empty glass. "You're teasing me."
Bradley unbuttoned your jeans as he suggested, "Let's go outside?"
You smiled and bit your lip as you asked him, "Are you going to take me home?"
"Something like that," he replied, leading you toward the bar so he could close out his tab. And if that meant that both Helen and Admiral Simpson got a good look at the way you were coming apart in Bradley's arms while he signed his credit card slip, then that was just fine with him.
---------------------------
You stumbled out into the parking lot while Bradley unzipped your jeans. "Take me home?" you asked before his lips clashed against yours again. He tasted like that free bourbon, and you moaned into his mouth. You were so horny, you'd probably never make it back to Bradley's place at all.
"You want me to take you to my house, Princess? You gonna start calling that home?" he asked, scooping you up in his arms and heading for the pitch black corner of the parking lot where he'd left the Bronco.
"Daddy!" you whined, rubbing your lips all over the scars on his neck. "Take me home to your bed," you demanded, really quite tipsy. You'd never behaved like this before, ready to go in a parking lot, but apparently Bradley could read you like one of your nursing textbooks.
He deposited you next to the Bronco, your feet meeting the ground just a fraction of a second before he spun you to face the passenger side door. His hands felt rough on your body as you reached for the door, your palms braced against the window. Bradley yanked down your jeans and underwear, and you cried out as the cool, night air met your wet pussy.
"Bradley!"
"Shh," he whispered next to your ear. "You want me to fuck you right here, Princess?"
You felt almost ashamed as you gasped, "Yes," but you were so turned on for him, it didn't even matter. He bent you at the hips a little more, and then you felt Bradley thrust inside you in one quick motion. He filled you up so fast, the sensation took your breath away. He didn't give you time to get used to the stretch or to accommodate him before he was fucking you. It felt like he was teaching you a lesson as you tipped your head back and let him suck on your neck.
He nibbled on you before soothing you with his tongue, and you tried to look around, tried to make sure you were alone, but you would probably beg him to keep going even with an audience at this point. He felt that good. The cold glass against your palms was the only thing keeping your body from hitting the Bronco as he fucked you harder.
"I can't believe you're letting me do this," he rasped next to your ear. His voice combined with the sounds of his thighs slapping against yours, the sounds of filthy sex, as you started clenching around his cock.
"Daddy," you whimpered, unable to slow down your building orgasm.
"I'm your Daddy," he growled. "Just me. You're so fucking hot, you know that? Sinful looking. Can't leave you alone for a goddamn second."
"Ohhh," you keened, getting louder for him. He did nothing to stop you.
His words just made you clench harder as he said, "Every guy in that bar wishes he was me right now. Dying to be buried in this tight pussy. They all wanna look at you and touch you, but you're mine." He fucked you harder as he softly said, "You're my Princess."
"Oh!" you gasped, cumming on his cock as he continued to fuck you until you were a moaning, writhing mess. Your legs were shaking, and you felt like you had just wet yourself, but Bradley kept going. He didn't stop until he filled you up with his cum and let it drip down your legs. Then he spun you around and kissed your lips so softly as you leaned back against the door, your head swimming with satiated pleasure.
Bradley's hot cum cooled on your inner thighs, sending a chill through your body. He took his time pulling your jeans back up, and then he was helping you onto the passenger seat with the promise that he'd take care of you again when he got you home and sent Amelia away for the night. And the thing was, you'd definitely let him keep that promise.
-----------------------------
When Bradley woke up to an empty bed and a quiet house on Saturday morning, he was instantly alert. He'd slept in, and something didn't feel right. He jumped out of bed, and when he rushed to Noah's bedroom door, he found his son's room was empty.
"Noah? Princess?" he called out, continuing to the kitchen in just his underwear.
"Hi, Daddy," Noah said, looking up at him and spilling a forkful of scrambled egg onto the floor. Bradley contemplated getting a dog just to clean up the food messes Noah made, but a pet would only be something else he had to worry about when he was deployed.
"Hi, Daddy," you echoed from the seat across the table. You had your kid friendly playlist going, and you were reading from one of your textbooks, but you glanced up at him and smiled. You looked tired, and now Bradley felt bad for keeping you up half the night with his cock buried inside you. The Hard Deck had been a massive wakeup call for him. He was going to have to work hard to keep you. That much was obvious now. But you also needed the rest of the weekend to get yourself organized, and that was something he could help with.
He kissed Noah's forehead and then yours. "You want some coffee?" he asked you softly, and you nodded in response. He would take care of anything you needed, but he knew you wouldn't let him provide for you. Hell, you hadn't given him a real answer about moving in here, even though he'd asked and dropped hints. He wanted you here all the time. He couldn't stop thinking about what it might be like to get you pregnant ever since the idea was planted in his head on Wednesday.
As he worked the coffee maker to get you a vanilla latte just the way you liked it, he watched you cut some of the fruit in Noah's bowl into smaller pieces. And when Noah climbed into your lap, you didn't make a fuss that he was interrupting you.
"I'll take him out for the day, maybe do some grocery shopping while you work," he told you, his tone apologetic. "And then tonight, after bedtime, I'm all yours, Princess. We'll get everything done."
You kissed Noah's cheek and said, "I made you a grocery list. We're almost out of Skittles already. You boys can go to the store while you're out, and then I'll make dinner later."
Bradley wanted to protest, he really did, but he also wanted to eat one of your homemade dinners. So he got Noah dressed for the day and took him to the playground and then on a nature walk and then to the grocery store. He kept him out of your hair for hours and hours, and when he got home that afternoon, he carried a napping Noah into his bed.
You were sitting at the kitchen table wearing Bradley's gray sweatpants and one of his shirts, and you were typing away on his computer. He found himself entranced by your purple nail polish and calm exterior. He didn't disrupt you while he unpacked the groceries, he just set one of the many bags of Skittles he purchased on the table next to you. "Love you," he whispered, and you looked up at him with a little smirk as you opened your snack of choice. "You don't even have to share that bag with me."
"Thanks, Daddy." And that was all you said to him until you stood up and stretched a few hours later and started to make spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, because Noah started bugging about it.
"Let's give Princess a break, Bub. I'll make the ants on the logs today, and you can help me." It took Bradley just as long to cut up the carrots and spread the peanut butter as it did for you to make an actual meal, but as he watched Noah decorate them with raisins, Bradley felt a certain level of accomplishment.
He knew how to cook now, kind of. He could make healthy snacks that Noah actually liked, sort of. And most importantly, he had managed to start a relationship with a woman who not only loved him, but loved his son as well.
"Here you go," you announced, setting plates of dinner down in front of both of them.
"Yay!" Noah cheered, and Bradley had to stop him from reaching for the hot food.
"Listen," Bradley said between bites of food. "Early bedtime tonight after a nice bath. And then tomorrow night we'll have a family movie night. We can go to the theater that serves dinner at your seat so we don't have to cook anything here."
"But that place is expensive," you protested. "And I still have to finish studying for my final on Monday."
"We'll study tonight," Bradley promised. "And the fancy movie theater isn't too expensive for my family."
----------------------------
You insisted on being the one to put Noah in bed when he finished his bath. After working for twelve hours straight on school assignments, you needed a little break, and some hugs from Noah really did the trick.
Once he was tucked in, you knew you needed to study for your anatomy final, but all you wanted was a glass of wine and a hot shower with your hot boyfriend. You found him in the living room, rooting through the drawers underneath the stereo system that must have belonged to his parents.
"Oh my goodness," you teased, gasping as he looked up at you. "Are those cassette tapes? Are you sure you're only thirty six?"
He rolled his eyes and got to his feet, pulling you toward the couch. "Almost thirty seven, actually. You know, I was going to play something I thought you might like while we study, but nevermind."
"Wait, I take it back, I take it back!" you protested, wrapping your arms around his neck. "Play it for me. Please?"
"Fine," he groaned, running his hands down your sides and bending to kiss you. "But only because I'm in a good mood." Then he started to play the tape, and you noticed that he already had your textbook and a fresh bag of Skittles waiting on the couch.
"Thanks for doing this," you whispered, watching as he settled down and patted his thigh.
"Come here," he coaxed as the mellow rock music played softly, and you were surprised to find you knew the band. "I like studying with you," he said with a grin as you settled onto his lap, straddling his thighs.
As he tore open the bag of Skittles, you reminded him, "I'll be looking for a job soon. No more studying."
"Gotta make this count then," he replied, pulling a red Skittle out and feeding it to you. "Fifty percent of the Skittles are mine. You can earn your share by answering questions correctly from your study guide."
You scoffed and ran your fingers through his hair. "I should get a more generous share of the goods tonight. As a reward for all my hard work."
He grunted and rolled his eyes. "Fine. You can have sixty percent. But just for tonight. Tomorrow we go back to a fifty/fifty split."
"Deal," you whispered, kissing his lips.
And it was all so gentle, the way Bradley fed you a yellow Skittle and then a purple one as he went down the study guide, his thumb rubbing soft circles against your thigh through the gray sweatpants. Anytime you needed an extra minute to consider your answer, you pulled your fingers through his hair and down his neck as you contemplated.
"You know this one, Princess. I know you do."
Every time he encouraged you, giving your hip a little squeeze, you got the right answer. And then you got a Skittle. And then you got a kiss.
"Will you come with me to my exam on Monday morning?" you asked him softly, your head coming to rest on his shoulder once the candy was all eaten. "I don't think I can do it without you there."
He kissed your forehead and held you close. "Sure you can, Baby. You'll ace it. Besides, I have to meet with Tracy and get everything settled. You don't need me at all."
But that was a lie. You did need him. You needed him. And Noah. "I do," you whispered, your lips brushing his neck. "I need you, Bradley."
"You already have me."

Donations Requested
This is always really hard to do but I've been going through really difficult times these last few months and it would help if you could donate here
I have a temporary place to stay but I've been homeless since April 1st. Alot of places near me have rent in the $700 to $1,000+ area which is massively outside my range (the only one I've seen in my price range had no ac 😭 it's already hit 80°f this spring)
I've been working with different resources to help find housing and support (such as SNAP) but they take time. It's been so much these past three months and I'm starting to burn out.
I'll be putting donations towards costs such as: my monthly storage rental, groceries (snap pending), medicine, doctor appointments, security deposit when I find a potential apartment, and filling my car up with gas.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have a Kofi, with a backlog of art and a discord server. I've also been playing around with a new app on the iPad if anyone wants to request doodles for donations over $10 (examples above)
I appreciate any and all help <3

Tumblr media
Y/N POV…
I continued to hold onto Smoker while he rode his billower bike. Granted, this was meant for one person, and having me squish like this behind Smoker may not have been the most ideal position, but then again, I knew exactly what I was going to execute. I clicked on my transponder snail, making sure to let Sebastian know my location.
"So, Smokey! Mind telling me where we’re heading off to?" I yelled over my helmet, feeling the vibrations of the engine beneath me.
Smoker said nothing at first until he cut off the engine of his billowing bike. "We are here," he said, his tone almost too calm.
I looked around, taking in the secluded area. "Secluded away from the town, huh?" I chuckled, pulling off the helmet and handing it back to him. "If I didn’t know any better, this seems like a horror movie tactic."
Smoker didn’t respond immediately, but I could feel the weight of his gaze as I smoothed out my hair and removed the scrunchy, letting my long locks fall freely. I tucked the helmet under my arm and took in the eerie quiet of the area around us.
With a slow turn, Smoker walked up to a door I hadn’t noticed earlier, pushing it open with ease. "This your home?" I asked, a playful lilt in my voice as I followed him inside.
"Nah, just a rental for me," he replied casually as he removed his coat and tossed it over a chair near the door. "Until my men, Tashigi, and I leave for the next town."
I nodded, glancing around at the modest, yet cozy interior. There was a warm, unassuming vibe to the place, something unexpected for someone like Smoker, who was always on the move. "Seems like a nice place for some peace and quiet," I said, my eyes lingering on a few framed pictures of Smoker and his team, scattered around the room.
He didn’t say anything for a moment, turning to face me with his usual serious expression. "It's nothing fancy," he said, as if dismissing it. "Just a temporary stop."
I took a few steps closer, eyes scanning the surroundings as I crossed my arms. "Temporary, huh? You always live like this, running from place to place?" I raised an eyebrow, genuinely curious. "No roots anywhere?"
Smoker shrugged slightly, his eyes softening a fraction. "Roots aren't easy when you're on duty all the time. Besides, I have my priorities."
"Your priorities?" I smirked, crossing the space between us, getting a little too close for comfort. "And what priorities would those be, Smokey?"
He didn't answer right away, his eyes locking onto mine, as if measuring me, gauging whether or not he should answer honestly. The silence stretched for a moment before he spoke, low and almost hesitant.
"Protecting those who can't protect themselves," he finally said, his voice more subdued than I’d ever heard it.
I couldn't help but smile, a little surprised by his answer. "Huh," I muttered. "I didn’t take you for the sentimental type."
"Guess we all have our layers," he shot back with a smirk of his own. But it quickly faded as he took a step back, running a hand through his hair. "Look, I didn’t bring you here to get all deep."
"No?" I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Then what did you bring me here for, Smokey?" I couldn’t help the playful edge in my voice.
Smoker took a deep drag from his cigar, eyes narrowing as he took a step closer, his voice low and heavy with intent. "Pin you across this table, then the couch, then maybe these stairs."
I tilted my head, a smirk creeping onto my lips as I watched him move, his presence dominating the space. "You already have a whole itinerary planned, I see."
He didn’t respond immediately, instead releasing a slow stream of smoke from his mouth, the haze lingering between us. "Ever since you came into my sights… kill shot," he murmured, his voice dark and loaded with something more than just the casual flirtation I was used to.
I raised an eyebrow, eyes locking with his as the tension in the room thickened. "It's been months since our first encounter, right, White Hunter?" I smirked, a teasing tone coating my words.
And in that moment, I felt the room shift, the air crackling with the energy of that flashback.
Flashback…
I had been in the midst of a firefight, trying to get my crew out of harm’s way, when Smoker—predictable as ever—interrupted the chaos. He came charging at me with all the force of a freight train, pinning me to the ground without a second thought.
“Captain!” Sebastian’s voice rang out, but I didn’t have time to address it. I locked eyes with Smoker, his smug expression barely visible beneath the cloud of smoke that hung around him. He wasn’t going to give up that easily.
“Bash, run! Get the men to safety, I can handle Captain Smoker,” I shouted, my voice steady despite the fact that I was now face to face with one of the most formidable Marines.
Sebastian hesitated for a moment, unsure, but he knew better than to argue. “Yes, Captain!” he yelled, before quickly sprinting toward the others to get them to safety.
The moment I was alone with Smoker, I knew I had to act fast. I shifted my weight, using the momentum to throw him off balance and roll us both over. In the blink of an eye, I was straddling him, pinning him to the ground.
Smoker blinked in confusion, his usual smugness replaced by surprise. “My body’s made of smoke… how did she—” He was cut off as I tightened my grip, my knees pressing down into his chest.
I grinned down at him, feeling the rush of adrenaline. “Guess you don’t know everything, do you, Smokey?” I said with a sly smirk, my hands holding his down. “You should have figured it out by now. I’m not as easy to pin down as you think.”
He let out a low growl, smoke curling around him like a storm, but I was ready for it. I had studied his movements too well to fall for his tricks. He couldn’t escape this time.
“You’re persistent, I’ll give you that,” I said, watching as his form began to shimmer and waver, trying to shift into smoke to slip away.
But this time, I was quicker. I leaned in, locking my arms around his waist before he could completely turn into smoke. “I know how to handle you, Smoker.”
He froze for a moment, the smoke around his body swirling before dissipating into the air. A flicker of recognition passed over his face.
Flashback Ends…
"It's been months..." Smoker muttered, his voice low and gruff.
I turned to face him, a smirk tugging at the corners of my lips. "And yet your memory still replays that moment, huh, White Hunter?" My voice carried the slightest tease as I turned around and made my way up the stairs, letting my fingers trail against the railing.
Slipping my hand into the pocket of my skirt, I discreetly pulled out my transponder snail, my eyes catching the faint blinking light. Bingo. Bash was coming soon. Now, all I had to do was time this right. I slid the snail back into place, careful not to make any sudden movements.
"You coming?" I called over my shoulder from the top of the stairs, throwing a glance down at him as he stood in the dimly lit entryway.
His response was delayed, almost as if he was still lingering in the weight of our past encounter.
I pushed open the door to the room and stepped inside. The space was impressive—larger than I expected. A king-sized bed with an elaborate headboard stood at the center, draped in crisp sheets. To the right, a spacious bathroom with a jacuzzi tub gleamed under the soft glow of the lights, and beyond that, the balcony doors led to a hot tub that overlooked the darkened landscape.
"Interesting..." I thought to myself, glancing around.
I heard the sound of heavy footsteps approaching, the familiar scent of cigars growing stronger as Smoker finally followed me inside. The door clicked shut behind him.
Now, all I had to do was wait.
I rummaged through the closet, shifting through the neatly folded clothes and hangers until my fingers brushed against something soft.
"What do you think you're doing?" Smoker’s deep voice rumbled behind me, laced with suspicion.
"Looking for a bathing suit," I replied casually, glancing over my shoulder. "That hot tub looks nice."
I pulled out a black one-piece bathing suit, holding it up in front of me. The fabric was sleek, and the design was… well, more revealing than expected. A deep V-neckline plunged dangerously low, while the open-back design gave the illusion of barely-there coverage.
"And what’s this number?" I smirked, raising an eyebrow as I turned to face him, holding up the swimsuit for emphasis.
Smoker exhaled a long drag from his cigar, his eyes darkening slightly as they flickered over the piece in my hands. "Tch," he scoffed, looking away briefly before bringing the cigar back to his lips. "Didn't take you for the type to wear something like that."
I grinned. "Oh, Smokey, you’d be surprised."
I peeled off my clothing, tossing them carelessly onto the floor before slipping into the bathing suit. The fabric hugged my body perfectly, accentuating every curve in just the right way. I adjusted the straps and gave myself a once-over in the nearby mirror.
"Must admit, it fits like a glove," I mused, turning slightly to admire the way the suit molded to my figure.
Smoker, who had been casually leaning against the doorway, suddenly went rigid. His jaw slackened, his cigar nearly slipping from his lips as his eyes scanned me up and down.
I smirked. "You act like you've never seen a woman in a bathing suit before."
Smoker snapped his mouth shut, clearing his throat as he quickly turned his head to the side, exhaling a puff of smoke. "Tch, don’t flatter yourself." But the slight twitch of his fingers and the way his gaze flickered back to me said otherwise.
I chuckled, stepping closer. "Relax, White Hunter. It's just a swimsuit… unless you're imagining something else?" I teased, watching his reaction.
He grumbled something under his breath before taking a deep drag from his cigar. "You're trouble."
I winked. "And yet, here you are."
Smoker glanced down, realizing he was still gripping his Jitte tightly. His knuckles were clenched around the handle, as if he hadn’t even noticed he was holding it this whole time.
"Are you going to drop that, or are you planning to hold onto it while sitting in the hot tub?" I teased, crossing my arms as I leaned against the doorframe.
Smoker grunted, exhaling another puff of smoke before setting the weapon down with a heavy thunk against the wall. "Force of habit," he muttered, rolling his shoulders as if trying to shake off the tension.
I smirked. "Sure, sure. Just admit it—you’re nervous."
He scoffed, stepping closer, his towering frame casting a shadow over me. "You think I’m nervous?"
I shrugged, walking past him towards the balcony where the hot tub was. The night air was crisp, the steam rising invitingly from the bubbling water. "You tell me, White Hunter." I dipped my toe in, then slid into the hot tub, sighing at the warmth. "Mmm, this is nice. You coming in, or are you going to stand there acting all tough?"
Smoker watched me for a moment before exhaling deeply. "Tch. You’re impossible."
Smoker’s hand gripped my wrist as he pulled me closer, his eyes narrowing, though there was something different in his gaze—something sharp and intense, mixed with the undeniable tension between us. He leaned in slightly, water dripping from his damp hair onto my shoulder. "I could just end you right here," he muttered, his voice low and dangerous.
I tilted my head, meeting his gaze with an unwavering smirk. "And yet, what’s stopping you from doing it?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
His fingers tightened on my wrist, and his jaw clenched, but it wasn’t anger that flickered in his eyes. "Your father," he said, his voice strained.
I laughed, the sound echoing in the quiet of the night. "Yeah right, that's an excuse," I teased, shaking my head. "You’ve chased down pirates left and right, hell, even beaten them up. Those with bounties as high as mine don’t get a chance—and yet here I am." I smirked, watching him carefully.
Smoker stayed silent for a long moment, his grip loosening but his gaze never leaving mine. The water around us swirled, the air thick with unspoken words and tension. He finally released a slow breath, his voice quieter this time, almost reflective. "You’re not like the others."
Smoker's body tensed slightly when I placed my head on his neck, but he didn’t pull away. Instead, he seemed to relax into the moment, the warmth of the hot tub wrapping around us like a cocoon. I gazed around the room, the soft light reflecting off the surfaces, as I noticed the blinking on my transponder snail had finally stopped.
Bash is finally here.
I couldn’t help the sly grin that tugged at the corner of my lips as I felt the rush of anticipation building inside me. The game was about to take a new turn, and I was ready for it.
"Now for phase two," I thought, my lips curling into a sly smile. "All we need is some champagne to go with this night—then you can tell me the real reason you wanted to see me. And don't start with the whole, 'I've been thinking about you' bit."
I locked my gaze with him, the steam from the hot tub thickening around us, making the air feel even heavier. Slowly, I ran my fingers through his silver hair, slicking it back with the warm water. Smoker closed his eyes, exhaling a slow drag from his cigar, as if savoring the moment. A few specks of ash crumbled, drifting into the water, dissolving like whispers of unspoken tension between us.
Smoker let out a deep exhale, the scent of tobacco mixing with the warmth of the bubbling water. His rough exterior remained intact, but there was something unreadable in his expression—something lingering beneath the usual gruffness. I watched as the embers of his cigar burned low, casting an amber glow over his face before he flicked the remnants aside.
"You're pushy, you know that?" he muttered, his voice a low rumble as his eyes finally opened, locking onto mine.
I smirked. "And you're avoiding the question."
Smoker’s lips curled slightly, something dangerous flickering in his gaze. “I’ve been keeping a close eye on you, Kill Shot.”
"You and half the world," I shot back, leaning in just enough to make sure he felt the heat between us. "Again, unless you want to recreate some scene in your Marine head—where I'm a helpless criminal, you're cuffing me from behind, and I beg you to please let me go." I paused, watching for his reaction, my smirk widening. "And you just so happen to have ways of indulging."
Smoker’s jaw tensed. For a moment, all I could hear was the bubbling water and the faint crackle of the cigar ember floating away. His eyes darkened, heavy with something between amusement and restraint.
"You really don’t know when to quit, do you?" His voice was low, gravelly, but I didn’t miss the way his gaze flickered over me, as if weighing his options.
"Never," I murmured, trailing my fingers along the water’s surface. "But you already knew that."
"So, what’s it going to be, Captain Smoker?" I teased, raising an eyebrow. "Are we recreating a scene, or are we just here to discuss why the stars are out tonight?"
His lips parted slightly, as if he were about to say something, but I caught the briefest flicker of movement in my peripheral vision. From the shadows, a figure lurked—silent, careful, inching forward with precise intent.
Perfect.
I kept my smirk in place, masking my thoughts as my mind shifted gears. The game I was playing with Smoker was one thing, but this? This was something else entirely.
Now, the real fun was about to begin. The moment stretched between us, thick with tension and the scent of lingering cigar smoke. I held Smoker’s gaze for a beat longer before standing, water cascading off my skin as I made my way out of the hot tub. His eyes followed me, sharp and unreadable.
"Let me know when you figure that out, Captain," I said over my shoulder, grabbing a towel and running it slowly over my arms, then down my legs. The cool night air kissed my damp skin as I smirked, knowing damn well he was watching.
I barely had a second to react before a harsh force shoved me forward, sending me tumbling onto the bed.
A firm weight pressed against my back. Strong hands clamped around my wrists, pinning them against the sheets.
Smoker was on top of me.
"Think you're real clever, huh?" His voice was low, gravelly, close to my ear. His grip was firm, but there was something else in it—something restrained.
I let out a slow breath, adjusting just enough to glance behind him.
And there he was.
Bash.
He moved like a shadow, quick and precise, stepping right into position behind the unsuspecting Captain. I smirked.
"You're good, Smoker," I murmured, pressing against his hold just slightly. "But even you have a weakness."
Smoker narrowed his eyes, but before he could react, Bash struck.
A small vial, laced with sea water and a potent sedative, shattered against the base of Smoker’s neck. The moment the liquid touched his skin, I felt the shift—the sudden tremor in his body, the way his grip weakened just slightly. His breathing hitched, and I turned my head enough to see the raw surprise flicker across his face.
"You—" he started, but his voice faltered.
I used the opening to twist beneath him, flipping our positions just as Bash tossed something into my waiting hands. Cold, heavy metal met my palms.
Sea prism stone cuffs.
Smoker, dazed from the drug, tried to push himself up, but I was faster. I snapped the cuffs around his wrists in one swift movement, locking them into place.
His body tensed immediately. The effect was instant—his strength drained, his Devil Fruit powers suppressed. For the first time, Smoker looked at me with something almost like shock.
I leaned in, my lips just inches from his ear.
"Checkmate, Captain."
His breath was heavy, his jaw clenched, but he couldn't fight it. Not this time.
Bash chuckled from behind. "Took long enough."
I smirked down at Smoker, his body still limp and weak from the sedative laced with sea prism stone. He was out cold, completely at my mercy, and I could feel the power shift in the air.
"Alright, Bash," I said, my voice steady as I glanced at the clock on the wall, "we have exactly 45 minutes before the sedative wears off and he comes back online. We just need to give him another injection to flush out the sea water, but we don't want to get caught with anything, so let's move fast."
Bash gave a sharp nod, his eyes gleaming with the thrill of the moment. "Understood."
I quickly stood up, making my way to the side of the room to change. I pulled off my damp bathing suit and slipped back into my top and skirt, the fabric hugging my skin in all the right places. My heels clicked against the floor as I slipped them back on, the sound sharp and commanding.
"Let's see what we have here," I murmured, walking over to a nearby desk. I picked up a notebook lying casually on top of it, flipping it open. Each page was filled with critical information—details, names, dates, and pictures.
I raised an eyebrow, snapping pictures of the pages with my transponder snail. This was it. This was what we needed.
"Captain, take a look at this," Bash called out, his voice a little louder now. He had found something of interest in one of the pages.
I made my way over to him, leaning over his shoulder. I looked at the page he was pointing to, and my smirk deepened. There, in black and white, were pictures of none other than Ace and his crew.
"Figures," I muttered, my finger tapping the photo of Ace. "Ace would be involved in this somehow. He’s sloppy, always has been."
Bash chuckled softly, the edges of his lips curling in amusement. "Doesn’t he always leave a trail?"
I nodded, my eyes scanning the rest of the pictures and notes. Ace had a tendency to make his presence known, even when he was trying to stay under the radar. It was almost too easy to connect the dots.
"Well, this just got interesting," I said, flipping through the rest of the notebook. "Looks like we’ve got more than we bargained for, but it works out for us."
I glanced back at Smoker, who was still unconscious, my eyes narrowing as I thought about what we needed to do next.
"We’ll finish phase two and get what we need. Then we move on to phase three."
Bash raised an eyebrow, clearly curious. "And what’s phase three, exactly?"
I gave him a wicked grin. "Well, Bash, phase three is simple. We make sure Tashigi comes to check on dear old Smoker, and we make it look like he had a long night of drinking."
Bash chuckled, clearly on the same page. "Clever. He’ll never see it coming."
I picked up the vial, preparing to inject Smoker. The needle slid easily into his arm, and I administered the antidote, watching him slowly unwind. His face, once contorted with tension, softened into a peaceful expression, as if he were simply asleep.
"Alright, Bash, the keys to the cuffs."
He handed them to me, and with a swift click, I unlocked the cuffs that had restrained Smoker’s arms. He looked relaxed, blissfully unaware of what had just transpired.
"Help me move him to the bed more," I instructed, as I grabbed Smoker’s feet and gently shifted his body towards the center of the bed. We covered him with a sheet, making sure to place it just right around his waist for modesty’s sake—well, as much as we could muster.
Once Smoker was settled, I placed the bottle with gloves on the desk, along with a champagne flute. I poured a second one for good measure, setting the scene.
"Now that that’s taken care of, let me leave him a note," I said with a devilish smile.
Bash grinned back. "What should it say?"
"Oh, I have an idea," I replied, taking the pen in hand. "How about: 'Thanks for teaching me how to be a good criminal, Captain Smoker. I’ll see you around.'"
Bash let out a low whistle. "Oooo, that’s a good one."
I grinned, adding a little extra flair to the message, my handwriting smooth and purposeful as I wrote it. "Okay, how about this?" I finished up the note with a bit more detail, leaning in to add the final touch.
“Thanks for teaching me how to be a good criminal, Captain Smoker. I’ll see you around. And when you wake up, remember… we had one hell of a night.”
I smirked, satisfied with the note. "Perfect. Now, let’s get out of here before he starts waking up."
Bash nodded, looking pleased with our work. "This is going to be fun to watch."
I grabbed my transponder snail, placing it inside the pocket of my skirt. "You’re telling me."
With one last look at the scene we had set up, I turned and walked out, feeling the thrill of a job well done. Now, we just had to wait.
Third POV…
The room was eerily silent, save for the soft rustling of the sheet that covered Smoker’s torso. His mind was clouded by the effects of the sedative, but the faintest stirrings of consciousness began to pull him from his haze. He could feel the bed beneath him, the soft weight of the covers, but something was off. Something wasn’t quite right.
His eyes snapped open, and the first thing he noticed was the lipstick stain on his cheek, still fresh and vivid against his otherwise rugged skin. His brows furrowed as he looked down at his bare chest, the sheet barely covering him, and his abs on full display. His muscles tensed instinctively, confusion sweeping over him.
"What the hell...?" Smoker muttered to himself, still groggy from the effects of the sedative.
Just as he began to sit up, trying to make sense of his surroundings, the door to the room suddenly slammed open, and in burst Tashigi, her face flushed with embarrassment and a bit of panic.
"Smoker! What the hell happened?!" she exclaimed, her eyes widening at the sight of him half-dressed in the bed, clearly flustered. Her gaze immediately shot to the lipstick stain on his cheek and the faint mark on his lips, her face turning bright red as she pointed a finger at him. "You’ve got lipstick all over you! What the hell—"
Smoker let out a gruff sigh, rubbing his temple as he sat up fully, feeling the residual effects of the sedative. "Damn it, Tashigi, could you not scream like that? You’re a Marine, not a schoolgirl." He shot her a sharp look as he swung his legs over the side of the bed, trying to gather his bearings.
Tashigi was too caught up in her shock to pay attention to his tone. Her eyes were glued to the scene in front of her—Smoker’s bare chest, the lipstick stain, the strange atmosphere. It was all too much. "What the hell happened here?!"
Smoker’s eyes narrowed as he glanced down at the bed again, his gaze landing on the note lying on the pillow next to him. He grumbled under his breath, reaching over to grab the cigar resting on the nearby table, trying to steady himself as his fingers fumbled for it. His gaze drifted to the note, the elegant handwriting catching his eye.
The paper read:
“Thanks for teaching me how to be a good criminal, Captain Smoker. I’ll see you around. And when you wake up, remember… we had one hell of a night.”
Smoker muttered a curse, his fingers tightening around the cigar. "Damn that woman... Killshot, huh?" He shook his head, a mixture of frustration and begrudging admiration in his tone. The woman had managed to get under his skin again, leaving her mark—literally—and it wasn’t something he could easily ignore.
Tashigi’s voice broke through his thoughts, her voice rising in pitch. "What the hell is going on?! Who did this to you, Smoker?!"
Smoker let out a sharp exhale, finally lighting his cigar. "Don’t worry about it, Tashigi. Just… don’t touch the note." He ran a hand through his silver hair, his voice gruff and irritated. "You wouldn’t understand."
Tashigi stood frozen, her face still flushed, a mix of confusion and frustration bubbling to the surface. She was about to say something else, but Smoker’s harsh tone and the sight of him sinking back into the bed made her hesitate. She shook her head, her thoughts racing, and let out a long sigh.
"I swear, Smoker," she muttered, "you’re impossible."
Smoker took a long drag from his cigar, the smoke swirling around him as he leaned back against the pillows.
Tashigi huffed, walking out of the room, leaving Smoker alone with his thoughts, the strange feeling of the note and the mysterious criminal still lingering in his mind.
"Killshot..." he muttered again, irritation flickering in his eyes. "I’ll be seeing you again."
The tension between them wasn’t over—not by a long shot.
Y/N’s POV
The ship rocked gently as we sailed away from the island, leaving Smoker and his Marines behind. The chaos of the night still lingered in my mind, but the thrill of outwitting Smoker made it all worth it. I leaned against the railing of my room, scrolling through the pictures I had taken on my transponder snail, while Bash sorted through the items he had taken from Smoker’s rental.
The knock on the door startled me, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Come in!" I called out, glancing up.
The door creaked open, and Bash walked in, closing it behind him. "Got anything, Captain?"
I raised an eyebrow and motioned to the pile of papers and notes spread out on the table. "A lot, actually," I said, flipping through some of the pages Smoker had written on. "I’m seeing a lot of faces that the Marines are after. Both of these guys, the Spade Pirates, Ace as their captain, and the Phoenix Pirates—me as the captain." I let out a laugh. "I also noticed that Smoker's been keeping an eye on Ace for a while. Figures."
Bash smirked, clearly amused by my revelation. "You planning to see him?"
I grinned, an almost mischievous glint in my eyes. "Oh yeah, he’s going to be so in shock," I said, laughing. "It’s going to be priceless."
As I continued to examine the notes Smoker had written, I found myself distracted by his scribblings. "Check this out," I said, tapping the pages. "They’re raising my bounty to 200 million berries. Yours is going up by 50 million, which means you’re sitting at 150 million berries now. And Ace... he’ll be at 200 million as well."
Bash raised an eyebrow at me, a playful grin tugging at his lips. "Captain, you think about Ace a lot, don’t you?"
My face flushed slightly, but I quickly covered it up with a dismissive chuckle. "Don’t be crazy, Bash," I said, waving him off. "We... we just have history, is all." I paused, glancing at the notes again as if they held the answers to all the questions I was avoiding. "And he used to pick on me, tease me a lot. Hard to forget that freckled face, especially now that he’s grown so much."
Bash shrugged nonchalantly. "You know what they say, Captain. When a boy picks on you, it’s because he likes you."
I blinked at him, my blush deepening. "What? That’s ridiculous," I muttered, trying to keep my composure. But the way Bash was looking at me, I knew I wouldn’t be able to avoid this topic for long.
I quickly shifted my attention back to the papers on the table, hoping to change the subject. But deep down, I couldn’t help but think about Ace and the way things used to be between us.
We had history, yes. But maybe there was something else beneath the teasing and the games. Something that was hard to ignore, no matter how much I tried to deny it.
I sighed, pushing the thought away for now.
Ace POV..
"Alright, guys! I think we deserve a well-earned party!" I declared, grinning as my crewmates erupted into cheers.
"Looks like you're in high spirits," said Masked Deuce, his tone amused.
"Well, after that big haul we just scored, I’d say we’ve more than earned a bit of fun!" I laughed, feeling the rush of excitement still coursing through me.
Just then, the familiar sound of flapping wings caught my attention. The News Coo landed on the railing, dropping a fresh stack of newspapers before letting out an impatient squawk. I tossed a few coins into the small pouch attached to its leg before grabbing a copy.
"Tell us, Captain! Any interesting news about us?" one of my crewmates asked, sipping his drink.
A smirk tugged at my lips as I scanned the front page. "We made it on the front page!" I announced, holding up the paper as the crew roared in excitement.
"They even raised my bounty to 200 million berries," I added, unable to hide my pride. My smirk widened—things were heating up.
As I flipped the page, my eyes landed on another headline, and suddenly, my grip on the cup loosened. The drink slipped from my hand, splashing onto the deck.
"Damn, Captain, you look like you've seen a ghost—Holy smokes, who is she?!" Masked Deuce snatched the newspaper from me before I could react.
"That’s probably Ace's girl!" Skull hollered, his loud laughter making my face heat up.
"She is not my girl!" I shot back, feeling my cheeks burn even more as the crew erupted into teasing.
Masked Deuce ignored my protest, whistling as he read aloud. "Says here, Captain of the Phoenix Pirates, Y/N 'Killshot,' and her right-hand man, Sebastian, stole important documents from Captain Smoker’s home."
I clenched my jaw, staring at the page as my mind raced. Y/N, huh? It had been a while since I last heard her name, but leave it to her to pull off something this bold.
"Stealing from a Marine Captain? Now that's gutsy," one of my crewmates chuckled.
I ran a hand through my hair, shaking my head with a half-smile. "Yeah… that sounds like her."
"Damn, they even put her at the same bounty as you—200 million berries," he added, whistling.
My brow furrowed as I leaned in. "What the hell could she have stolen?" I muttered before snatching the paper from Deuce.
"Hey! I was reading that!" Deuce grumbled, taking another sip of his drink.
I ignored him, my eyes scanning the article for more details. Y/N pulling a stunt like this wasn’t surprising, but robbing Smoker directly? That was risky, even for her. Whatever she took… it had to be something big.
"She stole classified Navy documents," I said, my voice dropping slightly. The crew quieted, a few exchanging glances.
"Classified documents?" Skull repeated. "That’s not just some treasure haul—this is serious."
Deuce leaned over my shoulder, reading along. "If the Navy’s labeling it ‘classified,’ that means it’s either battle plans, intelligence reports, or something that could shake things up big time."
I exhaled sharply, pressing my thumb against the bridge of my nose. "Dammit, Y/N… what the hell are you up to?"
"Looks like the captain and Y/N have some shared history together?" one of the crew piped up, grinning.
"History?! She gave him a lap dance when we docked on that island a year ago! She owns that pleasure hall!" Skull yelled, laughing loudly as he took another swig of his drink.
The crew burst out laughing, but I could feel my face turning a shade of red.
"Captain has had it bad for her too, since they were kids. They grew up together with the mountain bandits, right? Ace used to tease and pick on her, and she’d always give him a fight back. Ain’t that right, Captain?" Skull added with a loud laugh, clearly enjoying every second of embarrassing me.
"Shut up, Skull!" I snapped, but my voice was already tinged with embarrassment.
"So, it was a crush," Deuce teased, raising an eyebrow at me.
"It wasn’t a crush!" I yelled, though my face was already redder than a tomato. The laughter from my crew only grew louder.
Just then, Deuce’s transponder snail began ringing. He glanced at it, raising an eyebrow.
"Strange, the only people who have this number are you and the crew," Deuce muttered to himself before answering it.
"Hello?" he said, his voice casual.
"Hello, am I speaking to Masked Deuce?" The voice on the other end made my jaw drop.
No way.
"Y/N…" I muttered under my breath.
"This is he?" Deuce replied, his voice low.
I could feel the tension in the air as the crew watched me closely. The familiarity in her voice stirred something deep inside me—something I hadn’t expected.
"I'm sure you know who I am. Name’s Y/N, as much as I’d love to skip formalities, I wasn’t brought up that way." She chuckled, her teasing tone unmistakable.
"Damn it, my heart..." I thought, trying to hide the effect she had on me.
"You're Y/N?!" Deuce gasped, looking at the crew.
"In the flesh. Though, I believe we’ve never actually met. Were you on the ship the day I was on it?" Y/N’s voice came through the transponder snail, cool and calm.
"Hell no," Deuce said, his voice strained, clearly uncomfortable.
"Well, there you have it. Listen, Deuce, if it’s alright with you, can you pass me to your captain, Ace?" Y/N asked, her voice dripping with amusement.
The crew stared at me. I didn’t know whether to laugh or yell.
"My captain isn’t here. He… he’s asleep!" Deuce stammered.
"Really? At this hour?" Y/N’s teasing tone made Deuce flush a little, and I couldn’t help but laugh despite myself.
"Yeah, but enough about my captain. Why don’t you tell me a little bit about yourself?" Deuce added, clearly trying to steer the conversation away from me. He was laying it on thick, and I could practically hear him grinning on the other end.
The crew all stared at him, as if he had lost his mind. "What the hell is he doing?" one of them muttered.
"Flattery will get you nowhere, Deuce," Y/N replied, her voice playful yet sharp. "Ask your crewmate Skull."
Skull, who had been listening intently to the whole conversation, raised his glass with a wink. "Hell yeah, I’m the one who knows her best."
I rolled my eyes and was about to say something when Y/N’s voice came through the transponder snail, sharp and teasing. "It’s not that you know me best, Skull. It’s the fact that you were there that night when you and Ace stumbled upon a certain pleasure hall a year ago."
"Ouch!" Skull shouted, clearly caught off guard. The rest of the crew erupted into laughter.
I could feel my face turning red again. I wasn’t ready to relive that particular night—especially not in front of the whole crew.
Before I could react, Y/N’s voice continued, laced with amusement. "Well, if Fire Fist ever does decide to talk to me, in about 2.5 seconds, he’ll be receiving a box with a note on it."
"A box? What?" I thought, confused.
Just then, something heavy hit the deck. A box, small but oddly familiar, fell from the sky with a soft thud. Attached to it was a note, which fluttered slightly in the wind as it came to rest. My eyes widened.
How the hell did she do that? I couldn’t help but wonder.
Deuce, clearly caught up in the oddity of it all, grinned. "Will do, Killshot."
Then, as if to turn the whole situation upside down, Y/N’s voice came again, softer this time. "Also, Deuce, one other thing... thank you for being sweet."
Deuce froze for a moment, his face turning a bright shade of red. "Well, I…" He stammered, clearly flustered.
"You’re welcome," Y/N teased over the snail, clearly enjoying the effect she was having on Deuce. "I’ll be waiting for that call from Fire Fist. You guys enjoy your night."
Before any of us could respond, the line went dead, leaving nothing but the soft crackle of silence in its wake.
"Well, that’s one way to keep things interesting," Deuce muttered, still looking flushed, holding the transponder snail.
I stared at the box that had fallen from the sky, my mind racing. What the hell was she up to now? The note she mentioned—what was in that box? And why the hell would she send it to me?
"Guess we’re going to find out," Skull said, poking fun at the situation as he walked over to the box.
I clenched my fists, fighting the instinct to snap. "Don’t open it yet," I said, my tone a little sharper than I intended. "We’ll open it together. I want to know exactly what the hell she’s playing at."
The crew exchanged glances, clearly sensing the tension in the air.
Deuce spoke up, breaking the silence. "Well, whatever’s in there, it’s from Y/N. That’s gotta count for something."
I couldn’t argue with that. Y/N wasn’t someone who did things without a reason. Whatever she was up to, it wasn’t just for fun.
"You know," Skull mused, taking another swig of his drink, "She’s got you all twisted up, Ace. You can’t stop thinking about her, huh?"
I shot him a glare that could’ve melted steel, but deep down, I knew he was right.
"Shut up, Skull," I muttered under my breath, turning my attention back to the box.
Deuce was still holding the transponder snail, his fingers fidgeting with it nervously. "Well, should we just open it?"
I nodded, my mind already made up. "Yeah, we’ll open it. But not until we’re all here."
"Alright, Captain," Skull said with a grin. "Let’s see what kind of surprise the lovely Killshot’s got for you."
I couldn’t help but wonder… just what the hell was inside that box, and why the hell did Y/N have to mess with my head again?
But one thing was clear: if Y/N was involved, it was never going to be simple.
I picked at the note, the cursive writing flowing elegantly across the paper. "Since when did she learn cursive?!" I muttered to myself, running my finger over the intricate letters. There was no doubt it was from her—Y/N’s unique touch on everything.
I ripped the paper open and read it aloud, my voice almost a mix of disbelief and frustration.
"Ace, by the time you're reading this, the marines have been tracking your every move, this time more stealthily, which is why when you do receive my call I won’t go into detail as they probably have our lines wired. In about say 10 minutes or so, a marine will try to sneak into your ship, goes by Isuka. I'd say more but the documents I obtained from Smoker's home contained information on you, along with other key information you'd want to pay attention to, though knowing you, you're too dense to even pay attention. Try not to get too sloppy… Can't wait to see that freckled face of yours. Xoxo, Y/N."
And to my surprise, she even sealed it with a kiss.
I dropped the note in disbelief, my mind trying to process everything I’d just read. The marines were onto us again, but this time it was different—more cautious, more hidden. Y/N had a knack for knowing exactly what the hell was going on, even when I was just trying to enjoy a drink with the crew.
"Wait a minute," I said, looking at the crew around me, "Did she just call me dense?"
Skull, ever the one to poke fun, grinned. "Oh, she totally did, Ace. But look on the bright side, at least she’s still thinking about you, even if she’s calling you out."
I growled, irritated at the thought. "She's a damn handful, Skull." But my mind wasn’t entirely focused on that. "We’ve got bigger issues right now."
"Are we really going to take her word though, Captain?" Deuce asked, glancing at the note. "What about what’s inside the box?"
The crew fell silent, and I clenched my fist, feeling the heat begin to rise from my body as I stood there, flames sparking up along my skin. "Y/N’s father is Vice Admiral Akainu," I said, dropping the bombshell that I knew would make the crew go silent.
The room fell into stunned silence, eyes wide as the reality of what I just revealed sank in.
"Then why the hell are we believing her?!" one of the crew members spat, disbelief clear in their voice. "Her father’s a Marine legend! Why would we trust her?"
"Because she’s a pirate, damn it!" I snapped, my flames flickering around me as I tried to control my rising temper. "She hates her father. You don’t know what she’s been through. When she was a kid, her father wanted her to become a Marine, wanted her to follow his version of justice." I ran a hand through my hair, my tone growing more serious. "But she refused. She hated everything about it. He didn’t care, so he had her train with the Mountain Bandits, just like Luffy and me."
I could feel the heat of the flames as they surged in me, but I reigned them in with a deep breath. "Her mother… her mother was a member of the Revolutionary Army. She died because of Akainu's orders. That’s why Y/N’s been doing what she’s doing, why she’s so damn good at it. It’s not my place to tell the rest of her story, but trust me, she knows more than you think. She’s got her own reasons for being the way she is."
The crew exchanged uneasy glances, the weight of what I said hanging in the air.
"But she’s not some saint," I added, my voice hardening. "She’s a pirate, and a damn clever one at that.”
The crew exchanged uneasy glances, the weight of what I said hanging in the air.
"Damn..." Deuce muttered, shaking his head.
"You're right about Kill Shot, Fire Fist," came an unfamiliar voice, cutting through the tension like a blade.
Every head snapped toward the source of the voice. A woman stood at the edge of the ship, her stance unwavering, her Marine coat billowing in the night breeze. She held a firm grip on the hilt of her sword, her gaze sharp as she looked at me.
"Akainu has been on her tail since the second she became a pirate," she continued, stepping forward. "And now, I’m here to take you in."
I smirked, shaking my head as I glanced at my crew. "Now, do you believe me when I tell you Y/N doesn’t lie?"
Skull let out a low whistle, while Deuce tensed beside me, his hand twitching near his weapon.
"You must be Isuka," I said, turning my full attention to the Marine.
Her eyes narrowed. "And you must be Portgas D. Ace."
"Depends on who's asking," I shot back, flames flickering to life at my fingertips.
She didn’t flinch. "I don’t care about your games. Surrender now, and I won’t have to burn this entire ship to the ground."
I let out a short laugh. "You think you’re the only one who can burn things?" My body ignited, the warm glow of my flames illuminating the deck. "Let’s see who gets burned first."
The crew readied themselves, weapons drawn, as the air grew thick with tension.
"Well then," Isuka said, drawing her sword. "Let’s find out."
Y/N POV..
"Captain?" said Sebastian, his voice breaking the silence.
"Yes, Bash?" I replied, setting the stolen documents aside.
"You let Ace know?" he asked, leaning against the desk with arms crossed.
"Heck no," I scoffed, shaking my head. "You heard the news coo—those damn Marines already know we stole the docs. They probably had wires tapped on my call and Ace’s, which is exactly why I called Masked Deuce instead."
Sebastian chuckled. "Smart. You think they’ll figure it out?"
I smirked, leaning back in my chair. "That’s also why I sent the box with the note tied to it. Let’s just hope he’s not dense and actually uses his ten minutes wisely."
Sebastian snorted. "We are talking about Fire Fist Ace, right? That’s a gamble."
I sighed, rubbing my temples. "Yeah… but it’s a gamble I’m willing to take."
"Now, what’s on the agenda for us?" I asked, glancing at Bash as he plopped into the chair beside me.
He leaned back, resting his boots on the table with a smirk. "Well, aside from waiting to see if Fire Fist figures out your little warning in time, we’ve got a few things to handle."
I raised a brow. "Go on."
"First, we need to move before the Marines close in on our location. We made a hell of a scene stealing those documents, and I’m sure they’re not just gonna sit back and let us slip away."
I nodded, tapping my fingers against the armrest. "Fair point. What else?"
Bash sighed. "Well… we also need to figure out what the hell to do with these documents. You risked a lot to get them, so what exactly are we looking at here?"
I reached for the folder and flipped it open, scanning the pages. "Classified Navy intelligence—movements, bounties, and…" My eyes narrowed. "A list of pirates they plan to eliminate next."
Bash frowned. "Anyone we know?"
I exhaled sharply, my grip tightening on the paper. "More than a few. And Ace is on that damn list."
Bash cursed under his breath. "Figures. So what’s the play, Captain?"
I shut the folder and met his gaze. "We warn who we can, we move fast, and if the Marines want a fight…" A slow smirk crept onto my lips. "Then we give them one."
"Also, Captain, we need to stop at a nearby island to stock up on supplies and food, and—" Bash hesitated for a second before smirking. "The crew also wants to know what your relationship with Fire Fist Ace is."
I groaned, rubbing my temples. "Of course, they do. Nosy bastards."
Bash chuckled. "Can you blame them? You dropped a box from the sky with a love note and a kiss mark on it. Kinda raises some questions."
I shot him a glare. "I’ll address that later. First things first—what’s the nearest island?"
Bash glanced at the map spread out on the table. "We’re near a Marine base."
I perked up, a wicked grin stretching across my face. "Ohh, this is rich…"
Bash shook his head with a sigh. "I know that look. Alright, what’s the plan?"
"Round up the troops," I said, standing up and stretching. "You and I are infiltrating the Navy base, grabbing food and supplies—maybe even snagging some important documents while we’re at it. Then we head out quick before they even realize what hit ‘em."
Bash smirked. "I like the way you think, Captain."
I grabbed my coat, throwing it over my shoulders. "Make sure Julio is on guard while we’re gone. We don’t need any surprises while we’re inside."
Bash gave a mock salute. "Aye, aye, Captain. Time to go stir up some trouble."

Top Questions to Ask Before Renting an Ac Unit
Tumblr media
When the heat of summer arrives, staying extraordinary becomes a necessity, especially in environments that demand comfort for productivity, such as offices, events, and homes. Renting an air conditioning (AC) unit can be an excellent solution to combat the sweltering temperatures without the commitment of purchasing a unit. However, before you take the plunge, it’s crucial to ensure that you make an informed decision. Below are some essential questions you should consider asking before you rent an AC unit.
1. What Type of AC Unit Do I Need?
Understanding the specific requirements of your space is fundamental when deciding to rent an AC unit. Different environments may call for various types of air conditioning systems. For instance, if you're cooling a small office or a server room, a portable AC unit might suffice, providing adequate cooling without requiring extensive installation. Conversely, larger spaces or applications like event venues may require more robust solutions like chillers or ducted systems. At Andrews Sykes, we offer various options, including portable units, chillers, and even dehumidifiers to cater to multiple needs. Assessing the size and layout of your space and the number of occupants will guide you to the appropriate choice.
2. How Efficient Is the AC Unit?
Energy efficiency is a critical factor when selecting an air conditioning unit. Not only does an efficient unit reduce your carbon footprint, but it can also significantly impact your operating costs. Ask about the energy efficiency rating of the units available for rent. Units with higher ratings typically use less energy to achieve the desired cooling effect. At Andrews Sykes, our team can provide insights into energy-efficient models that can help you save on utility bills while ensuring optimal performance, allowing you to maintain a comfortable environment without overspending.
3. What Is the Rental Period and Pricing Structure?
Understanding the rental terms is vital to avoid unexpected costs. Inquire about the minimum rental period and the pricing structure. Some companies may offer daily, weekly, or monthly rates, which can vary significantly based on the type and size of the unit. At Andrews Sykes, we pride ourselves on providing transparent pricing without hidden fees, ensuring you know exactly what you’re paying for. It's also worth asking about any additional costs that may arise, such as delivery, installation, and maintenance services. Knowing this information upfront helps you budget effectively for your cooling needs.
4. What Support Services Are Included?
When renting an AC unit, it's essential to understand what support services are included in the rental agreement. Will you receive assistance with the installation? What about maintenance during the rental period? At Andrews Sykes, we offer comprehensive support, including delivery, installation, and 24-hour service. This means you can rest assured that our dedicated team is just a phone call away if any issues arise. Knowing you have access to professional support can significantly enhance your rental experience, ensuring the unit operates smoothly throughout its use.
5. Are There Any Additional Features?
Modern air conditioning units have various features that can enhance your experience. Features such as programmable thermostats, remote controls, and air purifying technology can significantly improve usability and comfort. When you rent an AC, inquire about the available features of the units you are considering. At Andrews Sykes, we offer a range of options that include advanced features tailored to meet specific needs. Understanding these features can help you make a choice that aligns with your comfort preferences and operational requirements.
6. What Are the Delivery and Installation Options?
The logistics of getting your AC unit into your space can often be overlooked until it's too late. Ask about the delivery options, such as how long it takes for the unit to arrive and whether same-day delivery is available. Andrews Sykes provides nationwide coverage with fast delivery services, ensuring you can get your cooling solution when needed. Additionally, inquire about the installation process. Some rental companies may offer installation services, saving you time and ensuring the unit is set up correctly for optimal performance.
7. What Happens If There’s a Breakdown?
Even the best equipment can experience malfunctions. Inquire about the procedures should the unit break down during your rental period. Understanding the response time for repairs and the support provided can save you from potential frustration. At Andrews Sykes, we offer a 24-hour service, ensuring you are never left in the heat for long. Knowing you have reliable support in emergencies lets you focus on your activities without worrying about unexpected cooling issues.
8. Can I Customise the Rental Agreement?
Finally, ask whether the rental agreement is flexible. Depending on your needs, you may require a unit for a longer or shorter duration than initially anticipated. Understanding the cancellation terms and the possibility of extending your rental can be beneficial. Andrews Sykes understands that needs can change; therefore, we strive to provide adaptable rental agreements that suit your specific requirements, offering peace of mind throughout the rental term.
Conclusion
Renting an AC unit can be a seamless and efficient solution for your cooling needs, provided you ask the right questions. You can make an informed decision that enhances your comfort and productivity by ensuring you understand the type of unit you need, its efficiency, rental terms, support services, and additional features. At Andrews Sykes, we are dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of air conditioning solutions and exceptional service to meet your requirements. When you rent an AC with us, you can stay calm, productive, and one step ahead.

Stay Cool This Summer: AC on Rent in Gurgaon
Gurgaon's scorching summers can be unbearable, especially when temperatures regularly cross 40°C. While purchasing an air conditioner seems like the obvious solution, it's not always practical—particularly if you're in temporary accommodation, have visiting guests, or need cooling for a short-term office space.
This is where AC rental services come to the rescue. Ac on rent in Gurgaon offers an affordable and flexible way to beat the heat without the commitment of buying. You get immediate relief from the sweltering weather without worrying about installation hassles or long-term maintenance.
Tumblr media
Benefits of Renting an AC in Gurgaon
One of the biggest advantages of renting is flexibility. Whether you need an AC for just a few days, a couple of weeks, or several months, rental services offer plans that fit your schedule. Unlike buying, where you're stuck with a large upfront cost, renting allows you to pay only for the duration you use the appliance.
Maintenance is another major plus. Reputable rental companies handle installation, servicing, and any repairs, so you don’t have to deal with the inconvenience of finding a technician. This is especially helpful if you're not familiar with AC maintenance or don’t want the added responsibility.
Cost savings make renting an attractive option. High-quality air conditioners can be expensive, often costing tens of thousands of rupees. Renting gives you access to premium brands at a fraction of the price, making it ideal for students, professionals in shared accommodations, or anyone who needs temporary cooling.
Choosing the Right AC for Your Needs
Before renting, consider the size of your room. A 1-ton AC is sufficient for small spaces (100–120 sq. ft.), while larger rooms (up to 180 sq. ft.) may require a 1.5-ton unit. The type of AC also matters—split ACs are quieter and more energy-efficient, whereas window ACs are easier to install and more budget-friendly.
Portable ACs are another great option if you need something that can be moved around easily. They don’t require permanent installation, making them perfect for rented spaces or temporary setups.
How to Rent an AC in Gurgaon
The process is simple. Start by determining your cooling needs based on room size and usage. Next, compare rental plans from different providers—prices typically range from ₹6,499 to ₹10,999 per month, depending on the AC type and brand.
Once you’ve made your choice, booking is usually quick, with many companies offering same-day or next-day installation. Ensure the rental agreement covers servicing and repairs so you don’t face unexpected costs later.
Final Thoughts
Ac on rent in Gurgaon is a smart, cost-effective solution for staying comfortable during the hot months. It eliminates the need for a big investment and provides the convenience of professional maintenance. Whether you're a student, a working professional, or someone hosting guests, AC rentals offer a hassle-free way to keep cool.

The Ultimate Guide to Container Office: Revolutionizing Modern Workspaces
In recent years, the concept of Container Office has gained significant traction as a sustainable, cost-effective, and flexible solution for modern workspaces. Whether you're a startup looking for an affordable office space or a large corporation aiming to expand your operations, Container Office offers a unique blend of functionality and style. This comprehensive guide will explore the benefits, design possibilities, and practical considerations of Container Office, helping you understand why it’s becoming a go-to choice for businesses worldwide.
What is a Container Office?
A Container Office is a workspace constructed using repurposed shipping containers. These containers, typically made of steel, are modified and outfitted to serve as fully functional office spaces. The concept leverages the durability and modularity of shipping containers, transforming them into innovative work environments that cater to various business needs.
Why Choose a Container Office?
Cost-Effective Solution: Traditional office spaces can be prohibitively expensive, especially in urban areas. Container Office offers a more affordable alternative, reducing construction and rental costs significantly.
Sustainability: Repurposing shipping containers for office use is an eco-friendly choice. It reduces waste and minimizes the need for new construction materials, contributing to a greener planet.
Flexibility and Mobility: One of the standout features of a Container Office is its portability. These offices can be easily relocated, making them ideal for businesses that require temporary or mobile workspaces.
Quick Installation: Unlike traditional offices that can take months to build, a Container Office can be set up in a matter of weeks. This rapid deployment is perfect for businesses that need to hit the ground running.
Customizable Design: Container Office spaces can be tailored to meet specific business requirements. From open-plan layouts to private cabins, the design possibilities are endless.
Designing Your Container Office
1. Space Planning
When designing a Container Office, efficient space planning is crucial. Consider the number of employees, the type of work being conducted, and the need for common areas like meeting rooms and break spaces. Modular designs allow for easy expansion as your business grows.
2. Insulation and Climate Control
Shipping containers are made of steel, which can get extremely hot or cold depending on the weather. Proper insulation is essential to ensure a comfortable working environment. Options include spray foam insulation, panel insulation, and eco-friendly materials like sheep’s wool.
3. Lighting and Ventilation
Natural light and proper ventilation are key to creating a pleasant workspace. Large windows, skylights, and strategically placed vents can enhance airflow and reduce the need for artificial lighting and air conditioning.
4. Interior Design
The interior design of your Container Office should reflect your company’s brand and culture. Use modern furniture, vibrant colors, and innovative storage solutions to create a dynamic and inspiring work environment.
5. Technology Integration
Ensure your Container Office is equipped with the latest technology. High-speed internet, smart lighting, and energy-efficient appliances can boost productivity and reduce operational costs.
Practical Considerations for Container Office
1. Permits and Regulations
Before setting up a Container Office, check local zoning laws and building codes. Some areas may have specific regulations regarding the use of shipping containers for commercial purposes.
2. Foundation and Stability
A solid foundation is essential for the stability and longevity of your Container Office. Options include concrete slabs, piers, and helical piles. Consult with a structural engineer to determine the best foundation for your site.
3. Utilities and Services
Ensure your Container Office has access to essential utilities like electricity, water, and sewage. Plan for the installation of these services during the design phase to avoid costly modifications later.
4. Security
Security is a critical consideration for any office space. Install robust locks, security cameras, and alarm systems to protect your Container Office from unauthorized access.
5. Maintenance
While shipping containers are durable, regular maintenance is necessary to keep your Container Office in top condition. Inspect for rust, leaks, and structural damage periodically and address any issues promptly.
Case Studies: Successful Container Office Implementations
1. Tech Startups
Many tech startups have embraced Container Office for its affordability and flexibility. Companies like Google and Facebook have used container-based offices to house their growing teams, proving that innovation doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag.
2. Construction Sites
Container Office is a popular choice for construction site offices. Its portability allows it to be moved as the project progresses, providing a consistent and comfortable workspace for site managers and workers.
3. Remote Work Hubs
With the rise of remote work, Container Office has emerged as an ideal solution for creating remote work hubs. These offices can be set up in rural or underserved areas, providing employees with a dedicated workspace close to home.
Future Trends in Container Office
1. Smart Offices
The integration of IoT (Internet of Things) technology is set to revolutionize Container Office. Smart offices equipped with automated lighting, climate control, and security systems will enhance efficiency and employee comfort.
2. Green Building Certifications
As sustainability becomes a priority, more Container Office projects are aiming for green building certifications like LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). These certifications recognize environmentally responsible construction practices and can enhance a company’s reputation.
3. Modular Expansion
The modular nature of Container Office allows for easy expansion. Future trends may see more businesses adopting modular designs that can be quickly scaled up or down based on changing needs.
Conclusion
The Container Office is more than just a trend; it’s a practical, sustainable, and innovative solution for modern workspaces. By understanding the benefits, design possibilities, and practical considerations, businesses can make informed decisions about incorporating Container Office into their operations.
