The first person I matched with was all the way in Japan (I'm in Canada) and it was actually super smooth connection wise! I only had time for a handful of matches today but so far.. holy crap what an improvement from Tekken7's wack ass netcode.

So 1st day of Tekken 8 Beta is finished to me. Here's some considerations: 1. Game's perfomance is better than CNT but you still need to spend some time in Settings menu to adjust the video settings (especially if your PC meets the minimum requirements or is just above them). More specifically, the choice of Upscaling is crucial to get a fluid experience. Also, SSD can be extremely helpful to reduce loading times! 2. I tried the Tekken Lounge. There are many cool areas I'm looking forward to visiting. I have to explore it further because so far I've spent most time doing matches ahah. 3. I still have to get used to Heat System. I guess the reason is also the lack of Training Mode. 4. There's a tutorial mode, which will be expanded in the full game! Also, when you display your character's movelist, there's a section about the character's main techniques (short combos and suggestions about when to use them). Beginners truly have all needed tools to learn and get better.

I just wish they'd put Leo in the CBT... but oh well, guess I'll try Claudio.

TEKKEN 8 - CLOSED BETA TEST!

Ahead of the 2023 Tokyo Game Show, Bandai Namco have confirmed the date for Tekken 8's Closed Beta as the 20th of October! That means in just over a month we'll be throwing it down if we're lucky enough to be selected!

That's not all either... It was also confirmed that character Feng Wei will be returning and it looks like he's stronger than before! Don't take our word for it... That comes from Leroy Smith who gets it absolutely HANDED to him in this new trailer above!

Registration closes on 11th October but don't wait around! Throw your name into the beta battleground and pray they punch you in! If you took part in the CNT in July then no further registration is required!

Harada confirms Rollback, Crossplay and a Beta for Tekken 8.

Fans ask Harada will Tekken 8 include Rollback and Crossplay. As you can see in these recent tweets, Harada confirmed that rollback netcode will be implemented in Tekken 8, along with crossplay functionality and a beta test. This is a big deal. Rollback netcode and the addition of crossplay will allow players from different platforms to compete against each other. But I think people forgot it…
