The rose of heaven The flower of the sky that saw your beautiful eyes; Like the morning star forever; Because my tears are life, I will never forget you. You are surrounded by beautiful gold; Your greatness reigns over me; I call it the riddle of nardos. With that good gift in the kingdom of heaven; Set in a sapphire gem in eternal place; As your house was built there; If I miss you in the deep darkness; If my age is counted, since yesterday. Pushing my soul in the appointment of death; Oh, when I make my conscience confused; Inanimate nonsense, lost on earth; O rose, I have saved you on earth; And when my time passes, I wait for you; Let my light shine for me, dream without fading; Talent and gem, my eternal dream; All my gifts are my tears; Even today I am sick of your beauty. When my heart splits, when it splits in the horizon; When my sick heart waits for tomorrow; You are not a rebel today. Blue flower when you are sick. I will not fail even today because I saw the world. I always wait for your love wedding. Come to me in the morning in the middle of the heat; Let the happiness of your home shine for me like the sun. My candle shines, my life shines; My longing is on a flowing rock; Today, you will leave my time. For the dawn will rise from my resting place; My days as a local star lit up; Let your love protect me By Yohannes Teferi today 27/11/2013 See less

MTG Planeswalker Soulmate AU
@stormconduit Full outline of the soulmate AU per plane including some walkers from unknown planes
EDIT: Forgot to put soulmate method initially lol
AU where soulmates are a thing, but the method of finding your soulmate changes depending on the plane.
Methods are one sided when your soulmate is on a different plane.
Ex A Dominarian would have the name of their Ravnican Soulmate, but the Ravnican would not have their name and would instead get their skills.
When on the same plane, methods become mutual.
Ex: If the Dominarian and Ravnican were on the same plane, the Ravnican would develop the Dominarian’s name (in addition to having their skills) and the Dominarian would develop the Ravnican’s skills (in addition to having their name).
Alara: Ajani/Tezzeret
The heartbeat of your soulmate is on your wrist (similar to the line on a heart monitor)
When we go back to Theros (and Elspeth probably comes back) Ajani sees the heartbeat on his wrist start back up
Amonkhet: Samut
Soulmates cannot lie to eachother
I liked the idea of Djeru's conflict between knowing Samut couldn't lie to him, but also refusing to accept everything he knows is wrong
Dominaria: Urza/Karn/Bolas/Ugin/Venser/Jaya/Freylise/Teferi/Windgrace/Serra/Liliana
The name of your soulmate as well as a title signifying their greatest accomplishment on your wrist
This was primarily due to the focus on history/sagas on Dominaria with accomplishments being a significant part of ones identity
I also liked the idea of Urza's soulmate (probably Yawgmoth) having "Urza, Destroyer of Worlds" on their wrist
Eldraine: Will/Rowen
You are black/white colorblind until you touch your soulmate
Idk, this is one of the ones that seemed the most fairy-taley
Fiora : Dack/Daretti
Can send a message to your soulmate after dying, essentially last words
I see Dack as having not yet met his soulmate (I think he is womanizing?) and when he dies in WAR his death message is just apologizing for never being able to meet them
Gobakhan: Teyo
Dial on wrist that shows how much danger your soul mate is in
Reason Teyo became a Shieldmage, wanted to be able to protect his soulmate
Innistrad: Sorin/Tibalt/Arlinn
Soulmates constantly reincarnate in each other’s lives
vampires constantly watching lovers grow old and die. Vampires also can't reincarnate (as Vampirism is demonic based)
St Traft made the ultimate sacrifice to keep protecting Innistrad giving up his ability to reincarnate
Ixalan: Huatli
Wherever your soulmate touches temporarily changes color
It just seemed appropriate especially for Huatli who is a poet
Kaladesh: Chandra/Dovin/Saheeli
Whenever you touch your soulmate you feel a mild spark
It seemed suitable for a plane focused on technology
Chandra probably keeps poking Nissa (in the same way children touch people after building up static)
Dovin definitely avoids touching people
Kamigawa : Tamiyo
Red string of fate
I just thought it fit the Kamigawa aesthetic well
Mirrodin: Koth
Countdown timer until death
I found it interesting if the Mirran survivors realized that no one's timer lasted longer than a particular point, when would they just give up
Plane of Mountain and Seas: Jiang/Mu Yangling
You can taste whatever your soulmate tastes
I can just see Jiang and Mowu trying to find his soulmate based on the taste of each plane's food
Ravnica: Ral/Vraska/Domri
Share talents/skills
I really needed an explanation for how Vraska and Ral know how to read
Awkward misunderstanding where Ral thinks his knowledge of law comes from Jace
Also how Jace learns to sail so quickly
Skalla: Vivien
You can give years of your life to your soulmate.
Vivien gave as much of her life as she could to try to keep her soulmate alive during the destruction of Skalla. She knows she doesn't have long left so focuses solely on revenge
Tarkir: Sarkhan/Narset
You feel a constant pull in the direction of your soulmate
Both Sarkhan and Narset are described as feeling restless constantly
Theros: Gideon/Xenagos
You feel whatever pain your soulmate does
BEING GIDEON IS SUFFERING - Gideon's invulnerability keeps him from feeling anything from his soulmate
Vryn: Jace
Soulmates share a telepathic connection
I just kind of liked the idea of Jace being lonely in his own head and his telepathy developing as a result of his lonliness
Zendikar: Nahiri/Kiora/Nissa
You can give mana and take mana from your soulmate
Basically the whole Nissa and Chandra, Channel/Fireball
I can also see Nahiri accidentally drawing too much mana and accidentally killing her soulmate during the sealing of the Eldrazi, would explain why she is so bitter
UNKNOWN PLANES
Angrath
Whatever your soulmate is thinking about you is written on your skin
Angrath constantly has reminders that his family misses him, nothing gets back to his family so they think he is dead
Elspeth
Doesn’t have a method of finding a soulmate, phyrexian corrupted planes don’t have a method (they can still have soulmates though)
Garruk
Cannot harm soulmate
Part of the reason he murders his way across the multiverse, hoping to find someone he is unable to hurt
Kaya
Soulmate tattoos
Kaya/Teysa pairing (maybe platonic) and Kaya with the Orzhov symbol tattooed on her and making everyone in Orzhov super uncomfortable
Oko
You can only be killed by your soulmate
I just saw it as a very Oko thing
Wanderer
If you don’t find your soulmate by the time you turn X years old, you die
The Wanderer essentially was given a death sentence when their spark ignited, as it would be nearly impossible to find them given the size of the multiverse
constant planeswalking is the result of trying desperately to find their soulmate

No Bull: A Gruulfriends Fan Fic
Inspired by @drantlers: I see you, I hear your vision
War of the Spark Spoilers below!
Nissa grunted irritably as she pried another chunk of rock off the prone form of Vitu-gazi. It would have been much more efficient to re-vitalize the elemental herself, and have it clear the rubble off its own body, but there were dozens of selesnyans working alongside her, and from the sidelong glances they were giving Nissa, she surmised they had not forgiven her for what Bolas' god-eternals had done to their beloved tree.
Nissa sighed. She understood how they felt. It didn't make the situation any less frustrating. There was an obvious solution, she just couldn't do it.
The plaza was full of ravnicans from every guild, clearing out the debris and re-building the shattered structures that the eternals had razed. Gruul kronches and Orzhov thrulls worked side-by-side to haul away wagons of rubble. Rakdos and Golgari volunteers had brought in heaps of food, and were preparing meals for wounded and the workers alike under the direction of a well-dressed imp. Boros angels and Dimir spies surveyed the buildings, looking for potential dangers to the salvage crews.
And among all the native citizens, planeswalkers lent their myriad talents to the city's recovery.
"Heads up!"
Nissa turned to see two streams of flame light up yet another neatly-stacked heap of eternals. Samut was still working diligently at gathering her fallen comrades for respectful disposal, with Chandra and Jaya helping her to carry and immolate the metal-plated warriors.
Chandra turned and caught Nissa's eye from halfway across the plaza. Nissa turned away quickly, blushing.
I should go and talk to her, Nissa thought. I should… she took a step toward across the plaza and stopped short, grasping for words in her mind.
What are you supposed to say to someone after 'I love you?' What is there to say?
So she turned and carried her chunk of rubble determinedly to the other side of the plaza. Angrath, the minotaur with the burning chains, and Arlinn Kord, the older human woman who had been a wolf for the better part of Bolas' invasion, were working together to unearth the remains of the chambers of the Guildpact. Jace shifted sadly through the remains of his library a few feet away. Niv Mizzet lay sprawled nearby, in conversation with Teferi, one of the new gatewatch members. The dragon didn’t seem like the merry type, but whatever Teferi had just said made Niv-Mizzet chuckle.
"LESS TALKING, MORE ELBOW GREASE, WINDBAGS!"
Angrath stalked past the dragon and the time-mage, hauling a massive slab of stone and metal with his chains. Arlinn walked alongside him, another large rock cradled in her arms. "ARE YOU JUST GONNA LET US OLD-TIMERS MOVE ALL THIS ROCK??"
Niv-Mizzet sniffed. "I am millennia-old, little planeswalker. Your years pale in comparison to my own."
"BAH! DID YOUR YEARS LEAVE YOU USELESS AS WELL AS BORING?"
Teferi shrugged "Well, I've only got the one millennia under my belt, so I guess that makes me a spring chicken." He waved his staff and sped up several of the Azorius and Izzet constructs that were sifting through the rubble. This seemed to shame Niv-Mizzet at least a degree, and he started scooping up rocks.
"HARD WORK WILL KEEP YOU YOUNG, DRAGON!" Angrath laughed as he hauled his own burden to the edge of the plaza and loaded it onto a wagon. Nissa threw her boulder right behind his, and the minotaur gave her an approving nod.
"Now THAT'S the way we get work done!" He offered Nissa a rough handshake.
"You…you certainly don't have any trouble letting everyone know what's on your mind," Nissa observed.
"MUCH easier to get the job done that way, don't you think?" Even when he wasn't roaring, Angrath roared. "I've been watching you all move stones off that tree all day. You ought to TELL them to let YOU take care of it."
"I thought of just doing that." Nissa walked with Angrath back toward the chamber building. "But that tree…it's important to them. Sacred…I think I need to respect their feelings on the matter."
Angrath snorted, almost like a laugh, but nodded in agreement. "Feelings, well, there's a TIME and a PLACE to respect those, and if it's all the same to them…" he shrugged.
"We have time now. In a crisis, I wouldn't bother asking."
"HAH!" Angrath grinned, and wrapped his chain around another boulder. "An elf of action, huh?"
"Yes." Nissa knelt and lifted a flat slab of stone as tall as she was. "When it comes to, well…just acting." She looked up at Angrath from under the stone. "How do you do it so easily? Talk with all of them like that, I mean."
Angrath was silent a moment, pursing his lips as best as someone with a bull's head could purse their lips.
"I've seen many worlds, and I suppose I'm lucky to come from one where we speak our minds freely. It's an honest way to live. When I'm HAPPY, I want to share my JOY. When my daughters make me PROUD, I want them to know how important they are, and how much I CHERISH them. If I have a quarrel with my neighbor, I will tell them directly so that we can quickly put the quarrel to bed." He laughed, a loud, boisterous sound.
Nissa nodded, slowly. "And what about the times when you don't know if your feelings are welcome? When…when the feelings you have…you don't know if you can put a voice to them? Isn't that selfish, to say something badly and hurt the other person?"
"It's all practice." Angrath looked up, almost pensive. "And sometimes…well, if you aren't a little selfish in making your feelings known, then they just sit in your belly like a lead weight. You have to say things badly before you get good at saying them well." He chucked his boulder onto the wagon and sat down on a fallen column. "But you sound like you have something you need to say."
"There…there's a girl." Nissa hefted the slab onto the wagon and sat down next to Angrath. "I had…months to say something to her. My…my feelings that is."
"Anger?"
"Oh…no, nothing like that."
"Irritation? Did she make a dinosaur stand on your chest?"
"I…no, it's…it's…" Nissa was wringing her hands together in her lap. "It's, um. It's l…l…"
"Love?"
Nissa's ears were burning. "Y…yes."
Angrath nodded. "That's a tricky one."
"Isn't it?" Nissa's voice rose. "You meet this…this person and they make you feel something you've never felt your whole life. You can't even put a finger on it and by the time you do it feels too late to say something, and you start to doubt what it even is you feel, and then you…you just self-destruct emotionally at the first opportunity and storm off and…and…"
"Ah." Angrath laughed, a mercifully discreet one this time. "I wondered why the red one was looking at you so much."
Nissa realized belatedly that she had been staring straight at Chandra from across the Plaza for the past minute. Her hands gripped her knees and she looked straight down at her lap.
"Have you told her all that? It might not have been poetry, but it was honest. Honesty beats poetry any day."
"This is…the first time I've seen her since I left."
"And how have things been since?"
"We had…we had a moment. She said she loved me, and I know that she meant that. With all her heart. I…I could never say it before but I realized that if Bolas' plan had worked…I would never have had the chance to say it. So I did."
"That's PERFECT, then!" Angrath raised a hand as if to clap Nissa on the back, then lowered the hand, and raised an eyebrow instead. "Isn't it?"
"I…it felt right, but in the context of our conversation…" Nissa bit her lip, trying to find the right words. "…We had been discussing platonic love right before, so really…she might not have realized what I meant by it, so I can't really say it was a satisfactory conversation."
"Say it again. Don't leave any room for doubt."
"But…" Nissa paused, grasping again for words. She looked up, straight at Chandra. "…but what if I'm wrong? What if I've been imagining it all in my head and she doesn't want to be my friend after this?"
"It's the difference between saying how you feel and expecting people to act how you want them." Angrath dusted off his trousers and stood. "You can do the first without demanding the second. You said you believed her? Believe in yourself a little bit too, huh?"
"I suppose that's true." Nissa tore her eyes away from Chandra and smiled. "Thank you. I think that helps."
"You don't have to do things the way I do them. Not everyone has the chops I've got." Angrath flexed a forearm and grinned. "Tell her in a moment alone, if it suits you. Shout it from the city square if that's the way you feel about her. But don't think your feelings don't matter enough to speak them aloud. That's no way to live."
And then he was striding off, swinging his arms and cursing up at Niv-Mizzet again.
Nissa let out a long breath, and closed her eyes. Her heartbeat was returning to normal. Her face cooling.
Think what you feel, then say what you feel.
She took in another breath, slowly, filling her lungs.
You love Chandra. More than a friend. More than a teammate.
She opened her eyes.
How will you say it?
"Hey Nissa!" Chandra was running toward her, vaulting over rubble and cracks in the plaza. Something trailing steam balanced on her upturned palm. Her smile. Her hair. Her fire…Nissa had never thought much of fire, but now she couldn't imagine life without it.
"The zombie-food is actually pretty good!" Chandra plopped down next to Nissa and offered a steaming plate of spicy-sweet-smelling food. "I uh…wasn't sure what you'd want so I got a little bit of everything."
Nissa looked at the plate, than at the woman in front of her. She took another deep breath.
Here we go.

OH MY GOD I HAVE SO MANY FAVORITES. Overall, my top 3 are all American Gods scents, which I have in full sized bottles: Jeweled Spider, Zorya Polunochnyaya, and Take the Moon. I have a few planned purchases (like Banana Peel in a Graveyard), and I going to a local event to smell all the Halloween scents.. It pretty obvious what happening. You get butthurt when somebody demos you, so you think it shouldn be in the game. If there something about it that you don like, that totally acceptable and valid. I really enjoy Anya, but unfortunately the camera clicking noises are just too frequent for me to be able to comfortably sit through a whole video. I know it probably not something she can control, and things like that usually don bother me. So i honestly feel bad because i love supporting smaller BGs and actively seek them out, but I just have a hard time with her videos because of this one technical thing that she probably can do anything about :( I definitely will check in with her from time to time though because she super talented and has some interesting video ideas!. In a developed country, a relatively small fraction of households will own a large fraction of the cameras (or cars, or video gaming systems, or whatever). In America, a relatively small fraction of households owns a large fraction of the guns. A relatively small fraction of tweets get retweeted 철원출장샵 a large number of times. People are reacting not just to characters, but to cards. I certain that a good portion of the hate generated toward Jace and Gideon is due to [[Jace the Mindsculptor]] and [[Gideon Ally of Zendikar]], two cards that are miserable to play against. I legit curious to see what [[Teferi, Hero of Dominaria]] does to perception of Teferi the character. Nah fuck JR and Mo forever. THey were garbage here. Glad Mo pulled his head out of his ass and is a better coach for Winnipeg I guess. I think I go the exploration route tomorrow. I have just received the Lime Crime Venus II today (planned purchase, had been on my wishlist for over six months actually probably close to a year and I am sooo happy) and I associate the colour yellow with the Little Prince. So I try a look I been dying to try with Mustard and Fly and a green liner in the waterline (Trend it up Ultra Matte Kajal) for the boy green clothes. It's also very narrow and bumpy, and it is not unusual for cars to make contact with the barriers. Extra wings are also used on the cars that race at Monaco to make sure enough downforce is created. Because overtaking is almost impossible, securing a good grid position is absolutely essential to securing a victory at Monaco (we'll get into grid positioning later).. Oh I miss her so much! I love anti hauls in general but hers are simply the best. While other BG tells us why they won't buy a certain product, Kimberly tells us not only why we don't need a certain product, but also tells us in a very informative way about the dangers of consumerism. It's not only about "wow this palette is boring so I won't buy it" but rather that most beauty products in general are redundant and that we don't really need most of it. In a suburb of Saint Paul, MN. Back in the 철원출장샵 80s. The neighborhood fought it and the city denied whatever permits were required. But he built this place, these things, filled with joy and magic and wonder. I can think of anyone I know who doesn have a favorite Disney film. And the studio only gets better and tackles bigger and bigger issues with time.

In Today’s Magic Story...
Return to Dominaria: Episode 10
Last time we--
Wait. THAT ART ON THE LINK. IS IT--?
WE GET SLIMEFOOT IN TODAY’S STORY!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU MARTHA WELLS!!!!!!!!!
Okay, ah... back to the story.
Slimefoot isn’t referred to by gender specific pronouns. “As it grew out of its sporehood...” Good to know!
This sounds like the night when the phoenix attacked. But agreed, a whack wouldn’t be good at all.
“There’s fire outside but nope I’m staying with my comfy ship.” -- Slimefoot, probably.
A warm white star? I think that’s the powerstone containing the remnants of Serra’s realm. This thing really is a cure-all plot device! First the Weatherlight is running again, then Arvad’s vampirism is lessened, now Slimefoot feels safe again! Is there anything it cannot cure?
Well phyresis perhaps
Slimefoot knows that the ship is sailing through the sky, and it knows the word Thran.
This part is while Tiana and Arvad were guarding the ship.
This white star seems to be pulling all the strings here... Surrounding Tiana’s voice, calling Arvad from across the world... hmm...
Reminder that Arvad is the Weatherlight’s Chef.
Now they’re the desert, recruiting Teferi.
And now they’re in Yavimaya! My how time flies...
WAIT IT DOES ‘CAUSE TEFERI’S ON A SKYSHIP! GET IT!?
From what I recall of reading what other people wrote about reading the Weatherlight Saga, Karn got along really well with the previous Weatherlight. So of course the white star recognizes him.
Very interesting note here, about the patterns in her blood being the same in the ship’s bones... is it a reference to Urza’s bloodlines project?
Well yeah, I can imagine. Being the Father of the Machines for a while would cause you to view everything else as strange... actually no that sentence makes no sense whatsoever.
Jodah told you about Jaya, Jhoira? What did he tell you exactly?
Also god that’s a lot of names that start with J...
Reminder that Jaya and Jodah worked together during the Ice Age -- and if I recall correctly it was Jodah that ignited Jaya’s spark. Don’t quote me on that, though.
The white star doesn’t object to Liliana, which given what we know with the story spotlight cards is curious.
Gideon told her, "No, and I won't. It's not my story to tell, is it."
It’s not a question, it’s a statement.
Seems like Gideon’s patience is almost infinite.
Okay I just noticed something in the Slimefoot art.
If I can’t unsee this than neither will you!
Oi, be nice to Slimefoot. It doesn’t know it smells -- it doesn’t have a nose!
"Oh, holy Serra," Tiana said. Slimefoot waved at her.
Slimefoot you are so precious this makes up for the meme.
Actually yes, fungi on Dominaria are called thallids! On Alara, they’re predominantly known as either myconids or food.
Knowledge comes at a later phase of development? I guess???
Also if we don’t get a thallid race in Plane Shift Dominaria I will be incredibly sad.
Yes please put Raff and Slimefoot in the same room that would be perfect
Assent and slime curtains... huh.
Slimefoot has a different arm stalk for each person it meets. YES.
Yeah, it’s probably best to explain the fact that that thallids were used as a food source by elves way back when... it’s probably best to tell them later.
“Oh, hey, and it's had like ten babies already." "WHAT?" Tiana said.
These are my saprolings. There are others like them, but these are mine.
AND THEY WAVE BACK THEY’RE SO PRECIOUS
Well Raff isn’t wrong -- If that white light is Serra, she is fine with Slimefoot’s presence...
“Come with me my children! We’re going exploring!” -- Slimefoot, probably
Arvad spoke to Slimefoot: "Thallids, this is Liliana." Slimefoot waved a greeting at her, and prompted all the sprouts to do the same.
THEY’RE SO PRECIOUS I’M GONNA DIE
The fact that they don’t have eyes and can still stare at people means they’re incredibly talented.
Liliana you’re being an awful b*tch right now. Here’s someone tagging along to help you defeat Belzenlok and you’re questioning them?
AND YOU’RE MAKING SLIMEFOOT STARE AT THEM UNCOMFORTABLY YOU HAG!
Tiana had folded her arms, watching with a speculative expression. Now she said, "You're asking him how he resisted the urge to be selfish."
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOT DAMN! Now we know where Tiana gets her red from! You do not mess with her boyfriend!
And yes, this is obviously in the running for “Best Owns and Burns” Award!
Liliana’s trying to find other tricks to staying in control of the Chain veil.
Hang on, did Liliana just realize that Tiana’s an angel? What, did she think she was the lovechild of an aven and a human?
Aft is towards the rear of a ship.
Ah, so the elemental seed helped Slimefoot gain knowledge.
Gideon: “I must help Liliana defeat Belzenlok so she becomes strong enough to kill Nicol Bolas.” Also Gideon: “I ain’t got time to deal with thallids.”
Slimefoot thought almost being killed by a shovel and having to use its still-soft stalks to flee for its life up to shelter in the ship's engine compartment might qualify as a tragic past...
SLIMEFOOT YOU PRECIOUS FUNGUS CHILD
Jhoira adjusted her eyepiece. "You know, Raff, you don't have a tragic past either." "That's because he barely has a past," Shanna said.
Oof! Nearly on level with the burns Liliana recieved, but nevertheless also being nominated for “Best Owns and Burns” Award!
Okay the followup makes this on-par with the burns Liliana got -- because Jhoira saw the Tolarian Academy explode and got stuck in a time rift! This was a drawn-out burn!
Slimefoot wasn't sure how to express its appreciation, so it handed her another tool.
YOU’RE SO PRECIOUS--
Slimefoot thought it was a terrible idea.
I’m gonna screencap this line and save it for whenever someone does something obviously stupid and asks for an opinion.
We better get art of Raff babysitting the thallids!
They’ve only just met but Karn is being a better parent to Slimefoot than Urza ever was to him.
Also Chandra and Jaya are still yelling at each other.
I think that pulse was PTSD, considering what the Weatherlight experienced with OG Phyrexia.
I’ve never watched Karate Kid, but I think it’s something like this interaction between Jaya and Chandra.
"It was the first indication I'd ever seen that you were capable of concentrating on something for any length of time." -- JAYA “I STILL DON’T NEED PYROMANCY TO BURN YOU INTO THE F*CKING GROUND” BALLARD!!!!!
Nominated for “Best Owns and Burns award!”
"Hey, I wasn't that bad. I kind of know what I want. Sort of, sometimes." -- Chandra Nalaar
Nominated for “Pathetic Planeswalker Explanations” Award!
Also we know excatly what you want. Nissa
Ooh, they’re approaching Urborg...!
“Come children, let’s be safe with Serra’s light.” -- Slimefoot, definitely.
We get Slimefoot in the story and it’s all we could’ve asked for and more! Slimefoot! Don’t whack Slimefoot! Borgardan! Climbing! White stars! Slimefoot! Thran! Arvad’s cooking! Slimefoot! Karn! Jodah-Jhoira-Jaya! Almost infinite! Smells! Waving! More waving! Slimefoot babies! Following! Liliana being a b*tch and getting properly burned! Gideon ain’t got time to deal with thallids! Slimefoot handing tools! The epic tragedy of the burnt honey bread on Solstice morning! Time Rifts! Terrible ideas! Raff babysitting thallids! Good dad Karn! Phyrexia! Jaya! Chandra! Burns! Elf booty! Urborg!
But will Chandra admit her feelings about Nissa? Can Teferi za warudo the Stronghold’s defenses to get them through? Will the thallids behave themselves? What weapon was Gideon sharpening? How many more burns is Liliana gonna recieve before the story’s done?
AND WILL WE GET MORE SLIMEFOOT IN THE NEXT STORY?????????
Stay Tuned!

For fifteen centuries, Jaya wielded the same incredible power as other planeswalkers of her era, but it was not to last. Following the Mending Jaya is now “merely” human. The planeswalker Chandra Nalaar trained at Keral Keep, a pyromantic monastery founded by Jaya herself on the plane of Regatha. Chandra has arrived on Dominaria with Jaya’s trademark goggles in-hand, hoping to learn from the ultimate master of pyromancy, only to discovery her long time mentor Mother Luti from Regatha was in fact the planeswalker Jaya.

Teferi would have fired Lilianna years ago but she has a talent for breathing new life into seemingly dead projects. Besides, she makes a convenient patsy for his pranks.
Liliana is honestly a very good worker for all the bullshit she gets up to, and had indeed saved sinking ships of projects and saved the company thousands of dollars. She’s also the person he usually sends to meet with investors or new clients because Liliana is kind of an asshole when she knew you well enough, but she will put on the charm for complete strangers, especially when getting their business means she’ll be getting a bonus.

Ethiopian Prince Praises Ethiopia-Armenia Relations at Armenian Assembly Annual Holiday Reception
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Armenian Assembly of America (Assembly) and its Capital Region Council hosted its Annual Holiday Reception this month, with special guest His Imperial Highness Prince Ermias Sahle-Selassie of Ethiopia. Prince Ermias spoke highly of the bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Armenia that dates back centuries.
"At this point, it is both important and gratifying to know our two people - Ethiopia and Armenia - have been colleagues longer than most of the nations on this planet. Indeed, the Imperial Family has taken note of the active trade and civil relationships between Ethiopians and Armenians, extending back to the 3rd Century A.D. Moreover, Armenians and Ethiopians share a rich and historic connection as members of the same branch of Orthodox Christianity, as well as perhaps lesser known stories of the invaluable Armenian contributions to Ethiopian history," Prince Ermias said.
Prince Ermias, President of the Crown Council of Ethiopia, recalled the story of his grandfather, Emperor Haile Selassie I, and his encounters with Armenians. In 1924, when the Emperor was visiting Jerusalem, he came across a marching band of forty Armenian youngsters. When he asked who they were, he was told that they were all orphans who had escaped Ottoman Turkey during the Armenian Genocide. After listening to the band play, the Emperor was "struck by the band's musical talent." Thereupon the Emperor asked for permission from the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem to adopt and bring the musicians to Ethiopia.
The Armenian musicians were then known as the "Arba Lijoch," which means forty children in Amharic, and were trained in Ethiopia by musical director Kevork Nalbandian. Nalbandian was an Armenian Genocide survivor, originally from Aintab in the southeastern region of the Ottoman Turkish Empire. The Armenian musicians came to form the Royal Imperial Brass Band, beginning a tradition in modern Ethiopian music of heavily using brass instruments. Amazed by their progress and skill, Emperor Selassie asked Nalbandian to compose a national anthem for Ethiopia. On November 2, 1930, the Emperor's coronation day, the Arba Lijoch unveiled the Imperial National Anthem, Marsh Teferi, which was Ethiopia's official anthem from 1930 to 1974. Prince Ermias told the audience that these Armenians became known as the "forerunners in the modernization of mainstream music in Ethiopia."
Assembly Board Member Annie Totah expressed her gratitude to Prince Ermias, her personal friend, for his kind words about the Armenians. "We thank you so very much for joining and educating us about the situation in Africa, and thank you for having presented to us the history about Armenians in Ethiopia. Emperor Haile Selassie welcomed us - the Armenians - and we have an ideal, mutually beneficial and fantastic relationship between both countries," Totah said.
Over 100 guests attended the Holiday Reception, including Armenian Ambassador to the United States His Excellency Grigor Hovhannissian with his wife Victoria and Artsakh Permanent Representative to the U.S. Robert Avetisyan with his wife Elvina.
In his remarks, Ambassador Hovhannissian noted that Ethiopia has a special place in the hearts of Armenians. He also recognized the Assembly's advocacy work, as well as the grassroots activism and dedication of its members.
"We are very mindful and cognizant of the tremendous effort that the Armenian Assembly of America has been making towards the development of Armenia and towards building and strengthening relations with the United States," Ambassador Hovhannissian stated. "You have many, many dedicated members, and Armenia is blessed to have them among its most committed friends," he added.
Assembly Executive Director Bryan Ardouny briefed the audience on the Assembly's accomplishments this past year and explained the challenges ahead. He emphasized the continued efforts to increase membership in the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, which is currently at 113, as well as urging Members to withdraw from the Turkish and Azeri Caucuses. Both Ardouny and Totah encouraged the audience to contact their Representatives and educate them on the importance of strengthening U.S.-Armenia and U.S.-Artsakh relations.
Following the speeches, Dr. Naira Babayan, a member of the Armenian Assembly, performed an Armenian musical selection, including Krunk (Stork) by Komitas, Six Dances by Komitas, and Dance of Sasun by A. Arutiunian.
"We would like to especially thank Assembly Capital Region Council Co-Chairs Clara Andonian and Doris George with Host Committee Members Naira Babayan, Nadya Carson, Natalie George, Anahid Ghazarian, Takuhi Hallajian, Anahid Nishanian, and Marguerite Satian for donating and hosting the reception, as well as our volunteers Kyra Chamberlain and Nicole Merullo, who are currently with George Washington University's Armenian Student Association," Totah added.

Magic: the Gathering - Teferi from Zhalfir
• Teferi's Protection, Art by Chase Stone • Teferi, Temporal Archmage, Art by Tyler Jacobsen • Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, Art by D. Alexander Gregory & Jeremy Jarvis
Trapped in a timey-wimey bubble . . .
A brilliant temporal archmage who has sacrificed his spark. Since his youth on the plane of Dominaria, Teferi has been recognized as one of the plane's greatest mages. His talents earned him a place at the prestigious Tolarian Academy as the protégé of the Planeswalker Urza and the friend of the silver golem Karn. Here Teferi developed a fascination with the subject of time, and over years of study became adept in its manipulation. Armed with this ability, Teferi rose to defend Dominaria from Phyrexian invaders. Rather than see his homeland of Zhalfir and his friend Jhoira's homeland of Shiv laid waste by the invasion, he phased them out of the time stream. They remained out of time, safe and untouched. Years later, when a network of time rifts threatened to destroy Dominaria and planes beyond, he gave up his Planeswalker spark to seal the rifts, precipitating the Multiverse-altering event known as the Mending. He was unable to return Zhalfir to the time stream, however—a failure that would come to haunt him.

Arcane Laboratory by Stephen Daniele
Flavor Friday: An Abridged Magic Story History #19
The Tolarian Academy (Dominaria)
Following the defeat of Gix, Urza recruits the talented wizard Barrin to aid him in opening a school, recruiting only children (which the Phyrexians can’t replicate with their sleepers). About 1,300 years ago They recruit prized students Jhoira and Teferi for the Tolarian Academy. Urza uses Xantcha’s heartstone to create Karn, a silver golem designed to work as a probe for his time machine. When Jhoira, Karn’s only friend, is killed in a Phyrexian attack, Karn goes back in time to try and save her, destroying the machine and unleashing a cataclysm on the island. Karn saves a number of students, but Urza planeswalks as many as he can to safety. Jhoira and Teferi are not among those saved. (Time Streams)

After becoming the regent and de facto ruler of Ethiopia in 1916, Selassie began to gradually modernize Ethiopia, beginning with the capital, Addis Ababa. He started by having Ethiopia admitted to the League of Nations in 1923 and his diplomatic trips in the following years aimed to solidify stable connections outside of Ethiopia. The first of these diplomatic visits was in 1924, when Selassie went on a trip to Europe and the Middle East in the hopes of establishing allies in Europe. But it was in the heart of the Middle East — in Jerusalem — that Selassie would soon become acquainted with the 40 Armenian orphans who would ultimately become the forerunners in the modernization of mainstream music in Ethiopia.
As Selassie toured Jerusalem, he visited the Armenian Quarter and marveled at the St. James Armenian Apostolic Church (Surb Hakobyants Vank.’) Selassie himself was a devout member of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and he noted the striking similarities between the two churches, as well as the likeness in written script.
More significantly, however, it was on this day, as he was walking through the Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem, that Selassie observed a marching band composed of 40 young Armenian men; he was deeply moved by the band’s musical talent. After concluding his tour of the Armenian Church and district, Selassie had a conversation with Patriarch Turyan and learned that these 40 talented young musicians were orphans of the Armenian Genocide. He also learned of the terrible financial strain that came with raising these orphans. In response, Selassie offered to adopt and bring the marching band back with him to Addis Ababa.
The 40 Armenian orphans arrived to the capital on September 6, 1924, accompanied by Father Hovhannes Simonian, and officially became known as the Arba Lijoch (“forty children” in Amharic, the official language in Ethiopia.)
The Arba Lijoch formed the royal imperial brass band of Ethiopia and each of the children were allocated a monthly stipend, provided with housing and trained by their musical director, Kevork Nalbandian. Nalbandian was an Armenian orphan himself, originally from Aintab (modern-day Gaziantep) in the southeastern region of the Ottoman Turkish Empire. It was Nalbandian who led the Arba Lijoch with his musical compositions and Selassie was so impressed with the band’s compilations, he asked Nalbandian to compose the music for Ethiopia’s national anthem. In 1926, Nalbandian composed the Ethiopian Imperial National Anthem titled, “Teferi Marsh, Ethiopia Hoy,” which translates to “Ethiopia, be happy” and it was performed by the 40 orphans for the first time in public during Haile Selassie’s official crowning as Emperor on November 2, 1930 in Addis Ababa.
