“My Culture”

Culture, Culture, Culture, Culture………. a very important aspect of anyone’s life. Think about what culture means to you. My culture is made up of a structure that was ingrained by my father, family, and things that were surrounding me in the beginning 90s era. My family from my earliest recollection has always loved music, which deems the reason why I still choose that music over any music in this era. Artist like Jeffrey Osborne, Teddy, Isley brothers, and several dozens of artists from that era along with other music genres have capitalized my ear for excellent music. My family also showed me the full meaning of the word FAMILY, the great and the ugly. Coming up, clothing has always caught my attention from Ric Flair & The Four Horsemen in the late 70s, to other great casual dressers that it molded in to go that direction early after high school. So, having the loafers or Stacy Adams are a must for me, if I’m looking to relax I’ll pick some casual house slippers. Even though in this day and time, dressing like that is now deemed less popular by the younger population (which is their faults for not liking it). To me personally, that makes me feel crisper and more business leveled when I dress as I usually do which is casual. In my free time, I spend a lot of time either listening to music or watching documentaries. Science, history, and bio docs interests me the most and I’ll make time to watch any of them. My favorites are docs about “The making of” movies of horror, adventure, or comedy that gives me direct insight on the details of coming up with films. As well as docs on certain interesting people as well inform me more about them that I find intriguing. Career wise, I am an up and coming interior designer that’s looking to create and build projects and homes for people that can last a lifetime. I would like to say I identify myself with certain people that have multiple duties of creating and working, doing what they love to do and creating at the top level there is. Eddie Murphy, John Carpenter, Wes Craven, Seth Rogen, Vince Russo and others have inspired me to continue the path of creating product as an artist and to do them out of love for the craft. This has been a big inspiration with me getting into interior design and learning aspects that were unknown to me. Even though my craft is different then those creators, the drive and determination will always be the same. I also am a gigantic basketball fan/advocate. My team is the Spurs, favorite player in this generation has been Kawhi Leonard for the last 7 or 8 years. Outside of the classic players and that generation of basketball that still seems to be the best era, this era of basketball has key players that makes the game enjoyable for the most part. I wouldn’t change any parts of my culture or aspects of the inner makings because if not for those teachings, morals, and information I would not be as strong and appreciative as I am now I believe. We all go through certain things for a living and each things has molded each of us to a better person.
