you sighed, head resting against satoru’s shoulder as you cuddled on the couch. you gestured animatedly with your hands as you vented, “and then mika just swooped in and acted like she did everything. i didn’t even get a chance to explain because everyone was too busy praising her. it was so annoying—”

“kiss me.”

your head snapped up, and you pulled away slightly, sitting upright to glare at him. “what?”

“I said, kiss me,” he repeated with a smirk, tilting his head back against the couch as if he didn’t have a care in the world.

your pout was immediate, arms crossing tightly over your chest. “you weren’t even listening, were you? here I am, opening up about something that really bothers me, and all you—”

satoru reached out, catching your wrist and gently tugging you back into his arms. you landed against his chest with a small huff, cheeks still puffed out in frustration.

“i was listening,” he murmured, his chin resting lightly on top of your head. “you stayed up late working on the project, skipped dinner, and poured your heart into it. then your professor barely acknowledged you, and that girl—what’s her name? mika— took credit for everything. now you’re mad because no one noticed how much effort you put in.”

your body went still, wide eyes staring up at him in surprise. “you… you really heard all of that?”

“every word,” satoru said, his lips brushing lightly against your temple. “now, can I please have my kiss?”

you bit your lip, the corners of your mouth twitching as a smile began to form. with a quiet laugh, you tilted your face up to meet his gaze. “you’re such a pain, you know that?”

“yeah, yeah.” he smirked, cupping your cheek. “now stop stalling.”

this time, you leaned in willingly, lips meeting his in a soft, lingering kiss.
