I loved your latina reader fanfic's so much (especially since I rarely see any and I thank you soooo much)!! So I was wondering if you can write another Nanami fanfic with a latina reader in which she shows him to her family (when they are both attending Jujutsu high as teenagers?). Her mother is a bit skeptical, like all latina mothers are but loves Nanami!
Meeting Over Dinner // Teen!Nanami Kento x Latina! Fem!reader
Tumblr media

There comes a time that every person in a relationship fears—meeting your partner’s parents and having your partner meet your parents. Unfortunately, you and Nanami had reached that point and you couldn’t avoid it any longer from your side.
It took a while before the two of you even became a couple due to how different your cultures were. Whereas his culture was pretty restrained and his reserved nature did not make his feelings easy to see, your culture was indulgent and it made you seem like a social butterfly, trying to strike up a conversation whenever you could rather than someone who had a huge crush on him. Neither of you noticed that glint in each other’s eyes that appeared every time you talked. Lucky for the two of you, Haibara did and decided to play matchmaker.
He saw the way Nanami would try to talk to you when all students hung out despite always keeping to himself in such outings and the way you would always offer your food to him first without fail. Most importantly, he saw the way you two always denied your feelings for the other with that same glint. It took a few sneaky moves and the help of his seniors, which was basically stopping Gojo from teasing the two of you when alone, but eventually, you and Nanami started dating.
But dating was a special topic in your family. One that you were constantly reminded of every time you had a family reunion.
After countless times of hearing your aunts asking you “¿y el novio?”, you were finally able to say you started seeing someone. Least to say, your family became curious the minute you revealed this information and not only started to ask you about him but also teased you. You would talk about your day and they would see how you smiled when you mentioned Nanami. They would tease you with squeals and knowing glances at how smitten you looked. You would tell them you were going out and suddenly you had a billion questions regarding your plans with your boyfriend. After a couple of months, they knew you were getting pretty serious about this boy, turning the teasing into nagging about when they would meet him.
Not wanting to prolong the inevitable, you invited Nanami to have dinner at your house, which brings us to this moment with you and Nanami walking to your house. You were quite surprised at how collected he seemed to be about this, which assured you that things would go smoothly since he has always been able to hold his own. However, on the inside, Nanami was freaking out. He wanted to make a good impression on your parents, especially your father. He really really liked you and knew he had to show your father that he was worthy of dating you.
“Listen, if at any point you feel uncomfortable, just tell me. I’ll keep you up with whatever they say in Spanish but don’t think too much if they speak it. They are just more comfortable speaking it.” You told him, a small crease on your forehead as you prepared him for his whole dinner.
Nanami sighs, looking at the door before him. Though he was nervous, it was more obvious how you kept repeating the same warnings that did nothing but grow those nerves of yours the more you went around in circles with your thoughts. He places a hand on your shoulder, giving you a small squeeze.
“I’ll do my best to show the best me, okay? You don’t need to worry about me embarrassing you.”
He was really sweet in trying to assure you. But to you, Nanami was not the one you were worried about. But you didn’t want to give him any more reasons to worry him now that the two of you were at the steps of your front door. Instead, you flash him a small smile, finding some comfort in his words from how he is trying to calm you down. It was sweet. “I know you won’t. Just don’t let their words get to you.”
You open the front door, making your way into your home and holding the door open for Nanami. Taking a deep breath and putting a smile on your face, you announce to your family that you’re home.
The two of you leave your stuff by the front door, making your way to the kitchen where both your mom and dad are busy preparing dinner. When they hear your voice, both of them turn to look at you with a smile on their faces, putting the utensils away and cleaning their hands before making their way to greet you with a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
Nanami watches your parents greeting you home with such warmth that it suddenly makes sense why you are so sweet and lively even during the worst days. Because you came home to such a caring atmosphere. It made him feel nervous, on the other hand, because he was not used to such greetings that seemed too touchy for his liking. He knows that it is one of the cultural differences you have faced in your relationship, but he hopes that your parents can understand that as well as you have.
Your father is the first to greet Nanami, instantly making him feel insecure under his gaze. But the feel of the moment changes quickly when your father smiles gently at Nanami and extends his arm.
“Ah, you must be Nanami, right? We’ve heard a lot about you, it’s really nice that we finally get to meet you.” Your dad beams, his friendliness making Nanami’s earlier expectations of your father completely wrong.
He thought your father would be looking at him with a harsh glare, one that would make him tense on the spot and feel inferior to him. But here he was, relaxing his shoulders as he reached out to your dad’s hand and bowing before him as he greeted him. Maybe your dad wouldn’t be as frightening as he once thought. Not when Nanami could hear the playful chuckle from your dad when he bowed, but he shook it off since he wanted to be respectful.
“I apologize for taking so long to meet you, sir. I should’ve introduced myself the moment I was interested in your daughter.” Nanami says as he straightens up, trying his best to ensure a good impression on your dad.
But once again, your dad laughs, throwing his head back, and lets go of Nanami’s hand. “Sir? No, no. No need to go so far, I do not deserve that much respect, young man.” Your dad said, shaking his hands in front of Nanami to assure him further.
No, your dad was not who Nanami should be worried about like he initially believed. It was the woman before the two of you looking up and down his figure with a polite smile but eyes that were sizing him up the moment he came in. Your mom.
The moment you saw how your mom was looking at Nanami, you could feel your heartbeat accelerate as you tried to make out her reaction to Nanami. You knew the way her eyebrow raised every time you talked about him, impatiently waiting for you to invite him. Your mom was not thrilled to learn you were dating someone who was not Latino, mainly because she wanted to be able to speak to your partner in the language she was most comfortable speaking. Your mom didn’t know much about Nanami other than he was a sorcerer in the same class as you. She was already skeptical of him and how good he would fit into the family.
It is not ideal at all from how her eyes go to his hair first and you mentally curse. Before she could say anything, you decide to beat her to it and speak first.
“Ama, this is Nanami. Nanami, this is my mom.” You say in a cheery tone, hoping that the way your eyes kept darting between each other didn’t give away how nervous you were as you try to make out their reactions to the other.
Nanami extends out his hand to your mom, wanting to greet her with respect. But your mom was surprised when she was already standing there with her arms open, expecting a hug. She looks down at Nanami’s hand, putting down her arms and shaking his hand with a less-than-pleased expression despite her smile.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, miss. Your daughter talks a lot about you, thank you for inviting me to your home.” He says, his tone sounding too serious for your mom’s liking.
The bow he does after it does not really help his case either, it makes your mom flash you a look that you interpret as a he does this every time? To which you responded with a tilt of your head and a be respectful, different cultures, remember? look.
She lets go of his hand, still sizing Nanami up and not looking too pleased about it. In her eyes, he was too formal. You knew it was going to happen considering how warm your mom usually is, but you thought she was going to think of it as a sign of respect. After flashing him a smile and clasping her hands together, she tells Nanami.
“Oh don’t mention it, we were excited to meet the boy that had this one so happy.” Her tone, though still warm, wasn’t the one you were used to. It sounded as if she was distracted trying to learn everything about Nanami from his appearance and greeting alone.
Your mom turns to look at you with that raised brow you know too well and asks you, “¿y este es emo o por qué el pelo le tapa la cara?"
“Do you need help setting up the table? I’m sure food’s almost ready since we took a while to get here” You say quickly as you clap your hands together, ignoring your mom’s comment by changing the topic into something that wouldn't involve her being judgemental towards your boyfriend.
Your mom’s eyebrows jump slightly at the conversation change and it does not go unnoticed by you at the way her demeanor is borderline critical of Nanami, practically disapproving of him without really knowing him. You know she was just getting used to seeing you date someone, but you wanted her to be a bit more considerate and kind to him.
Nanami, while oblivious to what your mother said in Spanish, catches the way you so suddenly offered to help with the table. He nods and looks back at your mom, offering his help as well. “Is there any way we can help? After all, it’s only right since you went through the trouble of cooking, miss.”
Your mom looks back at Nanami, looking satisfied-ish at his words despite his formality. She nods, telling them that dinner will be ready as soon as the table is.
As you and Nanami start setting up the table with the glasses and the utensils, you look at him with worried eyes. Your mom is cautious about him, yeah, she was also pretty stuck on the fact you were not dating anyone from your culture. You know she had no ill will. It's just that every person who would meet your parents for the first time would enter an interrogation with your mom. Since Nanami was not just any person and someone you were dating, you were worried she would be harsher on him, especially as someone outside your culture.
“Hey, so,” You started, putting down the forks and knives on each seat of the table, “my mom can be a lot in these meetings. Ask a lot, say a lot, go over the line and all. What I am saying is that you don’t have to answer her questions if they make you uncomfortable.”
Nanami looked at you from the other side of the table. Tonight was different from what he expected. He didn’t know it would be your mom who he had to look out for, nor that you were this worried for him. While it did make him feel more anxious, he walked towards you after setting down the last glass, shaking his head at your words.
“Your mom only wants the best for you.” He says nonchalantly, trying to hide said nerves even though that sigh that escapes his lips snitch on him. “I’m more than okay answering her questions if it means ensuring your parents know that I care about you.”
“I don’t want you to feel pressured to answer though.” You look at him, placing your hands on the chair and gripping it to calm yourself. you couldn't understand how he could look so collected despite the nerves he felt.
“They are not pressuring me. I’m telling you I want to answer those questions. I was the one who said yes to coming, remember?” Nanami says softly, taking one of your hands and entwining his fingers with yours, giving your hand a small squeeze as he hums. “I’m not only dating their daughter, but I am also someone from outside their culture. If I have to answer a million questions, then I will answer them because I don’t want to miss my chance with this amazing girl just because I didn’t say what my intentions with her are.”
Whatever you were feeling before was gone and replaced with tenderness in your heart. You smile at Nanami, squeezing his hand back as you turn to face him completely. “You think I am amazing?”
“Without a doubt, I definitely would answer a million questions for you, no matter how weird I find them.”
As you giggle at Nanami’s words, your mom is standing at the kitchen’s entryway as she hears the two of you talk. You had that glint in your eyes, both when warning him and when hearing his compliment. You always had that glint when you really liked something, like an ice cream flavor or a toy when you were younger. But it was different somehow, more affectionate and much more hopeful. It was as if all tension left your body and that glint just affirmed such. You looked just as smitten when looking at him than when you talked about him.
Not only that, but she also took the time to look at Nanami. When he came in, she thought he felt indifferent about being here. But when she heard that shaky sigh of his when he comforted you, your mom wasn’t seeing that overly formal kid that bowed before her when he came into her house. She was seeing someone who was putting you before him, that glint in his eye as he talked to you. Your mom was planning on measuring him up, to determine whether this boy was worthy of you and cared about you. But now she wasn’t sure if her questions were that necessary. She would still ask them, but now it was because she was curious rather than cautious of him.
How could she be so critical of him when he was holding your hand so carefully? Or how he seemed as if holding your hand erased all the nerves he felt at the moment? He was just a kid and he seemed to care and feel for you a lot. She couldn’t be disapproving of him now that she saw this.
Your mom returns to the kitchen and announces that the food is ready, serving the plates and bringing them to the table. Nanami quickly offered his help to help your mom bring the tables from the kitchen to the dining table, which your mom accepted with a smile. A genuine one, not a wary one. You noticed the change in her smile, walking to her as she sat down the first two plates. But before you could ask her about it, both your dad and Nanami came back to the table and everyone sat down.
Nanami looks down at the plate before him, recognizing the smell as similar to the food that you have offered him before from your lunch. Deciding that he couldn’t let his whole first impression be based on questions alone, he decided to take a chance and looked up at your mom. With a small smile in an attempt to be as warm as she was with you, he said.
“I’m very excited to try your food, miss.” He lightly tilted his head in your mom’s direction, taking a deep breath to keep his heart from beating any faster from his worry to look good. “Reader always brings very good food as their lunch and is kind enough to share it with me sometimes. I can only imagine it tastes better when just made.”
Your mom looks at Nanami, her fork in the air as she processes what she just heard from the young man. You look at your mom and then at Nanami, whose smile starts to falter as if he feared he said something wrong or as if his comment was too much of a step for your mom. But he quickly relaxes when your mom gently laughs in delight.
“I didn’t know you had tried my food before.” She explains, placing a hand on her chest.
“Well, Reader has tried to show me more of their culture so I could learn about it before we started dating. Yet, food has always been something I enjoyed and they have shared with me the basic dishes. I have tried to follow a few recipes but I am afraid they are never as good as the lunches you prepare for them.”
It was as if a switch flipped in your mom’s brain regarding Nanami, smiling so brightly at the compliment. She put down the fork, making you and your father exchange glances at how quickly she dropped her guard at Nanami. Though the compliment certainly goes a long way, the little moment between you and Nanami from earlier was now warming her heart much more now that she knows he has tried to learn about your culture. Maybe as long as there was that dedication for her daughter, then Nanami could fit in just fine.
“I didn’t know you cooked, let alone that you have tried to cook something from our culture.” Your mom beams, her gaze softening despite her excitement as the tension leaves Nanami’s body with this new attitude. After all, he didn’t feel like he was being interrogated in the way you feared.
Dinner goes smoothly. Your mom asks the essential questions to know more about Nanami and how your relationship with him has been going so far, your dad shares embarrassing stories of you that you would’ve rather keep until after a year of dating Nanami for him to hear, and your mom offering her help to Nanami so he could get those last touches when cooking. But one constant was how hard you were smiling, you didn’t expect things to go this well. Yet, you weren’t one to complain.
Once Nanami is at the front door picking up his stuff and getting ready to head out, your mom walks up to you two and turns to Nanami.
“Thank you again for coming, Nanami. Please do come more, next time I’ll make sure to write a few of my own recipes. Maybe even come earlier so I can teach you how to make them.”
“Of course, miss. Everything was delicious and I am glad I have finally met you. I’ll make sure to keep your offer in mind for next time.” Nanami says, feeling quite sheepish at your mom’s excitement.
“Well, it’s getting late and you should probably get going. Be safe.” Your mom says, reaching out for his hand and shaking it once more.
Nanami nods and you offer to walk with him to the train station. Though before you can go, your mom gets close to you and asks you to invite him more often since she could definitely use more hands in the kitchen.
You sigh at your mom but nod nonetheless before you close the door and start walking to the station with Nanami, hand-in-hand. As you talk about tonight’s dinner, you two agree that Nanami meeting your parents was much easier than you both expected at first. After all, your mom was already nagging you to invite him next Thursday.

requested! -> high school nanami please! the reader gets everything she wants from kento 🤷‍♀️
a/n -> slowly trying to work through all the requests yall have sent me ':)
pairing -> teen!nanami kento x f!reader
shoko.
"kento-kun~!"
the words on the tip of nanami's tongue are left unsaid as his entire body freezes, a involuntary flush coating his cheeks as the sweet sound of you calling his name floods his senses.
shoko who's stood in front of him raises a brow at nanami's reaction, the stunned look on the younger boys face not one she's seen before. her underclassmen is normally so composed that it was hard to get a reaction out of him ever, and yet a simple call of his name from your lips seems to have the boy starstruck.
you bound up to him, all bright smiles and twinkling eyes, slightly breathless as you all but ran to make your way over to your classmate. shoko notices the faint pink dusted across your cheeks as well and her interest is further piqued as she watches you smile all prettily up at nanami, peering at him through your lashes as you tuck a strand of hair behind your ear.
"kento-kun," you call again, voice softer but just as sweet now that you've reached him. "are you free right now?"
coughing slightly, shoko notices nanami glances at her out of the corner of his eye, not liking the mischief dancing in her gaze before turning to face you fully. he tries to put off the impression he's annoyed but his gaze remains softened when glancing down at you and the warmth in his gaze is more than obvious to his upperclassman.
"yes." he hums, hand moving to shove in his pocket. "what is it?"
shoko watches as you positively beam, clearly ecstatic at the fact that he was free, hands coming up to clasp in front of you. "would you like to go to this cafe with me?" you ask, head tilted, before reaching for your phone, flipping it open to show off a photo of said new cafe. "yu and i saw it yesterday on our way home from our mission and i think you'd really like it."
the mention of haibara has shoko smirking, clearly noticing the shift in nanami's posture at the mention of his other classmate. something changes in his gaze and shoko has to bite her lips from laughing out loud.
"did you..." and nanami hesitates, looking wildly uncomfortable as he glances at his feet. "did you and haibara go there together yesterday?"
oh, shoko thinks, this was just too good.
nanami? jealous? gojo was going to have a field day with this.
"oh," you blink, momentarily confused before shaking your head. "no. i wanted to go there with you first!"
although he tries to hide it, the pleasure of your words is clear on nanami's face as his entire body eases, no longer tensed as the edges of lips curl upwards just faintly.
shoko snorts.
"okay." he complies, as if the answer would ever be any different. "we can go."
you let out a squeal of excitement, and if it was anyone else, shoko is sure nanami would wince. instead, he watches on with a fond look in his eyes as you start rambling on about how excited you were and what treats you wanted to try all whilst nanami nods, actively listening while letting you lead the conversation.
you wave bye to shoko as you and nanami make your way off the schoolgrounds, and just as you and nanami turn out of view, she sees him shuffle towards you, arms brushing together. she grins when she sees you glance up at him, still beaming, wrapping your hands around his arm and leaning against him, and nanami lets you.
all without complaint.
without hesitation, shoko turns, eyes peeled for a certain white-haired, blind-fold wearing classmate that would love to hear about what she just witnessed.
gojo.
"y/l/n~!"
gojo grins as you turn from your spot at the table to face him, a smile curling on your lips as you wave at your senpai, beckoning him over.
"gojo-senpai," you greet as he reaches the table, "what brings you here?"
gojo smirks as he glances to your left where nanami sits, the two of you having been working on some homework together and registers the rather nasty glare his underclassman was sending him. nanami didn't like him at the best of times, it was true, but there seemed to be an extra edge to his glare that day as gojo took a seat across from you.
"oh, i saw my precious kohai's and i thought i'd come by to say hi," gojo explains with a shrug, playing it off as nonchalant. he feels nanami's gaze narrow at him, obviously expecting there to be more to the story than gojo is letting off.
which is true, of course, but gojo certainly wasn't going to admit to that.
"oh!" you beam, "well, kento-kun was just helping me with my homework." cheeks flushing, you shift in your spot, embarrassed. "i'm not very bright sometimes when it comes to the academic stuff."
"that's not true," nanami cuts in otherwise almost instantly and gojo smirks. "you just need extra time. there's nothing wrong with that."
your cheeks are practically burning at nanami's words, turning to look at your classmate with a doe-eyed expression.
gojo internally laughs. shoko was definitely right.
"hey, y/l/n," gojo calls, pulling your eyes on him as you blink, somewhat dazed, over at him. "i could you help with this stuff, ya know? i am after all your senpai!"
your eyes widen at his offer, obviously not having expected it. gojo was nice enough and he had never been anything but kind with you; maybe a little cocky and he liked to tease, but still nice. he'd never offered to help you with anything school wise though, whether that be training or just homework.
"gojo-senpai, i—"
"that won't be necessary," nanami cuts in, voice sharp. you blink at him in surprise at his sudden change in tone but gojo, having expected it, simply tries to hold back the laugh threatening to burst past his lips.
nanami then turns to you. "don't trust a word this idiot says," he explains to you, and any normal day gojo might be mildly insulted. today though? he's just amused. "he's basically failing everything."
not true, but—
"o-oh," you stammer, eyes flickering nervously between nanami and gojo.
"now, if you'll excuse us," nanami turns back to gojo, glaring at him, "y/n and i need to actually do some work. we can't all just mess around like you."
gojo's eyes flicker to the way you grab onto the sleeve of his shirt, tugging as you mumble worriedly at him, afraid he was actually hurting gojo's feelings. gojo just continues to grin, moving to stand back up as he brushes your concern off.
"no worries, y/l/n," gojo assures, sending you a thumbs up. "have fun, you two. and still, y/l/n, the offer stands."
gojo's running off before nanami can send a slur of insults at him again.
geto.
this was ridiculous, geto realized.
but gojo had begged him and wouldn't shut up until he agreed. so, here he was, standing in front of you, his fingers working to brush a strand of hair behind your ear as you blushed up at him, frazzled and confused, smiling softly down at you as he waited for nanami to make his way down the hall.
he was fully prepared to make gojo suffer for forcing him to do this and the thought that he should've continued to deny, despite how annoying his best friend was, crosses his mind. because now he was not only being forced to do something embarrassing, but to mess around with his underclassmen.
unlike his best friend, geto thought he was a decent role model for the first years. haibara seemed to like him well enough, constantly asking for him to help him train and nanami didn't seem to hate him as much as he hated gojo. and you? you were sweet, too nice for your own good and even geto had to admit, you were rather pretty.
so this? flirting with you when he truly meant nothing by it other than to make nanami jealous? felt incredibly wrong.
"ge-geto-senpai—"
"please, call me suguru," he smiles, internally cringing at himself.
yeah, he was definitely going to make gojo pay for this.
your cheeks burn brighter, "oh, well, i don't—"
"y/n?"
you startle at the sound of nanami's voice, back straightening as you quickly pull yourself out of geto's grasp. geto lets his hands fall by his sides with ease, taking a step back as you rush over to nanami, eyes wide with your hands held out before you desperately.
"kento-kun, what... what are you doing here?"
nanami's eyes flicker to geto, and to his credit, geto tries to offer a small smile in greeting, before he focuses back on you. "looking for you. we were supposed to study together, remember? you were the one who asked in first place."
"oh!" you blink, eyes widening. "yes, sorry, kento-ken. i... we can go now." you send a flustered look back at geto and nanami's eyes narrow, shuffling uncomfortably on the spot.
nanami looks like he wants to argue otherwise, sending a glare at geto that has him wincing (there goes his reputation with the first year). but your hand slipping into his is enough to satiate him, tugging him along with you.
"b-bye, geto-senpai!" you offer faintly to geto, waving at him over your shoulder before grinning brightly up at nanami.
well, it was clear gojo and shoko were right about the two of you but he definitely needed to have a conversation with his friends about not meddling in the first years personal lives.
geto, however, did let a smile curl on his lips when he noticed you'd been very specific about referring to him by his last name, despite his previous words. or the way you'd made sure nanami had heard you refer to him as such.
ah, young love.
haibara.
"are you and y/n dating?"
nanami nearly spits out the water he'd been drinking, feeling the burn of it as some of comes up his nose. he coughs, lowering the water bottle to the table as he tries to gather his bearings. blinking, nanami presses a hand to his chest, before turning to look at haibara with a look of disbelief.
"what?"
haibara, to his credit, looks genuinely confused.
"are you not?" he asks, head tilting. "i just assumed you guys were."
"what—why would you assume that?"
haibara doesn't fail to notice how red his friends cheeks have gotten.
"well, you're always helping her with homework and studying together," he starts off, raising his hand to list off just the few scenarious he's witnessed in the past week alone. "when i ask you for help, you tell me to figure it out myself. and! oh! you guys went to that cafe together the other day and when i asked to stop off somewhere, after a mission not to mention, you told me to go by myself so—"
nanami splutters for a response.
"not to mention," haibara adds, pressing a finger to his chin in thought. "gojo-senpai and shoko-senpai told me you were so—"
"they what?!"
haibara blinks, surprised and confused by nanami's outburst. "yeah? the other day." he hums, nodding. "i went to join you and y/n outside and they pulled me aside, telling me i should leave you two to your date alone... is that not what they meant?"
haibara tilts his head, only then noticing how nanami looks like he's practically about to combust on the spot.
"nanami...?"
pushing himself to a stand, nanami doesn't say anything before he promptly turns and leaves.
stunned and confused, haibara blinks.
"what did i say?"
nanami.
"i need to talk to you."
"oh, kento-kun! what's up?"
truthfully, nanami probably should've taken a moment to think through just exactly what he meant to say to you before all but barging into your room.
he'd been so frazzled and embarrassed that he hadn't really been thinking straight, his feet walking for him until he found himself outside your dorm room. he hadn't even knocked before opening it and oh god, the realization that you could've been... changing crosses his mind as nanami feels himself grow hot from embarrassment.
"kento-kun?" you call out, concerned, as you stand up from your bed. "are you okay?"
he blinks and suddenly you're in front of him. he hadn't even realized you'd been making your way over to him until that moment!
heart pounding, still breathless, nanami meets your gaze, letting his eyes wander across you. before he can stop himself, his eyes lower to your lips, almost involuntarily, and then, with a split second though, he's leaning forward and pressing his lips against your own.
you freeze at the action, body stilling and nanami panics, moving to pull away, but then a second later you're easing into his touch, returning to kiss as your hands move to grip the front of his school uniform. you tug him towards you, holding him in place and nanami practically melts at the spot.
a moment later you pull away, cheeks rosy and breathless, grinning up at nanami.
"i've been waiting for you to do that forever," you confess, breathless.
and nanami's never felt like more of a fool then he does in that moment for waiting so damn long.
yaga.
wordlessly, shoko and gojo stretch their hands out towards their teacher, grinning ear to ear, palms up. geto stands behind them, shaking his head.
"you two are ridiculous." yaga grumbles, "you meddled."
shoko just shrugs; "never said we couldn't meddle."
"besides," gojo snorts. "if anything we helped. who knows how long it would've taken nanami to say something. have you met the boy?"
yaga just rolls his eyes, reaching into his pocket for his wallet.

nanami kento x reader
content : angst (mutual pining but the two of you are idiots), 2006/2007 jjk when kento and reader are both students, open ending (possible part 2)
Tumblr media
You and Nanami were just friends. That's all you were. Nanami in front of Gojo, Geto and Shoko. Kento in the private of either your room or his or those fleeting moments in the common room where it was just the two of you and a conversation of whose room would be empty that night.
You just shared music tastes, that's all. Nights sprawled out on the bed a good distance apart so that his earbuds could stay in each of your ears– yours and Kento’s, one bud each– that was it. You'd fall asleep next to each other. Sometimes on accident. Waking up just early enough to catch his peaceful face, bangs pinned between the side of his head and the mattress, sure to be crimped in an awkward position off his scalp to which you'd never been able to hold in your laugh. But it was okay because as soon as the both of you had risen into a sitting position and the pink morning light seeped in through the blinds you’d see the shadows of his dimples and a teasing remark left his lips that your hair was in a similar god awful state.
Not much changed between the two of you when Haibara died. Except the feeling of your heart hiding deeper into your chest as you slipped out of Kento’s room bright and early, missing the way it thudded harder against your ribcage on those rare mornings you caught Haibara’s gaze as he stepped out of his own room.
You hadn’t known that Kento got an earful of teasing from your senpai– his room sandwiched between Haibara’s and Geto’s and Gojo’s, either one or both of your seniors catching a glimpse of your back as you fled the boy's wing– Kento feeling the need to clarify that you were just friends. He didn't want to give you the wrong impression.
You understood. You never got any ideas, in fact. Never let yourself that night you watched the sun set together, burnt orange warming his face as he panted in exhaustion, your chests heaving in sync, curse corpses dissolving into nothing around you. It was then as blood streaked down his face, eye squeezed shut to shield itself from the red, that he told you about the future he wanted.
He wanted to get married. He wanted a family. A cat to call Mittens because it looked like it was wearing a pair or a dog he didn't want on the bed, but knew he wouldn't be able to sleep without its presence radiating against the soles of his feet. Maybe even a fish in a tank that was one fish too big that would spit water at him every time he passed by. He wanted a house or maybe an apartment that was just enough so he could get there faster. To the future. Because he wanted all of it. After. Not in this life. Not when he had to wave his friends off before every mission not knowing if he would see them again.
You were just friends, that's what you told everyone. It was simpler that way. He'd answer your calls on your lonely walks home, as a friend. You’d burn CDs for him to listen to on his solo missions, as a friend. He knocked on your door the second you called to tell him the night was too heavy and when you heard about the failed mission you were already barreling through campus to get to him before you even heard about Haibara. As friends.
You made sure not to get the wires crossed, but you once joked that you saw each other more during the night than you did during the day and he told you that maybe it was because he needed the heat of the sun under the moonlight. Maybe you saw a sparkle a little too bright that night. You wouldn't dare call it love. Because you were just friends.
You wanted so badly to reach out to him, tell him to stay as you watched his figure diminish, his room empty, void of the memories that even hinted you could've been more, but of course you didn't. And maybe you could've taken the words out of his mouth when you walked in on him packing, his eyes pleading for you to do so, but you didn't.
Four years later he's in front of you. His hair short, form sturdier, sleek in a fitted suit and a gaudy tie you would've made fun of if your heart wasn't bursting with hope. For the first time out of all the others you wondered if you or him could get the wires crossed. If you were finally allowed to feel the heat under the daylight with him.

A/N : ahhhh stop idek the funk i'm in. first it was Last Call now it's this. I heard a sound on tiktok that was just so nostalgic I had to write this. and Kento's just a tragedy and tragedies should be written about and felt. It pains me that he wanted a spouse and a family but he wanted to wait until he could leave the sorcerer life. I promise I have a fic where I give him happiness. why is it just so much harder to write (it's a long one, that's why it's taking so long). anyway... for those of you who have left requests in my ask box I promise i'll get to them, it's just been a long time since I didn't have to put projects before the ideas that I want to write and i'm in a learning curve of [trying] to improve my writing style. please feel free to keep leaving requests! i'll be doing them in the order they were received <3

As the weeks go by, you and Kento find yourselves teetering on the edge of being in a relationship and still remaining casual. You really are falling so deeply in love with him, but you’re in denial. You try your best to remind yourself that this is just a college fling, but you wonder if maybe you could really be in a committed relationship with someone like him.
At night, you think of him. Even while in your bed alone, you cling to your pillow and wish he was here with you. In the last little bit, he’s been staying the night even though he’s not really supposed to be. You’ve dusted off your old Nintendo 64 for the two of you to play Ocarina of Time well into the wee hours of morning. If you’re not playing Legend of Zelda, you two are falling asleep to AVGN playing on your clunky laptop.
Kento has found a place in your heart, and you fear you won’t be able to let him go. You don’t want to consider him exclusive, but you are also not eager to share him with anyone else.
As the second semester comes to a close, you and Kento find yourselves invited to a party at a —---. He’s finding excuses not to go, but the minute you say you might want to go for just a bit, he sees the appeal in it.
“I think it could be fun,” you mention as you two have lunch together at your favorite cafe. “It’s a good way to unwind after exams.”
Kento nods and sips his coffee. “Yeah, I guess I never really saw it that way,”
“Will you come with me? I wouldn’t wanna go without you.”
This makes his heart flutter. Kento, on his end, has found himself completely head over heels for you. He’s gone through his denial phase a while back. He had tried his best to hide his feelings for you, but the more you two hung out, the more he found himself just hanging on to your every word. The more he would take an extra second to admire you.
And with every moment that passed between you two, he longed for the day that he could fully call you all his. He wanted to hold you in his arms, post-coitus and in that beautiful afterglow and to finally whisper those three words to you. For now though, it was just a singular fantasy. The one he imagines whenever he’s aroused and you’re not around to take care of him.
“Earth to Kento,” you wave your hand in his face.
“Yeah, sorry sorry…” he shrugs and tries to hide his blushing cheeks. “I’ll come with you if it means that much to you.”
You chuckle softly, reaching over the table to tuck a strand of hair behind his ear. Just that little touch sends shivers down his spine. He can’t quite look you in the eyes right now, and you love the way his cheeks and tops of his ears are tinged just a little pink.
“It’s tomorrow night around 9,” you mention. “I’d like for us to go together.”
The words play in his mind, even after he’s promised to come by your dorm to pick you up around 8:30. He wonders what you’ll wear. Kento’s mind is very active that night, while he lays in his bed. He holds his pillow close.
The thought of you wearing a cute dress with fishnet tights makes his heart flutter in his chest. You were that type of girl too. He sees what you wear when you’re not trying to dress business casual for class. It turns him on to see you in such alternative attire.
The next morning, you two meet up for breakfast before a short morning class. You notice how he’s in a much better mood than usual, and you wonder if maybe the promise of cutting loose for a bit is making him happy.
The night comes quickly and you’re in your dorm texting a few friends and listening to music as you get ready. You settled on a gray and black plaid skirt along with knee high red and black socks. Your shirt was a cut up Green Day shirt you had bought the last time you went to a concert. You finished up your makeup in the mirror plastered in polaroids and old pictures taken from music magazines.
There’s a knock on your door and you rush over to answer it. Your breath hitches in your throat when you see Kento standing there, a single red rose in his hands. He’s blushing as he thrusts it in your direction.
“For you.”
Your eyes widen and you smile sweetly. You gladly take it, bringing the rose up to your nose. It smells floral and lightly sweet. Then you take in the look of the man who stole your heart. Dressed in his signature black skinny jeans and ripped up Vans slip-ons, he looks so good. And you notice the new checker print hoodie he’s wearing with his thumbs poking out the holes in the sleeves.
“You look really good,” you comment. You invite him inside and he sits on your couch.
He stumbles with his words. He tells you that you look pretty, but he means you look beautiful. He wants to take you into his arms, kiss you softly and tell you not to go out tonight. You two could stay in and finally take your relationship to the next step.
“Thanks Ken! Do you want to head out now?” you ask him after touching up your makeup.
He nods. “Y-yeah. Let’s go.”
You take his hand and grab your purse before you two leave your dorm. The walk to the frat house wasn’t far, so you two had a little time alone to enjoy each other’s company. The night is so beautiful. The sun had just finished setting and the sky was getting darker. The stars would be shining soon. You felt like this was one of those nights you’d never forget.
The minute the two of you step into the frat house, you know that this party is going to be wild. Beer bottles litter the ground amongst a group of drunken college kids. You look around as you and Kento enter the house, moving around waves of bodies that are either getting drunk or dancing. You spot a group of girls in the kitchen and you notice a few of your friends within that group.
“Hey!” You wave at them. Your fingers still interlocked with Kento’s.
The girls giggle before your friends spot you and they wave you over. Kento feels nervous about this. He knows what others think of him. They all think of him as a loser, a loner and someone who doesn’t fit in. What makes him fall so deeply for you is that you see him for who he truly is.
“Hey girl, glad you made it!” One of the girls comments, her eyes darting towards Kento. “You too! Nice to see you out of class.”
Kento shrugs. “Is there a reason for us to meet like this?”
You bite your lip in an attempt to stifle your laugh. “Awh, be nice, you.”
Kento smirks when he notices how some of your friends are trying to hide their laughter too. Maybe he could truly be a part of your fold. He holds your hand a little tighter.
You two make it to the counter where a large stash of booze is displayed. Kento grabs the bottle of whiskey, pouring some into a red solo cup. He hands you one, and the two of you sip on your drinks. It’s nasty and strong, but you two long to get a little fucked up tonight.
Throughout the night, you two drink your fair share of booze. Kento keeps a tight hold on you, preventing you from stumbling over or ramming into anyone accidentally.
And finally, the moment comes when the two of you find a room that’s unoccupied. Your mind is a hazy mix of alcohol and lust for the man who’s been glued to your side this entire night. You kiss him first; it’s sloppy and hungry. Kento follows your lead, cupping your face.
The two of you make it to the bed, and you pull him on top of you. You giggle as he groans, then he kisses you again. His tongue feels a little tied, but he wants to tell you just how much fun he’s having.
“Such a good time when I’m with you,” he slurs between kisses. “I wanna…fuck I wanna show you just how much you mean to me.”
The minute you squeeze his hardened cock through his jeans, it seems to sober him up a little. He then realizes maybe he needs to cool off before he does anything else. Kento pulls away despite your protests.
“Just gonna get us water, ‘kay? Stay here, beautiful.”
When he steps out of the room, he’s wondering if he should even be leaving you in the room like that. You’re clearly drunk and anyone could enter. He decides to make it super quick. He goes into the kitchen, quickly swiping two bottles of water before making his way to the room again.
But before he can go inside, he hears girls giggling. Kento looks over his shoulder at the group of girls that you two had been talking to earlier.
“So,” the leader starts. “You’re the virgin, huh?”
The word sounds so nasty on her tongue. Kento knows you don’t care that he’s a virgin. You’ve been so patient and sweet with him this entire time. You’ve shown him the right way to explore each other. But the way she’s saying it now, it makes him feel ashamed of being a virgin at his age.
“You really think she likes you, huh? Come on, you’re just a pity fuck.”
The words cut him deeply. “Shut up, you don’t know her.”
The girl smirks, “And you think you do? Come on, get over yourself! She’s only using you as a pity fuck…or well not even cause you’re still a virgin.”
His blood boils and his heart is in his stomach now. He thinks back on all the things you two have been through together. Would you really do that to him? He thought that you two were really becoming close and things would progress really soon.
“See ya later, you fuckin’ virgin.”
With his stomach in knots and tears of frustration in his eyes, he enters the room. There you lay, on the bed. You look so fucking beautiful and he wants nothing more than to make you his. But now, he knows that maybe he’s been nothing but a joke to you this entire time. He gives you the bottle of water.
“I won’t be bothering you again.” He states. He hates that he’s doing this, but it was to protect himself. He watches as you slowly come to terms with the words coming out of his mouth.
Your heart flutters in a panic. You sit up, but you’re so dizzy. Kento wants to help you, but he’s hurting. He doesn’t want to let this continue if all you were doing was stringing him along.
“Just forget we ever met, okay? You and I are done. There wasn’t anything between us anyway. Just continue your perfect fucking life without me.”
You stare at him in disbelief. You swore that tonight would be the night that you two would finally go all the way. And if not, you were ready to tell him how much you loved him. You feel tears stinging your eyes.
“Kento…wait…” You cry out. He shakes his head and turns away from you.
But before you can continue, he storms out. It’s only a few minutes later that your friends come in, sitting with you and consoling you as best as they can.
Kento walks home alone, his heart pounding and his mind racing with thoughts of regrets. He just messed up the greatest thing to ever happen to him.

Woah like imagine talking about having a family with teen kento ‼️ requesting anything on this plsplspls
a/n: i actually kinda really like this idea waowww !! i've been so slow with requests lately :') i'll get to them soon pinky promise. THANK YOU FOR THE REQUEST THOUGH !!! tags/warnings: obv teen pregnancy, slight angst, fluff, nanami is a sweetheart, established relationship (lmk if i forgot anything)
Teen Dad! Nanami, who at first wasn't too sure about this. He always tried to be safe with you, but I guess accidents happen. Nanami honestly thought it was a silly prank of yours at first, but when you showed him a picture of the positive pregnancy test, he lost his composure for a second.
Teen Dad! Nanami, who told you that he needed some time to think about it and really realize what's happening. Once the shock was over, he came running to you, telling you that he'd be more than happy to support you and be with you regardless of the situation. Telling you that he'll support both you and your kid to the best of his abilities.
Teen Dad! Nanami, who now would take on more missions to make some extra money to be able to support you through everything and also save up for the future. Since his plan was now to put a ring on your finger someday.
Teen Dad! Nanami, who often came home exhausted, pissed off that he had to work overtime and also that he had less time to spend with you. Regardless of that, he always made sure to get you whatever you craved, to massage you whenever your back hurt too much, and to help with chores around the house. Nanami would also take notes for both of you in class; education is important after all.
Teen Dad! Nanami, who tried to keep as calm as possible when your water broke (he was panicking on the inside). He read somewhere that panicking will only make the pregnant woman panic too. So he kept calm, calling an ambulance as he held you close, grabbing the little hospital bag you two packed together (he also read about that).
Teen Dad! Nanami, who tries his best to even support you during birth, holding your hand. Sadly, he couldn't really bring himself to watch it happen, only ever glancing over. Nanami hoped it was enough for you.
Teen Dad! Nanami, who becomes the best dad ever regardless of how young he is. He'd start taking on a bunch of chores and duties, just to let you rest.
Teen Dad! Nanami, who calls Shoko every day just to ask silly questions that should've been obvious. Shoko answers every question anyway, wanting to support you and him. Nanami always wrote everything down.
Teen Dad! Nanami, who supported your spending addiction when it came to buying toys and outfits for your little one. In the end, he couldn't deny just how adorable it looked in all of those outfits you buy.
Teen Dad! Nanami, who started looking for other jobs he could do after he graduated from high school. He knew he wouldn't be able to do Jujutsu sorcery forever.
Teen Dad! Nanami, who your little one always throws up on. It's like, as soon as he holds your little one, it just gets the urge to throw up. Gojo definitely makes fun of him for that (until he holds the little one and it also throws up on him, earning a teasing smile from Nanami).
Teen Dad! Nanami, who loves you just as much as before, not caring about any of the changes the baby or being pregnant made to your body. If you're insecure about it, he'll reassure you a lot.
Teen Dad! Nanami, who spoils you and your child as soon as he gets the chance to. When your baby grows up, he won't be able to say no to anything they ask for.

Drabble Challenge 2024 - Day 9 // Birthday
Papamin and kid!Yuji
He wanted today to be perfect. Yuji was so excited and there was no way Nanami was going to let him down.
"This is for me?" Yuji's wide eyes reflected candles atop a bright pink cake.
"Yeah, just for you." He smiled and nudged Yuji forward. "Go on, make a wish."
The kid wasn't great at whispering. "I wish to spend all my birthdays with Nanamin! And go to the movies!"
Kento was suddenly breathless, not just from blowing up a dozen balloons. He ruffled Yuji's hair and tried to swallow the lump in his throat. "That's a good one."

A/N: Some Teen!Nanami angst! IDK why but I've been wanting to write this for a while. Header and dividers all credited at the bottom. Rating: 13+, fluffy-ish Warnings: Sadness, angst, mentions of death and dying Pairing: Teen! Nanami x Reader Summary: Faced with a solo mission, reader finds themselves contemplating their life in the Jujutsu world Word Count: 2301 Nanami masterlist
Tumblr media
With trembling hands, you type out the text message. You’re aware it’s long, more like a letter but in that moment it felt like you would crumble if you didn’t get it all out into words.
‘Hey Kento. I hope college is going well. You sounded happy when we last spoke. I hope you’re having fun with your friends.
Upper management has assigned me a solo mission. They said it's because they are confident my abilities have reached a stage where I can handle myself and also take down the curse. I know it's because there are no other sorcerers available to accompany me.
Anyway, it's a big step, which is why I called earlier but I know that you’re busy, so I figured I’d text you instead. I leave tomorrow morning. I’m just packing all my gear right now.
And I’ll probably have dinner with my friends tonight and try not to think about the mission. You know how I get when I start overthinking. It’s probably not as big a deal as I’m making it out to be, right? Students take on solo missions all the time.
I have no reason to be scared, right? Management would never assign me to a solo mission they believed was out of my depth, right? I just keep thinking about what it’s like, not having anyone with me. I’ll have to be at my sharpest, so I’m hoping to get a good night’s sleep.
Call me if you can. Or if not today, then sometime tomorrow? I’ll probably be on the train most of the day but we can still talk. Let me know. I love you.’
You hit send and look at your half-packed bag. Each time you attempt to clear your mind, your thoughts threaten to eat you alive. You were terrified at the thought of this solo mission. When management had called you to brief you about it, you had waited for them to tell you who would be accompanying you. The dread that filled your stomach when they said you’d be going alone made you feel like you were carrying around a lead weight.
This year had been rough. It was the year that Nanami had graduated from Jujutsu High, his college acceptance all arranged, as he readied himself to leave behind the world of sorcery for good. You had attended his graduation, the doting girlfriend, tears in your eyes at how proud you were of him, but also because you knew this meant you wouldn’t see him around here anymore. No more midnight walks, or studying for exams, sneaking into each other’s dorms for little kisses and reassuring hugs. You had never thought his being one year your senior would matter until he had shown you his acceptance letter.
There was a sense of worry there too, because college meant he was going away from you, but he had held you so tightly, whispering this didn’t change anything. You were always going to be his girlfriend. He would make it work. He didn’t want anyone else. It had been a few months and the long distance was hard but it brought you more happiness than anything around here ever did.
You continued to pack, glancing at the clock, unable to shake the jittery feeling from your body. It felt like there were a million butterflies in your stomach, and your heart kept pounding even though you didn’t leave for the mission until tomorrow. The innocent morning sun shone through your dorm window, uncaring about the turmoil inside you. You keep glancing at your phone, hoping Nanami will reply, but the screen remains blank. Phantom vibration syndrome kicked in at one point where you could’ve sworn you heard your phone vibrate, picking it up eagerly to check, only to see nothing new on the screen. Your heart sinks with disappointment each time. You knew his schedule and that he was probably in class. He would call you when he could. He’s never not called or at least texted.
As you sit down on your bed, the overwhelming gravity of the situation hits you. You were going alone. There was no backup. If you messed up on this mission…you squeeze your eyes shut. It was one thing if you failed to exorcise the curse. That in some way brought you relief. If you didn’t exorcise it, management would simply express their disappointment and send someone else. But what if…what if…you didn’t exorcise it and the curse…
You gasp, shaking your head violently, trying to rid yourself of the thoughts of death. No, it couldn’t happen that way. You couldn’t die. What you would’ve given in that moment, to not be a sorceress, but to be a normal teenager! To go dress shopping, and enjoy prom, to start writing your own college applications. To know that your life wasn’t in danger and that you would live, live to spend another day with your friends, live to see Nanami again…
Before you knew it, tears filled your eyes, spilling onto your cheeks, and you hugged your pillow tightly for comfort. You remembered how you had cried when Nanami left for missions, out of contact for days, barely sleeping until he sent you a text that his mission was completed and that he was coming back. You remember him training you, always working on your self-defense, making sure your reflexes were honed and sharp. You remember that even when you were sent with a partner, it sometimes didn’t change a thing.
Haibara’s death still hung heavily over everyone, and you think back to Nanami’s expression when he returned from that mission, his eyes dark and solemn, regret lined heavily on his face. It was so unfair, that at the age of 16, he had to endure that. Haibara had been so kind to you as well, the best kind of senpai anyone could have asked for. Nanami never allowed himself to be emotional in front of anyone but had broken down in your arms in the privacy of his dorm room. Neither of you slept well for days after that, often jerking awake in the middle of the night, immediately texting the other for comfort.
You wondered if something happened to you, would Nanami break down the way he did for Haibara? Would it be equal? Would it be worse?
“Please reply,” you whisper, checking your phone again. Still nothing. Did he not care that you were being sent on a solo mission? Had he finally started to enjoy his life away from Jujutsu High that he wasn’t going to answer you anymore? Frustration fills you and you resist the urge to fling your phone across the room. You curl up into a ball and keep reminding yourself that he’d never play around with your feelings, that he was probably busy, and that he’d call you as soon as he could…
The day passes by in a haze. Still no word from Nanami. You try calling him again but it says he’s unreachable. It only alleviates your trepidation. Maybe he had forgotten you. College was a whole new world after all. You scream into your pillow, allowing self-pity to overtake you. No one understood. Your friends had advised you to break up with him before he broke up with you. That he would find someone else at college, that long-distance rarely ever worked out.
You fall asleep on your bed in a blur of confusion, unable to ruminate about your situation anymore.
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
Nanami is out of breath as he hurdles through the corridors of Jujutsu High. A few students look at him in surprise and recognition, waving their hands at him as he races past, ignoring their greetings of ‘Nanami senpai!’.
A solo mission…they had the nerve to send you on a solo mission…His breath had caught in his throat when he read your text, all other thoughts wiped blank. He’d immediately talked to his professors stating he had a family emergency and left hurriedly with nothing but his backpack.
It took two trains to get here, one of which had gotten delayed. He couldn’t not see you before this mission, a damned solo mission, without reassuring you, without holding you tight after so many months apart.
A left, a right, another left, then he halts in front of your dorm room and knocks softly. “Y/n?”
When you don’t open the door, he grips the handle, surprised to find it unlocked, and enters quietly. He sees you asleep on your bed, your bag set on the floor. A rush of relief and affection floods him as he sees you holding the little teddy bear he’d gifted you before leaving for college.
‘Hold him when you miss me, yeah?’ He had said to you. You had immediately named it Teddymin, and he was currently tucked under your cheek as you slept uneasily.
“Y/n,” Nanami says your name louder trying to rouse you, not wanting to scare you at seeing him in your dorm unexpectedly. You stir, then open bleary eyes. It was dark outside. Who was calling your name and why did it sound so familiar?
“Y/n.” Your eyes fly open and you quickly sit up, unable to believe it.
“Kento?” You whisper his name disbelievingly, feeling tears well up in your eyes again.
“I’m here.” He sits on the bed, drawing you close to him. You still can’t believe it. Were you dreaming? Was he really here? You grip his sleeve, hear his heartbeat, feel the warmth of his skin, and start crying unrestrainedly. All day, you had tried to keep it together, tried to convince your friends, convince yourself, that you had control over this. That you weren’t fazed about being assigned to a solo mission, that you were proud that management trusted you.
But Nanami’s presence breaks your composure, vulnerability showing through. “Why are you here?”
“Where else would I be?” he asks gently, patting your back. “I couldn’t focus in class, not after seeing your text. I’m sorry for not replying but I was basically catching trains all day to come see you.”
“You did that for me?” Your heart swells with love for him.
“Of course. I just couldn’t…leave you alone, knowing you’re going on this mission by yourself. I had to see you.”
Silence falls between you both, listening to each other breathe. You wipe away your tears and take a steadying breath. Nanami hesitates, then asks, “Y/n, are you sure this is what you want to do? You graduate this year. You can leave all this behind.”
His words root themselves deeply in your mind and you find yourself considering it. Would it be possible to escape this? This unending cycle of fear for your life? “I don’t know. Everyone I know, everyone we know, is part of this. Could I just leave it all behind?”
“You can if you want to,” Nanami insists. “It’s hard, but trust me, it’s peaceful. I don’t want anything happening to you y/n. I’d never be able to forgive myself if I don’t give my best effort to get you away from here.”
You know he means it, otherwise he wouldn’t have come all this way to see you. “You don’t have to make a decision now. We’ll talk about it after you get back from your mission.” He strokes your hair, reassuring you.
“I will come back right?” There. You had asked the question that had been festering inside you all day. Nanami freezes when he hears you and his embrace tightens even more.
“Of course you will. Why wouldn’t you?” He swallows, forcing himself to not think about any other answer to your question. After Haibara, he can’t take any more losses. He couldn’t lose you too. He’d break and probably never be made whole again.
“I’m going to talk to Gojo. This will be your first and last solo mission.”
You wanted to protest but secretly, you’re relieved. “Would it work?”
“I can try. It’s reckless to send you without a partner.” He pulls away to frame your face in between his hands, heart breaking as he sees your look of apprehension. “Don’t worry. You will get back safely. I know your ability. You are a talented sorceress.”
Hearing his vote of confidence somehow carried more weight than management’s. “I really needed to hear that,” you say in a shaky voice. He embraces you again, gripping you so tightly it hurts but you couldn’t bring yourself to tell him to stop.
“You’ll come back. We’ll dance together at your prom. You’ll graduate. And I’ll make sure you never have to face something like this alone again.” He says all the things he wishes for you, wishes for both of you because honestly, he can’t imagine a future without you anymore. The conviction with which he says his words fortify you, and you finally manage to pull yourself into a better headspace.
You wish he could accompany you on this mission, but understand that management could turn this into a cascade of litigation. He had disappointed a lot of people when he had left the school, and you couldn’t risk him using his abilities since he had forfeited his privilege to use them when he had surrendered his rank and title as a sorcerer.
He presses a chaste kiss on the top of your head. “I love you. Promise to come back safely to me.”
“I will. I promise.”
Nanami doesn’t sleep for the next few nights. Finally, after 4 days, he sees the text message from you.
I’m back.
It was only then that he allowed himself to break down and cry, not with grief like when Haibara died, but with relief that you had made it.

OMG HOPING YOU CAN WRITE ABOUT YOUNG NANAMI HAVING A GAME NIGHT WITH THE READER AND THE REST OF THE JUJUTSU TECH STUDENTS DURING HIS TIME 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Hoping? YOU BET I CAN. ASK AND. YOU. SHALL. RECIVE.
Teen Nanami winning cards.
NOT EDITEDDDDD and reblogs are welcomed.
Tumblr media
We knew during Nanamis time 🤧 he wasn't the 'overly joyful' type. But occasionally in his teen years he was happy.
"Nanamei sensei" Yuji said as he walked along side Nanami.
He didnt want to be called Sensei but he had long give up because of how frequent Yuji would just say it.
"Fushiguro, Nobora and I are going to play cards tonight and winner gets to pick their prize. But I kinda suck at cards Sensei, do you have any tips?" Yuji asked.
Cards? The last time Nanami played a card game was in his teens. He didn't remember the game but he sure remembered the night. The night where everyone was around the table staring at eachother intensly. You sat opposite to Nanami who was not so enthusiasticly playing. Everyone was here, itd be a shame if Nanami was so down like always. You kicked he's leg under the table making him glare at you.
You and Nanami have this thing where you'll read each others lips because obvious he didn't wasn't some one like Gojo listening in on your conversations. Not just that, it was a helpful skill to.
"If you win, I'll give you a kiss" you mouthed followed by a wink.
He got up and slammed his fist on the table. Everyone just stared aa Nanami's cheeks turned pink.
"NANAMI ARE YOU OKAY?? YOU LOOK REALLY HOT" Haibara said getting up in a panic. Poor should had never seen Nanami be embarrassed.
"My apologies" He said quietly before sitting back down. Well his motivation was up now but he didn't want to make it obvious. Well to late for that, because for weeks everyone had felt the chemistry between you to, Gojo even started bugging Nanami over it.
"I'll go get you a drink to cool down" Haibara said with concern
the game went on and Nanami was getting close to the win. But so was Gojo.
"Hey Y/N if I win this game can I get a kiss?" he asked smirking at Nanami. He sowre the vain in his head was about to explode.
"hmmm, I don't Satoru..."
"Fine, Winner gets a kiss?"
Nanami's eyes only narrowed at Gojo sending daggers at him
"I don't see why not" you said shrugging your shoulders.
Now he knew he had to win.
It only took 5 minutes for Gojo to lose, then geto, then you, then you, then Shoko.
Nanami did it. He was the last man standing.
"Guess you win" you said smiling at Nanami.
You walked and took Nanamis hand leading him out side the room and behind a corner where you steped up on your toes and gave him a quick peck. His face was even redder when he leaned down and kissed you properly this time.
As Haibara was walking back to the room he saw you and Nanami...
"NANAMIS A WOMANISERRRRRRRRR" Haibara burst into the room yelling hysterically with Nanami chasing him not to far behind.
"HE WAS KISSING-" he was immediately cut off by Nanami tackling him to the ground.
Gojo, Geto and Shoko were sitting at the table pulling 'surprised faces'.
"How scandalous Nanami!" Gojo gasped
"And at school too!" Geto followed
"NANAMI SENSEI YOUR FACE IS RED ARE YOU OKAY?" Yuji shouted.
"Yes. It's just. Itadori, if you want to win you need good motivation. Youu really have to go for the prize."
THANKS FOR READING ♡

Being an introverted and highly asocial person since the first years of childhood brings its consequences, and that's something Kento Nanami knows very well. In his short 17 years of life he hasn't even had anything close to a friend, but that's okay, the kids at his school are annoying and stupid anyway.
But the day you, the new student in the class just transferred from another high school, paid attention to him, oh honey, something awakened in him…
If you decide to ignore your classmates' jokes about getting close to Kento and decide to befriend the boy rejected by everyone thanks to his unfriendly way of being, Nanami won't walk away from you at any time. You are his first friend! How could he stay away from you? Besides, you treat him with the minimum decency a person deserves, that makes him feel special and loved for the first time.
For before Kento consciously realizes that she has fallen madly in love with you, he starts to, slowly but surely, become obsessed with you…
Tumblr media
Yandere Teen!Nanami who has started collecting things you touched or used. That napkin you used to wipe your smeared lipstick, the hair tie you use to tie your hair, a band aid, the gum you chewed, the straw you used to drink bubble tea....
Yandere Teen!Nanami who makes you company while going home just to find out where you live.
Yandere Teen!Nanami at night she will spy on you by watching you through your window while you walk around your room, change your clothes, do your homework and even when you decide to indulge your most lustful desires while alone.
Yandere Teen!Nanami will take any opportunity to touch you, be it your hair, hand, cheeks. Whether it's accidental or if you hug him.
Yandere Teen!Nanami who likes your scent and will offer to wear your jacket when you are tired, just so that when you don't see him he can smell it. He also gently approaches you to fill his nostrils with the scent of your perfume from your neck or the shampoo in your hair.
Yandere Teen!Nanami who likes to spend time with you, secretly recording your voice and editing it later only to hear you say his name.
Yandere Teen!Nanami takes pictures of you from every angle, even your panties, and has all his bedroom with the walls full of photos of you like wallpaper.
Yandere Teen!Nanami who keeps videos of you in his laptop and watches them when he's alone. He specifically uses the most suggestive ones to play with himself.
Yandere Teen!Nanami who feels sickeningly upset when you talk with your other classmates. Why spend time with people who have made his life hell? What if they put ideas in your head about him? What if you start to pull away? Kento doesn't want to lose you.
Yandere Teen!Nanami could start trying to isolate you when he feels that you're getting away from him, although that's only something that he feels.
Yandere Teen!Nanami will go crazy if he confesses to you and you reject him. No matter if you think about him as a friend, or as a brother, or as a classmate. Kento will go crazy to the point of hurting you and hurting himself.
On the other hand, if you decide to accept him and you start dating… Well, you better be ready.
Yandere Teen!Nanami as your boyfriend will be very clingy and touch starved. He will touch you more than before and won't even ask for permission, after all, he's your boyfriend.
Yandere Teen!Nanami is gonna try to convince you to live with him and you better accept it, for your own good.
At this point you're probably starting to realize that he's getting weird with you. — "Don't be silly, I'm just trying my best to be a good boyfriend for you".
Yandere Teen!Nanami will expose you to graphic gore content (videos, photos, books, mangas) just to make you like that content as much as he does.
Yandere Teen!Nanami is starting to lose his sanity, all because you are getting along too well with your friend.
Yandere Teen!Nanami who feels sick and desperate when he notices that you're spending more time with your friend than him. He knows that you're starting to get away from him.
— "I just… I don't know, it doesn't feel right anymore. I kinda want to break up with him now". You were talking to your friend and Kento overheard the conversation. Are you really considering breaking up with him?
Yandere Teen!Nanami will spend whole nights crying and panicking all because of what you said to your friend. His first and only love is trying to leave him, like everyone does.
Yandere Teen!Nanami who had enough and can't bear the fact that you want to leave him, to abandon him. Kento simply doesn't want to be alone anymore, it hurts, it really hurts him.
Yandere Teen!Nanami will invite you to a date to fix all the problems in your relationship. Of course, you accept thinking that he realized how wrong he was the whole time.
Tumblr media
Kento takes you for a walk around Tokyo, treating him like his savior. You have ice cream together, hold hands, laugh together and even kiss.
He tells you that he has a surprise for you. — "Could you like to see it?". Are you really going to refuse now that your boyfriend seems to be changing for the better? Absolutely no.
Your boyfriend takes you to a neighborhood near the outskirts of the city, he takes you to a house, a nice house. — "A neighbor of mine asked me to take care of his house while he's abroad". He takes you inside. The house is a bit empty for being the house of a neighbor of his. You start feeling unwell.
Holding you from behind to start kissing you. — "Kento… Can we just leave? I wanna go back home…". Oh dear, how do I tell you this?
You're doomed.
He takes a rope and wraps it around your neck to keep you still. — "Darling… please. I don't want you to leave…".
He turns you around to kiss you but you start to push him away. Who might believe that your boyfriend would be able to do something like this. You can feel your heartbeat beating faster as your anxiety starts rising up, this must be a joke, right? Unfortunately no.
He tighten the grip of the rope on your neck, depriving you from breathing. — "You don't get it… You don't. You're my world, I can't be happy if I see you flirting and laughing with others". You can tell the pain and rage in his voice as he talks to you, holding you tighter, taking all possibility from you to escape. — "You're mine, darling".
No matter how much you fight or beg, he wants to keep you there, captivating. This could be easy for you, this could have been so easy but you decided to condemn yourself by simply saying: — "I hate you…" You… hate him?
He opens his eyes wide, he can't believe what you said… But surprisingly he looks pretty chill… suspiciously chill.
He stays in silence, thinking about what you said and all that he has done. — "... It's okay, darling". He smiles at you, gently and calmly as he holds your face with one of his hands. He drops the rope and caresses your neck and the marks the rope left.
— "Darling…". He kisses you softly, not caring about your fear or disgust. — "If I can't have you, no one can".
Before you can even react, Kento is already strangling you. His warm hands holding your neck in a deadly grip. You can see his eyes full of resentment and desire.
Not satisfied enough and in a trance of anger and jealousy, he stamps your head against the wall violently. You feel the stinging throb on the back of your head, it makes you feel dizzy and numb. But it doesn't stop there, he keeps banging your head against the wall, all while his hands are still strangling you.
The commission is immense, immeasurable to the point you can't even think about fighting and escaping. You're completely petrified. Kento seems to be possessed by something or someone that is blinding his reason and your own pain.
The minutes keep passing and your boyfriend is beating you to death. The pain isn't unbeatable anymore, it's even comforting now that you realize this is the end and you won't escape.
You think about your family, about your friends, about the warnings that your classmates made about him but you decided to ignore. You think about your life, a short one but full of nice moments that you maybe didn't appreciate enough. You think about all your struggles, triumphs, goals and dreams.
You start feeling extremely tired, just like if you were about to faint. In your last moments of life, you apologize, in your mind, to your family and friends for not being able to go home ever again…
Even when your body succumbs, he doesn't stop hurting you until some minutes after when he snaps out. He just killed you with his bare hands. — "Wha… What?... Darling?". The blonde guy is in a state of shock when your body falls inert to the floor. How could that possibly happen? He doesn't remember using so much strength, he wasn't even hitting you so hard… Why is there blood on the wall and a hole on your head?
He killed you.
He's a monster, no. He was protecting you, yes. Absolutely yes. He was protecting you from the people that hurt him and was trying to take you away from him, now no one will ever touch you again. It was an act of love and because he loves you so much he's going to bear all your sins in him
Next morning, Kento woke up in that house, brushed his teeth, washed his face and went to the kitchen to make himself a sandwich for breakfast.
Today's breakfast is a sandwich, a roast beef and cheese sandwich.
— "I will always love you, you know?" Nanami was talking alone and eating his sandwich with a pleased smile. — "I know it will take some days but that's how commitment is. Just like marriage where we become one with each other…"
He peacefully eats his sandwich slowly, taking note of all the flavors and sensations he's having. It's delightful, fulfilling. After finishing his sandwich he thanks his love for everything, for making him happy. Then his expression darkens and he looks for a second at the fridge to then look once more at the empty plate.
— "So this is how you taste, darling…"
